+a lot of time skips again and quite long. i'm sorry if it took so long.
face twitching, the rays of light tickled her skin as her eyes flutter to open, she felt a weird sensation on her face, it felt like someone was writing on it. the woman heard soft giggles erupt and right there and then, she knew - the twins were at it, again.
"a whisker would look good on mama, jungie" haine heard her little girl suggest as she whispered on her twin brother.
a controlled giggle escaped their lips, "wait, i'm on it ji" the boy whispered back before making a shushing sound. Oh these twins grew up into a mischievous pair just in the span of four years.
Haine stifled a laugh, maintaining her composed self as she pretended to be asleep, she knew that she should be annoyed but how could she ever be mad on these two angels?
Haine felt a cold piece of object touch her face, she wondered what the twins used - was it her makeup or a permanent marker? Haine wished that it was the first one or else she would look really miserable.
Oh these two are really in trouble.
"wo-" a stifled squeal erupted on the little girl as soon as haine felt the cold material leave her skin, "hush ji! We're still not supposed to wake mama!" the boy whisper-yelled and haine felt little movements on the bed.
"but twinny! Mommy looks like a cat!" the little girl whined
A shriek came out of the boy, "no! mommy is supposed to look like a bunny!"
"but mommy looks like a cat in your drawing"
Why must I look like a bunny?
"I, mama was supposed to look like our mama bunny as we're her twin bunnies" the little boy's voice were soft but he was in a conflict.
"th-then hurry, let's erase the-"
Playtime's over, you little naughty children.
"erase what?" haine muttered before her eyes opened and this action surprised the two. "mama!"
Once haine's eyes opened, she saw the two kids sitting on either side of her body and they were clearly not amused. "mama! Oh dear holy unicorns-"
Haine sat up on the bed and the two little kids felt really small. "it's mommy's payback time!" haine cheered before tackling the two on the bed and attacking them with tickles.
"mama! Wait- haha, wait!" "no! i-it tickles!" the two simultaneously said.
"you two little devils, you two were oh so naughty!"
"kyaah! Mama!"
"no! haejung is sorry, stop. Stop! Hahaha mama, mama!"
Haine find herself laughing at the sight of the two kids who writhe against her attacks, they were so adorable squealing and giggling their hearts out. It was still early in the morning and they were able to make her day. Haine's hands withdrew as she had enough when she saw the two helplessly chased for their breath.
Carrying the two and settling them on her lap, she smiled widely before engulfing them into a bear hug. "good morning my little monsters" she whispered and the two's lips curved into a cute smile as they returned the hug to their mother.
"good morning mama endorphin!" haine smiled at the nickname, they really got the adorable and bright persona on their father.
Endorphin. Nobody ever said nor told the twins that the nickname held such a meaning to their mother, it was purely coincidental on how the twins decided to call their mother that nickname. Haine could still remember the way they decided to call their mother that way.
"endorphin is a hormone released to ease and trigger a positive feeling in the body" the two sat on the sofa, watching some documentary that was too informative for their own good as she set up the table for their dinner.
"endorphin?" the little girl spoke, her head resting on her brother's shoulder.
"it's a substance inside our body, ji" the boy spoke, being the lover of books and a total geek, explained to his sister.
"what does it do, jungie?" the girl asked again.
"it gives happiness. Endorphin is a substance which triggers the feeling of happiness" the boy explained and the girl hummed.
"isn't that like mama?" the girl questioned and haine raised her brow, upon hearing the statement.
"like mama?" the boy echoed, "yeah, mama gives us happiness and she makes us happy always!" the little girl beamed and the boy smiled.
"yeah, mama is our endorphin"
Haine smiled at the thought as she was yet again pulled into reality once she heard her little girl's voice.
"mama, we're -" the girl stopped, "going out today, right?" the boy continued for his sister.
Haine smiled, "yes, you little monster. We're going out today"
The two smiled brightly again as they hugged their mother, "can we wear matching clothes mama!? We want to wear matching clothes with you" haine felt the strings in her heart being tugged, the two were just so adorable.
The mother nodded, "yes yes, get cleaned up or else we would be late for our family day out!" the two nodded vigorously as haine beamed, the two scrambled off of the bed and marched towards the door, hastily.
"wait! Twinny, we forgot something!" the two was just about to turn the knob but the little girl halted her twin brother, haine's brows furrowed in curiosity. What did they forgot?
"oh! Yeah, wait!" the two's hands clasped on one another before they marched towards haine once more, climbing on the bed, they settled on her lap again and haine was really confused.
"babies, what-" even before haine could've finished her sentence, the two leaned in her face and kissed her cheeks - the girl on the left whilst the boy on the right.
Haine's heart leaped, "we love you, mama!" the two smiled brightly once more as they pulled away, before finally scurrying off on their shared room and got themselves ready.
A smile painted haine's lips as she touched the two spots where her little peanuts kissed, they were really the greatest gift she had ever had in her entire life.

