Emily was usually quite excited when she would arrive at the back to school bonfire parties in the woods. Emily was usually excited to hear the loud music and the smell of firewood. However, this time, Emily was jumbled with nerves as she slowly walked through the woods with Elena and Alaric walking a few feet behind her.

This was not a social event for Emily; it was a mission.

Emily had been dreading coming here all day long. It wasn't a plan that Emily really wanted to do. Even though they were no longer together and Stefan was now one of Klaus' minions, Emily hated that she was here to trick Stefan into a trap.

However, as Emily glanced over to her twin sister, who shot her an assuring smile, she knew she had to do this. It sounded cliché but she was doing this for the greater good.

Klaus was like a hydra, who was trying to destroy the world, the Radkova witch told herself, and they needed to cut off one of it's heads (Stefan) if they were ever going to defeat the hydra (Klaus) as a whole.

Emily forced herself to take a deep breath and calm the magic itching to come out when she spotted Stefan and Rebekah talking over by a keg of beer. Emily knew it was time. It was time to cut off the emotionless vampire's head, figuratively, of course.

The Radkova witch gave Elena and Alaric a small nod to tell them that the plan was on before Emily left the duo behind as she headed over to the two vampires.

Emily pushed all of her emotions of fear, guilt, and anxiousness down to the pit of her belly as she displayed an emotionless expression on her face before she strutted over to Stefan and Rebekah.

"Rebekah," the Radkova witch cooly murmured as she greeted the original vampire before she grabbed a red solo cup and the nozzle to the keg.

Emily knew that she needed to act like everything was fine and she wasn't conspiring against the Salvatore vampire, so why not just ignore Stefan's presence? Emily knew it would annoy Stefan and entice her ex-boyfriend to bother her like he did this morning.

A grin quickly lit up Rebekah's face when she spotted her favorite doppelganger. "Emily!" The original vampire proclaimed as she did a quick scan of the young witch's outfit. "Ooh! I love your outfit!" Rebekah cooed as she gazed her blue eyes on the red lacy top that Emily was wearing with a pair of dark jeans and ankle boots.

Emily shot the original vampire a fake smile to hide the fact that she didn't like her after what Rebekah did to Elena at the Senior Prank night. "Your dress is so cute," the Radkova witch gushed like any teenage girl would to their friends as she looked down to Rebekah's soft blue sundress.

"Emily, hi," the Salvatore vampire murmured as he quickly moved in front of Rebekah to have all of the Radkova witch's attention.

Emily secretly smirked to herself as she knew the Salvatore vampire would do just that if she ignored him. Emily's plan was working just like she needed.

"What are you doing here?" Stefan curiously asked the Radkova witch. "I thought you said you weren't coming," the Salvatore vampire recalled.

Emily carelessly shrugged her shoulders as she filled her cup up with some cheap beer from the keg. "I changed my mind," the Radkova witch muttered. Emily held out her arms as she proclaimed, "I thought I would join in on the festivities."

Stefan raised his right eyebrow at his ex-girlfriend. "The festivities? You mean smelly bodies and shitty music?" The Salvatore vampire asked.

"Why not?" Emily inquired with a lazy smile on her lips. "It's a simple occasion to get drunk," the Radkova witch stated before she tipped her cup back and downed the contents of her beer.

"We both know you aren't a beer drinker, Emily," the Salvatore vampire countered with a smirk.

The Radkova witch ignored Stefan's words as she picked the nozzle back up and poured more beer into her red solo cup. Emily looked up at Stefan with a sarcastic smile before she murmured, "maybe you don't really know me, Stefan."

"Oh, come on, babe," the Salvatore vampire cooed as he walked closer to Emily until they were practically chest to chest if it wasn't for Emily's cup between them. Stefan towered over Emily as he muttered, "I know you better than anyone."

