Khadijah's POV

Neighbors were now opening their doors and coming outside to watch the drama unfold. The sounds of people screaming, doors slamming, and things being thrown most have attracted them. I looked down at the ground as if it would hide me from their judgemental gaze. I noticed that some clothing had fell out of the suitcase so I bent down and hurried to put them back in. People were still staring. I had an urge to say something but I didn't want to make an ever bigger scene. I kept my mouth shut and focused on the the clothes. A few seconds later, the front desk man came over.

"There's nothing to see here, guys. Go back inside," He said.

Nobody listened. Tony kneeled down and helped me gather me things.

"Would you like for me to call you a cab?" Tony asked.

"Y-yeah sure," I quietly replied.

All my things were back in the suitcase so I zipped it up and walked down to lobby. Tony went behind the desk and dialed some numbers. I stood there awkwardly trying to get my thoughts together. An older black woman came over to me which pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Honey, I was so surprised when I heard Chris was moving his girlfriend in. There was a different girl walking out of his room every night," She said while shaking her head like she was disappointed in him.

Of course he's been cheating on me the whole time. I was swearing up and down to Kiana that Chris would never do such a thing but I was wrong. I've never felt stupider. I looked past the lady at the ground. What was I supposed to say? Thanks for telling me? I didn't want to talk, I wanted to get out of here.

"You deserve better," She stated.

Sensing the fact that I didn't want to talk, she walked away. I could still hear the murmurs of people discussing what they had witnessed. I was incredibly thankful when Tony informed me that the taxi would be here in a minute or so. I grabbed my suitcase then went outside to wait. Earlier today, the weather was very pleasant. Now, the sun had been taken over by clouds. It was unusual for Los Angeles to be windy and dark. People were obviously surprised. I could tell because the streets were completely vacant. There wasn't a soul in sight except for my taxi that had now pulled up.

"Where to?" He questioned.

"The nearest, nice hotel," I answered.

The ride was a speedy 10 minutes. I paid the man then jumped out. The hotel was more than nice, it was definitely high class.

"Hi, is there any open rooms?" I asked the woman at the desk.

"Sorry, you can only get a hotel by reservation," She responded.

My day has been terrible and this is not what I need.

"Can you please make an exception for me? Listen, I've been having the worst day. I cheated on my boyfriend, then I found out he cheated on me and then he kicked me out and I have no where to go and-" The words were flying out of my mouth. I couldn't even control what I was saying. I only stopped talking because I was almost in tears again.

The woman eyes opened widely. I'm sure she wasn't expecting for me to have a break down. She turned to her computer screen and started typing away.

"What kind of room would you like?"

I wiped my eyes to get rid of some tears. "Um, I don't know. I guess a simple one. Just one bed."

She gave me my hotel room key in exchange for my credit card. The room was $500 a night. After I paid, I went up to my room. As soon as I got in, I jumped onto the bed. I didn't take of my shoes or even turn on the lights. I just wanted to lay down. I had been sleeping all day so my chances of going to sleep now we're slim. My only option was to stare at the ceiling and reflect on the day.

What happened? Where did it all go wrong? For me, it was when I moved in with Chris. It wasn't a smart decision. I made the decision based on how I felt at that moment: in-love. I really thought I would be living every girls dream. I would live in a beautiful city, in a beautiful home, with the love of my life. I didn't think about the reality of it. I seemed to forget that Chris is a bi-polar person with a history of forgetting to take his medication. Where did it go wrong for him? He said that he'd been cheating this whole time so something must have happened while we were in different states. Thinking about Chris made me angry but I couldn't get him of my mind.

Damn, I really can't stand him. I can't believe he would kick me out like that. Atleast give me a days notice so that I can pack my things. How am I going to get my stuff back? I don't want to see Chris's face ever again. I'm too embarrassed, humiliated, and angry to go back to that condo. Also, where am I going to live? I can't afford to spend half a grand every single night, that's way too much. I don't know where life is going to take me and that's a scary realization.

Chris's POV

I wish I could go back in time. I regret throwing Khadijah out the house. If I had another chance, I would do things differently. I would've kept her in the house and spent hours beating the fuck out her. Fuck Khadijah and fuck the nigga she cheated with. How can someone cheat on me?! I'm damn near perfect. I'm handsome with money and I give bomb dick. What more did that stupid bitch want?

I went to the bedroom and grabbed more suitcases. I walked over to the closet and started putting them in the luggage. Khadijah ain't getting none of this shit back, it's all going in the garbage. After I was done with her clothes, I went to the bathroom. There, I packed away all her make-up, shampoos, and all the other extra shit she had. I never noticed how much space she took up. I'm glad she's gone.

After doing all that, I laud down on the couch and closed my eyes. My whole damn day was fucked up now. Not even two minutes later someone was banging on my door. I sighed in an annoyed manner. I ignored it at first but they kept on knocking. I decided to just open the door. Carter stood there looking all mad with Nia behind him.

"What do ya'll need?" I asked.

"Nigga, you really fucked my girl?" Carter spat.

Nia had a small smirk on her face. Of course she told him. This hoe loves drama.

"She wanted it so i'on what you mad at me for. I ain't the one cheatin' on you," I responded.

Before I could even process anything, there was a fist on my face. At first I was taken aback but I'm not 'bouta get beat up in my own home. I hit him back and I could tell it landed on directly on his face due to the pain that pulsed through my hand.

"Stop! Stop!" Nia shouted but I didn't.

All of the anger that I felt came out in the form of punches onto Carter's face. The only reason I stopped was because someone had grabbed me. It turned out to be Tony who was 10 seconds away from calling the cops. I noticed that that bitch ass nigga left. Probably 'cause he got fucked up.

"Ya'll can go back inside now," I told the crowd that was outside my room for the second time that day. They started throwing a bunch of questions at me. I swear, white people are nosy as fuck.

"Why'd you fight?"

"What was it about?"

"Was it over that girl?"

I ignored all of them and tried to close the door. I was unsuccessful as a tiny body somehow managed to squeeze through. It was Mariah.

"You're back," I stated.

"Yeah, I came back to see if Khadijah was okay but then I saw the fight. Are you okay?" She inquired.

I finally closed the door. "I'm fine," I answered.

"Let's clean your face."

Mariah grabbed me by my hand and dragged me to the kitchen.

"Where do you keep your medicine?"

"Bathroom," I replied.

She left and came back with medical supplies. She grabbed a cotton ball and wiped away the blood by my mouth. Then, she cleaned up my hand and wrapped it in some gauze.

As Mariah stood in me, I noticed her face. I knew she had a nice body but I never really looked at her. She was attractive all around: face, body, and personality-wise. Tobe honest, I'm feeling her. She was cute, she liked the same things as me, and she wasn't as annoying as Khadijah. I hope she feels the same way because I need somebody new in my life.
