I felt a strong vibration on the couch, bothering my peaceful sleep. I tried to ignore the vibration, hoping it would stop anytime soon. All I had ever wanted in my life was not to be woken up on a Saturday morning.
But no. It didn't stop. I knew it was from my iPhone. Whoever was calling, that person really did not know how to give up. With my eyes closed, I slid my phone to answer the call.
"Hello..." My morning voice filled with annoyance.
"Jinhee-ah, are you still sleeping? Aigoo... This lazy bum."
Excuse me? I knew that voice. It was none other than Jimin and that did not make my mood a lot better. "Why are you disturbing me, it's weekends you little–"
"Let's go out and have some fun! We've planned to go to the amusement park, do you want to join us?" He cut me off and kept babbling about his plan. I listened to him in my half-sleepy state. I knew he was trying to convince me to go as he purposely did his aegyo(cuteness).
"Do I have another choice? Seems like you will keep bothering me until I say yes." I sat up on the couch and rubbed my eyes. When I was awake enough, I found myself looking around my surroundings with widened eyes.
Oh. I forgot that I came to sleepover at Suzy's mansion. No wonder I felt uncomfortable.
"You know me so well, Jinhee-ah." I could hear Jimin giggled over the phone.
"Doing your aegyo won't work on me, little Dooly. Anyway, can I invite Soojung and Suzy too?" I got up from the couch and walked around, searching for Soojung and Suzy. They were not on the couch anymore. I figured they might have woken up before me.
"Yes, anything for my ladies. Namjoon hyung is already excited to see Soojung, which he tried to hide it somehow. Haha."
"What are you saying, you brat!"
I heard Jimin's cheeky laugh and Namjoon shouted at him. I couldn't help but smile over the phone. I was glad that the boys finally acted like their oldselves, wishing yesterday's memories would fade away.
"Our Jinhee, Good morning!"
The phone was now passed to Hoseok. It was funny how I could exactly imagine the way he greeted me.
"Good morning, Hoseok oppa." I reached the kitchen and found Soojung and Suzy.
They were busy making breakfast. Correct that—they were throwing foods at each other playfully while laughing. What a wonderful morning scene, and I meant it.
"We'll meet up around 4 at Lotte World. Make some snacks for us, Jinhee-ah. I'm craving for your food, yum yum!" He chirped excitedly. I just laughed and shook my head.
"Oppa, I know... You just don't want to buy expensive food there, right?" I asked with a teasing smile.
"Hahaha. Jinhee, what are you saying..." Hoseok laughed. Well, he must be waving off his hand, denying the truth.
Silence.
"Okay, you got me." He admitted with a serious tone.
I chuckled. "I'll make it real good, don't worry. See you later oppa."
"Bye ~" and he hung up.
"Jinhee! Morning best." Soojung stopped with their foods fight when she saw me standing there, looking like a pretty zombie.
"Morning girls." I lazily greeted them back with my sleepy eyes. I couldn't even fully open my eyes.
"Aw, our Jinhee woke up looking like Sleeping Beauty..."
I smiled cheekily with my eyes closed. What with everyone calling me 'their Jinhee' anyway?
"Maybe we should put some makeup to make you look better!"
Immediately, my eyes flitted open. But I was too late to dodge because I felt a mixture of cold flour on my face. With that, I am now fully awake, feeling disgusted at the slippery mixture.
"Yah!" I whined, making both of them laugh harder. "You guys are not getting away."
Time for revenge. I reached my hand into the bowl filled with whipped cream and aimed at them. When the whipped cream smacked exactly on Suzy's cheek, I laughed out loud and the foods fight continued until we felt like not wasting food anymore.
"Do you girls feel like going to Lotte World today? After a tough week and lots of things happening to us, I think we should do something crazy and fun. What do you say?" I raised my brows as I was helping them cooking delicious pancakes for breakfast. I noticed they exchanged a look before they looked back at me.
"We're actually planning to go there," Soojung said, still looking surprised.
"Seriously?" I couldn't help but feel bewildered at the coincidence of both parties.
"I even have prepared the outfits for the three of us." Suzy winked at me.
"But, you know... We are going with Bangtan boys. Do you girls mind..?" I asked sheepishly, hoping they wouldn't mind with the idea of hanging out with Bangtan boys.
They momentarily froze at their position. A few seconds later, they pushed me to sit on one of the kitchen stools and towered over me.
