I stood in front of the large glass window in my office, sipping on a cup of coffee as I surveyed the city below. The atmosphere was tense. Mr. Louis stood not far away from me and I had my back turned to him. I could sense his nervous energy.

I gripped my coffee cup tightly, the memory of yesterday's events weighing heavily on my mind. How could Louis have treated War so roughly? Fuck it, I couldn't shake the feeling of anger that settled in my blood.

Without facing him, I broke the silence. "Louis," I called out, my voice cutting through the heavy silence like a knife.

Startled, Louis flinched at the sound of my voice, his unease evident in his trembling demeanor. "Y-yes, Mr. President?" He responded tentatively.

My jaw clenched tightly, every muscle in my body tense with restrained fury. "Do you remember who War is?" I asked, my tone clipped and controlled, though beneath the surface, a simmering anger threatened to boil over.

Yes, for sure it infuriated me to no end when someone mistreated War in such a manner. War wasn't just anyone but he is my life and I will do everything to provide him with the best possible life. Yet, to see someone dare to treat my cherished partner so callously ignited a raging fire within me.

Louis hesitated. "Um, yes, he's...your boyfriend, Mr. President," he said nervously.

My jaw clenched even tighter, the muscles in my body coiling with restrained fury. "Yes, he is," I replied tersely. "And do you remember how you treated my boyfriend yesterday?" I pressed.

Louis shifted uncomfortably. "I...I may have been...overzealous," he admitted, his voice tinged with regret.

Overzealous. The word grated against my senses, igniting a fresh wave of anger within me. "Overzealous?" I repeated incredulously. "You manhandled my boyfriend. You treated him with utter disrespect. Do you comprehend the severity of your actions?"

Louis paled under my scrutiny, realizing the gravity of the situation. "I...I apologize, Mr. President. It won't happen again," he said with a trembling voice.

I couldn't help but let out a mock chuckle at Louis's response. Clenching my fists at my sides, I fought to contain the seething rage threatening to consume me. I ran a hand over my face and then massaged the bridge of my nose in a futile attempt to alleviate the persistent ache that had settled there.

Turning to face Louis, my eyes bore into him with an intensity that made him visibly shrink back. "Louis, let's be clear. Before I hired you for this position, I made it abundantly clear that I have a boyfriend and he.is.my.top priority," I stated firmly, my tone leaving no room for misunderstanding.

I walked slowly towards him and set my cup of coffee down on the table. "I expect nothing less than the utmost respect and consideration for my boyfriend from everyone in this office, including you," I continued.

My anger pulsates in waves around us. "You crossed a line, Louis. You laid your hands on him without a second thought and that is something I will not tolerate," I said angrily.

Louis swallowed nervously, his eyes widening in fear as he realized the extent of my fury. "I...I'm sorry, Mr. President. I didn't mean to-" he stammered but I cut him off with a sharp gesture.

"I took a chance on you, Louis," I continued, my voice low and dangerous. "Not because you had experience or qualifications but because War asked me to. He heard about your situation, about how you needed this job to take care of your sick mother. He saw something in you. And I trusted his judgment. But now..." My voice trailed off, the weight of disappointment heavy in the room.

Louis's gaze fixed on the floor as he struggled to meet my eyes. "I...I'm sorry, Mr. President," he uttered.

"Apologies won't undo the damage you have caused," I snapped. "You have jeopardized more than just your job with your actions. You have jeopardized the trust and respect of someone who means everything to me."

"Mr. President, I-"

"Mark my words, Louis. I didn't fire you because War asked me not to," I stated firmly. He believes in giving people second chances, even when they don't deserve them. If you ever lay a hand on my boyfriend again or disrespect him in any way, you will find yourself out on the street faster than you can say 'unemployment'."

Louis swallowed hard. "I...I understand, Mr. President. I apologize for my behavior," he uttered.

"I expect you to apologize to my boyfriend when you see him," I instructed. "Your behavior was unacceptable and he deserves an apology. Remember, War is not to be treated lightly."

Louis nodded solemnly, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Yes, Mr. President. I-I will apologize to Mr. War," he affirmed.

"Good," I replied shortly. "Now, go. The longer you linger here, the more tempted I am to reconsider my decision."

"O-Okay, Mr. President." Louis quickly complied, practically scurrying back to his workspace. As he disappeared from view, I let out a frustrated sigh.

Damn it. His stupid behavior really tested the boundaries of my patience. If there was one thing I refused to tolerate, it was anyone threatening the well-being of the person I loved most in this world.

As I immersed myself in my work, I felt a presence approaching my desk. Glancing up, I was surprised to see Bomm standing there, holding two cups of steaming coffee, one for me and one for Peat.

