12. Blossoming Romance

The next few days seemed to be calmer, with no interruptions or harassment coming from the girls. They didn't try anything, nor did they gave us disgusted looks. Yojin became calmer too, which in my opinion was Hoseok's doing. Although I never voiced my thoughts to her.

The boys started hanging out with us more often, which in case of Yojin, had a rather positive affect. As much as she tried avoiding them before, she opened up to them and we did enjoy their company more than we thought we would. Yojin had a greater mood, she was smiling and giggling happily most, if not all the time. Hoseok was definitely helping her change her attitude towards this whole ordeal and I was more than grateful for him.

He started walking her home, he complimented her more openly that I thought it was appropriate. He made sure to be always around her, lightly touching her whenever he could, whether it'd be one of his hands around her shoulders, his palm resting across her lower back or a gentle caress on her arm. I didn't miss any of the signs and I was eagerly waiting for their next step. I was more excited than they were.

However, as happy as I was for them, the immediate change in Yojin's behaviour scared me. I was happy that she finally felt less depressed, less miserable, but I felt as if it was a rather quick change from one end to another. I didn't want to ruin her happiness, that was the last thing I wanted, but I couldn't keep my concerns to myself anymore.

We were sitting in the park, right after school, after the boys invited us out. They were laughing around, pushing at each other like the cheeky little children they were deep down. I was sitting with Yojin on the swings, being eaten up by my concern. I couldn't keep it in anymore.

"Yojin?" I called her. She turned to face me with an innocent smile spread across her face. "There is something I wanted to talk to you about."

"Yeah, shoot." Her eyes fixated on me. I wasn't sure how to start without acting as an ungrateful friend.

"You know, I love you. You are my best friend. But I am worried about you." She frowned at me, not knowing where I was heading to. "I'm so glad that we get along with the boys and I am even more happy that you and Hoseok got closer to each other. But... there's just this thing that bothers me." I paused, trying to find the right words. "You were quite under the weather before, you were scared of all the things that were happening around us, while you were certain that the best decision was to avoid being with the boys. And now it all changed. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy for you, for us, for all of this. I am just not sure what changed, really." An angelic smile curved up her lips.

"I am still cautious, I am not completely over it, but talking to Hoseok helped a lot. After the last incident, as we started becoming closer to each other, the way he talked, the way he looked at me, the way he touched me... it just all made sense to me to want to be closer to him. Even if it's only for a short term, I want to be by his side." She tilted her head innocently, heaving a content sigh.

"I'm guessing, we will keep hanging out with them." I raised an eyebrow, while a tiny smile crept up on my face.

"Y/N, they harassed us before we started hanging out with them, even though we had nothing to do with them. At least let's give them a reason now." She smirked, causing me to frown while laughing at her determination. It was certainly a new side that I discovered in her, but I loved it. Hoseok was definitely a good influence on her.

"Can I interrupt?" Hoseok appeared in front of us, with a serious expression across his face. I furrowed my brows curiously, but nodded as a response. "Yojin, can I talk to you?" He turned towards my friend, who gave me a look as if she was waiting for my permission. I just smiled at her, causing her to nod towards Hoseok.

He placed his palm on her back, leading her away to the building that was used for security. I slyly followed behind, wanting to know what was happening. I put my palms on the building, trying to peak over the side to see what was happening. I felt other people's presence around me. I saw Jongkook crouching down under me for a better view, while the others tried to find better positions, making me almost fall over in the process. I felt an arm sneak around my waist, keeping me still, protecting me from the fall. I felt his warm breath on my ear, sending soft shivers down my spine as my heart pounded aggressively against my rib cage. I didn't have to think twice to recognise who he was. His cologne gave him away instantly. I felt the need to turn around in his strong grip, looking up into his dark irises, but I was physically unable without tripping over Jungkook. I tried to shake the thoughts out of my mind, concentrating my attention on Yojin and Hoseok.

They were standing right next to the wall, facing each other. Hoseok took Yojin's hands into his, gently stroking the back with his thumbs, causing both to blush at the touch. He kept focusing on their linked hands, without murmuring even a word. He looked up at Yojin, who's expression showed both adoration towards the boy and confusion, not knowing what was happening. Although from my point of view, it was more than obvious.

Letting go of one of Yojin's hands, Hoseok reached for her cheeks, lightly cupping it, while a warm smile spread across his face. He pulled his thumb across her lips and it involuntarily parted. Knowing Yojin, I knew she was about to jump out of her skin, excitement overwhelming her. We could clearly see that Hoseok was talking, and we tried eagerly eavesdropping, but they were too far for us to understand his words.

Hoseok lifted Yojin's hand up to his lips, hinting a soft kiss on the back of it, his movements full of adoration. He started talking again, making us groan, not being able to hear anything he said. Soon enough we lost interest in his words, as a big smile spread across Yojin's face. Hoseok returned the reaction and leaned forward, cupping his hands around her blushing cheeks, kissing her as lovingly as he could manage.

I wanted to watch it, I wanted to jump up and down in excitement from the happiness I felt for my friends, but I was unable to do so as a hand appeared in my view, completely coving my eyes and the romantic scenario I have been waiting for.

"Yah!" I sighed in frustration. I tried to remove his hands, but he was stronger, not letting me even peak between his fingers.

"You can't watch this." He whispered, making me shiver under his breath. I tried to hide the effects he had on me, although I was quite certain he realised them too. "It contains too much adultery." I was certain that a big smile spread across his face as his voice had that tingling, laughing sound to it.

"As if I have not done it before." I chuckled at his quirky behaviour.

"What?" He turned me around in a swift movement, making me quietly squeak in surprise. "How could you? I thought you were special." I giggled at his award-winning performance, gently hitting his chest.

"You are crazy, Jimin. You really are." I bit my lower lip. I could see his eyes wondering down to my lips and then back to my eyes. I didn't know how to take his behaviour, but I felt happy and excited to be so close to him.

"Erm... not to interrupt, but how long are you going to stay like that?" I heard a voiced we both look up to see Hoseok standing behind us, with his fingers interlinked with Yojin, while the others have already fled. She gave me a sly smirk, before I decided to turn back to Jimin.

He had a surprised expression across his face as he looked down on me, before his lips formed an 'O' as he released my waist. A shy, but rather sheepish smile appeared on his face, that I haven't seen before, making my heartbeat increase, forcing my palms to turn sweaty.

"Maybe we should go." I suggested, as Yojin and Hoseok was already way ahead of us. He nodded along in agreement. It was an awkward trip, back to our flats, as we kept stealing hidden glances from each other, but noone of us said anything. That sly smile was still sitting across his face, every time he looked at me, making me unable to concentrate on even putting my feet after one another.
