*Justin's POV*
She came back again.
The human came back into my woods.
But why?
I saw how petrified she was when she realized that I wasn't human.
I wanted to get to know her, and have a conversation with her, but something had stopped me from speaking to her.
A part of me wanted to let her explore me, and help her figure out what I am.
So that was what I had done.
Though it wasn't easy.
Suppressing my hunger for her blood had been extremely difficult.
It had smelled so sweet and divine, pulling me in for just a taste.
If she stayed near me any longer, I would've pounced onto her.
Was it dangerous to get this close to a human?
What if she told others about me, and they came to see me for themselves?
That wouldn't be good.
If she ever comes back, I have to tell her to keep me a secret.
Because if I don't, my life could be endangered.

*Erin's POV*
"Guys, I swear I saw a monster in those woods!" I shouted.
"Will you give it up already Erin?" Jacqueline asked.
"This joke you're trying to play isn't funny!"
"For the last time, I'm not joking!" I argued.
"I saw this creature that looked human! It had the same purple eyes that I've been telling you about!"
"You know what, that's it," Piper groaned.
"I'm out of here, and I'll be at my house until you stop with this whole 'purple eyed monster' thing."
"Same here," Jacqueline agreed.
They walked off together.
I groaned into my palms.
When I finally lifted my head from my hands, I glanced at the woods again.
Even if my friends won't believe me, I'm not going to stop until I figure out what lives in those woods.

After making a quick trip back to my house, I re-entered the woods.
It was dark outside, which is why I brought my flashlight with me.
My mom had wondered where I was going so late, and I lied that I was sleeping over at Piper's house.
I hated lying to my parents, but what I'm doing is important.
Because what if whatever is in those woods is a threat to the people around it?
I walked around for a little while, not knowing where I was going.
Where is that house?
"Hello?" I called out.
"Purple-eyed monster?"
No response.
"Hello?" I tried again.
A shadow appeared in the distance.
It crept forward, still shrouded in darkness.
What the hell is that?
I tried to run away from it, but the shadowy figure took off at the speed of a wolf.
My body was tackled to the ground, and I tried to scream, but a cold hand was clamped over my mouth.
Moments later, I glimpsed the same purple-eyed creature I saw earlier on top of me.
I tried to scream again but he shushed me.
"It's okay..." He whispered.
His voice sounds like rustling leaves, a raspy, scratchy sound.
But for some reason it was comforting.
"It's okay." He repeated.
"I won't hurt you."
I glanced at his mouth, and saw that his canine teeth were unusually pointy.
Could he be a vampire?
He stared into my eyes intensely.
The lavender color in his eyes began to fade away, leaving a splendid hazel shade behind.
What is going on?
He slowly removed his hand from my mouth, and I gasped.
"Your skin is so cold..." I murmured, afraid to speak.
"W-what are you?"
*Justin's POV*
Though this human's green eyes are filled with worry, their beauty is beyond compare.
"I'm a vampire." I answered her previous question.
"Are you going to suck my blood?" She inquired, scooting away from me in sheer terror.
"No, I promise I won't harm you," I smiled.
"Why did you follow me?" She asked shyly.
"Because I know what you want," I replied.
"Answers. And I'm here to give them to you. As long as you promise me one thing."
"What is it?" She looked scared.
"Don't tell anyone that I exist. Please. I prefer to stay away from humans, they can be very cruel beings," I stared right at her when I said that.
She could only nod in response.
"Now..." I said.
"What do you want to know about me?"
The urge for me to bite her was becoming stronger every second.
"Your eyes..." She mumbled.
"How do they change color like that?"
"That's the vampire in me," I explained.
"Whenever I start to crave blood, my eyes change into a lavender color. Normally, my eyes are hazel."
"So it was you that was watching me when I first went into the woods?" She asked.
"Yes," I answered.
"Anything else?"
"Yeah..." She muttered.
I could tell she was afraid to ask her next question.
"Are you...are you the one responsible for all of the dead animals?" She finally spat it out.
"The ones that were found in the woods?"
Guilt grabbed a hold on me.
I nodded, too upset to say anything.
"I hate killing the animals. But I need their blood to survive," I whispered.
The mere mention of blood got me thinking about hers.
Its smell is so sweet and fragrant, I must have a taste.
I managed to restrain my impulses.
"Why are your eyes flickering purple?" She asked.
"No reason," I lied.
"Now it's my turn to ask a question. What's your name?"
"It's Erin," She said.
Erin? What a perfect name.
My vampire senses were quickly taking me over entirely.
"Run," I commanded her.
"But I don't even know your-" She tried to say.
"I said run! As far away from me as you can! Hurry!" I interrupted her.
She looked at me hesitantly before bolting away from me.
The farther away from me she became, the more my senses died down.
I'm so glad that she got away.
