Emily was convinced today was the worst start of a new school year ever. The Radkova witch was honestly ready to just go home and never be seen again. Emily felt like she couldn't breathe on her own when she constantly had three shadows following her every move. Emily felt like a prisoner at this point.
After leaving Alaric's classroom, Emily had gone to her AP environmental science class, which she shared with the Salvatore vampire. Stefan annoyed her the entire lesson. Emily couldn't remember a single piece of information she learned with Stefan bothering her for the entire hour.
Emily thought she would get to finally relax when she headed to her art class since she knew the Salvatore vampire wouldn't be in this class. However, the Radkova witch was horribly mistaken when a cocky and grinning Rebekah came strutting into the art studio. The original vampire spent the whole hour asking Emily questions that she tried her best to ignore.
Emily's horrible day didn't end there, either. The last of her three bodyguards, of course, made his appearance known when Emily arrived to her Physics class. The Radkova witch had barely sat down at her desk before Tyler was rushing to the seat beside her. Emily loved Tyler dearly but she wanted to use her powers to shut him up when the new hybrid spent the whole hour talking about how much of a good guy Klaus was.
Emily practically sprinted out of her physics class when the bell rang to get away from Klaus' number one fan.
Emily never thought she would say this but she was very glad to be going to her P.E class next. Emily usually wasn't a fan of any sort of exercise besides cheerleading. However, Emily figured it would, for one, help her clear her mind and two, help build up her cardio for Alaric's vampire training.
The Radkova witch did a quick outfit change in the girls' locker room into a pair of black basketball shorts and a grey Mystic Falls Timberwolves t-shirt along with a pair of white sneakers that Emily always kept in her locker.
Emily grabbed her cell phone and iPod from her backpack before she shoved the bag into her locker and locked it up for the next hour. Emily made sure her shoelaces were tied perfectly before Emily silently made her way through the building until she reached the track outside.
The Radkova witch slowly walked towards the track as she was busy looking through the playlists on her iPod. Emily ended up putting a 30 Seconds To Mars album on shuffle after not finding anything she was in the mood to listen to.
Emily shoved her cell phone and iPod into the pocket of her black basketball shorts before she finally looked up. A small smile appeared on Emily's face when she found her twin sister waiting on her as she was stretching at the entrance of the track. Emily knew if anyone could pick up her mood it would definitely be her other half.
"Hey!" Emily called out as she jogged over to her twin sister.
Elena quickly stood up straight from her bent over position when she heard someone shouting her way. Elena glanced through the many faces before a grin pulled onto her lips when she found Emily heading her way.
"Hey!" Elena shouted back as she waved her hand at her twin sister.
Emily finally reached Elena's side after she weaved her way through her fellow classmates. Emily wrapped her arm around Elena's shoulder as they began to head out onto the track. "You ready for some running?" Emily teasingly asked her twin sister.
"Not at all," Elena murmured with a chuckle as she leaned her head against Emily's shoulder.
Emily released her own chuckle. "Come on," the Radkova witch murmured as she squeezed her twin sister's upper arm. "Think of this as training," Emily suggested.
"I guess," Elena mumbled before she let out a heavy sigh. "I just really hate running," the Gilbert girl admitted.
Emily giggled, "oh, I know." The Radkova witch bumped her shoulder into Elena's as she told her twin sister, "you'll be fine."
"Do I have to?" The human girl whined.
Emily playfully rolled her green eyes at her twin sister. The Radkova witch thought for a moment before she came up with an idea. "How about if you jog around the track for the whole hour, then we go get cheese fries after school is finished?" Emily suggested.
Elena's brown eyes immediately widened at Emily's idea. She always did have a weakness for cheese on top of any kind of carb. "Alright, fine," Elena mumbled in agreement as she nodded her head.
Emily grinned over at her twin sister. "That's my girl!" Emily cooed before she took a few steps away from Elena to disconnect their bodies. "Now, let's get going!" The Radkova witch proclaimed as she began to jog ahead of her sister before she shouted back at Elena, "there's cheese fries calling our names!"
Emily curiously glanced over her shoulder after a few seconds before she giggled when she saw Elena had began to jog behind her. The Radkova witch was quite pleased that her cheese fries idea had actually done the trick. Emily decided to secretly store that idea in her mind for the future when she wanted Elena to do something.
