A bloodied hand appeared and suddenly reached out from the computer screen.

Doctor Oh Yeon-Joo, a surgeon and a daughter of a famous webtoon artist, woke up with the sound of her friend's (and hospital colleague) phone ringing.

She groaned as she tried to muffle the sound.

"Suk-Bum." She said sleepily as she moved into a more comfortable position in her bed. "Answer your phone."

Suk-Bum, who is sleeping at the top bunk, just groaned and went back to his sleep.

Yeon-Joo groaned again.

"Suk-Bum." She repeated. "Don't make me stand here and strangle you."

Still, another groan answered her and the phone kept on ringing.

Yeon-Joo let out an annoyed huff as she pushed her pillow harder against her ears to block the sound.

"Suk-Bum! Answer it!" She yelled this time.

"It's not important." Answered a sleepy Suk-Bum as he cuddled his pillow.

As the phone kept on ringing, Yeon-Joo is getting annoyed than ever.

She gripped hard on her bed sheets as she tried to contain herself from exploding.

Then it stopped.

Yeon-Joo let out a sigh of relief, finally she can sleep in peace... That is until the phone start ringing again.

Letting out a frustrated huff, she threw away her covers and stomped over the table where Suk-Bum's phone is currently ringing.

Picking it up, she looked at the caller I.D , ready to curse whoever it is, only to see that it's their professor, Park Min-Joo.

Smirking, she turned to the sleeping Suk-Bum with a bit of mischief glint in her eyes.

"Crazy Dog is calling you." She said casually.

Suk-Bum immediately bolted up from his bed, suddenly fully awake.

He grabbed his phone from her and Yeon-Joo watched as he fearfully answered it.

"Hello?"

Yeon-Joo laughed as she watched him cower at his phone before lying back in her bed.

"And that is what you get for disturbing me." She said, enjoying the look of fear in his face as she turn back to her sleep.

Suk-Bum's face then relaxed.

"Oh, she's here, shall I send her to you?" He asked through his phone then nodded before hanging up.

He let out a sigh of relief before climbing back on his bed.

He turned to Yeon-Joo and smirked.

"Professor Park is not calling for me." He stated. "He's calling for you. He said that he's been calling you for hours already."

And with that, he lied on his bed.

Yeon-Joo's eyes immediately turned wide.

"What?!" She exclaimed, bolting up from her bed.

"He said that he's been calling you for hours." He repeated with his arms crossed in his chest and his eyes closed as he lay. "Yet you still hadn't answered him."

Yeon-Joo then look around for her phone.

"If he is calling, then how come that my phone is not ringing?" She asked as she frantically searched for her phone.

Suk-Bum shrugged, still lying in his bed.

Finally, Yeon-Joo found her phone on the side of her bed then cursed when she saw 10 missed calls from Crazy Dog and cursed once more when she finds out that her phone is silent the whole time.

"I'm dead." She muttered as she call Crazy Dog back in his phone.

As she waited for him to answer, she bit on her nails then chewed her lower lip as she think of different kinds of possibility that might happen once Crazy Dog answers up.

Is he going to shout at her again?

Fail her as a surgeon?

Make her suffer?

Make her life a living hell?

The list goes on.

Finally, Crazy Dog picks up his phone.

"Sir! I'm sorry I didn't pick up. I-"

"Get here in my office, now!" He cuts her off before hanging up.

Her face paled.

He does NOT sound so happy.

Moving into action, she hurriedly puts on her sneakers and grabbed her lab coat before dashing outside.

As she ran, she looked at her reflection in the windows she passed as she tied her hair up in a ponytail while also making herself look presentable at the same time.

Well, training for almost two years has it's perks.

Finally reaching Crazy Dog's office within a minute, she knocked at the door before letting herself in.

"Professor Park." She greeted before bowing.

Park Min-Joo, also known as 'Crazy Dog', looks up at her with his calculating eyes.

Yeon-Joo inwardly groaned as she prepared herself for the trouble she's going to face.

Crazy Dog sighed.

"Do you have any idea how many times I have called you?" He started, his voice dangerously low.

She nervously shifted in her place.

"Sorry sir, I didn't answer your phone calls." She started. "My phone is silent the whole time and-"

"Are you Oh Song-Moo's daughter?" He cut her off before she can finish her sentence

She stared at him.