The Radkova witch and the Salvatore vampire silently stared at each other for a tense moment before Rebekah suddenly let out a loud groan. "You guys are boring. Just make out already," Rebekah muttered before she swiftly turned around and left the two exes alone.

Stefan didn't even bother following Rebekah with his eyes as he kept his gaze locked onto the Radkova witch. "We could make out," the Salvatore vampire suggested with a smirk.

Emily rolled her green eyes as she pushed the emotionless vampire's chest with her empty hand to create some space between them. "No thanks. I'll pass," Emily muttered before she turned around and went the opposite direction that the original vampire went.

"Hey!" Stefan called out before he jogged to catch up with the Radkova witch. "Where are you going?" The Salvatore vampire asked before he murmured, "I thought we could hang out like old times." Stefan looked down to Emily with a smirk as he added, "I mean, isn't that why you chased me all summer long?"

Emily let a chuckle of disbelief as she glanced over to her ex-boyfriend. Emily wouldn't lie, it hurt how Stefan could easily joke about this past summer with everything that happened with Andie's death and the journey that Emily had to go through with her magic and to bring Elena back.

However, the Radkova witch had to continue to remind herself that this wasn't the Stefan she knows and loves. This is the emotionless one, who would stop at nothing to do what Klaus told him to do.

"I'm just trying to enjoy my last back to school party," Emily muttered as she answered her ex-boyfriend's question. Emily quickly downed half her cup of beer before she moved her gaze back over to Stefan.

"You know," Emily drawled out before she murmured, "you look like a possessive ex constantly following me around."

A deep chuckle escaped from Stefan's lips before he quickly reined it in as he replaced the smile with the straight faced expression that he had picked up lately. "I'm just keeping an eye on Klaus' pride and joy," the Salvatore vampire carelessly muttered.

Emily rolled her green eyes before she came to a stop and turned to face the Salvatore vampire. Emily downed the rest of her beer before she told Stefan, "well, keep an eye from a distance." Emily roughly pushed the red solo cup into Stefan's chest before she added, "I'm going to go have some fun."

The Radkova witch took her chance to escape from Stefan when he went to grab the plastic cup before it could drop down to the ground. While Stefan was distracted, Emily quickly dashed towards a crowd of dancing teenagers and squeezed her way through.

Emily glanced over her shoulder to see if Stefan was following her. However, the Radkova witch only found Stefan leaning against a tree with his arms crossed over his chest and a wide smirk displayed across his lips.

Emily shook her head in amusement when she realized that Stefan was listening to what she told him; to keep an eye on her from a distance. While it was annoying to know that Stefan wasn't going to leave her alone, Emily figured that it was a good thing this one time. It meant that Stefan wasn't suspicious of her plan and it wasn't going to be hard to trap Stefan if he was only focusing on her.

The Radkova witch shot Stefan a smirk of her own before she turned around only to hear her name being called, "Emily! Over here!"

Emily furrowed her brows in confusion as she tried to find the location of the voice before Emily chuckled when she spotted a group of her classmates surrounding a fold up table with solo cups, beer, and ping pong balls.

Emily usually wouldn't go off track during a plan but she figured this would make Stefan less suspicious if she went and enjoyed herself. Emily didn't like being around emotionless Stefan, so if she would have led him somewhere private right away, the Salvatore vampire would have definitely realized that she was planning something.

Emily ignored the feeling of the Salvatore vampire staring at her as she headed towards the game of beer pong. Emily realized that it was a few of Tyler's teammates from the football team; Charles, Max, and Daniel.

"Hello, boys," Emily murmured with a grin as she greeted the three teenagers. Emily nodded her head to the table that was all ready to be played before she asked, "what's going on here?"

"We were supposed to be playing but Tyler is nowhere to be seen," Max complained as he rolled his blue eyes.

"Have you seen him?" Daniel asked the Gilbert girl. "You guys are usually attached at the hip," the brunette teenager joked.

