The sound of locks clicking open was heard before the door opened, revealing a luxurious condo owned by none other than Happy Hogan.
Y/n: "Holy-!"
A loud alarm blares across the condo, causing everyone to cover their ears to protect themselves from the incessant noise. May then goes to a control panel by the door and manages to quickly shut off the alarm.
Peter: "Argh! Never going to get used to that sound"
Y/n: "How the hell did you afford this with YOUR salary?"
Happy: "How much do you think I'm paid?"
Y/n: "Less than this that's for sure"
Peter: "I think this place is cool, AND we can still travel to Midtown for our Senior Year"
The beeping was then heard in the living room, when Peter and Y/n looked over, they saw a robotic arm by the table with a hat that said 'DUNCE' running down to the base. The robot turned and waved to the new visitors.
Peter: "Is that a...?"
Y/n: "Why is that robot look familiar?"
Happy: "That's DUM-E, one of Tony's robot helpers"
Peter: "Cool~"
The robot, now named DUM-E, hummed proudly before proceeding to roam around the apartment.
May: "This looks nice and...safe"
Happy: "Welcome to the spiritual oasis"
Happy then placed the luggage in a separate room before heading back to point at the TV.
Happy: "You like Donkey Kong Jr.?"
Day quickly turned to night, and Peter and May took the time to get used to their new home as Y/n continued his duties as Spider-man despite moving away from his previous base of operations.
With a sigh, Peter plops down on the couch as he video chats with MJ.
Peter: "Did you send in your applications yet?"
MJ's voice: "I literally just finished my MIT one. You?"
Peter: "Same. Imagine if we both got in?"
MJ's voice: "And Y/n?"
Peter: "He's still a bit busy being, you know"
MJ's voice: "Right..."
Peter: "But I think I have a clue about what college he wants to go to"
MJ's voice: "Where?"
Peter then briefly sits up, grabbing an application from the coffee table before laying back down and showing it to MJ.
Peter: "Good ol' Empire State University"
MJ's voice: "Oh...why there?"
Peter: "Because it's his dream college. Plus it's the closest to his city as far as being Spider-man goes"
MJ's voice: "Have you tried talking to him about other colleges?"
Peter: "I tried, but the constant reply he gives me is 'Do they have a branch close to Manhattan?'"
MJ's voice: "Gosh...it's like he's forgetting about his life as a high school student"
Peter: "Actually...I think Spider-man IS his life now"
MJ's voice: "What do you mean?"
Peter: "...Ever since his identity got revealed, it's as if the line that blurs Y/n L/n and Spider-man, disappeared"
MJ's voice: "But that's just insane!"
Peter: "And in a way, I kinda get it. Everyone knows who you are, so the feeling of Spider-man being an extraordinary person is sort of gone, now that everyone knows Spider-man is just a teenager with powers"
MJ's voice: "You think all the attention is getting to him?"
Peter: "He could be...I mean, it's the first time he's going on patrol without his mask on. Something about 'seeing if it hits different' sort of experiment he's doing"
Peter then sets the application aside before changing the subject.
Peter: "How's it going with the others, they decided on where they wanna go yet?"
MJ's voice: "Hmm...Betty and Gloria are having trouble with what they're gonna get for college, Miles is still looking at a scholarship in New Jersey, and Gwen's looking to apply to England"
Peter: "Seems like everyone is going to different places for college"
MJ's voice: "Yeah...Everyone except..."
Peter: "Y/n..."
The next day, Midtown High can be seen being bombarded by reporters and photojournalists. Peter can be seen carrying his backpack as he walks with MJ along with the rest, making their way to school to embark on their Senior year in High school.
Reporter #1: "We're covering the first day of senior year for Midtown High's most famous student, Y/n Parker! Go get 'em, Tiger! Or should I say, Spider? oh- There he is!"
Reporters and journalists quickly turn to the swinging Y/n, arriving in his civilian attire as he touches down before catching up with Peter and the others.
Reporters: "Spider-man! Spider-man!"
Spider-man Fan #1: "Spider-man! We love you!"
Spider-man Fan #2: "Give us a smile, Y/n!"
Spider-Man Fan #3: "Do a flip!"
Y/n: "Sorry, I really gotta head to class. Peter, wait up!"
