"Keep your head down, Katsu-ya." Law grumbled, pushing my head down as he pilled the hat lower on my head.
"Stop that." I growled, slapping his hand away and ticking in a few strands of crimson locks. "This hat isn't even cool. It looks stupid."
Law rolled his eyes as we approached the auction house. "I'm letting you use my hat to help hide you, don't insult it. Kid-ya is going to be there. I don't want a fight to break out because he sees you. Your bounty is new, so your face is fresh on everyone's mind. It'll drag more attention."
I puffed out my cheeks as he walked ahead towards his crew, who had already grabbed some seats. "Your face is more noticeable, since it's so ugly."
The captain paused to look back at me, a daring glare on his face. "What was that, Crimson Hurricane?"
"Shut up." I pushed him into the auction room. "I said nothing. Go sit with your crew."
Rather than follow after the doctor, I leaned again the wall by the door making sure to hide in the shadows. While I had been on Gol's island I had the chance to meet many pirates. Some that I formed some friendships with, surprisingly Law included in that group. Others wanted to kill me, like Kid, though I suspect he wants to kill everyone. Then a handful were indifferent to me, which I was fine with.
With that being said, it;s the only reason I didn't fight Law when he shoved his giant god awful black and white polka dot beanie on my head. I knew there was going to be quite a few pirates who would wanna at least fight me here. Plus with the Celestial Dragons here, I didn't want anymore eyes on me. I didn't doubt they would know of the bran on my arm.
The doors beside me busted open as more pirates filtered in. A frown pulled at my lips as I pushed myself further against the wall. Kid had entered.
"Hm?" He mused, a smile crossing his face as he looked at Law. "There's a familiar face. North Blue's 200 Million bounty. Trafalgar Law." He took a few steps closer, passing me up much to my relief. "There's been some pretty bad rumors about you."
It took me a moment to remember that while Law had seen Kid's and mine fight, Kid had not noticed Law. Especially after Mamoru stepped in and quickly sent the Captain with his tail between his legs.
When Law didn't acknowledge Kid, he continued with a slight annoyed tone. "Your manners are lacking too."
Finally, Law turned around to acknowledge the Captain. Calmly, with a smile on his face, the doctor raised his hand with his middle finger raised to greet Kid. His smile didn't drop from his face, even when Kid frowned.
I pressed my lips together and looked away as laughter bubbled up in me. Steadying my breathing, I managed to keep silent.

The auction had started a while ago, and I had yet to see Camie. Though, now that I paused to think it over, I wasn't exactly sure how I would get her back. I definitely didn't have the money to just buy her, that thought alone was enough to knot my stomach. I could fight to get her, it would be difficult and if I'm by myself I know I won't win. If the monster trio from my crew were here I think it would be a different story.
The doors opened and in walked a few familiar figures. Standing up away from the wall, I blended into their little crowd and stood by the chairs with them.
"Nami-san, could we buy her as well?" Sanji asked loudly, looking at the female that was being auctioned.
"Sanji," I whispered, making my crew jump as they just noticed me. "Be quieter. We don't want to attract anymore attention."
They blinked at me, "Kat-"
"Shh!" I hissed, making them frown as I looked towards Kid. He hadn't noticed us yet. "Don't say my name. There's a few enemies here, and I'd rather not cause attention to us until we get Camie back."
"Is that why you're wearing that super ugly hat?" Franky frowned, tapping my head. "I didn't realize it was you since your hair is shoved in it."
"Yes." I muttered.
"How did you get all of your hair in there?" Nami asked, looking at me in wonder. "It's so long." Then she frowned, "How did you make it here before us? You're as bad as Zoro."
I glanced around as the prices bid went higher and higher. A sneer filled my face, this was one of the reasons he didn't want me coming here. I can't say I blame him either.
"This place is disgusting." I muttered, my crew nodding in silent agreement. "We should burn it down when we're done."
"Ka-" Nami caught herself, quickly lowering her voice. "What about drawing attention?"
I glanced at her. "I said until we get Camie. After she's safe I don't care. This place dosen't need to stand." I glanced towards the front row. "Maybe a few Celestial Dragons will get caught in it too."
"Now you should quiet down." Hachi hissed, "You don't know the danger-"
"I do." I interrupted quietly. "I know more than I want to." I stopped as I saw the man on stage collapse and was covered up by the employees.
"What just happened?" Pappagg asked, looking around me towards the stage as he squinted his eyes.