Emily released a small chuckle. "No, I haven't seen him tonight," the Radkova witch uttered as she shook her head. "I think he said he was staying at home," Emily lied to the football players. The last thing they all needed was for the trio to go looking for Tyler only to find Caroline drugging him with vervain.

Max let out a loud huff of annoyance. "I'm going to kill Tyler when I see him," the blonde teenager grumbled.

"This night doesn't have to a complete bust," Charles told his two friends before he turned his attention to the Gilbert girl. "You wanna join us?" The football player asked Emily.

The Radkova witch glanced back to make sure Stefan was still there (he was) before she turned back to the three teenagers with a grin. "I'd love to play," Emily murmured.

Charles grinned back at the Gilbert girl while Max and Daniel high-fived one another after knowing that their set-up of beer pong wouldn't be going to waste.

"What are the teams?" Emily curiously asked as she moved closer to the table.

Max held his hands up in innocence as he told the Gilbert girl, "ladies' choice."

Emily silently glanced at each of the three teenagers for a few seconds before she made her decision. "I'll go with Charles," the Radkova witch announced as she wrapped her fingers around Charles' bicep with a grin.

Max and Daniel whooped and hollered as they celebrated before Max turned to the Gilbert girl with a smirk. "It's your funeral," the blonde teenager taunted.

Emily chuckled as she playfully rolled her green eyes at the competitive teen before she turned her attention to her partner for the beer pong match.

"You know, I was really hoping that you would pick me," Charles announced as he led the Gilbert girl to their side of the table with a hand lightly resting on Emily's lower back.

"You better watch it," Daniel called out from his and Max's side of the table. "You're flirting with Tyler's girl," Daniel reminded his teammate with a wide smirk displayed across his lips.

Emily released a loud groan. "Please, don't," the Radkova witch begged.

Emily, of course, loved Tyler to death as a best friend but she didn't like to be reminded of the Lockwood hybrid's little crush on her, especially when Tyler was currently feeling quite protective and possessive over her with her blood in his system.

"Leave her alone," Charles told his football teammates as he lazily slung his arm over the Gilbert girl's shoulder. Charles turned Emily away from the table as he kept his arm secured around the Gilbert girl before he asked her, "you ready to kick some ass?"

Emily chuckled as she wrapped her left arm around Charles' waist before she nodded her head. "Let's do it," the Radkova witch murmured as she briefly squeezed Charles' hip.

The game of beer pong soon began. Emily got the lucky opportunity to go first since she had never played with the trio of football players. Emily ended up landing the ping pong ball right into the cup, which forced Max to down the beer. That first shot was only the beginning of Emily and Max's rivalry throughout the match.

The Radkova witch found herself glancing over to Stefan a few times during the first half of the match to find the Salvatore vampire always smirking her way. Emily would always roll her green eyes at Stefan before she would be pulled back into the game by Charles wrapping his arm around her.

Emily was honestly surprised by how much she was enjoying herself over the course of the ping pong match. Emily felt like a normal teenager with Max taunting her, Daniel laughing at her missed shots, and Charles cheering her on.

The ping pong match continued on for twenty minutes or so before the two teams were all tied up with only one cup each and, of course, it was Emily versus Max for the final point to win the game.

While Max and Daniel were hyping each other up by making loud jock noises that the Radkova witch didn't understand, Charles was standing behind Emily with his hands massaging her shoulders. "You got this," Charles whispered to the Gilbert girl, "you make this and we're champions."

Emily wouldn't lie, she was feeling quite tipsy from all of the beer in her system. She confirmed that herself when she leaned against Charles' chest with a giggle, something sober Emily would have never done with Tyler's teammate.

"Champions of the world," the Radkova witch tipsily whispered mostly to herself.

"Champions of the world!" Charles shouted the Gilbert girl's words loudly through the woods as he gave Emily's shoulders a light squeeze.

