I never liked walking through town. They always glare at Sato and I as though we're filth. Mom tells us to ignore them, that it's not worth a fight. It always takes everything in me to ignore the glares, but I do. The only time I let loose is when Sato is insulted, and now Makoto as well.
I could feel my twin stiffen uncomfortably as another glare was directed towards us. Though like me, he didn't acknowledge them. Instead he inched just a little closer to me, which I responded to quickly by grabbing his hand and throwing a grin at him. Sato hated walking through town even more than I did.
As soon as we made it to the docks any discomfort was forgotten. We were here for a reason. The reason of course was an upcoming ship, with a familiar jolly roger. The ship visited twice a year, sometimes three times if we were lucky.
A large grin lit up my face as my heart leaped in excitement. He would be docking soon.
With whispering waves, came a cool breeze which welcomed us. It ruffled my white dress and blew my hair back. The strong salty air warmed me, but I wasn't thrilled with the faint fishy smell that lingered around the air.
Soon enough my grin dropped as I began tapping my foot against the wooden docks. "I hate the wait." I grumbled, growing anxious at the slowly creeping ship.
"Mitsu, he'll be docking soon. Just wait." Sato smiled, waiting calmly.
It wasn't another minute before I threw my hands out dramatically and groaned out another complaint. "This is taking forever! I'm done waiting!" I declared, bending down to unclasp my sandals.
"Mitsu," Sato frowned, watching me as I kicked off my shoes. He sighed, bending down to pick them up as I leaped for the ocean with a grin on my face.
The chill of the sea sent a shock through my body, though it didn't slow me down as I was used to it. I knew Sato wouldn't jump in, he didn't know how to swim yet. Mom taught me because the first time I saw Shanks come I threw myself into the ocean without a second thought and almost drowned. Mom was there with us, so she had saved me of course. It was after that she taught me to swim. Sato refused, apparently almost see me drown had a negative effect on him.
I'm assuming the pirates saw me dive, as they began lowering a ladder for me to climb. Salty sea water got into my mouth, making me gag as I spat it out and shaking my head in disgust. Breathing out of my nose roughly, I got all the water out as well.
Grabbing onto the ladder I climbed up the ship, a laughing shrill escaping me when hands swooped down and picked me up. Immediately, I was placed on the ship's deck, and a black cloak was draped around me.
Looking up I grinned at the red haired man, his straw hat securely on his head like always. "Uncle Shanks!" I giggled, throwing myself in his arms.
He let out a booming laugh as he wrapped his arms around me. "Nice to see you again, Mitsu!"
"Hey! Don't I get a hug too?" I pulled away from Shanks to see who had spoken. He had thrown his cigarette out and opened his arms. He knew of my strong sense of smell, though I would still smell it on him I liked that he tried.
Shanks stood up, lifting me with him, and turned away from Ben. He stuck out his tongue teasingly. "No. Get your own adorable niece!"
Ben chuckled, hitting Shanks on the head before he swiped me away from my uncle. Another giggle escaped me as I proceeded in hugging Ben, though my nose wrinkled in distaste in the cigarette smell that stuck to him.
"Now, why would I do that when I already have one right here?" He asked, grinning at a moping Shanks.
"Uncle Ben!" I cheered.
"Is that Mitsu I hear?" Another gruff voice asked, making my eyes widen as I shoved myself away from Ben.
The blonde wavy hair was the give-a-way. My grin widened even more. "Yasopp!" Once again, I lunged myself at another pirate.
Yasopp was still fairly new to me. The first time I met him was the last time Shanks visited, about six months ago. Though I instantly liked Yasopp, especially since he told the best stories to Sato and I about his life and his son, Usopp.
"You're soaking wet!" He cried, wringing out my braided hair. "Why'd you swim to the ship again?"
Shanks laughed, stepping up to pat me on the head, his cloak still resting on my shoulders. "Mitsu is too antsy to stay in one place. Every time she sees my ship she ends up swimming to us."
I grinned, then hugged Shanks's leg. "Ne, ne, Uncle Shanks!" He looked down at me in question with a smile on his face. "Sato and I made our first friend! You've gotta meet him! He's so cool, well actually he's kinda quiet. And he has a big head. Sato said I can't say that, but he has a really big head. But I like him! He complimented Sato!"
Shanks smiled widely at me. "I can't wait to meet this big headed friend of yours, Mitsu."

