-RAVEN-
"Hi" Amanda awkwardly smiles and waves at me. I raise an eyebrow and uncross my legs to stand up straight.
"Just 'Hi' ?" I open up my arms, waiting for her to hug me. She hits my stomach and grins.
"Forgot to do that." I roll my eyes, pull her to my chest and sqeeze her tight. She gasps and hits my shoulder blades. "C-can't...B-breath!!!" I chuckle and let her go.
"Serves ya right." I bark while she groans. I look at the white little mansion infront of me. "Are your parents at home?"
She shakes her head. "No, my mom will come in an hour and a half." I nod and put my leather jacket into the car.
"Is it okay for me to be here?"
"Yeah. I guess."
"Should they know that I am here?"
"My mom wouldn't mind." She looks at me with a grin on her face. "Are you perhaps... afraid of facing elders?"
I shake my head and smile. "It's nothing like that. I don't want to be disrespectful towards your parents. I mean, what is so necessary- that a young man visits a young woman at this late hour? Wouldn't that be weird?"
Her crystal grey eyes have light shimmers and a light red ink fills her cheeks. -I like that thoughtful look on her face-. "Y-you're right. But my mom is a person who would love to meet others. You know, I'm not a social person, who brings friends home everytime. So maybe, a change would be okay." She smiles and leads me into her mansion.
She opens the door. "What took you so long?" I shrug by her sudden question as she giggles. Her eyes land on my outfit. "Is it because of...."
I rub my neck. "Yeah." -Damn it... I can't hold our eyecontact for long.-
She blinks. "Oh my-" I can hear her cute laugher. Maybe, it was worth it to change for some minutes.

Once I've stepped in, my eyes immediately analyse the room. From the sight of the big flat screen on the wall, I guess this must be the living room. The walls look plain with those white ink and grey-violet furnitures. Not so over decorated but still looks beautifully decent. Pretty neat and clean. Her parents must have a high standards. I really feel out of place in here.
Amanda takes a sit at the grey sofa and pats on her side. "Take a sit." I do as I'm told, but leaving her 15cm space. She chuckles and leans closer.
I need to talk. "So about today... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have reacted that way." -But that's because I feel attached to you... FUCK NO! RAVEN, SHUT UP!-
"It's fine. I want to apologise aswell." Her small hands grip on a pillow.
I nod. "What did... Blake and you do?" I should try taking small steps, if I want to know what really happened.

-AMANDA-
I tell him all the details, except the fact that I asked Blake some personal questions. During our converstaion, Raven remained silent, avoided my eyes and I notice how his jaw muscles kept on twitching.
Sometimes I had to repeat it, because he didn't pay attention at all and made the lamest excuses I've ever heard, like: "Sorry, can you repeat that again. I was...somewhere else with my mind." or "You spoke too fast, again please."
I stopped talking and wait for him to talk. He leans back, shuts his eyes and murmurs "Fuck!" under his breath.
-I don't understand. Why is he upset?...Okay, maybe because I did break his warnings afterall...-
He runs his fingers through his messy hair, then rubs his nose bridge and opens his eyes after a while. "Amanda." His raspy voice appears again.
"Yeah?" I ask unsurely.
"Make a reserveation this week for me. We will do something together." He says and smirkes. "So it's settled then." -He must love deciding for himself.- I playfully groan.
After a while I stand up and head to the kitchen. "I'll do us some snacks." -More like, I don't know what I should make.-
He follows me and stops infront of the door. Reminds me of Edward Cullen shyly waiting for permission before he can act. "May I help out?" He asks. I grin and pull him inside. He widens his eyes by my sudden move. -Who would have known, that I can surprise this attractive guy?-
"Do you always cook at home?" I ask while searching for milk, backingpowder, sugar, eggs, wheat flour and more.
"Yeah. For my siblings, mostly. What are we going to bake?" He looks at the ingredients and cramples the arms of his shirt up. -Ugh! He's distracting me with his... muscular arms!-
I shrug. "My mom just went shopping and this is all we've got." His eyes meet mine. Making me flush. -Dear mom, why didn't you do the shopping sooner?-
With out any hesitation, he grabs a bowl and cracks some eggs. "What are you planning to do?" -With this little ingredients, I wonder.-
"Are you a fan of brownies?" He grins while adding milk and butter to it.