"Let's win this!" Emily cheered as she got hyped up from Charles' shouts. Emily grabbed her ping pong ball from the table before she focused her gaze onto the two teenagers in front of her. "You ready to lose yet?" Emily teasingly asked.

"In your dreams, Gilbert!" Max exclaimed as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Well, I must be asleep right now, then," Emily murmured as she looked over to Max and Daniel with a taunting smirk on her face.

The Radkova witch moved backwards a few steps until she was standing behind the line in the dirt before she positioned her ping pong ball to take her shot. Emily took a deep breath before she tossed the ball across the table.

Emily held her breath as she watched the ping pong ball soar through the air before the small ball plopped right into the plastic red solo cup.

"Yes!" Emily loudly cheered before she quickly turned around and threw her arms around Charles' neck. "We did it!" Emily shouted against the brunette teenager's chest.

Charles squeezed the Gilbert girl's waist as he exclaimed, "that was all you!"

Meanwhile on the other side of the table, the two teammates weren't exactly pleased with the result of the game. "It was beginner's luck at most," Max grumbled as he glared at the two winners of the ping pong match.

Daniel was the calmer of the two as he released a chuckle before he tossed his arm over Max's shoulder. "Let's go get a losers' drink," Daniel told his teammate.

Emily giggled in amusement as she watching a grumbling Max get pulled away by a grinning Daniel. The Radkova witch had completely forgotten about the blonde's competitiveness. It was the reason why he was known as Mad Max on the field.

The Radkova witch watched the two losers of the ping pong match disappear in the crowd before Emily turned around to face her teammate. "Well, that was fun," Emily giggled.

Charles grinned as he nodded his head. "Tyler's got to start bringing you to parties with us," the brunette teenager exclaimed. "You are way more fun and prettier to play with," Charles murmured as he wrapped his arms lowly around Emily's waist.

Emily only had the chance to tipsily giggle at Charles before someone appeared beside her and tightly gripped her wrist. Emily flinched at the rough touch before she rolled her green eyes when she looked up and saw the Salvatore vampire.

"We are in the middle of a conversation here, Stefan," the Radkova witch grumbled.

The Salvatore vampire smirked down at Emily before he looked over to the human teenager with a glare. "No, it seems like someone's trying to get in your pants," Stefan grunted.

Poor Charles was a stuttering mess as he tried to apologize before Emily placed her hand onto his lower arm to calm Charles down before he bursted a blood vessel.

"Ignore him," Emily muttered before she shot Charles a small smile. The Radkova witch leaned up before she placed a kiss onto Charles' cheek.

"I'll see you later," Emily told the brunette teenager before she turned around and forcefully slammed her shoulder into Stefan's chest as she walked past him.

"Emily!" The Salvatore vampire shouted after the young witch but Emily ignored him as she knew he would fall her, anyway. Stefan was falling right into her trap without even realizing.

Emily swiftly snatched up a bottle of tequila from a large table that was covered in different types of alcohol before the Radkova witch headed further into the woods. Emily figured it would be the perfect place since everyone was focused on the bonfire tonight and not the surrounding wooded area.

Emily took large gulps from the tequila bottle as she lazily strolled through the woods with the Salvatore vampire's heavy footsteps falling her from behind. Emily honestly had no set location in mind before she spotted a familiar spot ahead of her.

The Radkova clumsily jogged across the clearing with only tripping a few times before Emily stood in front of a large oak tree. "I can't believe this is still standing," Emily giggled as stared up at the planks of wood on the tree that led to a treehouse.

Emily slowly ran her fingers across one of the planks that counted as a ladder as she murmured, "this is where I had my first kiss."

Emily giggled as she glanced back to the Salvatore vampire over her shoulder. "This was always known as the make out spot in junior high," Emily told the uninterested Stefan before a wide grin took over her face as an idea came to mind.

"I wonder if mine and Lucy's names are still carved on the wall," the Radkova witch murmured as she spoke her idea out loud.

