The Reason Why:
*Second person pov*
"Thanks for helping us out (Y/N)." Jin smiled at you.
"Anything for you guys." You tried to say as happily as you could.
"Alright so all you'll have to do is just stand around and tell us how great we are!" Jimin joked.
You rolled your eyes, "Oh haha I'll be sure to do that."
"Thanks (Y/N)!!!" You accepted hugs from six of the guys.
"Anytime."
"Hey (Y/N) you should talk to- ouch!" You watched in confusion as Jungkook went to say something but was cut off my Namjoon.
"We'll see you tomorrow, kay?" Rap mon smiled awkwardly.
"Yep." You quickly retreated the room hurrying to the elevators.... You weren't dumb, you knew what Jungkook was going to say- who he was going to talk about. But right now you still couldn't handle that topic. So why did you agree to this in the first place?
Hoping to not draw too much attention to yourself as you left, you just had to run into the one person you couldn't bare to face.
"(Y/N)..." Yoongi ran his hand across your cheek, a sad smile on his lips.
"H-hi..." You squeaked trying to hurry away.
"Can we talk?" He grabbed your arm.
"N-no!" Before he could do or say anything else you were on your way out the door.
-one month later-
Soon it weighed down on your heart, being around all seven of the guys. It pained you majorly... You could hardly sleep anymore. They always seemed so happy, but whereas you're the very opposite.
The exchanges between you and Yoongi were nothing but professional now. And you could see it was killing him.
'Well it's his fault for ending it anyways.' Was all you could tell yourself. Maybe he should've thought more before hurting you... Year and a half, ended in a simple ten minutes. And you never even got a good explanation too. So you just distanced yourself, and it had worked for eight months too. But of course you got dragged back in because of all of Jungkook and Jimin's begging.
"Could you help me with this makeup?" Hoseok asked with a smile, "I'm not sure what to do with this."
"Of course I'll help." You giggled.
Yoongi stood in the doorway of one of the dressing room's watching you and J-Hope laughing and talking. Jealousy tugged at him, he frowned. Why did it have to be like this? He had to end it.... He loved you, so he had to protect you. So why did it still have to hurt so much?
"You're all set!" You beamed at the male in front of you.
"Thanks (Y/N)!" J-Hope pulled you into a quick, friendly hug.
A slight cough sounded from the side. You looked away from your ex.
"We're beginning..." He said to his fellow band member.
"Okay be right there." Once Yoongi left, J-Hope turned to you, "please just have a conversation with him... Not a formal, professional one. Please." His tone sounded close to a beg...
"S-sure?"
-two weeks later-
You couldn't do it.
You just couldn't take J-Hope's advice. If it even was advice... But no matter how hard you tried to be around Yoongi, you ended up running in the opposite direction. And he began to catch on.
"(Y/N)!" You turned to face your ex. With a hint of fear in your eyes you ran off, "wait!"
Slamming the door to the 'girls' bathroom you sank to the floor, tears streaming down your tears
"(Y/N)... Can we talk?" You could hear his voice ask through the door.
"Pl-please no... I-I can't handle this- you..."
"Baby I'm sor-"
"Go!!!!" You sobbed begging. You didn't want to hear his voice. His excuses. You were hurt, broken, but in love.
You heard some shuffling and eventually you knew he had left you to be by yourself. Possibly to think.
With your knees to your chest, you hid your face in them crying. Softly hiccuping as each sob escaped, you wanted nothing but to forget about him and make all the pain go away.
After what seemed like hours to you, a voice could be heard on the other side of the door, "(Y/N)?" Namjoon. "Please open the door... I need to see you're fine..."
You didn't move.
"We're all worried... I need you to open the door..." Then you heard him huff out, "God I hope she didn't do anything stupid." The door handle jiggled violently.
All you could do was stare ahead.
"Fuck why isn't she responding!?" You could hear him groan.
"W-what if she tried-"
"Don't talk like that Jungkook." Namjoon's voice was harsh.
"S-sorry. Would anyone have a key?"
Taehyung's voice could be heard, "someone has to."
"Jin and Jimin can you go check on Yoongi?"
"On it." You heard their footsteps echo farther and farther away. Did something happen with Yoongi?
Before anymore could be said, you dizzily stood to your feet taking ahold of the handle.
"(Y/N)!" Two arms were flung around you which you knew were Jungkook's.
You were scared of how bad you looked but, no one seemed to care. Everyone was much more consumed by making sure you were okay.

As your eyes slowly opened, adjusting to the light, you didn't fully recognize where you were. Though you definitely recognized the voices around you- and the all too familiar feeling of the hand intertwined with your own.
"She's waking up!" You heard Jungkook start yelling.
"Shut up pabo!" Your ex hissed, squeezing your hand.
"S-sorry..."
"Guys lets go." Shuffling was heard all around you as people exited the room- Except for one person, Yoongi.
"Are you okay?" His eyes were puffy, his hand went right to your back to help you sit up.
"M-maybe... How long was I out?"
"A couple hours."
"Oh..." You looked away from his concerned gaze.
Yoongi moved closer to you, "are you sure you're actually okay?"
"Not really. Could you just go?"
"No. Not after we talk."
"What's there to talk about? We're over."
"That's what we have to talk about."
"I'm not taking you back, you hurt me." Pain flashed through the man's eyes in front of you.
"I know but-" he sighed, "you deserve to actually know why."
"I don't want to know! I'm doing fine without you!" Trying to get up, you fell immediately back into his arms.
"Oh sure..."
"Please let go..." Tears tugged at your eyes.
"I broke up with you to make sure you stayed safe." Without a second of hesitation Yoongi said what he had to.
"W-what?"
"People were starting to figure us out... And I was scared about what the fans would do. Especially with what happened with Namjoon.... I didn't want you to go through that. I thought I'd be protecting you- but now I see, and I have seen that I've made a huge mistake. You're an absolute wreck and it's my fault... I love you and I need you back."
You stared at Yoongi shocked, "I had no clue..."
"I'm so sorry (Y/N)." He rested his forehead against yours, taking your hands into his.
"Y-you should've just told me you idiot."
"I know..."
You sighed, "I don't know what to do Yoongi... I-I can't just take you back."
"Why?"
"It's been over eight months..."
"Then we'll start over." He said bluntly.
"Y-you'd be okay with that?"
"If you are..."
Different outcomes played throughout your mind. What did you have to lose?
"We can try..."
Excitement shown in his eyes, "r-really!?"
"Yeah..."
You felt a pair of warm lips against your own. Taken back by the sudden contact, you gave in, melting into the kiss.
"I love you (Y/N), I promise I'll be better this time..."
"Okay..." You pulled him into your arms, hugging tightly.
"Let's make this work." He smiled into your neck breathing contently.
Yoongi was more than glad to know you were his again. He knew he wouldn't make the same mistake again.
