Lia's POV
Rocco won. Which annoyed me because I wanted to win.
"Morning guys. I can't believe you guys are 18 today. Sit down and we will bring you your cake!" Mum squealed squeezing the life out of us.
So me and Liam sat down and Sami sat on my lap as they sang happy birthday.
The cakes looked awesome and We were just smiling stupidly.
"Blow out your candles!" Dad says.
And we do, I wish that everything goes right this time.
"Right here are knives be careful." Mum says as Addie runs through the door in her onesie.
"Oh I missed it." She says sitting in the chair next to me sadly.
"It's ok we still have to cut it." Liam says.
She still frowned.
"Cut it! I want cake!" Sami shouts. So we cut our cakes and mum and dad take them away to cut slices for breakfast.
"Hey! I want to give her the ring." Sami says and starts crying.
"Sami she loves it. It's ok." Rocco tells her but she keeps crying.
"I wanted to see her face! No fair!" She screamed and mum pops out to find out what happens.
"She's crying for no reason." Liam says.
"I don't like you rocky!" Sami cries before jumping off my lap and running out the room.
"Rocco gave me Sami's present and she's upset about it." I tell her as Rocco comes back with her and stood her in the corner.
"Stand there and be quiet. Don't move I'm not happy with you right now." He told her but she ran away again.
So he put her back.
"Stand there! If you move you will get into more trouble!" He shouts and she stood there but then ran.
"Sami I swear to fucking god! Stand in the corner!" Rocco shouts putting her back.
"Sami listen to Rocco." Mum tells her but she doesn't and as she runs she clips her head on the door.
I ran to her straight away with Rocco picking her up.
"I'm sorry." He tells her as she screams in pain.
I looked at her head and it was bleeding.
"Mum her head." I say and she came over and took Sami.
"Rocco I'm going to take her to the emergency room you can stay here." Mum says and he nods quietly.
"Sorry for ruining your birthday." He says.
"You didn't ruin my birthday."
"Liam sorry for ruining your birthday." Rocco says before going upstairs.
I sat down with Addie and Liam feeling so shit.
"Hate that he feels like this." I say cover my face with my hands.
"Everyone does." Liam says rubbing my back.
"Guys I've put the cake in the fridge for later." Dad says sitting down with us.

I was getting ready for trick or treating/ party but I don't think Rocco is going which is ok.
"Lia?" He asked.
"Yeah."
"Do you think I will be able to do this, take care of Sami?" He asked.
"You keep asking me. Yes I think you can. One minor setback shouldn't make you question your parenting. Toddlers run into thing its normal. When I was three me and Liam broke both arms because we fell down the stairs a little hit on the head is fine." I tell him and as I finish up mum walks in with an asleep Sami.
"She's fine just some glue and tape but they did give her some pretty heavy drugs to calm the pain. They didn't call social services I know you were worrying about that." Mum say placing Sami next to him.
"Thank you so much Kate." He sounds so appreciative.
"It's ok. Now get ready for the party. Your not missing out." I love my mum so much.
"I can't thank your mum enough."
"She's an amazing woman. I'm lucky to have her as a mum." I add.
He was lost for words and I knew that all he was doing was rubbing softly with his thumb his sisters cut.
I liked that he was sensitive and caring.
"I still feel bad for her. 3 years old and will never know her mum properly and has to live with the fact her dad was abusive." He says.
"But she has you and that's all she needs. A brother that loves her so much even after so much shit and shit to come still was there to look out for her." I would be happy with just my brother.
"What did I do to deserve you?" He asked.
"Everything now start getting ready because I want to win couples costume." I tell him.

I've literally just eaten 3 slices of cake as Rocco got ready.
"Can I have one more?!" I ask dad in the kitchen.
"Lia are you ok? If you eat any more you will be sick. No more." Dad takes my plate and and gives me a bowl.
"Have some salad." I rolled my eyes and went back upstairs to Rocco drying his green hair.
"It looks good doesn't it. I might just leave it like this." I shook my head.
"I will not have a green haired boyfriend. I love you but no green hair. But you do look hot with the fake tattoos." I tell him going over and hugging him.
"We do look hot. So don't worry about not winning." He tells me before pecking me on the lips.
"I do think you should get some tattoos. Makes you look more manly." I don't know why I decide to boost his ego but I like it.
"I already look manly but thank you." He says flexing his muscles but I thought I'd burst his bubble by giving him two purple nurple. Then running. But he grabbed me too fast and I didn't get away.
"Thinking you can get away with that. Lia you thought wrong!" He tickles me until I can't breathe.
"Rocco!" He let me go and I was panting on the floor.
"Told you baby you can't get away with that." He whispers in my ear and I giggle.
"Rocky?" We hear a small voice from the bed and we both scrambled to Sami.
"I want mummy." She cries.
"I know but we can't get her right now." He says picking her up.
"My head has an owie." She says and Rocco kisses it better.
"All better." She smiles and tiredly rests on her brother.
"I get to be princess tonight." She mumbles.
"Yes you do." Rocco says before putting her back down.
I love this poor girl to death.