-BROWNIES! OH MY!- "Yes! But how will y-"
Raven snickers and starts stirring. "These ingredients are enough."
I glance at his muscular arm, up to his biceps... It's defined and twitching, even underneath the sleeves. He notices my stares and chuckles. "Are you going to keep your eyes on me? Missed me that much?"
-ARGH!-
I look away and grab the chocolates. "Shush! Keep stirring!" I know that my face looks as red as a tomato right now, however I need to focus on my melting chocolate. - I missed him. I mean, he kind of grew into my heart...-
He suddenly creeps behind me and dips his finger into the bowl. Before I can turn to look at him, he touches my my nose and grins. "Upps, sorry I had to. You were giving that 'look' to the chocolate, instead of me."
"Raven!" I dip my finger and wipe it on his cheek. "So, you are jealous because of my chocolate?" He doesn't dodge it, instead he smirkes.
"Ooh, you did not just wipe chocolate on my pretty face!" He grabs the bowl from my arm and lifts the spoon up.
'"Hey!" I whine and run around the table while a tall, cocky and good looking guy is chasing me from behind with his chocolate and spoon.

"Wasn't bad, right?" Raven grins and hands me a plate full of brownies, which looks damn tasy. My phone vibrates, but I choose to ignore it.
"For you, it wasn't bad!" I pout. He spread chocolate allover my face inscluding my hair and I had struggles to wash it. I take a bite of the brownie. It doesn't work, I can't hesitate on this one.My mouth is filled with warm, soft and a bit liquidated chocolate.
-My parents bake a lot but this has a rare taste. I can't even describe it! -
I spot him staring at me. He smiles and takes one. "Is the texture fine? I didn't want to overheat it - maybe I should have."
"You're kidding me right?! This is Perfect!" I take another one and he chuckles.
"Is that so?" He places the tools and dishes to the sink. My phone starts buzzing again. I see an unknown number on it. -Who could it be?- I can feel his eyes following me, even though he's washing as I stand up. "Where are you going?"
"Room." I walk upstairs, shut the door close and take the call. "Hello?" -I'm pretty nervous. Who could this be?- I'm waiting patiently for a reply.
"Hello. Are you Amanda Miller?" A deep voice asks. -What do I do?-
"Y-yes..." -DAMN IT! WHAT IF IT'S A PEDOPHILE?!-
"I'm Officer Avery. You're arrested for hacking into our systems. Please go to the nearest Police Station. Otherwise, I'll hire a hitman. Greetings, from the FBI."
I feel shivers running down my spine.
"Sir! T-There must be some misunderstandings and you have mistaken me for another person! I haven't done anything wrong-"
The officer spontaneously bursts into laugher, making me feel like I'm a fool.
"Nathan? I should've known!" He really pisses me off! If only he wasn't my bestfriend and Court's boyfriend, he would be dead now! He always like to pull pranks on others! Thanks to him I have trusting issues."What were you thinking?! Couldn't you just say that you're Nathan?!"
He's still laughing out loud on the other end."Sorry, Amy-bear. I had to take that opportunity, I mean it's funny!"
I shake my head even though I know he can't see me. "Why didn't you tell me that you have a new number?"
"Actually, I have a new phone. Babe destroyed my phone." He lowers his voice.
Now it's my turn to laugh. "Why doesn't that surprise me." I've known both of them for long.
He grunts. "It wasn't my faut this time! I didn't know that it was our 10th month!" -Idiot...-
"You're unbelievably Stupid. Nath... YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN YOUR MONTHSARYS ARE!" I can hear him groan.
"What should I do?! Amy-bear...I need help!!!"
I chuckle and give him advises. Like dates, gifts and a proper apology. He thanks me and hangs up. I'm the youngest from us three but the matured one in our friendship.
Soon, I hear a knock on my door. -Shoot! I forgot Raven!- "Come in."
He's standing infront of the opened door, looking at me and my messy room. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt." I shake my head.
"It's fine. What took you so long?"
"Just finished cleaning up." He admits and I try to lead him inside my room, but he hesitates.
"C'mon! Are you a shy Vampire or something?" I raise an eyebrow and he grunts.
"Amanda." He calmly mutters. "I'm a man not a vampire." I watch him carefully sit on my bed. His eyes wanders around my book shelf to my walls. It's filled with childhood pictures. He stares at them.