"What?" She asked him.

"Are you Oh Song-Moo's daughter?" He repeated. "Is THE Oh Song-Moo your father?"

"Yes." She answered while nodding her head slowly. "Oh Song-Moo's my father. Why?"

Crazy Dog's mouth fell wide open and laughed.

Yeon-Joo watched him weirdly as he did so.

"Oh Song-Moo's your father?" He said in disbelief after he stopped laughing and turned back to her. "THE Oh Song-Moo is your father? Then how come you're only.... Yeon-Joo?"

Yeon-Joo didn't know whether to feel angry or offended at his statement.

It's really in the way he delivers it, the way he said her father's name as if he's a god and her name like she's just a sorry excuse for a human being.

She pursed her lip.

She then smiled at him (she doesn't care if it looked forced).

"I'm sorry for being just Oh Yeon-Joo." She apologizes through gritted teeth.

Crazy Dog doesn't seems to notice this.

"Your parents are divorced right?"

Yeon-Joo, feeling a little peeved about him knowing about that, nodded.

"Yes Sir." She nodded.

"Where did you lived after they divorced?" Crazy Dog pressed on.

"I lived with my mother and her sister until I bought myself a house."

"Do you see your father often?"

"We see each other fairly."

"Give me some spoilers." Crazy Dog suddenly said, catching Yeon-Joo off guard.

"What?" She asked him blankly, confused in what he's talking about.

Crazy Dog smiled excitedly before taking out something out of his desk drawer, only for her to see Crazy Dog's own copy of her Father's famous webtoon: W.

"I'm a very huge fan of your father's work." Crazy Dog said as he holds up a volume from one of all the 33 books in his desk. "I'm so into it when I first read it you know? I mean, who wouldn't? A great storyline and a very cool main character, everyone's bound to love these series."

Yeon-Joo has this hilarious look on her face as if she's contemplating between mocking laughter or angry ranting.

She just agreed.

"Yeah." She said, nodding her head and discarding the fact that she just got called up there by Crazy Dog only to deal with this obsession of his. "Who wouldn't love W? With a very handsome and cool lead character like Kang Chul? Everyone's bound to love him and his story. Not to mention he's got all the traits everyone wants, that handsome face, muscular body, smart brain, the charms.... Only an idiot wouldn't fall for him."

Crazy Dog nodded with a smile on his face before standing up and raising his hand.

She thought that he's going to hit her, causing her to stand in a very defensive stance, only to see him looking at her weirdly and saying that he's only asking for a high-five....

Letting out an embarrassed laugh, she gave him his high-five before sitting down when he asks her to take a sit.

"So." He started as she turned to look at him once she's fully seated.

"The series are due to end this week." He continued. "You think you can give me some spoilers?"

She raised an eyebrow at him.

"Give you some spoilers?" She repeated.

Crazy Dog nodded enthusiastically.

"Yes." He said, still nodding. "Tell me who the killer is. I know the final series is coming up but I want to be the first one to know who it is. I can't handle the suspense any much longer, it's killing me!"

'Good.' Yeon-Joo thought. 'May you rest in peace.'

"So." Continued Crazy Dog, leaning forward. "Can you tell me who it is? The killer?"

Yeon-Joo stared at Crazy Dog's eager face as he wait for her to answer his question, only to watch his face dropped into disappointment when she said she doesn't know who it is.

"What?" Crazy Dog spluttered in disbelief after he heard her answer. "Bu-but! You're his daughter!"

"Yes." She answered calmly, nodding her head. "I am my father's daughter, but that doesn't mean I know who the killer is."

"Then ask him." Crazy Dog urged her as he desperately wants to know who the killer is before anyone else.

"I'm sorry." Yeon-Joo apologized. "But my father never divulges any story information to anyone, not even me."

Crazy Dog sighed in defeat as he buried his face on his desk, only to lift it back again with a different sight of determination.

He smiled widely at her as he moved his rubbed his chin and pretends to be deep in thought.

"Hmmm... What if you go and ask your father who the killer is-"

Yeon-Joo sighed.

"I just told you, he wouldn't tell me anything-"

"-in exchange of letting you cut and sew back the next open-chest surgery." He finished then watched her as she froze in her seat.

