It was the following day. Phin could be standing in the same abandoned room with the Nuform remaining attached to the machine as it powers up.
Walking up to the machine, Phin runs her hand across the machine before landing on an award that is placed beside it.

Phin picks up the award, reminiscing simpler times. Before her incident with Roxxon.
???: "Come on, Molases!"
Phin turns around to the door leading to the room, revealing a younger version of Phin as she pulls a younger Miles into the room.
Miles: "Why did you bring me here?"
Phin: "To see our project, duh!"
Miles: "Says you"
Phin lets go of Miles's arm before running to their invention, with Phin as The Tinkerer nowhere to be seen.
Phin: "Here it is"
Miles: "Still can't believe we won first place"
Phin, out of nowhere, flicked Miles's ear, causing him to recoil in pain.
Miles: "Ow!"
Phin: "Believing it now?"
Miles continues to nurse his ear as they continue to admire their invention.
Rick: "Hey!"
Phin and Miles turned around to see Rick with his arms open with a wide smile.
Phin: "Rick? How did you get here?"
Rick: "I got a pass to the elevator. How did you two get in?"
Miles: "Snuck past the lady in the lobby"
Phin: "We're like, super pro at that"
Rick: *scoff* "I'd bet. So what are we doing standing around here? Let's go see your invention"
Miles: "Well, we kinda already saw it so-"
Rick: "But you hadn't seen it with me, so come on!"
Wrapping his arms around Phin and Miles, Rick dragged the two to their invention as the proud smirk remained on his lips.
Rick: "Oh! I got an idea"
Rick reached into his pocket and took his phone out.
Rick: "Huddle up, we need to take a picture"
Phin: "You gotta be in it too! You helped us get it working"
Rick: *smirk* "OK OK, fine. Scoot over"
Wrapping his arm around Miles, Rick puts his phone into selfie mode and holds the camera up in the air.
Phin: "Say 'alleeeeeeles'!"
Miles: "I am SO not saying that!"
With one wide smile, Rick took a picture. Resulting in the photo that was currently being held by Phin in the present time.
New-Form: "Phin..."
Hearing the hoarse voice of her brother, Phin looked up to see Rick, who despite his augmented appearance, managed to show a look of concern towards his sister.
New-Form: "Got something on your mind?"
Phin: "It's...nothing. I'm sorry for spacing out"
Unconvinced, New-Form walked over to Phin and spotted the picture that was in her hand before she hurriedly shoved it into her jacket pocket.
Rick: *sigh* "You know, I wished things were the same as they were back then too"
Phin: "Really?"
Rick: *nods* "Every day. I've dreamt of the time we shared before all of this"
Rick walks to the invention, which is none other than Phin and Miles's energy converter.
Rick: "But once everything is set in motion..."
Rick focused on the Nuform placed in the invention before looking at his reflection.
New-Form: "And once we're done, we'll rid this city of Roxxon for good"
Every second he looks at his twisted self, the more his rage grows.
Phin: "But what about-"
New-Form: "LOOK AT WHAT THEY DID TO ME, PHIN!!!"
Phin reels back, startled by Rick's sudden outburst. His body slowly shone bright blue.
New-Form: "They just keep taking, and taking. My research, my face, MY LIFE! It's because of them I-!"
As Rick whips around to face Phin, he is met with his sister's frightened expression. This was enough to quench his burning rage, as the lights started to dim down.
Rick: "Sorry you had to see that, Phin"
Phin: *shaken* "I-It's fine. I understand"
Rick took in a deep breath before looking back to Phin caringly.
Rick: "What were you gonna say?"
Phin: "I was just gonna ask what about Miles? He just joined The Underground recently and wondered how he'll fit in with the plan?"
At the mention of Miles's name, Rick's expression fell as his look of care turned to a look of sorrow.
Phin: "Rick? What's wrong?"
Rick: "Phin, for the better, I think you shouldn't see Miles anymore"
Phin felt her heart get crushed as she stared at Rick with widened eyes.