Y/n runs past several reporters, making it to the front where Y/n latches onto Peter by tossing his arm over his shoulder.
Y/n: *sigh* "Shit...I can't believe we're making it to senior year. Can you?"
Peter: "With the amount of crazy stuff that's happened to us, I can't believe that we even got to move up from freshman year"
Suddenly, a police officer waves their handheld metal detector in front of Y/n, causing the two to stop as Y/n is frisked.
Y/n: "A little excessive don't you think?"
The police then grabbed Y/n by the arm before escorting him inside the school.
Y/n: "Guys, seriously, this isn't necessary! I have to wait for my friends"
Peter: "Just go on ahead, we'll see you inside"
Random Student: "Who are you?"
Peter: "I'm Peter Parker. I'm Y/n Parker's best-"
Flash: "-Y/n Parker's best friend"
Flash then appears behind Peter, defending him from their heckling.
Flash: "You come at my boy? You come at Flash Thompson. You wanna read about our inspiring friendship? You can now from my new book, Flashpoint"
Flash then presents the crowd with a book, with his face and title displayed boldly on the cover.
Flash: "One spider, two hearts, a million crazy-ass memories. Check it out"
Heading upstairs to his first class, Y/n was surprised to see his teachers, Roger Harrington, and Julius Dell, along with the school coach, Andre Wilson. They all stood side-by-side as they greeted their returning student.
Julius: "Y/n. We would love to...Welcome you back...To Midtown High. Where we shape heroes"
Harrington: "Uh-huh"
Julius then points at a nearby stall entitled the same way. It contains lots of memorabilia related to Spider-Man.
Coach Wilson: "Or murderers"
Julius: "Stop it"
Y/n: "Murderers?"
Harrington: *salutes* "It's an honor to serve you...Sir"
Coach Wilson: "It's not! Mysterio was right"
Harrington: "Stop. We don't...that's all. Some of the students put this together for you"
Roger then points to the memorabilia, presenting it proudly to which Y/n happily obliged and walked over.
Coach Wilson: "No. You did that"
Mr. Harrington: "I helped a little bit"
Coach Wilson: "I tried to stop him so many times, but you piled through. He did all of that"
Julius: "You did a great job. I hope you have time to stop and check it out...And feel free to walk...Or, or swing through the hallway...Or crawl on the ceiling to avoid everybody"
Harrington: "We all know you can do it"
Y/n: *light chuckle* "Thank you, Mr. Harrington. I appreciate the notion"
Coach Wilson: "You know what you did"
Right as Y/n goes to his locker, he stops. Causing his shoes to spike at his sudden halt.
Mr. Harrington: "Stop it. You're embarrassing yourself"
Coach Wilson: "You know what you did!"
Mr. Harrington: "He's a conspiracy theorist"
Y/n: "...Coach Wilson..."
Slowly, Y/n begins to reach into his pocket before pulling out the glasses that were used to control the E.D.I.T.H drones. Seeing this, Harrington and Julius move back and push Coach Wilson forward.
Y/n: "Do you know what MURDER looks like, up close?"
Y/n places the glasses over his eyes before looking over at Coach Wilson, causing him and the other teachers to gulp under their breath.
With a scoff, Y/n breaks as he laughs wholeheartedly at his display.
Y/n: "Ahh...I'm just kidding, they're just prescriptions"
The teachers then breathed a sigh of relief, Coach Wilson especially as he felt a bead of sweat drip down the side of his face.
Y/n: "Or are they?"
This caused the teachers to tense once again.
Y/n: *chuckles* "I'm kidding! I don't need prescriptions, lighten up!"
Having enough fun with his teachers, Y/n makes his way to the hallway where students begin to take pictures of Y/n, while some opt to record him as he walks by.
With a ring of the bell, every student began to exit their class as the school day ended. Peter begins to rendezvous with MJ as Gwen, Miles, Betty, and Gloria all catch up to the two as they exit the school.
Betty: "Man, this year is so wild!"
Gloria: "I can't even turn one corner without seeing a poster of Y/n, or hearing about Y/n"
Gwen: "Speaking off, where is he?"
