Tamia
By the time we reached home Serai was sitting as stiff as a board with her eyes closed. For a while I thought she was sleeping, but every so often hitting a speed bump her calm and peaceful expression would change to a hurt, painful one.
Quickly hopping out of the car, I rushed to her side taking my time by gently helping her out the car. I wrapped my arm around her waist to hopefully help shift her weight off her side. "You're gonna be okay Serai, I got you."
"It really hurts Tamia."
"I know just hold on to me." Quickly unlocking the front door I continue to leading her inside.
"KEVIN... KEVIN! HELP!" Within seconds Kevin came running downstairs. "WHAT HAPPENED?!" he yelled, lifting Serai up bridal style. She was so quiet my heart started hammering against my chest.
"TAMIA!!" snapping out of it I snapped my head towards him.
"When I got there she and Johanna were..." was all I got to say before he screamed, "This is the second time that bitch fucked with mine, I ain't letting it slide this time Tamia. I swear on everything I love I'm a get her."
"I think Tamia might have beaten you to the punch Kev," we both looking down at Serai to see her give us a weak smile. "What you mean, what does she mean Tamia?"
Uncomfortably looking at my fingers I mumbled, "I kind of knocked her bloody unconscious, literally on the sidewalk of the bus stop."
"And I've never been more proud, in pain but proud never the less," Serai quietly said, still wrapped up in Kevin arms.
"Kevin put me down; I'm hurt on my side I'm not dying - sometime today please." Slowly but surely he gently put her down; now standing she rest her hand on her side, flinching a little.
"We gotta get you checked out," Kevin said, voicing my thoughts exactly. "No, no doctors I'll be fine."
"You got to be shitting me, Serai I'm not about to argue with y--"
"Good."
Growling he says," I'll call Maddie and see if she can come take a look at you for all we know it could be broken. In the meantime take some aspirin and relax okay, please."
Sighing she nods.
"Um who's Maddie?"
"Maddie is a med student I met awhile back when we first got here, she's helped me out every now and then, hopefully she'll be able to tell us how bad Serai here is hurt."
"Well until she gets here come on Serai let's get you upstairs."
Heading upstairs with my arm around Serai's waist helping her as much as I can to keep the pressure off her side, Kevin stops us.
"Wait, just outta curiosity where were Eric and Kaden when all of this took place?"
"Basketball tryouts."
Nodding he said, "A'ight I'll call Maddie."

About a bath and two Advil later Serai was in her room resting as we waited on this "Maddie" character; well I waited, Kevin just kept pacing when out of nowhere he stopped and began questioning me yet again!
"For the fifth time I don't know who the other chick was okay!" I yelled.
As he was about to ask another question the front door opened.
"Thank God!" I mumbled under my breath. I stood up from the couch as Eric and Kaden stepped in our view. "Where is she?!" Kaden asked as soon he saw us.
"Upstairs," Kevin answered. Kaden was half-way up the staircase when Kevin yelled, "Ayo when you done, you and I need to have a talk." Not bothering to answer he ran the rest of the way to her room.
"So can somebody tell me what happened?" Looking over to Eric I decided to answer.
"She got into a fight with Johanna and another girl at the bus stop, by the time I got there I had to drag Johanna off her, but not before she kicked Serai in her ribs. So she's basically in pain but refuses to go to the hospital, which honestly I'm still confused to why she doesn't want to."
"I think I know," Eric says. Looking at him for a minute before I snapped my fingers in his face, "Well... care to share?"
"Serai's always hated hospitals, but after our mom died she didn't believe in the good that some hospitals do, she was mom's baby, her mini-me so when she died a lot of Serai's beliefs changed and sadly hospitals were on the list in her mind, once you go in you don't come out, weird I know."
"Yeah I just hope this Maddie person can help her or I'm dragging her there by her hair."
Laughing Eric says, "Well I'll even help you do it but um, question, "You said there was another girl?"
"Yeah, so?"
"Describe her."
"She was around 5ft3 give or take an inch or two, curly blonde hair, fair complexion looked a little high maintenance but-"
"Say no more, it was Ashley."
"You sure?"
"Positive."
"Who is she?"
"She's the pain in my ass bitch that don't know when to give up. She and Serai almost got into it this morning but I stepped in."
Turning to Kevin I said, "You thinking what I'm thinking."
"Yep I think we found the other girl."
Kaden
As I ran upstairs to her room all I kept thinking was, "Please Lord please let her be okay..."
After Eric got a call during practice from his brother Kevin letting us know Serai got into some type of fight with two girls and was now hurt, I panicked and without thinking I took off with Eric behind me with our belongings. I swear I must have broken every rule to driving there was. I was so worried that I didn't even park when I got here I just hopped out of the car and left Eric sitting there. I was so grateful for the front door being open, but with all honesty I wanted to run straight to her and I would have if Kevin and Tamia were sitting in the family room. If it was another day and the love of my life wasn't hurt,-
Yeah I said it; I love her crazy ass...
I would've remembered my manners, but fuck that shit cause today just ain't that day. Pushing open her door, I entered as quietly as I could. Seeing her asleep I walk over to the bed, gently yet quietly I took a seat on the bed looking down at her and watching her sleep. My throat tightened when I brushed a loose curl from her face and she moved into my touch. I couldn't help but smile even though I could see she was in one piece I needed to hear her say it.
"Serai....Serai....baby, wake up."
"Mhmm..."
"Come on baby wake up for me."
"Kaden?"
Smiling down at her I softly answered, "Yeah baby it's me. How you feeling?"
"Ugh sore."
"I bet you are, I'm just glad you're okay. But I have to ask, what were you thinking?!"
"Don't yell at me, I was the one that was jumped okay so don't."
Sighing loudly, I rubbed my hand over my face. "I'm okay Kaden really I am. Don't be mad ... please."
Leaning towards her I kissed her softly then said, "God I love you so much, but you're gonna be the death of me, I almost had heart failure because of you," I finished with a chuckle.
"Who me? No way if anything I keep you younger sugar," she says with a smile.
Taking her face between my hands I lean in once again and I kiss her more deeply than before. Pressing my forehead against hers I inhale her scent, about to go in for another kiss a knock on the door interrupted us.
"Come in," Serai yells as the door opened. Kevin, Tamia, Eric and another girl with a small medical looking bag walked in.
"Serai, Kaden, this is Maddie she's here to take a look at your ribs."
All looking at Maddie she gives us a small smile. "Hi," she says shyly, tilting her oval shaped glasses up to rest better on her nose.
"I should get started, could you all please excuse us?" she asked, looking anywhere but at us.
"Sure let's give them some room," Tamia says
"That includes you Kaden."
"But..." grabbing my hand Serai nods and says, "It's okay. I'm getting hungry anyways, make me a sandwich. Pleaseee? She asked, drawing out the word please to get her way.
"Sure," getting up from the bed we all left the room giving Serai and Maddie some privacy.

After the ordeal with Maddie examining me it turns out I had only bruised my ribs, see I'm fine so Kevin, Eric and Kaden can just relax. However, I will be stuck on bed rest for a while which I was cool with ...
No school suckas!
Plus me plus bed rest equals your worst nightmare wahahahaha!!!
I'm going to make my brothers lives a living hell hehe, starting....tomorrow.