Phin: "What!? But why!?"
Rick: "Just, trust me, Phin. He's not worth the trouble"
With a rub off his eyelids, Rick breathes a sigh before exiting the room. Leaving a saddened Phin to stand alone in the room in silence. A silence that was broken by the sound of her phone receiving a notification.
Miles
Hey, I'm by Trinity Church, got time to chat?
Conflict suddenly brews inside Phin. In her mind, the words from her brother remained fresh, but in her heart, there was a feeling of rebellion, a chance to do what SHE believed was the thing she wanted to do, regardless of what her brother said.
Pacing on the edge of a church ledge was Miles, holding his phone that had sent a message to Phin just minutes prior.
Miles: "Oh man...what if Rick told Phin my identity and now she'll avoid me?"
Somewhere in a secluded spot around the church, Y/n could be seen in his best incognito outfit with his spidey suit tucked underneath in case of a quick suit change.
Y/n: "Chill out, I've seen this sort of situation plenty of times. The worst she could say is no"
With a cup of hot chocolate in hand, Y/n placed the rim to his lips before taking a sip.
Y/n: "Well...in your case, the worst she could do is pull a sword out of thin air and kill you with it"
Miles's voice: "Some words of encouragement you've given"
Y/n: "Relax. will ya. Besides, she's here"
Looking to the side, Y/n spots the unmistakable wavey orange hair of Phin amidst the crowd.
Miles: "Okay, stay put. I'm on my way"
Jumping off the ledge, Miles swings around the church, putting his regular clothes over his suit before casually walking around the other side of the church and joining the crowd.
Squeezing his way through the crowd, Miles manages to catch up to Phin and tapped her on the shoulder.
Miles: "Hey, almost lost you for a sec. there"
Phin whips around as she is taken by surprise by Miles's sudden appearance.
Phin: "Miles! I almost didn't see you there"
Miles: "So, you got my text?"
Phin: "It's why I'm here"
Miles: "There's this nice-looking cafe I saw just down the street. Think we could chat there?"
Phin looks to the side before back at Miles with a hint of suspicion in her eyes.
Phin: "Did you call me out here for a date?"
Surprised, Miles immediately flushed bright red as he began to stumble over his words, trying to formulate a response.
Miles: "I-Uhm-Well, it's because-"
Phin: *giggles* "I'm messing with you, Miles. Lighten up"
After recomposing himself, Miles began to lead Phin to the cafe.
Once they were seated, with their drinks placed in front of them, Phin and Miles shared a heartfelt laugh as their eyes lingered on one another.
Phin: *smiles* "Thank you, Miles. I really needed this"
Miles: "Anytime..."
Miles and Phin's smile slowly starts to falter, their eyes looking down onto their drink of choice as they grip their cups firmly.
Phin/Miles: "There's something else I've been meaning to talk to you about. Wait!"
Miles: "Hold on. What's that?"
Phin: "It's...a bit complicated, I don't know how I'm supposed to tell you"
Miles: "Phin, you can trust me. Just tell me, and I promise I'll understand"
Phin: "Okay, just...promise not to freak out"
Miles: "I won't"
With a sip of his drink, Miles waits for Phin as she takes some time to compose herself before speaking.
Phin: "We're going to blow up Roxxon Plaza"
Miles accidentally burned his tongue right as he took a sip, causing him to spit his drink to the side before nursing his tongue to cool down.
Miles: *whispery yell* "You plan on what!?"
Phin: "I thought you said you wouldn't freak out?"
Miles: "I know, it's just- the Plaza? Are you for real?"
Phin: *nods* "I am. The plan will proceed tonight and-"
Miles: "Woah, woah. Isn't this going a little too fast? I don't think I'm ready to blow something up. Let alone Roxxon Plaza!"
Phin: "That's the other thing I've been meaning to talk to you about"
Miles: "Please don't be more bad news..."