The Gilbert twins steadily jogged side by side around the track for a good fifteen minutes with a couple of breaks in between before they were soon interrupted by an unwanted presence.
"Well, look at you guys being all fit," Stefan tauntingly uttered as he slid between the Gilbert twins and easily placed his arms over Emily and Elena's shoulders.
"Don't touch me," Elena snapped as she quickly pushed the Salvatore vampire's arm away from her. Elena pushed her legs to be further ahead, so she was away from Stefan. The human girl didn't want to be anywhere near the emotionless vampire after everything that she witnessed at Senior Prank Night.
"Someone's a little cranky today," Stefan murmured with a smirk as he stared at the human Petrova doppelglanger.
"Leave her alone," the Radkova witch ordered as she roughly pushed Stefan's arm off of her.
Stefan ignored both of the Gilbert sisters' commands as he shot them amused smirks before he focused his green gaze onto the Radkova witch. "You're so feisty today," the Salvatore vampire murmured, "it's sexy."
"I have had three very annoying shadows following my every move today," Emily muttered as she tried to put some distance between herself and her ex-boyfriend, "I deserve to be a little feisty."
"Aw, come on, Emmie!" The Salvatore vampire exclaimed as he easily matched Emily's pace. "You know you missed me following you around like a lost puppy," Stefan tauntingly murmured.
Emily rolled her green eyes in annoyance. She wished Stefan would just leave her alone. The Radkova witch turned to the side before she shot a glare to the emotionless vampire. "Can't you go back Klaus' ass already?" Emily asked before she muttered, "I've had my fill of Stefan for the day."
Stefan widely grinned over at the Radkova witch. "No can do, baby," the Salvatore vampire proudly proclaimed.
Emily could tell the Salvatore vampire was never going to shut up. Emily knew the original hybrid told Stefan to keep an eye on her, so Emily just knew Stefan didn't plan to stop bothering her.
The only thing that Emily could do was to ignore him and pray that Stefan would get bored and go away. It wasn't the best plan but it was all Emily had when there was so many innocent people around the track.
So, instead of responding to Stefan's taunts, the Radkova witch simply picked up her speed to lock arms with Elena before she forced her and Elena's legs to quickly walk away from the Salvatore vampire.
"Hey!" Stefan called out before he swiftly jogged ahead of the Gilbert twins. "Are you going to the bonfire tonight?" The Salvatore vampire asked as he turned around to look at Emily and Elena while he walked backwards. A smirk grew onto Stefan's face as he continued to ask, "sounds like fun, right?"
Emily rolled her green eyes. "The last time I was at one of those bonfires, vampires came into my life," the Radkova witch uttered as she recalled last year's back-to-school party. "I think I'm going to pass this time around," Emily muttered, "I have enough excitement going on."
"Oh, come on!" Stefan loudly whined. "You know the last one was fun," the Salvatore vampire stated before he shot Emily an even wider smirk. "It was where you fell in love with your sister's boyfriend," Stefan reminded the Radkova witch.
Emily let out a scoff at the emotionless vampire's statement. "You and I both know that's a lie," the Radkova witch immediately detested. Emily shot Stefan a smirk of her own as she recalled that night, "I spent the whole night on Tyler's arm."
Even though Emily knew Stefan was a newly turned emotionless vampire and didn't care about anything anymore, she also knew that Stefan easily got riled up by Tyler through that tiny part of him that still cared for her.
"Funny," Stefan deadpanned as he visibly tightened his jaw before he told Emily, "but you know you were thinking about me all night."
Emily rolled her green eyes at the Salvatore vampire. "You're so full of yourself," Emily muttered.
The silent Gilbert couldn't help but add her two cents as she looked at the Salvatore vampire in disgust. "What did we see in him again?" Elena asked her twin sister.
Stefan smirked as he moved his green gaze over to the human of the two sisters. "Good thing I never loved you," the Salvatore vampire muttered.
Emily immediately shot an angry glare over at Stefan as soon as she felt Elena flinch from the arm that she was tightly holding. "Watch yourself, Stefan," the Radkova witch warned the emotionless vampire.
Stefan slowly shook his head as a tsking sound escaped from his lips. "Always the protector," Stefan murmured before he rose an eyebrow at his ex-girlfriend. "Doesn't it ever get boring being the good guy?" The Salvatore vampire inquired.
