Kiba?
By the time I search for him, he's disappeared into a crowd of people. I don't know whether to be ecstatic I just saw him again or scared he's risking his life just to tell me I'm powerful.
I wonder if he knows anything about my brother. I notice I've been standing in front of the cafe staring at the floor with my eyebrows scrunched together in confusion. I shake my head and decide to make my way back to the guild. When I pass by the bush that, I think Kiba, had passed by no one is even there. Great, now I'll be even more paranoid about someone watching me.
Arriving back at the guild I sit down at the bar and request for a water.
"Are you ok, (Y/n)? You seem upset." Mirajane asks as she hands me a glass of water.
"Yeah. It's been a weird today to say the least." I reply after thanking her and taking a sip of water.
"It's usually weird everyday in the guild." She chimes and I chuckle. It's true, there's not one normal day here. "I forgot to ask, how was the pool yesterday? Did Gray like your bathing suit?!"
"It was great! And I guess. . ." I say honestly. I don't really know the answer to the second question. I have a hard time believing the answer would be "yes."
"You should enter the Miss Fiore contest this year!" Mirajane suggests and she giggles at my confused look. "Every year their is a contest where the girls in the town compete to get the title "Miss Fiore". Whoever wins gets to be on the main float in the parade but I heard they are switching it up this year. They are going to have a Mister and Miss Fiore! People can enter as couples or the fans get to pick who they want to be a couple! You should enter with Gray!"
"I don't think so. Juvia will probably pick him first." I counter. I would never have the guts to ask him anyways and even if I did he'd probably rather be with Juvia so why would I put myself through the pain of being rejected when I can just avoid it altogether?
"Not if you do! Even if you don't sign up as a couple I'm sure very one will vote for you to be the couple anyways! You are both so cute together!" She chimes as usual. I wish I had as much faith in myself as she does.
Lucy comes up and thankfully steals me away from this conversation to invite me over her house later. Team Natsu's going to watch a movie which has yet to be picked. I agree and go over to the job board like earlier today. Should I tell someone about what happened to me earlier? I don't want to stress any of them out.
One of the request catches my eye, about a library here in Magnolia that someone keeps stealing books from and setting up traps to replace them. The reward is. . .
One million jewels!!
I immediately swipe it off the board, even though I can't do it today since it's almost time to go to Lucy's, I don't want anyone taking it.
A few minutes later I walk to Lucy's place while constantly looking over my shoulder to see if someone's following me. I exhale a sigh of relief when I finally reach our apartment complex, the button to our floor lighting up as I press it. Gray steps in right before the doors start to close. I greet him while we ride up together.
He knocks on Lucy's door and we here her yell for us to come in. The rest of the team is already here and Lucy sends me a pleading look. The couch has been pushed back and I assume Natsu made the fort that's taking up all the space in the living room. Blankets are layered on the floor, perfect for laying or sitting on. Pillows are also out along with popcorn and candy.
"This is awesome!" I exclaim, rushing under the fort as I glance around. I've always wanted to do something like this but don't really have time.
"Thanks!" Natsu says, taking all the credit as I thought he would.
"What are we going to watch?" Erza asks, sitting on the floor, a bowl of popcorn resting in her lap.
"Let's watch a horror movie!" Natsu suggests and even though I don't like the idea I stay silent. I get scared quite easily so I've never been a fan.
"I don't think that'd be the best." Gray says, ducking under the tent and taking the only available seat which, of course, is right next to me. He gives me a knowing look making me smile as I look away.
"How about action." I recommend and everyone agrees. Lucy pops the movie in and I lay down on the floor next to Gray.
About halfway through the movie I start to get unbearably sleepy. The movie was at a slow part and it was difficult to keep my eyes open. Lucy seemed to be having a hard time staying awake too. Before I know it I've fallen asleep mid movie.
A soft rhythmic thumping in my ear is the first thing I wake up to. I feel myself slowly moving up and down to the pace of someone else's breathing, not my own. Fear courses through my veins but I dare not open my eyes. My upper body is resting on someone's bare chest. Whoever it is has both of their arms wrapped around my back. (Picture above.)
Did someone kidnap me? What if they did something to me?
I think back to the previous night and the last thing I remember is falling asleep while watching a movie at Lucy's.
Wait.
It can't be.
I peak one of my eyes up and see a dark blue fairy tail symbol on the persons toned chest.
It's Gray.