Phin: "I don't think you should be part of The Underground anymore"
Miles: "Hold on a sec-"
Phin: "Miles, this mission is dangerous. And with your experience, you'll only slow us down"
Miles: "But what about you?"
Phin: "I can take care of myself, Miles. I've always had"
Miles: "But you don't have to. Now that I can get the chance to see you again..."
Miles instinctively placed a hand over Phin's, as the two looked at each other's eyes.
Miles: "And I won't just let you go"
Phin: "Miles..."
Phin's heart started to flutter as she began to feel butterflies in her stomach.
Phin: "I...I think...I think I might be in love with you"
Despite Miles having his famous spider-sense, Phin continues to catch him by surprise, earning yet another fluster from the Brooklyn-raised Spider-man.
Seeing Miles's expression, Phin began to recall her words before Miles's expression. This causes her to recall her sudden confession, causing Phin to blush red too.
Phin: *flustered* "Did I say that out loud!!?"
Miles, who continues to blush, merely nods. This causes Phin to rush to regain her composure, swallowing a lump of saliva that managed to build up in her throat before composing herself, albeit a small hint of blush on her cheek remained.
Phin: "Well, I meant it. I love you. Like REALLY really love you. For the longest time. God...what am I saying?"
Miles: "Phin, I..."
Seeing Miles's hesitancy, Phin sighs, as all her flusters instantly washed away.
Phin: "I know you might find it hard to love a terrorist. Let alone a leader of an evil organization"
Miles: "What!? No! That's not what I meant"
Phin: "Then tell me, Miles, for me. Do you feel the same way?"
Miles: "I...-"

Miles: "GET DOWN!"
With his quick reflexes, Miles dove across the table and tackles Phin to the ground right as a car crashes through the cafe window.
Once they were on the ground, Phin and Miles looked to the source of the accident. What they saw was Y/n, donning his Spider-man suit, battling a man in a Large Red Rhino suit.
Y/n: "Sorry about that!!"

Dodging a slam from The Rhino, Y/n retaliates by webbing up Rhino's eyes, blinding him, before delivering a left cross to his face.
This causes The Rhino to blindly ram his horn forward, allowing Y/n to attach two more strands of webbing on either side of The Rhino's head before saddling up behind him.
Y/n: "Giddy up! You Big Red Russian!"
This enrages The Rhino even further, causing the two to begin charging across the city.
Miles: "I think I should go"
Phin: "But, Miles-"
Miles: "We can talk later. I'll text you again, I promise!"
Without another word, Miles helps Phin up to her feet before sprinting out of the cafe and taking off his outfit to reveal his spidey suit.
Meanwhile, with Y/n
Y/n: "Perhaps pissing off a giant moving wrecking ball wasn't such a good idea"
Y/n grimaced as he held onto The Rhino as they ensued chaos throughout the streets of Manhattan, knocking away trucks and cars as civilians were forced to abandon their vehicles and move out of the way to not get in the way of the incoming villain.
Y/n: "Jesus, you turning this into a wild goose chase. Huh, Aleksei?"
Rhino: *groans* "I HATE CHASE OF GOOSE!!!"
Rhino then took a sharp turn. Straight into a commercial building.
Y/n: "Oh for the love of-"
Rhino crashes through the wall, scaring off any civilians that caught sight of the villain whilst continuing to gain momentum.
Y/n: "Maybe you're just lacking some Christmas spirit is all. What's your favorite Christmas song as a kid?"
Rhino: "Rhino was too busy being trained into this suit to enjoy Christmas"
Y/n: "Come on, you gotta at least know something. Like this one! Tis the season to be Jolly~!"
As Y/n began to sing, Rhino began to look for any opportunity to get Y/n off of his back. Inevitably decides to crash through any wall he comes across.
Y/n: "Fala-lala-"
*Crash!*
Y/n: "Lala-la-"
*Crash!*
Rhino charges through the side of the building at full sprint, sending the two soaring through the air.
