Hey everyone, hope you enjoy! Don't forget to comment and vote if you like it, nad suggestions would be great :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The inside of the house, as it turns out, is just as creepy as the outside, maybe even more. It's not creepy because it's old and worn out. It's creepy because it is old, and in eerily good shape, as if someone had been living there and taking care of it for years.

The only real part I hate instantly in the house is the temperature. It is freezing despite the cool spring temperature outside. I shiver and pull my sweater a little tighter around my body. I have always liked warm temperatures over cold ones.

"This is so cool right?" One of the Sams whispered in my ear as we walked down the hallway.

I look down at her petite figure, and notice that she continuously pushes her long black bangs out of her face. She wears glasses, but they continue to fall off the tip of her tiny nose. I stiffle a laugh and keep my eyes facing forward.

Everything was lit by candle so it made shadows dance from every possible nook and cranny, but all in all the house was beautiful.

I nodded and she directed my attention to the large glass shandelier hanging from the high ceiling with a point of her tiny finger.

"Here we are." Miss. Sanders said as she stood in the center of the large empty room.

On the walls above her were two large gargoils with large stone wings and wicked sharp teeth. It seemed a little odd seeing them inside instead on the balcony outside, but they worked well in the eary house.

Their eyes, though made of stone, seem to watch my every move, and shivers travel up my back as I try to look away. It seems that everything in the house is watching me. But I'm just being silly right? Everyone gets those feelings when they are inside spooky old places.

"So what are we going to do here?" Someone from the back asks. "This place looks like another boring old house to me!"

For a moment nobody says anything. All eyes were on Miss. Sanders who looks like a statue carved from stone. Every muscle in her body is tense, and she stands still as a rock with her pale blue eyes staring directly ahead.

But her face is oddly calm, and everyone notices that something is wrong. Her hair doesn't move and her chest doesn't rise like it should.

"Miss Sanders?" A small voice asks.

Suddenly the older women falls over, stiff as a rock, her eyes still staring at the ceiling. There is a split second where the silence settles in and everyone notices what happened.

And then there is panic.

The teacher rushes forward, her grey hair spilling from her pony tail, and she drops to her knees beside the woman. She is shouting directions at the students to call for an ambulance, but no one is listening. People are screaming and running in circles, trying to make sense of the situation.

I, am standing still as a statue, trying myself to understand what is going on. My brain is running like a super computer inputting data on the situation and spitting it back out just as fast.

"Everyone calm down!" The teacher shouts, bringing the students to a standstill.

"Is she dead?" Rebecca asks, throwing a disgusted look at the body lying on the ground.

"I don't know, I can't feel a pulse and she's as cold as ice. Someone call an ambulance right now! Two of you go wait outside for it to arrive!" She orders as she begins pressing on the woman’s chest, trying to get oxygen to her lungs.

I can't be the only one who notices that her chest doesn't even move under the teacher’s muscles. She is made of stone, dead as a rock, and there is no way anyone is going to save her, that much is for sure I think.

"There isn't any service in here!" Someone cries.

"I don't have service either!"

"Me neither!" People shout.

I stand still and look down at my phone uselessly. No bars. Something is really wrong and I can feel it. Miss. Sanders is still staring at the ceiling with vacant eyes. And there is something about the way she lies that makes it look like she was never alive to begin with.

"Kat..." Sam one says tugging on my sleeve.

I look down at her and I can see she is afraid. Her big brown doe eyes are watering but she is trying to look brave.

"What do we do?" I ask quietly.

But before she can answer to girls come running back into the room. I recognize them as the ones the teacher had sent out to wait for the ambulance a minute or so ago. Their faces are pale, and fear grabs hold of me again.

"Mrs. Caister there isn't a door to go out!" One of them cries.

"What do you mean there is no door?" She demands.

"We went back the way we came but there is just a huge wall there, no door! We tried to feel for a door handle but there isn't one! What do we do!?" The girl asks frantically flailing her arms around.