I spent the night with Gray and somehow ended up on my bed in my own house. The street lamp outside is casting tiny streaks of light across the floor where the light has seeped through my blinds telling me it's still dark out. Glancing down I see my arm is touching his defined abs and I almost forget how to breathe.
His grip on me tightens and my heart pounds as he slightly shifts beneath me. I sigh, savoring being held in Grays arms since it will soon be over. I close my eyes, focusing my attention on the warmth of his body radiating on to mine. Before I know it the rhythm of his breathing coaxes me back to sleep.
When I wake up again, Gray is softly tapping on my shoulder. I get up and notice I'm still laying on him. My cheeks burn as I quickly stand on my own two feet.
"What's wrong?" He asks, suddenly alert to my nervousness. He seems kind of flustered himself.
"Nothing just. . . how did I end up back here? I fell asleep at Lucy's" I ask and he furrows his eyebrows.
"You don't remember?" He inquired making me extremely worried. Did I do something awkward?
"N-No. What did I do?" I ask.

Exclusive Gray P.O.V.
The movie just ended so I glance over at (Y/n) and smile slightly when I see she's asleep. Memories of the one night she woke up screaming and crying from her past come to mind as I watch her peaceful figure. I never want to see her cry again.
She doesn't deserve all of this.
I can tell she doubts herself a lot. She is more powerful then she thinks through.
"I'll take her to her apartment." I whisper to Lucy since everyone is leaving. I link one of my arms around her back and one under her knees, trying not to wake her up. The weird pounding in my heart that I get whenever I'm around her is back.
(Y/n) is extremely pretty but despite all the signs which have accumulated, telling me I like her, I try not to. I'm afraid she'll get hurt or something will happen to her since everyone I used to love got killed. I won't let that happen to her though, I'll protect her even if I die doing so.
I unlock the door to her apartment with a key she had in her pocket and quietly close the door with my foot. Tip toeing into her room, I gently set her down on her bed. She stirs a little making me wince in fear I woke her up but she soon settles down.
I'm about to walk away when I hear her softly mutter something. Does she talk in her sleep? I wait a few more seconds to see if she speaks again.
"Don't go. . . Please. . ." She says, her voice barely above a whisper. My heart skips a beat at her words. She's probably scared because of everything that's going on, especially with someone watching her now. Maybe I made her more nervous by hiding in a bush while she was talking to the man in the hoodie. I was just trying to look out for her and see if I could find the person who's stalking her.
Oh man, I've become like Juvia.
(Y/n)'s tiny hand grasping mine snaps me out of my thoughts. Her eyes are still closed but she has to be awake since she did that. I gently lay beside her in the bed. I'll stay till she falls asleep. My eyes widen when I feel her rest her head on my shoulder and she wraps her arm across my. . . bare stomach!! I really need to get this subconscious stripping thing to stop, or at least be able to control when it happens!
I wrap my arms around her and she nuzzles herself closer to me. A smile forms on my lips as I drift to sleep.
End of Gray's P.O.V.

"Nothing bad. You just asked me to stay with you." Gray responds making heat creep up my cheeks again. He gets up and puts his shirt back on.
"S-Sorry." I apologize sheepishly as we walk to the kitchen to get breakfast.
"It's fine. I figured you were kind of freaked out because of finding out someone's watching you." Gray explains and I nod.
"It's already ten!" I exclaim as I hurry to get ready making Gray rush also. We walk into the guild together and Juvia pounces onto Gray. I feel slightly better knowing Juvia's never cuddled with Gray all night. . . or maybe she has and I just don't know. . .
I walk over to a smirking Lucy sitting at the bar and I sigh since I already know what's coming.
"It's pretty late and you walked in with Gray." She starts, acting all nonchalant. Mirajane comes over and joins in on the conversation. "Ok, tell me what happened!"
"I guess I subconsciously asked Gray not to leave me while I was sleeping so he stayed and I may or may not have woke up all cuddled up with him. . ." I say as I start to blush again. Both of them start squealing like fangirls making me laugh.
"I told you that you need to enter the Mister and Miss Fiore contest with him this year!" Mirajane chimes and Lucy gasps.
"That's a great idea!!" Lucy exclaims and I playfully roll my eyes.
"There's a job I picked off the board I think we should do. The reward is a million jewels." I inform Lucy as Mirajane gets called away by someone. Her eyes widen at the reward as she agrees that we should tell the rest of the team.
Woah it's almost 2000 words! I got so into writing this I didn't even realize it! I hope you enjoyed it! Ready for a job and then some more memories?!