"I have been dying to ask you about Bangtan boys. Mind to explain?" Soojung and Suzy had their arm crossed, looking at me suspiciously. At that time, I was pretty sure they will squeeze everything out from me.
"Well... How to say this..." I scratched my neck awkwardly.
"Well... Just say it..." Soojung mimicked my tone.
"Fine. Okay. It's all started from... I found out about their secret hideout which you guys already know. We made a deal and they said that if I wanted to stay in their hideout, I have to become something useful. And I accidentally suggested that I can be their manager. End of story." I shrugged, trying to look like it was not a big deal. I could see my best friends were frowning while eyeing me.
"Why would you stay in their secret hideout? I mean, you can just keep it as a secret and never appeared in front of them anymore?" Soojung asked.
I averted my gaze and bit my lip. Because... I wanted to hear Taehyung sing again. But of course, I wasn't going tell her that. I bet Soojung would accuse me for liking Taehyung. I don't like him, just yet, not to that extent.
"Because I can't seem to believe the rumors about them. I'm just so curious and I wanted to know the real truth." I stood up and sat on the kitchen island.
"Even though we've told you that they're dangerous?" Suzy still had her arm crossed.
"Come on girls. After what happened yesterday, you can see that they're not dangerous. They saved me from the bad guys, twice. In fact, they're just being themselves. Noisy, playful, funny and they won't hurt good people. They had their own boundaries, of course."
"Uh huh. And now you're defending them." Soojung rolled her eyes.
"They have the potential of hurting you, Jinhee. For example, Kim Taehyung. Remember how he was acting yesterday?" Suzy reminded me and I started to think about it again.
I jumped down from the kitchen island and walked over to the almost burn pancakes and immediately flipped it.
"What's the problem, girls?" I turned around and crossed my arm. I don't get it. Why did they hate Bangtan boys so much? I wanted to know why.
"The problem is, you didn't even tell us about meeting them. I thought we're best friends..." A half smile formed on Soojung's lips. Her puffy eyes looking at me with a little sadness.
"Because I know you guys are going to react exactly like this, that's why I don't bother to mention about them. Another thing is, you guys believed too much in the rumors about them. What? Kim Taehyung had murdered someone? Who? If that's so, his place will be in the jail, not walking freely in the school." I explained, trying to instill some facts in them. Both of them were quiet for a while.
"That Taehyung guy, he likes you, right?" Suzy's sudden question almost made me choke on air. I looked at her with widened eyes.
"H-how do I know!" I stuttered and my heart started to pump very fast. That was so... out of nowhere.
"Judging by the way he held your hands so firmly yesterday, it's like you're someone so special to him." Soojung's words did not make my heart feel any better.
I felt my cheeks flushed pink. I couldn't form a sentence to deny whatever nonsense they were saying. I tried to say something but ended up looking at them nervously.
"Nah... He's just not in his right mind yesterday, we all know that. And why would he like me anyway? I mean, you guys are here, looking all perfect and gorgeous. Except for those puffy eyes." I giggled and smiled brightly at them.
"Well, you might find this hard to believe..," Suzy trailed along and glanced at Soojung before she faced me again, "Both of us got rejected by Kim Taehyung."
My smile dropped almost immediately. "What?!" I squeaked in a high-pitch voice, making both of them looking at me like I was a crazy mad woman.
"Why? When? How?" I walked closer to them while waiting for them to answer.
"How... We did it separate ways, of course. I liked him first, then Soojung said she liked him too. Do you remember we had a big fight after that?" Suzy was trying to make Soojung remember something in the past.
"Yeah yeah! We pulled each other hair and almost had a wrestling showdown right in front of everyone." Soojung started to laugh hard while hitting the counter while Suzy laughed along with her.
"Why? When?" I couldn't seem to believe whatever they were saying.
"When... I don't quite remember. Maybe around 2012 or 2013... When we were young and foolish." Soojung's face had turned red, seemed like she couldn't stop laughing.
"Why?"
"Why... Because we just liked him. He was one of the most popular kids, I guess. I don't want to remember." Suzy waved me off.
"No. I mean, why did he reject you guys? It was unbelievable." I had my eyebrows knotted, wondering why would Taehyung reject these two beautiful ladies.
"Everyone had tried confessing their feelings to him, but he rejected almost all of them."
"Because of his best friend,"
"Jimin?" I asked. I only knew Jimin as his best friend.
"No, it was a girl called... Wait, what's her name again?" A crease formed on Soojung's forehead as she tried to remember.
"Kwon Mia."
