Colby and I were at my apartment watching a movie and his phone kept getting texts.
"Ughhhhh." Colby groaned. "Carly keeps texting me."
I looked at him.
"Isn't that a good thing? Aren't you supposed to love texting your girlfriend?"
"Yeah I guess, but it's getting kinda annoying." He said then turned his phone off and set it on the table.
A few seconds later, his phone started ringing.
He picked it up.
"Oh my god." He groaned. "It's Carly, hold on."
He answered the phone, stood up, and walked into the other room.
I paused the movie that we were watching and grabbed my phone.
A few seconds later, I heard Colby talking from the other room.
I would say I wasn't eavesdropping, but I totally was.
If you couldn't tell, I have a crush on Colby.
Not just a crush, I love him.
I've loved him for 2 years, but he has no idea.
And I'd like to keep it that way.
"Carly! Why do you keep texting me?" I heard Colby ask.
I kept listening even though I could only hear one end of the conversation.
"No, I haven't checked Twitter yet today..."
Pause.
"Carly slow the fuck down. What are you saying?"
Pause.
"No! Tell me why."
Pause.
"Carly, why can't I look at Twitter, you're making no sense."
I quickly grabbed my phone and opened Twitter.
I signed into Colby's account and saw what people were tweeting him.
People were tweeting him pictures of Carly kissing another dude and telling him that Carly was cheating on him.
Damn.
I always had a feeling she would do this.
Once a slut always a slut I guess.
I heard more muffled yelling coming from the other room.
Then, Colby came back out into the living room.
He sat down on the couch next to me and sat his phone on the coffee table.
"Wow." Is all he said.
"What?" I asked, pretending that I didn't know.
"Carly's a fucking cheater."
I made a shocked face. "Oh."
"And she thought that I didn't know." He mumbled.
I looked at him.
"What?"
"I already knew, but I just honestly didn't care."
"You didn't care?" I asked.
"Yeah, I was going to break up with her soon anyway."
I was taken aback.
"You were going to break up with her?"
"Yeah." He nodded.
"Why?"
"I didn't really like her and she was just so problematic and negative all the time."
"Wait, if you didn't like her then why were you dating her?"
He looked up at me.
"Because I was doing something stupid."
"Doing something stupid?"
"I was trying to make someone jealous." He admitted.
My heart dropped.
"Oh."
I looked at the ground.
"I think that the jealousy thing didn't work though." He added.
I stayed quiet.
"I think I should just tell them how I feel," he grabbed his phone from off of the coffee table,"I'll be right back." He said, then walked into the other room.
I sat there, alone, trying not to cry.
Then, my phone started ringing.
Without checking who was calling, I answered it.
"Hello?"
"I love you."
It was Colby.
"W-what?" I asked.
"Alondra, I love you."
I dropped my phone and ran to the room that Colby was in.
I ran over to him and kissed him.
He immediately kissed back and wrapped him arms around me.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and we backed up into the wall.
I pulled away from the kiss.
"Colby do you know how fucking long I've waited to hear those words?" I asked.
"Probably as long as I have." He replied.
"2 years... 2 fucking years Brock."
We both smiled and went back to making out.
He ran his hand under my shirt, up my back. We both pulled away to take our shirts and pants off.
Our lips reconnected and with one hand he undid my bra clasp.
It fell to the ground and we started backing up onto the bed.
Then, we heard the front door burst open from the living room.
