Leaning against a wall in a (dress description), you watched everyone mingle before your eyes landed on Alejandro.
He was talking to Heather by the Homecoming crowns that were on a pedestal on the stage. You could easily tell he was flirting with her.
Your fists clenched.
Letting out a deep, sad sigh, your hands relaxed as your head hung.
"I should've known.. Damn it to hell.." you muttered.
"(Y/N), you okay?" you heard a voice say.
Looking up, your eyes met with your best friend's teal orbs.
"Hey, Cody.." you said, smiling slightly at the tech geek.
"What's wrong? Where's Alejandro?" he asked.
"Take a wild guess," you said before pointing to the two most evil people in school.
Cody looked where you were pointing.
His anger began to grow. "Noah was right. He's an eel dipped in grease swimming in motor oil." He then looked at you apologetically. "I'm sorry, (N/N)."
"It's not your fault, Cody. I should have known better than to agree to go with him," you sighed.
The geek bit his lip.
You took notice as he began to become thoughtful. "What?"
He smiled, holding out a hand to you. "Wanna be my date, (N/N)?"
You felt your cheeks turn pink before getting a bold idea.
Grabbing his hand, you pulled him into a kiss.
Cody eagerly kissed back, wrapping his arms around you.
You felt your heart soar as both of you kissed.
Cody pulled back after a few moments, looking into your eyes.
He gently pressed his forehead to yours.
"If I asked you to be my girlfriend," he smiled, "would you do it?"
You giggled softly.
Kissing him again, you murmured against his lips, "You bet, Codester."