"Everyone just stay calm. We will go back together and look for the door. You must have just taken a wrong turn, that's all. Everyone else look around and try to get some cell signal to call for an ambulance."

And then she stood and walked from the room leaving everyone to panic.

Thankfully everyone already got everything out of their system. Most of the people were sitting down with their heads between their knees while a few others were wandering around looking for a signal. My new group of friends were all huddled together and Sam two is rustling around in her bag.

"What do we do now guys?" I ask quietly.

"We stay calm and help everyone else stay calm." Sam two says.

"Guys..." Aidan says quietly.

"What do you have in the bag?" Sam one asks as she comes over to us.

"Guys..." Aidan says a little more loudly.

"A flashlight, some granola bars, a pocket knife that belongs to Adam- that's Sam’s twin brother by the way." She winks, "There is some rope in there for who knows what reason and a pack of-"

"Guys!" Aidan screams.

Our heads snap in his direction and we follow his gaze just in time to see the two gargoyles rip from the wall in unison. The stone slabs they were standing on tumble to the ground in an ear shattering crash that leaves a large dent in the old wood flooring.

Their stone wings flare out from behind them and they let loose an inhuman scream as they descend on the students. I watch in horror as the stone giants move gracefully in the air despite the fact that they must way at least a ton.

Students scream and scramble for doors and hallways trying to get away from the beasts. Someone grabs me from behind and pulls me beneath a large coffee table along with Sam one and two and Quinn.

John and Felicia leave us behind and both head for different hallways trying to keep away from the howling monsters that soar through the air grabbing at students with large talon like claws that are too stupid to move out of the way.

I look to my friends trying to figure out what's going through their heads. Aidan is tense in against the wall with his eyes closed, and Sam One and Two are crouched in front of him looking ready to spring into action at any second.

Sam Two has the pocket knife in her hand, but I don't know how well it will do against the stone creatures.

Quinn has her phone out and she is leaning out slightly trying to get a picture of the action. After a few seconds the screaming and the howling die down and silence roars through me ears.

"Is it safe to come out yet?" I ask nudging Quinn slightly with my foot.

"Yeah," She says quietly, "They flew off down the hallway after some students."

We scramble out from under the table and look at the carnage. Back packs and cellphones are lying all over the floor and there are massive claw marks raked down the walls and across the floor. Thankfully there isn't any blood, but that didn't mean the monsters hadn't gotten any of the students.

"How long do you think we have until they come back?" Sam One asks.

"I don't know. Once they corner the students they're after I'm sure they will come back." Sam Two ways. The look on her face is very grave.

"Well we know there isn't a way out of this place that we can find right now. So what do we do?" I ask looking around with the small hope that there will be a door leading out of this mess.

"One thing we can't do is stand around here." Quinn states.

"She's right, those things are going to come back eventually, and we don't want to be here when they do." Sam Two says.

"Which way did they go?" Aidan asks Quinn.

"One went down that hallways," She points to the one that the group of students had come from. Then she turned clockwise and pointed down a long dark corridor. "And the other one chased a few people down there."

"Alright so lets take that hallway." I suggest pointing to the only hallway that the monsters hadn't gone down.

"Sounds like a plan to me." Sam Two said throwing her bag over her shoulder.

"Wait guys, what if it is just another dead end? Then we will have to come back through here where the beasts will be." Aidan says.

I can tell just how panicked he is.

"We don't have any other choice. It's either wait here for them to come back and eat us, or go on ahead and hope we find a way out." Sam Two says.

I am starting to think she is the leader of this group.

"Fine..." He says after a moment.

"Let's hurry then, but try not to make too much noise." Sam says as she leads us off.

"Hold on a minute students," A cold lifeless voice stops us dead in our tracks, "You can't leave yet. My Master will be here in a moment to see you."

All our head whipped to the side at once to see Miss. Sanders standing up once again, seemingly back from the dead.