"Hey, um... I brought you guys some coffee," Bomm mumbled awkwardly, setting the cups down on our table with a hesitant gesture.

I exchanged a puzzled look with Peat, both of us taken aback by Bomm's unexpected gesture. I mean, it wasn't often that Bomm went out of his way to do something nice, especially without some ulterior motive.

"Uh, thanks, Bomm," Peat replied, his tone tinged with uncertainty as he accepted the cup of coffee.

Bomm cleared his throat awkwardly, his eyes darting around as if he couldn't quite meet our gaze. "Um, I, uh, wanted to say something, War," he began, his voice wavering slightly.

I raised an eyebrow, exchanging a puzzled look with Peat. "Yeah?" I prompted.

Bomm shuffled his feet nervously, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "Look, about the whole bracelet thing...I, uh, I'm sorry," he stammered, his words coming out in a rush.

I blinked in surprise, struggling to process Bomm's sudden change in demeanor. This was the same guy who had been gloating about his bracelet just a minute ago.

"Well, you know...for, uh, assuming things," Bomm muttered awkwardly, his words trailing off into an uneasy silence.

Again, I exchanged a confusion glance with Peat, both of us struggling to make sense of Bomm's hasty apology. It was as if he was a completely different person and the whole situation was starting to feel downright bizarre.

"Um, thanks, I guess?" I replied cautiously, unsure of how to respond to Bomm's unexpected change of behavior.

Does some spirit suddenly enter his body? Gosh, I freaking didn't know.

As Bomm turned to leave, I couldn't resist blurting out the question that had been nagging at me. "Wait, Bomm," I called after him.

He paused mid-step, looking back at me with a wary expression. "Yeah?" He replied.

"Why did you buy the same bracelet as mine?" I blurted out, unable to hold back my curiosity any longer. "And accusing me of copying you?"

Bomm's eyes widened and he cleared his throat. "I, uh, well...I didn't mean it like that, War," he stammered. "I just...I thought it looked nice, okay? I mean, my parents bought it for me. I didn't realize you had one either."

I raised an eyebrow, unconvinced by his explanation. "Come on, Bomm. You can't expect me to believe that," I countered, my skepticism evident in my voice. "You have been acting weird lately."

Bomm shifted uncomfortably, his gaze flickering nervously as he struggled to come up with a response. "Look, I know it seems weird," he admitted. "But I swear, I had no idea you had the same bracelet. And as for accusing you of copying me...I guess I just got carried away."

Peat's voice was barely above a whisper as he said, "You saw War wearing it yesterday," Peat muttered quietly. "How could you not notice?"

Peat's words hung in the air, his tone laced with disbelief as he voiced the question that had been on both our minds.

"Yeah, Bomm," I added, my voice echoing Peat's incredulity. "You saw me wearing it yesterday. How could you not notice?"

"I, uh...well, I guess I was not really paying attention," Bomm mumbled.

Peat and I exchanged incredulous glances, both of us struggling to comprehend how Bomm could have missed something so obvious because he even asked me about the bracelet. It just didn't add up.

I regarded him skeptically, still not entirely convinced by his explanation but for God's sake, I never want to think about it too much. "It's just...strange, Bomm," I uttered. "But if you say it's a coincidence, then I will take your word for it."

Bomm nodded gratefully, relieving washing over his features. "Thanks, War," he replied earnestly, a hint of sincerity in his voice. "I really didn't mean to cause any trouble."

I sighed before continuing to do my work. Bomm then quickly returned to his desk. I gave him a glance. Well, it was official that Bomm was the weirdest guy in the office...

∘✧──────✧∘

"Hey, guys, how about we grab lunch together? My treat," Bomm offered, his expression earnestly as he attempted to make amends for his earlier behavior.

I exchanged a hesitant glance with Peat, unsure of how to respond. Before I could reply, Bomm's gaze turned to me, his eyes pleading. "Pleaseee, I really want to make it up to you guys, especially to you, War," he urged.

I knew I couldn't accept his offer, not when I already had plans with P'Yin. "Thanks for the offer, Bomm but I already have plans with my boyfriend," I replied apologetically, offering him a small smile.

Bomm became silent for a while, looking at me without saying anything before his expression fell slightly, disappointment flashing across his features. "Are you sure?" He said. "I really want to make it up to you."

I shook my head. "Yeah, I appreciate it, Bomm but I already promised my boyfriend we would have lunch together. He must be waiting for me right now," I reiterated, hoping he would understand.

After a moment of hesitation, Bomm nodded reluctantly, accepting my refusal with a resigned sigh. "Okay, I understand," he replied. "But promise me we will go out for lunch together another time."

"Eerr...yeah, okay," I replied, hoping to ease the tension between us.