Yeon-Joo's mouth felt dry as she gaped at him.

Crazy Dog smirked as he continued to persuade her.

"That might earn you points."

Yeon-Joo finally found her voice to speak.

She blinks at him as if she's not believing what he's saying.

"You're serious?" She asked uncertainly, her voice tight and face still in shock.

She has never done that before.

Crazy Dog nodded, grinning from ear-to-ear, knowing that he had succeeded.

"Yes." He replied, still nodding and is now smiling innocently at her as he tilted his head to the side. "If you tell me who the killer is."

Immediately springing into action, Yeon-Joo stood up and bowed at him.

"I'll go ask him." She said before bowing once again and leaving his office.

Crazy Dog laughs and shook his head as he watched her leave.

Nothing can persuade that girl even more...

Making a mad-dash out of the hospital and discarding her coat (she said she's going to pick it up later anyway), Yeon-Joo climbed in her car before starting the engine and taking off to her Father's studio.

While driving, Yeon-Joo couldn't help but feel excited about Crazy Dog's offer of letting her do something for the first time causing her to drive a little fast (but still below the speed limit) and the high points she's going to get from it.

Once she arrived, she threw the doors open and practically flew inside, only to be greeted by an unpleasant sight of her Father's secretaries (students) panicking.

Soo Bong, one of her Father's assistants, looked up at her and almost cried in joy.

"Yeon-Joo!" He cried, standing up to greet her.

"Soo Bong." She nodded at him then looked around the messy office. "Where's dad?"

Soo Bong looked troubled when she asked this.

"Well." He started. "Actually, I was about to call you and ask you about that, Do you know where Mr. Oh is?"

Yeon-Joo gave him a blank stare.

"If I know where Dad is, surely I won't be asking you this question." She said and watched as Soo Bong groaned.

He looked pretty agitated.

"What?" She asked, confused on why he's acting like that.

Soo Bong sighed.

"Mr. Oh's missing." He answered finally.

Yeon-Joo stared at him for a moment before laughing out loud while Soo Bong looked at her as if she had grown another head (though his face looks serious).

She saw this and immediately stopped.

"Wait." She stopped, looking at him. "You're serious?"

Soo Bong's eye twitched.

"Do I look like I'm joking?" He snapped, pretty much annoyed the she didn't believed him. "Mr. Oh's been missing since last night! We've been looking for him everywhere but we couldn't find him. And that's not all, us who are left here are facing a deadline and none of us even know what we're gong to do! Only Mr. Oh knows but since he's not here!-"

Soo Bong then let out a loud frustrated scream and grabbed his hair, only to stop when he saw her staring at him.

His cheeks reddened.

"Sorry." He murmured as he avoided her gaze and awkwardly fixed his oversized shirt.

She just waves him off.

"Maybe he just went out drinking last night as usual." She said casually as if she never heard him rant. "You know how he is."

"Actually, no." He said. "He never did left his room, all of us are here working in the main room when he disappeared. Know one has even heard from him, we asked his friends but they said that they didn't saw him. Heck, we even went to his usual bars but they said they didn't saw him either."

"Then maybe he just went outside to get some fresh air." She shrugged before walking towards her Father's office with Soo Bong trailing after her.

"Well if he did, surely we'll see him go out but we didn't."

"Maybe all of you are just too occupied to notice." She answered lamely as she entered the room.

Soo Bong fiercely shook his head.

"No." He argued. "Mr. Oh never left this room. I went here around 9 to ask him if he want some coffee and he said that he's going to take it around 10, but when I came back with it, he's nowhere to be found. I even asked Yoon-Hee and Sun-Mi if they saw Mr. Oh leave but they say they didn't."

Soo Bong then sighed as he watched Yeon-Joo wandered around the messy room.

"Mr. Oh's been acting strange though." He added. "He's been doing some strange things lately."

Yeon-Joo stopped then turn around to looked at him.

"Strange?" She repeated. "What kind of strange?"

Soo Bong then lead her to her Father's computer where all of his drawings are kept and saved.

"Promise me you won't tell anyone that I told you about this, specially Mr. Oh." He said seriously.

Yeon-Joo, wondering what it is, just nodded.

Soo Bong then turned on the computer screen.

Yeon-Joo's eyes widen.