Emily let out a loud scoff. "Oh, I've had my fair share of time on the dark side," the Radkova witch recalled before Emily shook her head. "I don't need that in my life," Emily muttered.
Stefan shot a deep pout over to the Radkova witch. "Too bad we weren't on the same side together," Stefan uttered before a smirk rose onto his lips. "We could have had a lot of fun," the emotionless vampire proclaimed.
"That's a hard no," Emily grunted before she looked at her ex-boyfriend with another glare. "Now, excuse us," the Radkova witch muttered as she gave Elena's arm a comforting squeeze, "we'd like to jog in peace."
The emotionless vampire released a boastful laugh. "Am I bothering you, sweetheart?" Stefan asked with amusement all throughout his voice.
"Yes. Yes, you are," Emily deadpanned.
"Oh, this is only the beginning, babe!" Stefan exclaimed as he cockily spread his arms out in the air. "I'm not going anywhere," Stefan told the Radkova witch, "I'll be with you in class, at lunch, and even homecoming."
Stefan's forest green eyes widened for a second before he asked his ex-girlfriend, "speaking of homecoming, who are you bringing?" Stefan scrunched up his nose in false worry before he stated, "I don't want it to be weird."
Emily was planning to just ignore the Salvatore vampire before an idea quickly appeared in her head that she knew would annoy her ex-boyfriend.
"Oh, I was thinking of bringing Scott," the Radkova witch innocently stated as she shot a smirk to her ex-boyfriend. "You know, the cute True Alpha," Emily reminded the Salvatore vampire.
Stefan immediately looked at Emily with a sharp glare. "Watch it, Emily," the Salvatore vampire warned her before he reminded Emily, "I haven't told Klaus anything about your little wolf." Stefan pointed his finger at the Radkova witch as he told her, "if I see Scott step foot in Mystic Falls, all bets are off. I'd gladly help Klaus kill him."
Emily instantly matched the Salvatore vampire with a hard glare of her own. Emily definitely wasn't going to let Stefan talk badly towards Scott; especially with their shared connection between them.
"No, you better watch it, Stefan," the Radkova witch snarled. Emily lifted up her right hand with a blazing heat shooting out of her fingertips as she told Stefan, "you should remember how I don't take threats to my loved ones lightly."
Stefan was completely unfazed as he smirked over at the Radkova witch. "Is the wolf boy your boyfriend now or are you bouncing between the two werewolves?" The Salvatore vampire taunted.
Emily shook her head as she tsked. "Careful, Stefan. You're humanity is showing through all of that jealousy of yours," the Radkova witch uttered as she taunted Stefan right back.
Stefan rolled his green eyes at his ex-girlfriend. "I could care less who you're opening your legs to, babe," the Salvatore vampire muttered. Stefan held up his hands in innocence as he told the Radkova witch, "I'm just here until Klaus finally drains you of your blood."
While Emily didn't flinch at Stefan's words, Elena surely did. The human girl didn't like how Stefan was talking to her sister, someone Stefan was supposed to love. It hurt Elena for her sister to see Stefan act this way towards Emily when Elena always thought they would be endgame for each other.
"Emmie, let's just go," Elena mumbled as she grabbed her twin sister's hand that wasn't currently covered in flames. "He's not worth it," Elena told the Radkova witch, "he's just trying to get under your skin."
Emily immediately released the flame from her hand at the soft touch of her twin sister; her kryptonite. Emily's anger and frustration for Stefan dissolved as she shot Elena a small smile before she nodded her head.
"Yeah, you're right," Emily murmured in agreement. "We've got better things to do than to talk to Klaus' lapdog," the Radkova witch quipped. Emily threw a disgusted look to the Salvatore vampire before she turned her body (along with Elena's) to go the opposite way to get away from Stefan.
However, Emily was so focused on finally escaping the Salvatore vampire that she didn't realize that someone was walking close by until she bumped right into one of her classmates.
"Oh, my God! I'm so sorry!" The student, Lewis, hurriedly apologized as he held onto Emily's upper arm to stop her from toppling over onto the track.
"It's o--" Emily had started to say to accept the student's apology before she was suddenly interrupted by the emotionless vampire as Stefan shouted, "watch it, dick!"