Emily turned back to the large oak tree before she brought the bottle of tequila up to her lips. Emily took one last swig of the clear alcohol before she carelessly tossed it onto the ground. The Radkova witch pulled her jeans further up her hips before Emily stepped up onto the first plank on the tree.

"Emily..." The Salvatore vampire warned the young witch once he realized what her plan was. "Get down," Stefan ordered.

Emily ignored the emotionless vampire as she carefully climbed up each plank of wood that led to the treehouse. "I just want to check something real quick," Emily mumbled.

The Radkova witch, of course, knew this was just her elaborate plan to trick Stefan but she was really starting to regret wearing heeled boots instead of sneakers right now. Emily could only hope that the makeshift ladder didn't give out on her or that would be very embarrassing.

Stefan took a step closer to the tree as he stared up at the Radkova witch with a frown. "You're going to fall," Stefan warned his ex-girlfriend.

"It's not even that high!" Emily exclaimed before she looked up to the eight steps that she still had to climb before she could reach the treehouse.

"Emily, get down right now!" The Salvatore vampire shouted from the base of the tree before he threatened, "or I'm going to force you down."

Emily glanced over her shoulder and down to the frowning vampire before she released a loud giggle. "How about you come get me and climb us to the top," the Radkova witch suggested before she murmured, "we could kill two birds with one stone."

Stefan rolled his green eyes up at the Radkova witch. "You're killing me," the Salvatore vampire grunted as he gripped the first plank before he used his enhanced speed to climb up the tree. Stefan stopped once he was right behind Emily before he tightly held onto her waist to make sure she wouldn't fall.

Emily giggled as she relaxed back against the Salvatore vampire's chest before she turned her head to look up at Stefan with a soft smile. "No matter how much you try to act like you don't care about me, you'll always show it in some way," Emily whispered.

Stefan frowned as he stared down at the Radkova witch before he forcefully shook his head. "Let's just get this over with," the Salvatore vampire grumbled.

Stefan wrapped his arms around Emily's waist before he used his enhanced speed to climb the rest of the way up the tree. The Salvatore vampire tightened his grip on Emily before he took a large leap through the entrance of the treehouse.

Emily immediately pushed herself out of Stefan's grip once she felt her feet firmly plant down onto the wooden flooring of the treehouse. A grin swiftly took over Emily's face as she began to look around with old memories flashing through her head.

"This place is so old," Emily giggled as she ran her fingers across a wooden bench with cushions that looked like they belonged in the eighties. "I'm pretty sure Jenna told me about her making out with Logan Fell here when she was younger," Emily recalled.

The Salvatore vampire wasn't interested at all in Emily's memories as he impatiently tapped his boot against the wooden planks that made up the flooring of the treehouse. "Come on," Stefan ordered, "hurry this up."

Emily didn't even spare Stefan a glance as she completely ignored him in favor for exploring every inch of the treehouse. "I didn't even think this place was still standing," Emily murmured, "I would have thought the council would have destroyed by now."

For the next couple of minutes, the Radkova witch continued to gush about the treehouse to the uninterested Stefan before Emily squealed when she spotted what she was looking for.

"Here it is!" Emily exclaimed as she found her and Lucy's name in a uneven heart carved by the pocket knife that Lucy had stolen from her older brother in eighth grade. It was carved beside the single window in the treehouse.

Emily gently ran her fingertips across the rough lettering as she quietly recalled, "I was so sad when Lucy moved away."

The Salvatore vampire let out a combination of a snort and a chuckle. "It couldn't have been that good of a kiss if she never came back," Stefan mused.

Emily looked over to the Salvatore vampire before she rolled her green eyes. "We were only teenagers, regular people," the Radkova witch reminded Stefan. "She had to leave with her parents," Emily mumbled as she defended her first kiss.

The Salvatore vampire released a loud scoff. "You would have never been happy in a relationship with a regular person," Stefan proclaimed as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Emily silently stared at the Salvatore vampire with a lazy smirk playing on her lips. "You sound a little jealous over there," Emily murmured.