"Is that?"

"Kang Chul? Yes."

On the screen is a picture of a bleeding and dying Kang Chul.

"Dad is going to kill him? He's the main character isn't he?"

"Yes I know, it doesn't make sense either. He's the main character, why would Mr. Oh kill him?"

Soo Bong then sighed.

"We protested against it when we found out of course, Yoon-Hee even cried but Mr. Oh said that it's final and there's no changing it."

Yeon-Joo just stared at the computer screen.

"Do you really think his dead?" She asked.

Soo Bong laughs at her.

"You're a doctor, surely you can tell that he's going to die because of all the blood." He says.

Soo Bong then starts to rant about how the team has never once argued with her father over a story point until this happened.

"Mr. Oh seems to be so happy about killing him you know. He is smiling when he drew this last night before he disappeared." He pointed out.

Yeon-Joo quirked an eyebrow.

Why would her father be happy about killing his own lead character?

As Soo Bong continued his ranting, Yeon-Joo makes a move and scrolled down to the next picture on her dad's computer which shows a hooded figure in black and holding a bloody knife in the background as Kang Chul bleeds to death.

"Who is the killer?" She asked, remembering Crazy Dog.

Soo Bong just stared at her, dumbfounded.

"I'd just told you." He said. "I didn't know who the killer is! Only Mr. Oh knows since he is the creator."

Oh Yeon-Joo sighed in defeat as she stares at the drawing.

So what now?

Crazy Dog will surely have a fit once he found out that the lead character of his favourite webtoon: will die.

And it doesn't even include the fact that Kang Chul never found out who the killer is.

Yeon-Joo can only imagine what will happen once Crazy Dog finds out.

'Oh please, spare me.' She thought as she continued to stare at the drawing.

"I'm dead!" She finally blurts out as she leans against a table and burying her head in her arms.

Soo Bong gave her a sympathetic look.

"Sorry, Yeon-Joo." He said as he pats her on the back. "I understand, I mean, Kang Chul is what every girl dreams about, and knowing that he will die... Well, I think you'll survive the heartbreak."

Oh, how wrong Soo Bong was.

Yeon-Joo lifts her head and gaped at him.

He's not serious is he?

Well darn, his face looks serious... Sincere even.

Yeon-Joo lets out a frustrated shout, making him jump.

"What?" He asked frantically.

She glared at him.

"Are you seriously thinking that I'm acting like this because Kang Chul is going to die!?" She shouts at him.

Soo Bong's eyes widen as she shouts at him.

Unsurely, he nodded his head.

"Well, em, yes! I mean, who is not going to be heartbroken abou-"

"No!"

Soo Bong looks taken back as he watches Yeon-Joo paced back and forth.

"I'm not acting like this because of the injustice death of Kang Chul and of him not giving justice to the death of his family! I'm acting like this because of fear of my stupid professor who is even more crazy than a dog will become even more crazy once he found out about this!" Yeon-Joo shouted as she continued to pace and pull her hair.

"What am I going to do? It's all Dad's fault! If he hadn't created this stupid webtoon, none of this would've happen and my career will not be in danger!"

Soo Bong, who is still silently watching her rant, chose that time to open his mouth.

"Why would your career be in danger?" He asked.

He immediately know that he made a very bad mistake when she turned and glare at him.

"Why would my career be in danger?" She repeated then let's out a mock laugh. " Why would my career be in danger? Well, tell you what, my professor just so happens to be a very big fan of W and hadn't been nice to me until today when he found out that I am my father's daughter, and had asked me to come here to ask dad who the killer is in exchange of letting me take over the next surgery but thanks to dad, it's never going to happen!"

Yeon-Joo then let out another frustrated scream then stopped when she saw Soo Bong's expression and instantly felt guilty.

"Sorry." She apologized.

Soo Bong nodded in understanding.

"It's alright." He said as she slumped on her Father's office chair and massaged her temples to get rid of the forming headache in her head.

They were silent for a moment until Soo Bong let out a gasp.

"Yeon-Joo." He whimpered.

She hummed in response.

Soo Bong looked at her with wide eyes.

"What if Mr. Oh got kidnapped?" He asked fearfully. "We must report this to the cops!"