Much to my mother's annoyance I had returned home soaking wet. She knew it was going to happen, I could see it all over her face. This time, she had a towel and fresh clothes ready. Though she was annoyed, a small smirk played on her lips.
"Ka-san, Mitsu swam to Uncle Shanks again." Sato snickered, walking in front of me.
Though I'm sure my mom could already piece together what I had done, since I was soaking wet, it didn't stop me from frowning at my brother. "Snitch." Sato responded with poking his tongue at me. "You're just jealous that Shanks likes me more than you!"
"Na-uh!" He denied, now glaring at me. "Uncle Shanks likes both of us equally!" Then he looked at our Uncle, who stood just behind me with his crew. "Isn't that right?!"
Shanks looked amused at us and nodded. "Yes. I like you both equally." I frowned, until Shanks winked at me when Sato turned away.
"Come on it, kids." Our mom interrupted any more bickering. Seeing Shanks my mom smiled at him. She ushered me closer to her and began rubbing the towel over my head, drying my hair first."I think the sea isn't doing you too well, brother. You're looking ten years older."
Shanks fake gasped, "Me? Look ten years older? I might be the older of us two, but I do not look that old. I believe out of the two of us, you're the one with a few wrinkles."
Instantly, mom paused in towel drying my hair to glare at Shanks. "First, I do not have any wrinkles. Children keep you young. Second, we're twins. I hardly call you being older than me."
"Ah, but I'm three minutes older than you, Sayomi." Shanks taunted, then opened his arms for a hug from my mom. She rolled her eyes and shoved him back while wrapping the towel around me.
Ben laughed, patting my mom on the shoulder as he walked into the house after Shanks. "Your brother is harder to handle without you around. His ego is bigger too since nobody can out drink him either."
I looked at my Uncle who pouted at Ben. "But Sayomi's the hyper of the two of us. How am I harder to handle?" Ben ignored him and walked past him. "Ben?"

"Like this, Lucky?" Sato asked, poking his tongue out as he followed the man's directions.
Turning to look at my brother Lucky nodded with enthusiasm, who was frosting a cake for mom. "Yes! You're really good at this, Sato!"
My brother's face flushed as he smiled. "Thanks! I hope Ka-san will like it!"
Meanwhile behind both males I was panicking. Lucky had given me a cake to frost as well, but it was turning out the complete opposite from Sato's. As in it was a complete disaster. Currently I was trying to put out the fire that had built up on the cake.
My panic rose when I felt Lucky tuen to look at me. "Mitsu, how are you-." Lucky stopped, blinking at the fire in shock. "How did you catch it on fire?!" He shouted, though his grin didn't leave his face.
"Help me!" I demanded, jumping off the stool as I pulled at my hair. "I ruined Shanks cake!"
Not wasting a moment, Lucky threw the cake in the sink and poured water over the fire, putting it out. I sighed then pouted. I really had ruined his cake.
"Wow." Sato whispered, looking at me in awe. "You really have a talent for catching food on fire."
"Shut up, Sato!" I growled, puffing my cheeks out as my face burned in embarrassment. "Lucky! We need a new cake for Shanks!"
"Of course, Mitsu." He smiled, "But I think Ben needs your help. I heard him calling for you."
I blinked, frowning at the news. I didn't head Ben calling for me. Shrugging I followed Lucky's orders, and went to find Ben. "I'll help you later, Lucky! Let me go help Ben first!"
"Okay! I'm just gonna bake the cake!" Lucky shouted.
Next time I won't try to use fire to help smooth the frosting. That way it shouldn't catch on fire. Hopefully.

"I thought you said he has a big head." Shanks mumbled to me, staring at Makoto who had turned red while Sato gaped at Shanks and I.
I nodded my head. "He does! Just look!"
Shanks tilted his head, squinting his eyes to try to see it. "I mean, he kinda does. But you made it seem like he had a bobble head. I think it's just a little larger than normal."
Makoto glanced towards Sato. His entire face was tomato red, all the way to the tips of his ears. He had joined us to celebrate Mom's and Shanks's birthday. A pointed birthday hat was strapped on top of his head, though I thought it looked smaller on his head since it was so big. "I have a big head?"
"Oh my god." Sato grumbled, then quickly looked to our friend and shook his head. "No, I don't think so. They're just weird!"
"I didn't say bobble head big!" I protested, sighing at Shanks. "I just said big! It is big though," He nodded in response. "And his eyes are too big for his head."
"That's true." Shanks nodded again, looking at Makoto's eyes. "I think his eyes are kinda girly, they're cute though."
My mom had overhead us two talking and had walked over to Shanks and I. Though she didn't scold us for our conversation. Instead she looked at Makoto with her head tilted, then she nodded. "I think Mitsu's right. Makoto's head is a bit big."
"See!" I exclaimed, smiling as I wasn't the only one to see it.
Then she smiled at Makoto. "But I think Makoto will grow into that big head nicely. He'll make a fine man one day." Makoto's face turned a darker shade of red at the comment and he inched backwards embarrassingly. "Now come on, guys. We're about to light the candles."
"Oh! Makoto!" I grinned, "Sato and Lucky made the cakes! You'll love them! I didn't get to make the cake, because by the time I got back it was already done."
"How unfortunate." Sato said monotonously, keeping his face straight. I frowned at Sato, he only did that when he lied, but surely he was telling the truth.
Shrugging it off, I pulled Makoto and Sato towards the cakes. "Come on!"