"He bit off his tongue." Chopper answered quietly, looking at the man sadly.
"Rather than living a wretched life as a slave, he chose to die here." Sanji said, a sadness lingering in his voice. "Maybe he made the right choice."
I stared at the stage, the curtains covering up the people as they cleared it up. "There's no maybe." I spoke lowly, only allowing my crew to hear me. "I'd do the same thing."
Nami's head snapped towards me, her eyes looking at me in sadness at the thought.
"I'd rather die than lose my freedom." I answered, watching as the curtains reopened. My attention was brought back when I saw the large bowl shaped object be wheeled across the stage. "That must be her." My crew looked away from me as they looked back at the stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" The Auctioneer sand into the mike. "The item I am about to present to you will blow away all your troubles! Our super special item!"
I tensed, now knowing who it was for certain. He pulled off the sheet, revealing a large fish bowl. Containing Camie.
"Direct from Fishman Isand!" He shouted,"It's the Mermaid Camie!"
"All right! Time to take her back!" Nami exclaimed.
My hand rested on my belt containing my weapons. In the chance that we didn't have enough money, I wanted to be ready to fight. Camie won't be a slave.
"I'll pay 500 Million!" I froze, looking at the suited up man who jumped to his feet. "I'll pay 500 Million Beli!"
A chill ran down my spine. We didn't have that money. I wanted to fight for her, but that was a Celestial Dragon.
I glanced at my crew members as they talked. Then I looked back at the disgusting suited up man. If anyone lays a hand on a Celestial Dragon, an Admerial is sent after them. Basically a death wish. I couldn't do that to my crew.
Then I looked back at Camie, who pounded on the glass shouting at us. Tears welled in her eyes, chains around her wrist. Taking off my bag, I shoved it at the frantic fishman.
"Calm down." I muttered, silencing my crew as they looked at me. "Ah, I'm gonna get Camie. But, I'm gonna do it without hurting the spoiled brat. Hopefully." I looked at Camie. "Let's hope she plays along."
"What?" They demanded as I started walking down the stairs.
"Wait!" Hachi reached for me, his hand grabbing my arm. I didn't stop him as I kept walking, not feeling the wrapping around my arm fall off tangled in his hand. My distraction was coming in soon.
"Katsu, stop!" Chopper cried, then covered his mouth and paled as a few pirates paused at my name.
"Hmm?" An angry voice growled. "Katsu?" Kid knew I was here now.
"Damn it." I could hear Law sigh loudly.
I smirked, and kept walking down the stairs, taking off the hat and tossing it back towards Law. Right then a loud crash was heard. My captain was here.
"Camie!" Luffy shouted, then started running down the stairs. He quickly passed me, which made my eyes widen.
When I took another step forward, I froze at a gun pointed towards me. I blinked as I realized it was the Celestial Dragon who bought Camie.
"You're the marine's property!" He grinned, "They want you dead." He cocked his gun, looking at my arm in disgust. I glanced down to see the bran out open to the world.
I swore my heart stopped as realization struck. If there was any chance of him not knowing me, it was gone. Everyone would know who I was now.
Then, a shot rang out. My body was falling, the pain not registering immediately. Familiar voices ran out. Then a searing, tearing pain entered my body.
He hadn't hit my head full on, but I knew the bullet had hit enough of my skin to daze me.
Blood dripped into my eye, making me shut it as it stung. I felt him before he was in sight. Reaching my hand out, I gripped Luffy's ankle, making my Captain pause.
"Luffy." I muttered, trying to focus on my seething Captain. "Don't attack him. We don't need an Admerial. Besides, it wasn't a straight shot. The idiot missed me a little."
"This bitch is still talking?!" The man growled, sending a hard kick to my already injured head. My neck snapped to the side as everything went blurry and the pain in my skull doubled.
I could barely register the loud angry cry from Luffy and the startled gasp from the crowd. However, I knew what that meant.
"You've screwed us all, Captain." I muttered tiredly.
Footsteps echoed before a shot rang out, followed by more cries of shock.
"You bratty bastard." A male voice growled, "You hurt Mitsu."
"Ne, is that all you're gonna do to him?" Another asked, "Not only did he shoot her, but then he had the nerve to claim she was going to be his slave."
"Who is that?" I murmured, recognizing the voices. However, when I looked up I saw my crew standing over me.
"Katsu, are you okay?" Nami asked, worry etched on her face.