"It hasn't been 24 hours yet." She replied, still rubbing her temples with her eyes close. "Dad can't be considered missing and even if he got kidnapped, surely there'll be traces of strangulation in here and you would've heard something. And one more thing, how can the kidnappers kidnapped my dad if there are no entrance in here except in the main room? You said it yourself, if someone went in or outside, you're bound to notice."

Soo Bong let out a sigh of relief and nodded, seeing Yeon-Joo's point as he looked around the room.

Everything inside there is in order and no one can even go inside the windows since there are bars in it.

"Yes, you're right." He agreed. "How could I be so stupid? I mean, it's so obvious!"

Yeon-Joo just nodded.

Soo Bong then turned back to her.

"Why did you turn down the offer to become a detective again?" He asked. "Even though you dropped off that course to become a surgeon, they still gave you an offer to work for them, right?"

Yeon-Joo stopped as she let Soo Bong's words sink in.

"It's because mom doesn't want me to." She answered, now staring blankly at a pile of files in front of her.

Soo Bong lets out an 'oh' before nodding again.

"Yes, of course, now I remember." He said. "You were around 20 that time right? Or is it 21? 22?"

When Yeon-Joo didn't answered him and just continued to stare at the files, Soo Bong took that as his cue to leave.

He bowed at her before he left, closing the door as he did so, leaving her alone inside the office.

Yeon-Joo sighed when he left and thinks about it.

Yes, she did studied criminology for two years after graduating highschool with high marks and honors and then got accepted to a police academy in US as a recruit, only to drop it off to become a surgeon for her mother's wishes.

Her mother didn't support her in becoming a police, and most definitely not as a detective, saying that she's the only child and doesn't want her life to be in danger.

Of course, since she doesn't want her mother to be heartbroken once more, she dropped off the course but still got an offer to become a detective when she gets back home in Korea and still having offers until now and of course, she turn every single offer down, keeping her promise to her mother.

But now that she thinks about it, she can't help but have regrets.

What if she accepted it?

Will she be more successful as a Detective than a surgeon?

Then, flashes of her mother worrying about her every time she's out chasing criminals flashed through her mind.

She shook her head and let out a chuckle.

No, she must keep her promise.

Standing up from her father's office chair, she turn her back on the computer then looked around her Father's desk where she looked through his notes, only stopping when she saw a small copy of a famous painting called "Saturn devouring his son."

She interestingly looked down at the picture then turn it around, unaware of the flickering screen of the computer behind her.

At the back of the picture, she saw a writing written in her Father's neat handwriting.

"Rather than be devoured, I will devour." She reads out loud, not even noticing a bloodied hand reaching out from the flickering computer screen.

Putting the picture down, Yeon-Joo frozed when she felt something (or someone) grabbing her from behind.

Slowly turning around, she draws a sharp breath when she saw a bloody hand, and what's worst from it is the fact that it's sticking out from the computer screen.

Letting out a cry, Yeon-Joo gets pulled in, leaving the room unattended.
***

She landed in a heap, knocking one knee hard on a concrete.

She was on a rooftop somewhere,
surrounded by city lights.

Her first thought when she painfully got to her feet was that it
had to be a swank building.

There were potted trees up here.

Then she saw the body.

The hand, outstretched, like the one that had reached out to seized her.

Her eyes widen and ran to the man's side to check if he's still alive.

He is, and it appears that the man is stabbed and is now choking in his own blood.

The man's eyes were now slowly starting to close meaning that he's getting closer to death, but Yeon-Joo won't let that happen, not in her watch.

Seeing that she doesn't have any medical supplies with her, she stood up.

"Hold on!" She said before running to a door that leads to the stairs.

Using her jumping skills that she learned from the academy, she grabs on a railing before jumping down to the other side, effectively giving her more time in the chance of saving the man at the rooftop.

When she landed down on a level, she turned to see a door and burst right in, startling the busy and stunned cooks who are now looking at her.

"Help! There's a man up there and he's dying!" She said quickly. "Hurry! I need the manager and please, someone call 911!"

Quickly looking around, she grabs a towel and a pair of scissors before sprinting outside and going back up.

Going back to the rooftop, she went to the man's side.

She cut open his shirt then puts pressure in his stabbed wounds to stop the bleeding.

Turns out, a waiter had followed her up there and let's out a gasp and almost tripped in his own feet when he saw the man.

