12. Cooking
Niall: “Still sore from last night, babe?” Niall says cockily, walking into the bedroom and sitting down next to you. You groan and feebly attempt to shove him off. He laughs and grabs you by the waist, pulling you onto his lap. “I know something that will make it better,” he says, as he begins peppering your face with kisses. “Can you guess?” You think for a moment before saying hopefully, “Breakfast?” He pulls away, smiling. “I know you too well. How about I make you some bacon and eggs,” he says as he stands up and offers you his hands. You take them, but when you groan again upon standing, he bends down and picks you up bridal style to carry you to the kitchen. “Don’t worry, babe, chef Nialler will make everything better,” he said, winking and turning towards the stove.
Harry: “GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN!” your boyfriend yells playfully, pushing you out of the door. “Come on, Harry! Let me help!” you say, pulling on his apron strings as he tries to walk away from you. “No! I’m going to cook this dinner all by myself! I will, however, allow you to sit and watch,” he says, turning around to face you. “Fine,” you huff, sitting on one of your bar stools. “But you know, the show would be more fun if you had less on.” He smirks at you as you wink at him, “You cheeky little girl. Well, if you insist…” he says, removing his apron to take off his shirt. “Better?” he asks, picking up the whisk. You laugh, unabashedly checking him out. “Well hello chef Harry,” you say as he turns to focus on the food. “Now about those pants…”
Zayn: “Zayn, I’m home!” you say, walking through the front door. “Wait! Stay right there a moment! Don’t move!” Zayn yells from the kitchen. “Okay?” you say, staying put. Hearing clattering going on, you say, “Babe, everything okay in there?” “Yep! Just give me a moment!” You stand in the entryway for a couple of minutes before Zayn finally says, “Okay! You can come in now!” You walk into the kitchen. The lights are dim and candles are flickering around the room. Zayn was standing next to the immaculately dressed table with a bashful look on his face. On the table were all your favourite foods. “Zayn,” you breathe, “you did this all for me? This is so romantic.” “Nothing but the best for my girl,” he says, pulling you to him and placing his lips to yours.
Louis:“Lou, can you please come and help me frost this cake?” you call into the living room. You hear your boyfriend huff before hearing the sound of his footsteps coming into the kitchen. “Why do you need my help for this?” he asks, taking some frosting out of the bowl and eating it. “Because it’s more fun with two,” you say, giving him a kiss as you walk past him to the fridge. You grab another knife and join Louis. He turns to you, putting icing onto your nose. “Hey!” you say, laughing. You swipe your finger into the bowl and smear it across his face. He grabs you around the waist, pulling you to him. “Cleaning up is the best part,” he says, winking, as he licks the frosting off your nose. You giggle as you reach behind you to grab a piece of cake, shoving it in Louis’ face. “My turn,” you smirk, pecking your way across his cheek. “Hey I have an idea,” Louis whispers, grabbing the bowl. “Follow me,” he says, taking your hand and leading you to the bedroom.
Liam: “Babe, what’s that smell?” you ask, looking to your boyfriend. He turns his head in the direction of the kitchen before saying, “How long has the meat been in there for?” Liam opens in the oven door, placing his hand in and pulling out the pan. The fire alarm starts to go off as clouds of black smoke billow out of the oven. You cough as you fan away the smoke and clear a space on the counter to place the turkey. “Well, this sure wasn’t planned,” Liam sighs, staring at the meat with disappointment. “The instructions my mother gave me must’ve been for a much bigger bird then,” you say, sitting down and resting your head in your hands. “Our first Thanksgiving turkey, completely ruined.” Liam walks up behind you, placing his hands on your shoulders and begins to massage you. “Well, love,” he says, leaning down to kiss your cheek. “What do you say we go out to dinner tonight?” You sigh, standing up and wrapping your arms around Liam. “Not what I had hoped for, but I guess it’s fine.” He kisses the top of your head, “Next year, love.”
