Your POV
*
"I never loved you," Jason laughed in my face as if I was dumb.
"But you know what I do love?" He held a huge wad of cash right in front of my face.
"This."
I pulled on the rope which was binding my wrists together. "Please Jason, don't do this."
"Beg all you like," he chuckled. "It's not gonna make me change my mind, sweetheart."
Tears streamed down my face as he walked towards a rough looking man.
"Do what you want to her, she's yours."
"Jason, please." It was becoming hard to breathe, I couldn't move and I couldn't think straight. I watched as Jason walked further and further away, leaving me in the hands of someone else.
"Jason, I love you." I blurted out.
I had to say it.
Otherwise it would kill me slowly.
He spun around on his heel. "And you really believed I loved you? You silly bitch," he laughed evilly. "You are nothing to me."
"But you are everything to me."
*
I woke up sweating and crying, I sat up instantly and held on to my throat as I struggled to catch my breath.
Tears slid on to my hands, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make them stop.
It was just a dream.
I tried to keep quiet, but I couldn't drown out the sound of my hiccuping sobs and Jason soon enough woke up.
I didn't want him to see me like this.
I pressed the heels of my hands to my eyes and took quick, shuddering breaths.
Jason sat up quickly as soon as he realised what was going on.
"Y/n, what's wrong?" He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to him.
I tried to steady my breathing.
Why was I having such a bad reaction to this?
"Baby, please tell me." Jason's voice shook.
"I had a bad dream." I nuzzled my face into his chest, squeezing my eyes shut and trying to stop myself from hearing Jason's haunting voice in my head.
'You are nothing to me'
"What happened?" He held me tighter and kissed my forehead.
"You sold me," I sobbed. "And you said you never loved me."
Jason hesitated before speaking, he ran a hand through my hair and pulled me even closer. "Baby girl, I would never do anything like that to you. You mean the world to me and you know that." His voice was wobbly and unstable.
"I know, I just..." I inhaled deeply. "I don't want you to leave me, I don't know what I would do without you." As much as I tried to calm down, I only seemed to get more upset.
"Listen to me, Y/n. If there's one thing I live for, it's you. You don't have to worry about anything, because I promise I'll keep you safe. You have my word."

Jason pulled on his leather jacket and counted the silver bullets on the table.
He looked a mess.
A dark purple bruise shadowed under his eye and his lip was bust.
Not to mention the wounds on his knuckles, which were open and fresh.
Yet Jason did not look weak, not in my eyes.
In my eyes, he looked stronger than ever.
Alex and josh entered the room, getting ready to leave for the day.
It only took one glance at Jason to know that something was up.
"What the fuck happened to you?" Alex raised an eyebrow at him.
Jason glanced back and an unspoken communication lingered between them. Alex inhaled deeply.
"Oh." He said eventually.
I glared at him. "Oh? That's all you can think of to say? Your own brothers been fucking beaten up and you don't even care." I snapped.
I was getting tired of not knowing.
I was getting tired of begging for the truth.
"Babe, calm down. It's not a big deal." Jason said quietly, not looking up from the table.
"You say that about everything," my voice shook. "But it's not normal to make phone calls at 3am and come back looking like you've just had twenty rounds in the ring with Rocky." I shook my head and went to my room.
Jason entered seconds later.
"What's up with you?" He pushed a hand through his hair.
"I'm scared, Jason. I'm so fucking scared." I admitted.
He sat down on the bed next to me. "About what?"
"Everything. I just want this whole thing to be over."
"It will be. Just hold on for a few more days, baby," He pecked my cheek. "Now come on, we've got to go."
-----------------
Josh guided the van into a parking space.
"Why are we here." I asked, looking around the town square.
"The casino isn't far from here," Josh explained. "We're gonna look for a place for you and Alara to stay whilst we retrieve the money and the files."
On the block from across us, one man stood in the middle of the crowd, unmoving.
He stared through the sea of people.
His eyes zeroing in on me.
An icy chill raced up my back.
As we all got out the car, I couldn't draw my eyes to anything but him.
It was my dad.
Jason tugged on my jacket. "Babe, what are you staring at? We've gotta go."
I pointed to the man I hadn't seen in so long. The man who I used to love, and the man you used to love me back.
"Guys. We have a problem." Jason muttered, keeping his eyes on Nick.
I didn't turn around when I heard everyone come up behind us.
"Is there a reason we stopped walking?" Alara's voice was irritated.
"What exactly are we looking at?" Alex searched the crowd.
"The guy in the suit." Jason replied.
"Who is that?" Josh mumbled.
"It's my dad." I clarified.
Nick reached for his phone in his pocket and brought it to his ear, probably confirming Jason's location.
Jason gripped my arm tightly, keeping me close.
"I want to speak with him." I said finally.
Jason spun me around to look at him. "Are you insane?"
"Maybe, but he's my dad. You can come with me. Please." I begged. There was so much I wanted to tell him.
I wanted to tell him how much of an asshole he is.
Jason glanced at Alex and shrugged, before sighing and interlacing his fingers with mine. "Fine. C'mon."
We weaved our way through the crowds of people before I stood face to face with the man responsible for my existence.
He looked down on me, like I was a piece of dirt.
"You look different." He said flatly.
"It's called growing up, you should've been there to see it." I kept my voice emotionless, although all I wanted to do was cry.
Jason cleared his throat. "Mr. Y/L/N, we need to talk."
"Agreed, but here's not the place." Nick said, "We'll go to the alley."
I bit my lip and squeezed Jason's hand tighter as we followed my dad towards a run down alley.
The gang followed too, just for support.
Once we were there, I stood directly in front of Nick.
"You should be ashamed of yourself." I told him.
"Hmm. I should, shouldn't I?" He spoke slowly, testing my weakness. "Too bad I'm not."
"Why did you do it? Why did you leave?" My voice cracked and my strong, confident image started to crumble.
Nick leaned down. "Because I don't care about you, Y/n." His words felt like knives. "If I cared about you, you wouldn't be involved in this mess." He smirked.
"What are you talking about?" I whispered.
Nick smiled menacingly at Jason.
"You'll find out soon enough."
Jason grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him protectively. "You're her father." He seethed, spitting out hatred with his words.
"It's just a title, McCann."
"A title you don't deserve." Jason snapped.
Nick suddenly grabbed Alex by the neck in his huge palms.
Josh pointed his gun quickly but Nick raised his eyebrows. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." He warned as Alex struggled for air.
Josh lowered the weapon slowly.
Jason inched closer, but my dad noticed and tightened his hold on Alex's neck.
"Please don't hurt him." Alara pleaded, her friendship with Alex was obviously very special to her.
"You have exactly three weeks to finish your mission, or else what do you think will happen to you and all your friends?" Nick asked with a smirk.
Alara fell to her knees, tears running down her cheeks. "Please don't hurt him."
Nick's eyes darkened. "Wrong answer."
My dad lifted Alex off the ground by his neck and looked right at Alara as he twisted his hands in a sharp motion. Alex's neck turned unnaturally between the mans palms, and his body went limp.