"W-wh-what happened?" He stuttered as he watched her.

"Where are we?" She asked, surprisingly calm as she work instead of answering him.

The waiter looks at her, confused.

"We're here in a hotel." He answered, wondering why she's asking this. Didn't she know where she is?

Yeon-Joo nodded slowly.

She's in a hotel... No big deal, right?

Though, as calmly as she is on the outside, she's practically freaking out on the inside, and asking herself how in the world did she got there?

"Have they already called an ambulance?"

"Yes, they said they're on their way here."

The man then finally comes around and starts gasping for air.

Yeon-Joo looks back at him and saw that his chest is bruised, most likely from his lungs filling with blood.

"He's drowning!" She said. "I need to make a puncture to make him breathe!"

The still stunned waiter snapped out of his trance.

"Do it then!" He said frantically.

Yeon-Joo turned and searched around the rooftop in the hope of finding something that she can use, only for her eyes to land on a pen in the waiter's pocket.

Immediately grabbing it, she took off the pen's cap before positioning it in the man's chest.

As the man starts struggling for more air, the waiter becomes more frantic and told her to hurry up.

She talks to herself out of doing something crazy, but when she saw that the man is struggling, she snapped out of it.

Still having another round of self-doubt, she finally works up the nerve and cries out.

"I don't know what I'm doing, they do this all the time in dramas, they just.... Do it!"

She then raised her hand before stabbing him right in the chest.

The man's eyes darted in impact.

The man's eyes landed on Yeon-Joo's brown orbs and the two stared at each other until he passed out again.

Though, Yeon-Joo still had her eyes staring at the man's face curiously as she tilted her head at the side with her hand still around the pen, noticing that the man looked somewhat familiar.

The waiter at the side leaned forward then lets out a gasp of surprise.

"President Kang!" He cried out.

Yeon-Joo knitted her eyebrows.

Why does the man's face and name seems familiar?

Better yet, HOW DID SHE GOT THERE IN A ROOFTOP OF A HOTEL?

She's pretty sure that she's in her Father's office earlier.

As she continued to stare at the man, the rooftop slowly flooded with the hotel employees and paramedics.

She then let go of the pen before standing and letting the paramedics take over.

Silently sitting at the side, she laughs to herself as she thinks of how Crazy Dog should have seen this.

"Maybe I'm a gifted doctor after all." She smiled to herself.

"Excuse me." A voice interrupts her.

She looked up to see a man looking down at her.

"Yes?" She replied, looking back at him.

"Are you the one who helped the man over there?" The man asked.

She nodded.

The man then smiled and thanked her for not letting a murder happen in his hotel and saying that he's the manager.

She smiled back at him.

"It's no problem." She said. "I'm just doing my job as a doctor."

She then handed him her card saying that if they ever needed her, just give her a call.

The manager took it then bowed at her, saying another thanks.

However, the two were interrupted when the waiter from earlier came towards them.

"Sir." He started. "The stabbed man is President Kang!"

The manger flails at that before running over the paramedics.

Yeon-Joo, ever the curious one, walks over then peers at the man who is now getting carried by the paramedics, wondering who's this President Kang they're all talking about.

Peering over, she saw that the man's eyes were open and is looking directly at her.

Yeon-Joo watched as he got carried away to the hospital for proper medication.

Now she's fully convinced that the man looked really familiar.

As everyone left the rooftop, Yeon-Joo stayed there by herself, thinking where she saw the man and why he's looking so awfully familiar.

"They call him President Kang." She said as she wonders where she have seen and heard him before. "Kang, Kang, why does that sounds so familiar?"

Few moments later, she turns around and is shocked to see a glowing white writing below and spelling out the words: To be continued.

Her jaw drops and her eyes widened when she finally puts the two together and figures out who is the man she just save.

"Th-that's Kang Chul!" She said out loud, shocked as she turned back, only to find herself back in her Father's office.

She looked around the office, completely bewildered, and wondering what on earth just happened.

Earlier, she's pretty sure the she's just sitting in her Father's office and the next thing she know is that she's saving a man from a rooftop of a hotel then she's back in her Father's room.

Exactly what happened?

She placed a hand on her head as she gazed around the room until her eyes landed at the computer screen where the drawing of a dying Kang Chul is.

