Después de tanto tiempo había retomado de nuevo con algunos de mis trabajos en casa. También tenía que ponerme al tanto de la fundación en New York. Tenía que ocuparme de todo aquello. Habíamos sido invitado a un gran evento que se realiza anualmente en la ciudad, va muchísima gente, famosos de los cuales hay modelos, cantantes, políticos, etc. La idea principal es recaudar fondos para todas las instituciones que se dedican ayudar en el medio ambiente o ayudar a las personas.
La verdad que tenía muchas ganas de ir ya que tuvieron el amable gesto de invitarnos a participar. Pero no estaba muy segura de asistir, tenía que viajar no sabía que hacer con Sophie, si llevarla o no. Solo sería por un día que estaría allí y la noche del evento debía dejarla sola. No estaba muy segura.
Se lo comenté Antoine, me dijo que no me preocupara tanto y vaya. Era mi obligación. Justo ese fin de semana el también estaría en New York, iría con su hermano y su hermana. Justo el mismo día había quedado en ir a ver un partido de la NBA con su hermano, era una hora antes de que comience el evento, dijo que su hermana no tenía problema en hacerse cargo de Sophie por unas horas. El evento era el sábado pero decidimos salir el viernes, organizamos una salida entre amigos a un club importante de New York. Me gustaba mucho la idea. Durante el vuelo íbamos jugando a las cartas con los chicos, tenía de un lado a Christine y del otro a Rory.
—¿A donde vas!?—le pregunte a Christine que se levanto tomándose la cabeza—¿Estás bien?
—Sí lo estoy. Solamente que hoy me levante muy temprano y estoy cansada. Me voy a recostar un poco para que se me pase el dolor de cabeza.
—Está bien, descansa—dije dándole un beso. Realmente que debía de estar cansada ella es una chica muy enérgica pero esa mañana estuvo trabajando y se la notaba agotada.
Seguimos jugando a las cartas con los chicos ya falta poco para llegar. De todas formas moría por un segundo tirarme en la cama del hotel y dormir. Ese viernes fuimos al estudio muy temprano hacer algunas pruebas de sonidos y ensayar.

Por la tarde teníamos que ir a una entrevista en Radio City y prefería estar de buen humor para los fans que estarían allí. Me quede solo en el hotel mirando una película aprovechando que el clima no estaba para nada bueno, hacía frío y llovía. Christine se fue con todo el grupo, por otra parte mejor porque quería estar solo. Dormir un buen rato hasta que desperté, aún no había llegado nadie.
No podía dejar de pensar en La foto que Rory me mostró, me fue inevitable revisar sus perfil para ver si había algo de la bebé.

Lo primero que hicimos cuando llegamos fue ir al hotel donde nos alojábamos dejamos las cosas y después salimos a pasear un poco. Por suerte Sophie era tranquila y casi ni se sentía, nos dejaba pasear tranquilos. Estuvimos de un lado al otro disfrutando de la tarde hasta que comenzó a llover y se puso muy frío, regresamos al hotel para que Sophie no se enferme. Cuando llegue estaba llenísimo de gente. Por suerte fui con Noah porque hubiese sido un caos encontrarlo allí. Había un sector que solamente entraban los famosos con una credencial VIP. Dos escenarios, muchos stands que vendían diferentes cosas para juntar dinero, un sector de comidas. Todo para recaudar dinero.
Con Noah estuvimos un rato entre toda la gente en el sector general, después nos fuimos al VIP porque teníamos que estar para la foto con los demás representantes de las instituciones. Estaba llenos de famosos. Todo el "Caretaje" se concentraba allí. Odiaba tanto aquel ambiente desde que estuve con Andrew. Todos presumiendo su vida glamurosa haciéndose las buenas personas comprometida con el evento, no quiero meter a todos en la misma bolsa paro la mayoría estaba allí por obligación.
Con Noah hicimos relaciones con algunos políticos que estaban interesados en ayudar a nuestra institución. Por suerte las horas se pasaban rápido y dentro de todo se había tornado un gran clima. Grandes cantantes se presentaron a dar un show y todo eso era gratis para la gente, me pareció una gran idea.

Estaba de los más tranquila hablando con Antoine hasta que se apagaron las luces y lo presentaron. De verdad no tenía ni idea de que iban a estar allí. Menos mal que estábamos alejados del escenario. Solamente tocaron unas pocas canciones y bajaron. En ese momento comencé a sentirme incómoda. Pero tampoco quería irme de allí como escapando para que Antoine no se diera cuenta.
Fingí que no me importaba. Continuaba hablando con Antoine o con alguna persona que se acercaba hablarnos. Unos minutos más y nos vamos pensaba.
Ya nos estábamos por ir hasta que me doy vuelta y entre las personas los veo a Adam. Días antes hable con él y no me había comentado nada de que estarían allí. Bueno yo tampoco le dije a él que vendría.
Se acercó a saludarnos y cuando veo con las personas que él estaba, se encontraba Drew con Christine, Alex con su mujer, Rory y varias personas más. Drew nos quedo mirando y cuando vio que lo vi rápidamente voltio la mirada hacia otro lado. Genial lo que faltaba tener que volver a cruzármelo.

Teníamos que cruzar exactamente por la misma puerta. No había escapatoria, mientras caminaba no dejaba de pensar en que nos íbamos a cruzar todos en la misma puerta.