Emily stood there in surprise before she took control of her body when she witnessed Stefan roughly push Lewis down on the ground; something the human definitely didn't deserve for a simple accident.
"Hey!" The Radkova witch shouted before she pushed onto Stefan's chest with all of her strength to give Stefan a taste of his own medicine. "What the hell is your problem?" Emily snapped.
Stefan lazily smirked over at the Radkova witch as he held up his hands in innocence. "I have no problem, babe," the Salvatore vampire muttered, "I'm just doing my job; protecting the human blood bag."
Emily could feel Elena flinch beside her at Stefan's words but Emily wasn't phased anymore. She had been called a human blood bag by practically everyone who came to Mystic Falls at some point. It wasn't exactly a lie, either. It just wasn't very nice. However, Instead of letting it bother her, Emily just let it fuel the fire inside of her.
"Be Klaus' bitch all you want but leave me and everyone else alone or we will have a problem," Emily proclaimed as she shot one last glare at the emotionless vampire.
Emily carefully latched her fingers around Elena's wrist before she quickly pulled her twin sister away from Stefan. The Radkova witch didn't stop walking (and pulling Elena) until they were hidden behind a large oak tree away from Stefan's view and enhanced hearing.
Emily released her twin sister's wrist before she moved until she was standing face to face with Elena. "We need to do something about him," the Radkova witch stated.
Elena immediately nodded her head in agreement. "I don't like him here," Elena mumbled with her brows furrowed together in concern, "he's unpredictable."
"He's a liability to everyone in Mystic Falls," Emily stated as she added her own concerns. "He's too dangerous to be walking freely," the Radkova witch proclaimed, "he's not only dangerous for us but everyone else, who don't even have the slightest clue about our world."
Elena released a small sound of agreement before a confused look took over her face. "What can we do, though?" The human girl asked her twin sister. "We can't exactly do anything until Mikael comes to deal with Klaus," Elena muttered.
Emily silently nodded her head as she took in Elena's words. "We can't do anything major," the Radkova witch muttered as she thought out loud, "or Klaus will get suspicious."
The Gilbert twins both took a few minutes to think of a plan to get control of the emotionless vampire before Elena's brown eyes suddenly widened as a light bulb invisibly appeared above her head. "The Forbes jail cell!" Elena exclaimed before she stated, "we could lock him up in there!"
Emily bit down on her bottom lip as she thought over Elena's idea. The Radkova witch definitely liked the idea. If they could get Stefan locked up, then they wouldn't have to worry about Stefan finding out about their plan to get rid of the original hybrid.
The location was a good spot as well since they all knew that the Forbes jail cell could hold a supernatural being since Tyler always went there to go through his werewolf transformations during the full moon.
"It could work," Emily voiced her thoughts to her twin sister as she agreed with Elena's idea. "That way, Stefan won't be able to take anymore orders from Klaus and we can work on flipping his switch back," the Radkova witch stated.
Elena grinned before a frown quickly replaced it as she thought of an issue in their new plan. "How are we going to get him there, though?" Elena inquired. "He isn't just going to go willingly," the human girl muttered.
Emily reached over to give Elena's hand a comforting squeeze. "We'll think of something," the Radkova witch stated as she assured her twin sister.
"We need to do this quickly," Emily proclaimed. "Call Damon and tell him to meet us in Ric's classroom," the Radkova witch instructed before she stated, "and I'll text the others to meet us there."
Elena hurriedly nodded her head. "Okay, I'll call him," Elena promised before she quickly pulled out her cell phone from her gym shorts to call her boyfriend.
The Radkova witch waited until Elena got on her phone to call the elder Salvatore vampire before Emily pulled out her own cellular device from her pocket that she had her iPhone in. Emily pulled up the group chat that she had with the usual group of people that were involved in the supernatural world.
Emily quickly typed out a short summary of what was going on and the plan that she and Elena had come up with to get control of the emotionless Salvatore vampire. Emily added for everyone to meet them in Ric's classroom before she pressed the send button with a release of a heavy sigh.
A few months ago, Emily never would have thought of conspiring against Stefan, someone who she would always love, but she didn't have a choice anymore. Stefan had to be stopped now if they ever stood a chance in taking down the original hybrid.