Slowly bending forward it, Yeon-Joo reaches out a shaky hand before tapping the screen.

She lets out a breath of relief when she felt the screen's cold and hard glass against her fingers.

Maybe she's just hallucinating.

Better yet, maybe she just fell asleep and dreamt about it.... That makes more sense.

"Yes." She nodded, convincing herself. "It's all just a dream."

She paused and lets out a laugh.

Maybe it's all because of the stress she had when she thinks about Crazy Dog founding out about his favorite lead character dying, and dreamed about saving him in order to save her from Crazy Dog's wrath.

Though, she can't deny the feeling that it's all real.

Shaking her head at that, she slumped back to her Father's chair and sighed.

"You have definitely gone mad, Yeon-Joo." She said to herself before laughing once more.

Soo Bong then entered the room, looking extremely happy and excited about something as he turned to her, only stopping when he saw her laughing by herself.

"Yeon-Joo." He said, causing her to stop all of a sudden and look up at him.

"Yes?" She asked, acting as if she's not laughing like a lunatic earlier.

Soo Bong coughs awkwardly at her then opened his mouth to tell her the good news when he noticed her bloody hands.

"Yeon-Joo." He said again, staring terrified at her hands. "Did you cut yourself?"

Yeon-Joo furrowed her eyebrows at him.

"No." She answered.

"Th-then how come you have blood in your hands?" He shakily pointed out as he gestured her hands.

Yeon-Joo laughs at him as if he's telling a joke.

"Soo Bong." She snorted. "Why would I have blood in my hands? I didn't even-"

She was then cut off by herself when she looked down and saw that her hands are indeed covered with dried blood (she didn't even noticed it earlier while she's looking around and poking the screen).

The smile in her face vanishes, replaced by a look of fear and surprise.

Surprise because there's blood in her hands and fear because of fear of what she had earlier thought to be a dream, was real.

Remembering the fact that Soo Bong is still standing there and gaping at her, snapped her out of her trance.

She looks back at his terrified face then smiles.

"Oh, this?" She ask as she lifts up her right hand.

Soo Bong nodded stiffly, still not taking his eyes off the blood.

"I don't where I got it actually." She lied smoothly as she turn back to her hands, making herself look calm.

"Maybe I got it from a spilled ink earlier while I was looking around dad's files. I didn't noticed it until now, you know how messy his office can be."

The fact that Soo Bong lets out a sigh of relief and believed her lie gave her a bit sense of relief and accomplishment, even though she knows that she shouldn't be proud of it. But hey, at least she still got her charms.

"Good, I thought you hurt yourself." Soo Bong said, letting out a breath of relief before smiling back to her once again. "Anyway, turns out you're right! Mr. Oh is not missing."

Yeon-Joo abruptly stands up from her seat.

"You found dad?" She asked eagerly.

Soo Bong shook his head and Yeon-Joo's face fell in disappointment.

"No." He answered, but still smiling. "But we know he's okay because he had finished the latest issue! We still hadn't contact him but still! he had made it to the deadline and he even saves Kang Chul! Looks like he had changed his mind of killing and ending the story after all."

He then grabs Yeon-Joo by the arm and ushers her outside the office to the main room where he made her read the latest episode called 'Mysterious Attacker'.

"The story is going to be extended!" Said Yoon-Hee (one of her Dad's students) happily as she also read the latest update in her own computer.

Yeon-Joo didn't say anything as she scrolls down through the episode, only for her jaw to drop as she saw the appearance of the woman in the rooftop scene.

There it is in Webtoon, frame for frame, matching moment by moment what happened with her when she suddenly founds herself in the roof.

"Looks like Mr. Oh made another character." Said Soo Bong as he adjusted his glasses as he looked at his own computer. "And it also looks like he named her after you, Yeon-Joo."

Yeon-Joo didn't say anything as she continued to stare and read the episode until she reached the final part.

She gaped at the last image and felt another wave of headache forming in her head.

She rubbed her temples and painfully pinched herself awake, thinking (and hoping) that she just fell asleep and is dreaming again... Except that she isn't and is still sitting there in front of the computer.

She let's out a shaky breath.

"That's me." She muttered.

There's no denying it, what happened earlier is not a dream... It's real.