Stefan rolled his green eyes. "I couldn't care less if Klaus came and killed you right now," the Salvatore vampire exclaimed as he tried to counter what Emily believed.

Emily's smirk on her face grew wider as she slowly walked backwards to the entrance of the treehouse. "You wanna test that?" The Radkova witch asked as she taunted the Salvatore vampire.

Stefan heavily dropped his arms down to his sides as he reminded the Radkova witch, "you're drunk." The Salvatore vampire took a step towards the brunette girl as he told her, "stop messing around, Emily."

"Why?" Emily giggled as she took another step backwards, "are you scared you're going to start caring again?"

Stefan countered the Radkova witch as he took a step towards her. "I'm being serious, Emily," the Salvatore vampire warned the brunette girl.

"So am I," Emily whispered as she stared into the Salvatore vampire's green eyes before she took the final step out of the treehouse and went free falling straight down.

The Radkova witch, of course, knew this was all part of her plan but Emily couldn't help but scream as her body began to head to the wooded floor without knowing if she was going to survive it or not.

Emily's arms and legs flailed through the air for what felt like hours for the Radkova witch before she suddenly felt a pair of arms slot behind her head and legs in a cradled position.

Emily looked up before a grin took over her face when she found herself staring into the Salvatore vampire's green eyes. "Huh... Look at that," Emily mused before she whispered, "I told you you still care about me."

Stefan swallowed thickly as he stared down at the Radkova witch before he forced himself to look away from her soft gaze. Stefan carefully helped Emily stand on her two feet before he whispered, "let's get you home."

"Stefan..." The Radkova witch gently called out as she reached for the vampire's hand.

The Salvatore vampire immediately looked up to Emily, without realizing how fast he was reacting to her saying his name. Stefan only had the chance to connect his green eyes to Emily's before he suddenly felt unconsciousness enter his body.

Emily released a heavy breath that she didn't realize she was holding as she watched the Salvatore vampire drop down to the ground before Alaric appeared in front of her with a mini crossbow in his hands. The Radkova witch slumped her body against her knees and closed her eyes once her job, something she hated to do in the first place, was finally done.

The vampire hunter placed a gentle hand onto Emily's shoulder as he asked her, "you okay?"

The Radkova witch silently nodded her head from her bent over position before she pushed her body up to look at Alaric. "Yeah, I'm fine," Emily mumbled as she shot the vampire hunter a fake smile to hide the turmoil she felt.

Alaric gazed at the teenage girl with a sad smile. "You did a really good job, Em," the vampire hunter murmured as he comforted the young witch. Alaric brought Emily into a side embrace as he assured her, "I know it was hard for you to do that but you did good."

Emily wrapped her arm around Alaric before she gave the vampire hunter's waist a short squeeze. "Thanks, Ric," the Radkova witch murmured.

Tonight was definitely something that Emily didn't want to remember. It was nothing but a whirlwind of emotions. It pained Emily to be that close to Stefan and not being able to show Stefan the love she had for him. The worst part was the fear that Emily had for a brief second that Stefan wasn't going to catch her from her death. It pained Emily to even have that thought about someone who she cared and loved more than anything.

The Radkova witch leaned into Alaric's comfort for a minute or so as her sobering thoughts caught up to her before Emily suddenly realized someone was missing. Emily hurriedly pulled away from the vampire hunter as she asked, "where's Elena?"

"Oh, she left a few minutes before you came out here," Alaric explained as he waved his index finger around the surrounding area. "Blondie stabbed Damon and left," the vampire hunter recalled, "I told Elena to take him home while I handed this."

Emily released a sigh of relief after knowing that nothing happened to Elena. While the Radkova witch wasn't cheering that Damon got stabbed, she was just happy that it wasn't a very human Elena who the original vampire went after.

