After Mrs Cumber's class, only one lecture was left and then we were free to leave.
We got a 10 min break between the two lectures.
I pulled my bag and took out notes of the next lecture.
Only when I was completely ready for the next lecuture, I turned to Melly.
She was drowning in her mobile.
Melly was very much connected to her phone. It was her lifeline.
She can live without food and shelter but snatch her phone for a second and her heart will fail.
She was typing something and her face was pouted.
"What is it Melly?" I asked.
"Oh! It is Rowan, he says that his left leg is paining badly." She made a sad face.
"I guess it is nothing to do with STD. Is it?" I asked.
"Of course not. And we did use protection." She revolted.
"Must be a cramp then. He should see a doctor." I said.
"Yeah, I told him to do so. And also I will go to see him." she smiled.
"Hmm... Love over life" I smiled back.
"Hey, you should also come with me." she said.
"No way. He doesn't even know me." I said.
"But I think that he should know you. Who knows he might be my spouse one day...." She said.
"Yeah your spouse and I will be your bridesmaid." I joked.
"We are going too far. You are coming with me." she ordered.
"No, I am not." I said.
"Dude he can tell us about Derek." She said.
"Derek?" I asked surprisingly. Even the thought of him made me blush.
"Yep. He is a good friend of Rowan, they are soccer mates." She said.
"Nah..." I said.
"Don't you wanna go on a date with him? You blushed when I mentioned him." she asked and her left eyebrow lifted.
I smiled and said "Hmm... we talked about it right?"
"Your choice" she said and went back to her phone.
Mr Cumber entered the class and asked for homework.
As usual, Melly didn't have it.
We submitted and returned to our places.
Last class was a waste of time. The teacher as well as the students were exhausted.
I was all lost in thoughts. Derek was a guy whom I liked but he was nothing more than a crush to me. And maybe it was because I loved to watch soccer and he was the captain.
But on a date with him was.... Well it was...
"Becky Walden. Would you mind defining Gears?" asked Mr Cumber.
Oh no! He caught me day dreaming. But I had the answer ready.
I got up and gave the right answer and then the class continued.
Even after this I don't want to be in the class.
I thought, I was eighteen and I had never been on a date. How weird was that. Not even a single date.
Guys propose me and I say NO every time and move on. I don't want to belong to anyone. But I want to be on a date.
I want a guy to give a shit about me.
Talking about them, I was friends with a guy named Micheal Smith. He was a classmate of mine and we exchanged notes. We met in the library and that was the only time we talked. He was shy, just like me. But was a good to be friends with guy.
Else I didn't know any other guy personally.
Melly was the exact opposite of mine. She had many relationships wrecks in the college itself. She was demanding and expected too much from the other gender.
Last week she hooked up with Rowan. And now she is all crazy for him.
She joined the cheerleading team and that is how they met.
But I didn't like being on the team even when I knew that I danced very well.
I have heard that the head cheerleader had affairs with three of the team members at a time and it was the main reason why I didn't apply for the post.
Soon the bell rang and we went to the parking lot.
"So are you coming?" she asked as we got into her car.
I failed the driving test so Melly was my transportation for most of the times.
I gave a final thought and then the voice said that there wasn't anything wrong in going with her.
"I am coming" I answered.
"Cool, be ready at 6" she said and drove off.
I entered my house and met my mom in the kitchen.
"Hey sweetie, how was the day?" she asked me with a broad smile on her face.
"Nice. As usual." I answered and went upstairs.
My mom was a teacher and she rarely went to school but get paid very well and my dad worked in a pharma company so they were able to afford this beautiful house with a swimming pool and a lawn.
I took a shower, had something to eat, did my homework and was ready sharp at 6.
Melly came and we drove off.
She was wearing a short blue coloured one piece with a deep neck.
Looked sexy but I didn't comment.
We reached his place in a few minutes and went in.
His mom greeted us and also informed that Rowan was up stairs.
We climbed up and I asked her "You guys did it here?"
I had a curiosity to get the answer for a long time.
"No we did it at my place. My parents are heavy sleepers." She answered in a low voice.
We reached the floor and I followed her to his room.