"W-what is it?" I stutter. -How embarrassing!- Raven stands up and walks towards the wall. He takes one picture and grins.
"Cute. You should tie your hair up often." I flush at his comment and look at it. He took the picture of the little 5 year old me eating a melon, with a ponytail and looking sweaty. -It can't be any worse, can it?-
"You're wearing glasses?" He's referring to one of my friendship pictures. I see myself with glasses and Court holding an angry Nath. Brings back old memories -our teen years-. I nod and he stares at me. "Are you wearing grey lenses, perhaps?" I shake my head.
"No, this is my natural eye color." I say and he smiles.
"You're rare." He puts the pictures back and heads to the door.
"Says the right person, having different eye colors." I bark back as he chuckles. I follow him down stairs.

"Amanda!" My mom opens the door. She's wearing a formal red circle dress, which match her curled blonde hair. As always, she's looking like an 80's queen.
"Sissy!" Miles comes running towards me but stops as soon as he spots Raven."Who's that?" My mom looks at me and then at Raven. -Embarrassing!!!-
"This is Raven. A friend of mine." I introduce him. He walks towards my mom and gives her a hand.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Miller." They shake hands and she smiles.
"No dear, the pleasure is all mine. Call me Adelaide." I know my mom can't keep her eyes off him. -Yes, mom. He's attractive.-
He returns her smile, surprisingly not a forced one. "May I help you?"
She's still smiling. "That would be nice." He takes all of the grocery bags and heads to the kitchen. As soon as he disappears, my mom gives me a quick stare. -Is she mad?- To my surprise she silently squeals and points at the kitchen. "Is he your boyfriend?!"
-Not again!-
I groan. "Mom! I said he's just a friend." She's still excited. "I mean it!" Her blue-grey eyes start to shimmer.
-That is not a good sign!-
"Whatever~ I'll be honest with you. I like him already." She winks and gives me tons of reasons why. Like his looks, his formal words, his smile etcetera.

-I'm really nervous. Meeting her family is tough, although they are really kind.-
I pack all the groceries out and put them to the right orders. To the fridge, shelf and boxes. -I know this isn't something a guest should do, but I can't leave things like this.-
"Hi." The little boy appears before me. "I'm Miles!" He smiles and reveals little visible dimples. -Cute, reminds me of little Troy.-
"Hey there, little man." I smile back. "I'm Raven. Want some brownies?" His eyes widens and his smile almost reaches his hypnotising grey eyes.
"YES!" -He's eager.- I chuckle and hand him the plate. Miles looks just like Amanda. Cute, innocent and has those grey eyes. His little tiny hands grab a brownie and it immediately disappears in his mouth, leaving chocolate stains on his fingers, clothes and cheeks. I laugh as he smiles, showing me his chocolate teeth. "Ish gud!"
I nod." So, how old are you?" He stares at his hands and shows me a five fingers.
"I em thish uld, end u?" He's still speaking with his full mouth.
"19."
"Wut?" He looks confused and I chuckle. I show him ten fingers and then nine. "Oh. Okay!"
Amanda comes into the kitchen with Mrs. Millers behind her, who is smiling at me.
Miles looks at his mom. "Mommy! Raven is this old!" He shows her ten fingers in the air. -Where are the nine fingers?...-
Amanda snickers. "Wow, I didn't know you were ten." I send her a small glare and she laughs. This kid forgot to show the nine.
Mrs. Millers giggles and takes my arm. "Amanda, be kind and entertain him." I want to tell her that I'm fine being in the kitchen, but she continues talking. "Meanwhile, I'm going to cook dinner. You will stay, right?" Her eyes are sparkling, followed with a bright smile. -Why is it so hard to decline the offer?-
"I will. May I help you prepare the meal?" I smile back. Mrs. Miller flushes and Amanda gives her mom a glare.
"No! You're our special guest! You shouldn't help out at all! You've helped enough with my groceries." Her eyes land on Amanda and they exchange looks. -I don't understand. Do all women do this? Is this some kind of secret communication?-
She takes my arm and leads me out.
After a short distance away from the kitchen, she looks at me. "You didn't have to be so kind." She purses her lips together and smacks my biceps. "Why do you have to be so kind?!"
I chuckle. "I can't deny a woman's request."
"Damn, Gentleman." She murmurs and we take a sit on the couch.