Y/n: "Oh shit...!"
In a last-second attempt, Y/n shot a web to Rhino's back but was unable to pull himself back in time.
So with his feet planted on the ground, Y/n tries to stay upright as he allows himself to be dragged around by Rhino.
Y/n: "This would be a lot better if my feet weren't being scraped off the ground"
Whilst being dragged, Rhino rams through a car, destroying it, this causes a door to break off its hinges and begin to fly towards Y/n.
Y/n: "Oh~ Idea time!"
Jumping off the ground for a split second, Y/n caught the door out of the air before using it as a board, providing him with a smoother dragging experience.
Y/n: "Woo~!!! Now this is Pod-racing!... What am I supposed to do again?"
Miles: "Yo!!"
Turning his head, Y/n sees Miles has caught up to him.
Miles: "Why haven't you stopped this guy yet?"
Y/n: "Uhh... it's sort of a work in progress at the moment"
Miles: "Work in progress!? Just punch the dude!"
Y/n: "Oh, you think you can do better!!?"
Miles: "Yeah, I think I do!"
Y/n: "Well then, be my- MALL!!!"
With a big battle cry, Rhino leaps through the air, dragging Y/n up with him as he's forced to involuntarily leave the car door behind.
As he soars through the air, Y/n lightly taps Miles on the back.
Y/n: "Tag you're it!"
Once Y/n let go of his web, Miles took his place and zipped to the back of Rhino's back right as he crashed through the parking building of the mall.
Rhino: "Hold on tight, Tiny Spider!"

Miles: "Oh, Crap!"
Miles looks ahead and sees Rhino about to run through the entrance of the mall. This prompts Miles to brace for impact just as Rhino bursts through.
With a sharp turn to the left, Rhino jumps to a lower floor, resulting in Miles thickening the webs attaching him to Rhino's back.
Miles: *rapidly* "ohcrapohcrapohcrapohcrap!!!"
Adjusting his grip on his webbing, Miles begins to steer Rhino away from any obstacles. At the same time, Y/n appears from behind Miles and begins yanking civilians out of the rampaging Rhino's way.
Y/n: "I got it. And you're saved, and you! Saved you too!"
As Y/n continues to clear the path of any civilians, Miles tries to break apart Rhino's armor, as he plans to use his ven blast on Rhino's human skin.
Miles: "Don't you have any other hobbies besides running through and destroying buildings?"
Rhino jumps into the air latching onto a nearby decor before swinging across the other side of the building.
Rhino: "Fly fishing on the Volga"
Rhino uses a wall to soften his landing and hopes to crush Miles in the process, but Miles quickly detached from Rhino, running up the wall before bouncing off to reattach himself back onto the Rhino's back.
Miles: "That sounds...nice?"
Rhino: "The power over life and death, excites me"
Miles: "Okay, not so nice"
Y/n: "BABY!!!"
Looking ahead, Miles spots a baby stroller placed in the middle of the way.
As Miles tries to steer Rhino clear of the way, Y/n zips in just in time to grab the baby before jumping to safety.
Once Rhino passes by, Miles looks back to see Y/n handing the baby over to the mother before giving Miles a thumbs up.

Miles: "Oh, give me a break!"
Miles braced for impact yet again as Rhino charged through another wall, exiting the mall and landing back into the open street.
Y/n's voice: *comms* "So... how's it going?"
Miles: "Not good. Could really use your help!"
Y/n's voice: "Alright, just let me build some momentum"
Miles: "Momentum? For what!!?"
Looking ahead, Miles sees an incoming intersection with an oil truck making a large turn.
Right as they were about to reach the truck, Y/n came in from the side and kicked Rhino in the side of the head with enough force to diverge Rhino off his path.
Y/n: "There ya go! Now keep him steady!"
Heading Y/n's words, Miles kept Rhino moving forward, pulling him back whenever he moved even slightly astray, as they continued to run through every wall in sight.