"mama endorphin!" the two spoke simultaneously as they couldn't help but drag haine, the two's eyes gleamed with excitement as they head off into the nearest amusement park.
It was that time of the week where they would go out and spend all day just playing until the twins found no energy to even move a muscle.
"mama!" the two eagerly spoke, jumping around haine as they couldn't contain their happiness. It was a first for the twins to step inside an amusement park and seeing the rides, the two were truly in glee.
The twins liked to ride the adrenaline-rushing rides, the ones where you'll be lifted up to a certain height and will surprisingly burst your body down - the two were clearly a bundle of sunshine and fun.
"let's ride the roller coaster this time!" the boy pointed his finger on the heart-palpitating ride when they finished a couple of rides, a smile painted his lips with pure adoration as he saw how the mechanism paced on the tracks. "me too! Mama! Let's ride that one!" haine smiled, hearing the twins chant on how they wanted to ride that fantastic ride as well.
The three strode to the line but was disappointed when they weren't allowed to ride it because the twins were still little for the height requirement.
"why can't we ride it?" the boy pouted, clearly disappointed. "yeah, we're not scared! We want that ride" the girl followed as her voice was laced with a tinge of sadness. The twins were clearly not amused and haine wanted to replace the frown on their lips. She let the two sit on the bench just infront of the playground inside the amusement park, her eyes trailed everywhere and she saw the cotton candy stand.
The twins would like the sweet thing, it would surely lift their spirits.
Haine became eager, "my little monsters?" she cooed, letting her gaze fall on the two and the twins looked up to her, "I'll buy you cotton candies. How does that sound, loves? Stay here okay?" the two half-bakedly smiled and haine immediately scurried off to the stall.
She didn't quite expect them to wander off.
"jihye? haejung?" the woman asked, she just returned on the place where she left the two and only worry slowly ate up her fragile heart.
jihye and haejung were out of sight.
she searched for the two sunshine but they were gone.
where did you two go? why did you leave mama, we were supposed to play, right?
haine's eyes roamed all around the playground, legs walking, searching for any visible hint and shadow of two little kids wearing their matching denim jumpers - the boy in his knee length jumpers while the girl in her skirt.
we were supposed to be having fun as all of us wore matching clothes.
the mother wished they would magically come approaching her as they walked hand in hand, both smiling and giggling their heart out.
It didn't matter even if they disobeyed her, what was important is she found them - fast.
her eyes continued to search all around the vicinity and there was really no traces of them and it saddened her.
no, where did you two go? am i going to lose you two, too?
haine's thoughts were clouded with panic as countless of disturbing scenarios began playing in her mind.
what if they were kidnapped? what if they never come back? i only left for a while to buy them cotton candies and - and i told them to stay here, they were never ones to wander off. babies where are you two?
eyes blurring, tears unconsciously cascaded in her cheeks as she soon find herself breaking down. cupping her face, she sat silently on the bench as she tried to recollect her thoughts finding some way to find them but she couldn't think of any.
"where-"
"mama!" head snapping up front and heart hammering inside her chest, she heard the familiar voices of her babies. relief and contentment ran on her spine. haine immediately saw her little sunshines right across her while they sprint towards her direction.
"mama!" the two repeated and haine find herself marching towards the two, kneeling in the right time to engulf the two in a hug.
"you twinnies! where the hell did you go?!" the mother slightly pulled away as she pinched the two's cheeks.
"wahhh! mama wihh huwts! (it hurts!)" the little girl whined while haine couldn't still stop the tears in her eyes.
"mama! wet gwu! (let go!)" the boy spoke too, little hands holding his mother's trying to pull it away from his cheek.
Haine pulled her hand away as she continued to weep, continuously wiping the tears that fell. She was just so happy that the twins were safe
"you two are safe, i was so scared"
the twins noticed the tears in their mother's eyes and they couldn't help but feel worried.
"mama, we're sorry" the two spoke simultaneously.
"mama, please don't cry" the little girl softly spoke peeling her mother's hand away from it's face.
the little boy frowned as he reached out to wipe the tears in their mother's face. "we were wrong, we disobeyed you"
haine slightly composed herself, "just where did you two go?"
"we wanted ice cream" the two simultaneously said, eyes filled with guilt. "we sorry"
"ice cream?" haine echoed.
"yes, mama we -"
even before the little boy could've finished what he wanted to say, a familiar voice spoke cut him as haine saw a brown leather shoes and black tight slocks in her view. "sorry"
Haine's eyes suddenly widened. afraid to look up, her heart was hammering in so much speed and she could've sweared she almost thought it was him for the tone of that voice . . . but it has been four years.
four years has passed ever since she got a news about him and yet, yet why was she expectant?
"i saw them looking intently at the ice cream truck and i wanted to treat them with it, i never thought something like this would ever happen"
"we're sorry, teacher jeon found us in here"

hearing the word was enough to make her feel even weak.
No, it might be someone else. it couldn't be, there are countless of jeon in the world and i'm sure it isn't him.
composing herself, she slowly stood up, painting a smile on her lips she wanted to thank the man for bringing the kids back. she bowed before meeting the man's face. "thank you so much for bringing my kids back, i am so greatful of yo-" haine shoot up, eyes meeting with the stranger and she swore she could've felt herself cry again.
wearing a black button up, eyes gleaming with yearning and hair slightly dishevelled, the young man's lips were graced with a tender smile "your kids are beautiful, haine"
haine felt her heart stop.
it couldn't be.
"and so are you"
It was undoubtedly him and he looked ever so handsome.

jeon jeongguk was right infront of her and her eyes, her eyes couldn't help but blurr with tears once again.