"Well, this has been fun," Emily sarcastically muttered as she shot the vampire hunter a teasing grin before Emily announced, "but I'm ready for bed."

Alaric lightly chuckled as he patted the Radkova witch on the shoulder. "Let's get you home," Alaric murmured before he bent down to pick up the unconscious vampire.

The vampire hunter and the Radkova witch began to silently make their way around the edge of the woods. It was to avoid any drunk teenagers from seeing them carrying Stefan like a murdered body.

It took about ten minutes before they reached Alaric's tan SUV. Emily quickly jogged over to the vehicle before she opened the trunk. Emily moved to the side before Alaric shoved the unconscious vampire into the back of the car.

Emily made sure Alaric had everything under control with fitting the Salvatore vampire in the trunk before the Radkova witch walked around the SUV to climb into the passenger seat.

Emily closed the door behind her and relaxed into the leather seats before she let out a heavy breath. It wasn't until now that Emily realized how exhausted she was from playing beer pong, climbing up a treehouse, and falling out of it all while being on the far end of the tipsy side.

The Radkova witch took a deep breath to calm her body before she reached into her pocket for her cell phone to let Elena know that she was on her way. However, Emily swiftly flinched when she suddenly heard Alaric yelling out her name from outside the SUV.

"Emily!" The vampire hunter shouted as he pounded his fists against the driver's side door, "Emily!"

The Radkova witch's fight or flight instincts quickly switched on when she turned towards Alaric's shouts and saw flames surrounding the SUV.

"Oh, my God," Emily gasped before she hurriedly turned to the passenger door and jiggled the handle to escape from the building fire heading straight towards the car.

Alaric jogged around the SUV until he was staring at the Radkova witch through the window. "Emily!" The vampire hunter shouted, "open the door!"

Emily roughly pushed and pulled on the door handle with all of her might before she yelled, "it's stuck!" The Radkova witch looked at Alaric through the window as she told him, "it won't open from this side! You have to break through!"

Alaric quickly nodded his head in agreement before he ran off to go find something to break the window.

Meanwhile, Emily could feel her body violently shaking as her mind realized the danger she was in. The fire was constantly becoming bigger around the ticking time bomb that was Alaric's car.

"Come on, Emily," the Radkova witch whispered to herself as she glanced around the SUV, "think of something."

Emily's green eyes soon widened when she came up with an idea. "Fight fire with fire," Emily muttered before she pressed her palms onto the window. The Radkova witch forced the heat to move through her body before she flowed the flames against the glass.

Emily did that for a solid two minutes before the Radkova witch frowned when she pulled her hands away and saw that the glass wasn't even cracking.

"Something's wrong," Emily whispered to herself before she swiftly gasped when she felt a gust of wind behind her. The Radkova witch quickly turned around but there was only an empty backseat.

While Emily couldn't see anything, she could definitely feel someone there. "You are making a huge mistake!" The Radkova witch shouted to the invisible being.

Emily's attention was quickly pulled away from the backseat when she heard something banging against the window. Emily turned around to find Alaric slamming the end of a lacrosse stick against the glass.

Emily didn't feel relieved or feel like she was being rescued, though. The Radkova witch knew it wasn't going to break; she just had that feeling. Instead of waiting for nothing to happen, Emily turned back around to face the empty backseat.

"Reveal yourself!" The Radkova witch shouted as she brought icicles from her fingertips.

Emily was running out of ideas on how she was supposed to get out of metal death trap, so she began grabbing each icicle from her hand and throwing them across the backseat hoping that it would reveal something, anything to her.

Emily clumsily climbed her way to the backseat before she started to feel around the vehicle with her icy palms to find anything that didn't belong. The Radkova witch did that for a minute or so before Emily gasped when she felt her fingers wrap around something that felt like a wrist.

"Reveal yourself now!" Emily shouted.

The Radkova witch conjured the ice in her veins to cover her whole arm to hopefully activate something to make the invisible being's body appear in front of her.