"Why'd you go and punch him?" Zoro frowned at Luffy. "I wanted to slice him myself."
"I wanted to beat some manners into him." Sanji growled, wrapping my branded arm. "How dare that bastard hurt Katsu-chan."
"Oi, Luffy." The male voice from earlier called, making my Captain blink and turn around. "We need to get your friend and get us all out of here."
"Sato?" Luffy questioned, "When'd you get here?"
I froze, truing to look around Chopper as he bandaged me. "Sato?" I whispered.
"Hold still, Katsu." Chopper said, wrapping up my head as Sanji finished my arm.
"How dare a lowly peasant such as you lot lay a finger upon my son!" I didn't look back as I heard the click of another gun.
Sanji, not done with my arm, sprang into action. He jumped over me and ran towards the voice.
I sighed, "Honestly, it would have been better if Luffy didn't punch the guy."
Nami smiled at me as she helped me sit up. "Yeah right, we know you wanted to do it too. Besides, it's not like Luffy will just stand by while his nakama gets hurt."
Chopper smied, "Yeah, and Makoto and Sato attacked that guy too!"
A tingle started in my head at the names. "Makoto. Sato." I tested the names on my lips. Almost feeling like its been too long since I've said them.
A clang sounded in the room, giving me the impression that Sanji had kicked the gun out of the Celestial Dragon's hand.
"Teach your son not to lay hands on a lady." Sanji growled, then added. "Move it, we gotta get to Camie!"
"Ne, Makoto, how long has it been since we attacked a Celestial Dragon?" Those guys again, they sounded closer.
"A few years I think."
Chopper wiped some of the blood out of my eye. "Follow my finger." He said.
"Why?" I asked, but stopped at a look from Nami. When I looked at his finger, I blinked to clear my head. My vision cleared up only a little to see one finger being held up. As I focused on Chopper, I could hear more crew members dropping into the auction house.
"Insolent Brats!" I knew that voice as the father Celestial Dragon. "The women I shall have stuffed, and the men I will put to hard work as slaves with no food!"
Then I heard a familiar scream, followed by a landing sound and a loud groan. If I took a guess, I would say the Celestial Dragon had softened Usopp's landing.
"Usopp! Robin! Brook!" Luffy cheered.
"Alright," Chopper said, looking at me worriedly. "That's all I can do for now. I believe you might have a concussion, so we need to make sure you don't fall asleep."
"I'm fine." I brushed off Chopper's attempt to keep me lying down. Instead, I staggered up, wobbling as a wave of dizziness came upon me as well as a round of nausea.
"What happened to Katsu?" Robin asked, sending guards down to the ground.
"A Celestial Dragon shot her after seeing her arm." Nami explained. "And Luffy attacked him in return."
"Is he still alive?" Robin frowned, looking at the son who laid in a pool of blood.
"Not likely. Makoto shot him." Chopper answered.
I looked towards Law, who was still sitting calmly. An amused smile played on his lips as he looked at the chaos around us. Once again, his large hat sat on his head.
"There's battleships and an Admerial on the way!" Luffy shouted towards Usopp.
"Oh, the marines are already here, Mr. Straw Hat." Law smirked, not seeming as mad at Luffy as he would have been with me if I had done the same thing.
"Who the hell are you and what's with the bear?" Luffy asked.
"Leave Bepo out of that." I sighed, walking towards the stage to Camie.
Then my attention was dragged to the last Celestial Dragon standing. She raised her gun towards Camie, making me react. We were already fucked, why not take down the last Celestial Dragon? Even with the pain, I managed to shoot forward, drawing my dagger. Before she could shoot, I swiped my blade across her gun, slicing it in half.
Her eyes widened as she saw me in her face. Though, I didn't touch her as my crew members shot her down.
I turned around towards the stage, pausing at the new figure standing next to Camie. I blinked, and he looked down towards me then froze.
"Old Man Rayleigh?" I muttered, then pointed at him. "What the hell are you doing here?!"
"Katsu?!" He shouted, a smile on his face. "I haven't seen you in forever! What are you doing here? And why are you covered in blood?"
I didn't answer him as he quickly pieced it together, a frown now pulling at his lips. "I see. So you guys helped her, huh?" My crew paused, looking up at Rayleigh. "Now then."
A grin formed on my face as he sent everyone down with his Haki.
"It's good to see my niece is in good hands." He grinned, "I've been waiting to meet you, Monkey D. Luffy."