Miles: "Yeah, I haven't seen him at all during class"
Before they could get an answer, everyone received a notification on their phone. Inspecting their device, they saw that Y/n had messaged them simultaneously, sending them to a location in the Upper East Side.
Peter: "I guess we're about to find out"
What Peter and the others didn't expect was them standing inside the elevator, watching the floor counter tick up.
Betty: *excited* "Oh my god, I can't believe we're heading up!"
Gwen: "I'm surprised we were let in so easily"
The elevator then chimes, signaling the arrival of their destination.
???: "You're here!"
Y/n then falls from the ceiling, scattering several spray cans, before shooting up excitedly.
Y/n: "You guys made it!"
Peter heads over to stand beside Y/n as MJ and the rest look around the large spacious room of...
The Avengers Tower
MJ: "Y/n, why did you bring us here"
Gloria: "More importantly..."
Gwen: "How did you get this building, all to yourself!?"
Y/n *shrugs* "It's not that hard. Intercept a few calls and transactions, and delay a few papers. I technically don't own this building, but no one else does, so logically speaking I own it seeing as I'm the one occupying it"
Miles: "That sounds like several felonies all in one"
Peter: "Y/n, not that we're stoked to be here but-"
MJ: "We're concerned about your future..."
Y/n: "What's there to be concerned about?"
Gwen: "Y/n, everyone here has been working hard, thinking about their future"
Peter: "You think that maybe...YOU should think about yours too?"
Everyone stood side-by-side as they stood around Y/n.
Y/n: *sighs* "What's the point?"
Y/n plays with the spray can that is in his hand before facing his friends.
Y/n: "All of you are moving out of New York, going to different colleges out of state, while I'm just...here"
Peter: "Y/n, you know you don't HAVE to stay in New York"
MJ: "You can explore around, come with us to MIT, or Boston, and have a change of scenery"
Y/n: "You know I can't..."
Despite their pressing for Y/n to join them in searching for a college, Y/n's unwavering dedication couldn't allow him to look somewhere else.
Y/n then shook his head, exchanging his somber look for one of excitement.
Y/n: "Enough of this mopey shit. Come on, this is our LAST year in Midtown. We gotta make a lot of memories before it ends. Well...more, POSITIVE once. What did you say?"
Y/n looks to his friends, a can of spray paint still in hand as he looks around with a contagious amount of optimism.
Gloria: "...I would enjoy some memories when we're NOT being attacked by super villains"
Everyone then looked at one another before nodding, collectively taking up Y/n's offer.
If they were to spend the last days as Seniors, they would have to enjoy it in the best, memorable way possible.
Gwen: "BUT!"
Gwen cuts through the chorus of cheer before walking up to Y/n and pointing a finger closely to his face.
Gwen: "When we're done having fun. YOU, focus on your future. Got it?"
Y/n: *scoff* "Okay, Mom..."
Gwen then pinched Y/n's ear before pulling him down.
Gwen: "I'm serious! I don't want that head of yours to grow big just because everyone knows you're a superhero who protects the neighborhood"
Gwen then lets go of Y/n's ear, prompting him to pull back and rub the soreness away as he looks at Gwen who gave a look of concern.
Gwen: "Spider-man or not, you're education is important. We've all worked hard for ours, including YOU. Don't let this endeavor change you. Promise?"
Y/n: "Jeez. It's not like I'll turn into Iron Man now that my identity's out...but"
Once he soothed his ear, Y/n his hand out before extending a pinkie to Gwen.
Y/n: "Never done something like this in a long time but...I, Y/n L/n, a.k.a Spider-man, solemnly promise you, Gwendolyn Maxine Stacy"
Y/n then turns to the others, where they are slightly taken aback by Y/n's introduction, apart from Peter.
Y/n: "You guys didn't know Gwen's middle name was Maxine, didn't you?"
Everyone (but Peter): "No..."
Gwen: *clears throat* "You were saying?"
Y/n: "Right! Solemnly promise to continue to pursue my higher education, AFTER we have fun"
Gwen then wrapped her pinky finger over Y/n's.
Gwen: "You better not back out on this"
Y/n: "If I did, then my name wouldn't be a Parker at all"

A wholesome moment with Y/n and friends, writing a Spider-Man story where everyone knows Y/n's identity is a bit of a challenge, but a challenge I'm willing to face.