"Dinner is ready!" Mom calls us from the living room and we head to the dining room. We may not be rich, but my mother somehow manages our home to look like we are. There's Spaghetti, Lasagna, grilled chicken wings and mom's apple-pie. -Seriously?... I think she overdid it today.-
Raven looks at me and I awkwardly smile back. "Take a sit." He does so and I see mom happily looking at us. She will surely ask me a bunch of questions. I sit beside him while Mom and Miles are on the opposite side.
"We pray first, before we eat." I whisper to Raven. -It's a habit.-
He smiles and whispers back. "I know. We do that too." I look at him and my mom clears her throat. -Awkward!!!-
We close our eyes and hold each others hands, like a circle. My mom starts praying out loud. "Bless us, O Lord and Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty through Christ our Lord. Amen."
"Amen." We three reply back.
Soon, we started eating. I'm shocked by how perfect Raven's table manners are. It's as if he's been raised by the Queen.
"This is very delicious Mrs. Miller. I'd love to learn how to cook at this level." -He isn't serious, now is he?!- He gives her a deligthed smile and my mom flushes all over the face.
-Now, I know where I got that.- She awkwardly giggles.
"Oh, this is easy to cook! I'd love to teach you! And call me Adelaide! You don't have to be so formal, my dear." He smiles at her reply. -Probably that's what he expected her to say.- "Raven, what is your Surename?" I glance at mom.
"Johnson." He replies and she suddenly gasps.
"So, you're that Top-Student! Amanda, why didn't you tell me?!" My mom and Raven look at me.
-I'm not really an A-Student but my grades are above the average level. Somehow, I've never knocked Raven's Scores down. I mean, he's like an Angel, knowing everything. My mom used to ask me why I can't get any higher and when I showed her the end results, JOHNSON was always marked at the top. Then COHEN and following MILLER... Now, it all makes sense... I'VE BEEN GOING TO SCHOOL WITH THESE GUYS AND DIDN'T NOTICED IT?!-
"I didn't know, either." I lie and Raven tries to hide a smile, while my elbow bores into his stomach, underneath the table. He silently coughs.
"Are you perhaps Phoebe's Son?" She looks eager to know. He nods and she squeals. "Greet your mommy from me, okay? And how come you don't go to church? I see Pheebs every sundays." -We always go to church and honestly, I've never seen the Johnsons. -
"I do attempt church, Mrs. Miller."
"Adelaide, my dear." She corrects him with a warm smile.
"I'm mostly at the back rows with my family. Sometimes, I work and can't come." He explains.
"What kind of work?" -She really doesn't know when to stop. I'm actually also eager to know, if he'll say that he's an author.-
"I write books and do some private business." His voice is calm and I can sense mom giving me that 'NOW-IS-YOUR-CHANCE' look. I look away from her and pretend to continue eating.
After dinner Raven, the oh so great gentleman, wanted to help my mom but she refused. Meanwhile, if we are alone, she's always mad at me for not helping out.
"One more thing Raven."
"Yes, ma'am?" He waits for her to speak and so do I. -You never know, what your mom tells your friend, when you aren't there.-
"Please, don't do adultery things. Both of you." She warns. I feel the heat popping up in my body.
-OH MY -!-
"MOM!" -I'm so embarrassed, I don't know anymore!-
I stare at Raven. He blushes aswell and quickly assures her that, there's no way he would do such things. She just laughs out loud and winks.
"What are adultery things?" -Oh damn it!- Innocent little Miles pops out and looks confused at us. My mom looks shooked just as I am.
-This is her fault! What do we do now?!-
"Great, mom." I mumble and she gasps.
Raven walks towards Miles and lifts him up. "It's nothing special. Why don't we play something?" My brother immediately forgets his unanswered question and grins.
"LET'S GO!" He yells and Raven laughs, carrying him out to the living room. -Wow... He's really good when it comes to kids.-
"Well saved." I sigh and mom lets out a bigger one.
"Yup." She replies and we both peek at the two playing with LEGO bricks.
I quickly grab my phone out and hide behind the doorframe. -Why? Because watching this is just amazing!-
As I finished taking a picture and watching them play, I turn away and grin. -Can't wait to show this to Courtney!-
However, my smile vanishes after I took a closer look on the picture. My face starts to heat up again and my mom raises her eyebrows at me.
-Raven smiled directly into the camera...-
