"Actually, I'm not even surprised."
Alexa's pov
"Excuse me?" I scoffed in disbelief.
"You heard me! Why would you do that?" She responded, emotions almost palpable.
"El, calm down. You know I have nothing going on with harry-" I was cut short with Ela, yet again interrupting.
"Don't even go there Alexa! I saw the texts! I heard you guys that day recording! You two are always off having these secret talks!" Her anger was now fading. I could tell by the way her voice cracked in the middle of her monologue.
I was left speechless at her accusation. All of them were false.
"Ela I don't know what you think is going on, but I can assure you, nothing of that sort is happening." I spoke calmly trying to defuse the situation.
"Alexa I don't even know how to properly function right now. I'm lost. Why does harry feel the need to come and talk to you about all our problems? You two have this secret bond or whatever the hell you want to call it, and you both leave me in the dust."
Movement from the corner of my eyes startled me. I had almost forgot Niall was here. I watched as he rose from his position on the bed to stand, quite ackwardly.
"No both of you listen. Every conversation over text, and pretty much in person too, has been about you Ela! I would never, ever do that! Not to you and not to you either Niall."
I felt slightly relieved as Niall smiled over at me. "I know Alexa. You have nothing to prove to me."
"No! That's not good enough for me Alexa! Your my best friend! Not his! But all you two can do is go talk behind my back. I feel like the third wheel in my own fucking relationship!" She threw her hands up exasperatedly.
"Ela, please I never wanted I hurt your feelings. I was only trying to help." I attempted soothing her with my true feelings.
"The only help provided was him kicking me out of his apartment! He told me he loved me than just kicks me out! What the fuck am I supposed to do? Or even think?"
Left startled at the newfound information I silently screamed praise at Niall when he took over.
He turned to Ela suddenly, shoving her head into his armpit. Even though the situation was tense, I couldn't help but stifle a laugh at the scene in front of me.
"Listen Ela! Harry loves you! I already told you this once you butthead! Harry doesn't know how to handle situations that are really important to him when they don't go as planned. Just give him some time. I bet in a couple hours he'll be here and you two will be going at it in the next room.Now cut the crap and let her pack!"
He playfully scolded her. Whatever approach he taked seemed to work. Ela was quickly distracted.
"Pack? What for?" Her voice muffled through Niall's shirt.
"Ireland!" I gushed happily. My enthusiasm made it all worth it as Niall slightly released his grip on Ela to take a moment to smile over at me.
"Get off of me you oaf." Ela sighed as she nudged Niall a bit.
"Ireland huh? Meeting the folks?" She raised an eyebrow waiting for my response.
I smiled as a blush accoompanied my face for a response.
"Well..have fun with that then." She clipped back.
"Ela wait..do you still want to talk about this whole Harry thing? Honostly nothing is happening. I know for a fact he really does love you-" I paused from folding some clothing to look over at her.
"No. I don't want to talk about it. I have nothing more to say about it." She spatted immediately before turning off on her heel.
"See you in Japan." She clipped flatly.
And with that she was gone.
"Well. That was, typical Ela. Actually I'm not even surprised." Niall smiled as he threw a sweatshirt over in my direction.
I smiled back as I folded the garment to fit into my bag.
"She does come with a lot of baggage. That's for sure."

"Oh my god Niall." I gaped as we pulled into his gravel driveway. I couldn't help but stare at the scene in front of me.
Beautiful, green grass covered rolling hills as far as my eyes could see. The large house accompanied with many detailed windows lined the exterior. Expert landscaping only enhanced the property, making the house look as if it was taken from a magazine.
But that isn't the reason I was in awe. Cars. Everywhere. There wasn't a space to park for miles. I silently patted myself on the back for suggesting we take a car instead of using a rental.
"Shit." Niall mumbled as he opened and closed his mouth, taking in all the cars as well.
"How big is your family!" I half whispered, half screamed.
"Well..I guess you could say it's pretty big.. Ma must've invited everyone though.." He mumbled yet again.
"Ahem.." We were interrupted as the chubby, bald haired car driver turned around to face us.
"Oh right. Here you go mate. Thanks a lot." Niall leaned up to the front seat, passing him money.
"Anytime." He replied, his Irish accent thick.
Silently I stepped out of the cab, joining Niall as he took our luggage from out of the back.
After the cab safely maneuvered through all the cars, back to the main road I suddenly became a bit self conscience.
"Hey hey..Look here." He hushed stepping in front of me. His soft gaze demanded eye contact with mine as he tilted my chin up.
"They're all going to love you. How couldn't they?" His hand moved from my chin to my shoulder. He gently rubbed it, soothing what was left of my composure.
"Your funny, smart, talented, beautiful and a giver. Heck, they already love you."
With that confirmation, I suddenly gained the confidence just prior I was lacking. "Okay..okay let's go."
Hand in hand, luggage in tow, we both ackwardly stumbled up to the large oak doors etched with a one of a kind design.
I didn't have long to look at the door because moments later it was ripped open.
"Hi!" A small, curly haired boy beamed up at us.
"Hi!" I spoke breathlessly setting my luggage beside me.
"Cian! Hey bud! What's happening?" Niall squatted down to match Cian's eyes level.
Cian giggled as Niall playfully tugged at his shirt.
"Are you going to let us in or do we have to stand here all night?" Niall teased the small boy who couldn't contain his laughing.
"I have to let you in! I'm on door patrol!" Cian gushed as he pointed to the door frame behind him.
"Door patrol huh?" Niall smirked to himself before standing up.
"Cain this is Alexa..Alexa meet Cian." I smiled at Cian took a small step forward.
"Hi!" He greeted me again.
It was my turn to squat down to meet Cian's eye level.
"Nice to meet you Cian. That's a really cool name!" I said sticking out my hand. He grabbed my hand enthusiastically, completely enthralled at the fact people were paying him this much attention.
"Thanks!! My sister's name is like mine too!" He deemed proudly.
"Oh really?" I raised my eyebrows slightly amused.
"Yep! Her's is Ciara! We both have the same letters. Only I'm older than her. But she doesn't listen to me no matter what I say even though I'm older than her."
I couldn't contain the laugh the stumbled out if my mouth. Cian was quite the character.
"I have an older brother too. Can you keep a secret?" I leaned in closer to him with the approved nod from Cian.
"I don't listen to my big brother either." I whispered over at him.
Cian's hands flew too his mouth shocked at my "secret." However he wasn't able to reply, seeing as we were interrupted.
"They're here!" A shout resounded from the opposite side of the door.
Soon after the door was pushed open even farther.
"Cian! I told you as soon as these two came you were to let them in! Instead I find you out here keeping them to yourself!" A women stepped out. Her friendly toned ensured she was only joking.
"Niall! So nice to see you!" She greeted him with a friendly hug.
"And Alexa! Hello! I'm Cia. Also known as this little ones mom." She said as she ruffled Cian's hair.
"Nice to meet you. Your son is quite the character. He's hilarious."
She chuckled breifly.
"He is, isn't he? Crazy boy I've got on my hand. But anyways come in inside! Everyone's dying to see you two!"
I turned to see Niall. Who was already looking at me. His eyes shined in a different light as a toothy grin came into play. I watched as he outstretched his arm towards the door, smile never faltering.
"After you."