With that, I bid farewell to Bomm and Peat, making my way to the parking lot where P'Yin's car awaited me. As I climbed into the passenger seat, P'Yin greeted me with a warm smile.

"P'Yin!" I said happily, throwing my arms around him in a tight embrace. "I miss you, phi!"

P'Yin chuckled and returned my embrace. "I miss you more, baby," he murmured softly, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of my head.

P'Yin then motioned for his driver, Mr. Kim to take us on our way. Feeling the familiar warmth of his affection wash over me, I nestled closer to P'Yin. P'Yin leaned back against the seat, pulling me into his lap, so that I could rest against his chest. With his arms wrapped securely around me, I closed my eyes, letting myself get lost in the comforting rhythm of his heartbeat.

"Are you tired, hm?" He asked gently, brushing a stray strand of hair away from my forehead.

I nodded quickly, my lips forming a slight pout as I snuggled closer to him. "Yeah, I'm really tired," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "And we also had a quick meeting before lunch."

P'Yin's fingers intertwined with mine. "Poor my baby," P'Yin cooed sympathetically, softly kissed my cheek. "I know it's been a long day but don't worry, you can get through it, okay?"

"Let's go grab a delicious lunch and fill that empty stomach of yours," he continued. "I promise it will make you feel better."

I smiled from ear to ear and gave a deep kiss on his cheek. "I love you, phi!" I said happily, making him smile and pinched my nose.

"I love you more, my sweetheart."

∘✧──────✧∘

Between mouthfuls of delicious Korean cuisine, I couldn't help but vent to P'Yin about the whole bracelet thing and Bomm's increasingly weird behavior. "Can you believe Bomm's audacity?" I exclaimed, my voice rising slightly. "First, he accuses me of copying him with the bracelet and then he has the nerve to act like it's no big deal!"

P'Yin's expression mirrored my exasperation. "I know, baby. It's extremely ridiculous," he agreed. "It's like he tries so hard to see you as his competition."

I nodded vigorously, grateful for P'Yin's understanding. "Exactly, phi!" I exclaimed, taking another bite of the meal as P'Yin fed me. "I don't know what's gotten into him lately. And then he tries to play it off like it's nothing!"

P'Yin nodded in agreement. "Perhaps he feels threatened by you, baby," he said. "After all, my baby is talented, hardworking and let's face it, absolutely perfect."

A soft chuckle escaped my lips at P'Yin's words. "You think so, phi?" I replied, a hint of amusement coloring my tone.

P'Yin reached across the table to gently squeeze my hand and flashed me an attractive smile, his eyes sparkling with affection. "Of course I do, baby," he replied. "And maybe Bomm just can't handle being in the presence of such perfection."

I couldn't help but laugh at P'Yin's words. "You are my sweetheart and to me, you are absolutely perfect, War Wanarat," he said.

A shy smile played on my lips as I felt the heat rising to my cheeks. "Aww, phi! Stop it! I'm shyyy!" I said, eliciting a hearty laugh from P'Yin.

∘✧──────✧∘

Lost in the euphoria of the sweet moments with P'Yin, I returned to my desk with a contented smile lingering on my lips. The memory of his tender kiss and "I love you" echoed in my mind, filling me with warmth and affection. I couldn't help but feel a surge of love for my amazing boyfriend!!!

As I returned to do my work, Bomm's voice jolted me from my reverie, pulling me back to the present moment. "Hey, do you both already have any ideas for the presentation Mr. New requests for the upcoming event?" Bomm asked, his tone breaking through the haze of my thoughts.

Peat rubbed his nape. "Actually, I do have an idea," he said.

Bomm's eyes lit up with excitement. "Great! Share it with us, Peat!" He exclaimed eagerly, leaning forward in anticipation.

I couldn't help but furrow my brow at Bomm's sudden enthusiasm. It seemed odd that he was so eager to hear Peat's idea, especially considering his recent behavior. Okay, he already apologized but he is still weird!!!

"I think we could-"

"Peat"

Peat paused mid-sentence, his eyes flicking to mine in confusion at my interruption. "Yeah? Why, War?" He asked innocently.

I gave him a reassuring smile. "It's probably best if you keep your idea to yourself for now," I suggested gently. "This task is meant to be tackled individually and we wouldn't want any potential issues like...someone stealing your idea," I said.

Giving a glance to Bomm, I noticed his expression shifted slightly at my words before he quickly masked it with a forced smile, I guess?

"Of course, we wouldn't want that," Bomm chimed in with a tone that was extremely bright. "Well, whenever you are ready to share, Peat, I'm all ears! Well, maybe we can help each other?"

Peat nodded in understanding, though I could detect a hint of uneasiness in his eyes. "Sure...thing," he replied, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