However, Emily wasn't counting on the smoke from the fire reaching the SUV getting in her way. The Radkova witch's magic began to flicker each time that Emily would have to lose concentration to heave out a thick cough.

Emily could barely breathe through the smoke but she refused to give up. She had to stop whoever was doing this.

The backseat of Alaric's SUV was practically covered all in ice. Emily would focus on the icicles flowing out of her arm before it would crack into tiny pieces when the Radkova witch would unfocus her magic. It was an endless cycle as Emily tried to stay conscious through all of the smoke.

While the Radkova witch was focused on trying to reveal the invisible being, Stefan happened to wake up from his vervain induced sleep from Emily's erratic icicles reaching him in the trunk of the SUV. The Salvatore vampire woke up confused and disoriented before he zeroed in on Emily, who was struggling to breathe.

Stefan didn't even think twice before he used his enhanced strength to slam his boots against the door of the trunk until it forcefully flew across the wooded area.

"Emily..." The Salvatore vampire called out just as he fell back on the tan carpet in the SUV with a groan. While Stefan was awake, the vervain was still doing a number to his body.

The Radkova witch quickly turned her head when she heard her name being called before Emily gasped when she saw freedom right in front of her.

Emily knew she was fighting a losing battle with whoever was causing all of this. Emily had the feeling that the invisible being was a witch or was at least using some very strong magic.

While Emily herself was a powerful witch, she knew she wouldn't be able to win; at least not before the car would explode from the flames surrounding the vehicle.

The Radkova witch hated not knowing who was attacking or trying to kill her. However, Emily would rather be alive, so she hurriedly climbed over the back of the backseat to reach the trunk.

Emily had just crawled over Stefan's unconscious body and towards the opening hole in the SUV before Emily suddenly grunted when she felt something pulling her back, trying to keep her in the car.

The Radkova witch wasn't going to let that stop her, though. Emily conjured icicles from her hands to tightly grip onto the flooring of the trunk before she began to force her body to move forward.

Emily was using all her might to pull herself out of the SUV. The Radkova witch didn't know how much more strength she had left in her to keep fighting the invisible being through all of the smoke and fire.

All the angels and Gods must have been watching Emily struggle before they decided to help her in the form of Alaric Saltzman. Emily sighed in relief when she watched the vampire hunter suddenly appear in front of her.

Emily quickly dissolved the sharp icicles from her hands before she reached out to the vampire hunter, who swiftly grabbed ahold of her wrists to pull her out of the burning vehicle.

"Hurry up before it blows!" Alaric shouted to the Radkova witch as he helped her stand up on her feet. "You need to run!" The vampire hunter exclaimed as he pushed on Emily's shoulder to get her away from the vehicle.

Emily instantly fought against Alaric's pushing as her gaze went back to the trunk, where the unconscious vampire was laying. "We have to help him! Help me!" The Radkova witch told Alaric before she began pulling on Stefan's ankles.

The Radkova witch and the vampire hunter quickly worked together to pull Stefan out of the trunk. The duo slung Stefan's arms over their shoulders before they hobbled away from the flaming car as fast as they could. The group escaped just in time before Alaric's SUV suddenly exploded.

Emily loudly gasped when she felt her body sling up into the air before she roughly dropped down to the wooded ground. The Radkova witch was disoriented as she glanced around her surroundings before Emily's green eyes locked onto Stefan, who lying beside her and was staring right at her.

Emily wanted to say something positive but no words could escape from her mouth. The Radkova witch honestly had no idea what the hell just happened.

Emily thought the craziness in her life was done for the night after she trapped the Salvatore vampire. It almost made Emily laugh because, of course, something could make her night worse.

The Radkova witch could only hope that this was a single incident and nothing was going to arise from it. They definitely had enough on their plate as it is with the two original siblings, an emotionless vampire, and a sired hybrid.