Once they were past another wall, a web attached to Miles's back before getting pulled out of Rhino's back and into Y/n's side. Saving him just in time as Rhino ran straight into a power plant.
Miles: *pant* "So...is it over?"
On cue, Rhino bursts out of the burning building scratch-free as he now begins to look for the whereabouts of the Spider-men.
Y/n: "I guess there's one thing left to do"
As Rhino walks further into the open, Y/n and Miles land behind Rhino, prompting them to turn around slowly.
Rhino: "Ahh~ Spider-man"
Miles: "You talking to me or him?"
Rhino: "You~!"
Rhino points his finger to Y/n, who seemingly holds a copy of a book named "Road to Spider-man: The Road Continues" before looking up at Rhino whilst pointing to himself.
Y/n: "Me!"
Rhino: "I've been tasked to take you in by Roxxon"
Miles: "Yeah, we sort of got that from the Red color scheme"
Y/n tossed the book to the side before stretching his neck.
Y/n: "I guess that saves us the getting-to-know part"
Miles: "You're telling me"
Y/n and Miles sparked their respective venom blast color, preparing for a coordinated venom strike.
Y/n: "You go high, I'll go low!"
Miles: "Got it!"
With Miles charging up his fist and Y/n charging up his feet, the two spiders web-strike over to Rhino and deliver their venom-charged attack.
Unfortunately, right as they made contact with the armor. They felt their venom blast dissipate. This caused Miles's attack to have little to no effect as Y/n's attack merely pushed Rhino away by an inch.
Y/n: "Okay. What the actual fuck just happened?"
Rhino then leans down and grabs the two spiders by the throat before slamming them to the ground, knocking the wind out of their chest as they feel their consciousness slip away.
Y/n: "GRAAGHH!!!"
A painful shock courses through his body, causing Y/n to jolt awake.
Panting for breath, Y/n begins to look around, his vision fading in and out still, but manages to get a grasp of his location.
He sees that he's suspended by his wrists up in the ceiling of a dark room that's being lit by a dim green light, but despite the lighting, Y/n could make out two Roxxon soldiers, one of which holds a baton that was thrust into Y/n's chest, shocking his senses awake.
Y/n: *groans* "Fucking hell..."
Roxxon soldier #1: "No cameras in here to stop me now"
Y/n: "What are you...some closeted pervert?"
Roxxon soldier #1: "Shut up"
The soldier then jabs his baton at Y/n again, giving him another jolt.
Y/n: "Gragh! Damn...! *pant* I bet you practice this sort of shit on him, do you? You dommy little shit"
Roxxon Soldier #1: "I said be quiet!"
Yet again, the soldier grabs his baton, this time lingering a little longer, giving Y/n a more severe electrocution.
Roxxon Soldier #2: "You do your thing here, I'll go report to the boss that he's awake"
Roxxon Soldier #1: "Sounds like a plan to me~"
Roxxon Soldier #2: "Oh, and uhm..."
The second soldier then goes to whisper to the first soldier, out of Y/n's earshot.
Roxxon Soldier #1: "Yes, I know. You idiot! He's just getting under our skin"
Roxxon Soldier #2: "Okay...I just wanna clear that up"
The soldier then goes to the door and exits the room.
Y/n: "That was a mistake..."
Roxxon Soldier #1: "I'm not too sure...the way I see it, I have all the time in the world, with trapped little you"
Y/n: "Oh... I'm not trapped in here with you. You're trapped in here, WITH ME!"
Y/n then extends his fingers to channel his venom power, only to have nothing happen. This caused a scoff to be let out by the soldier before shocking Y/n once again with his baton.
Y/n: "Gragh! Okay...what is happening?"
With a quick biometric scan, D.A.R.C showed Y/n that his bioelectricity levels have dropped significantly compared to his previous.
Y/n: (Aleksei's suit must've drained more of my power than I thought)
Y/n was pulled from his train of thought by yet another jolt, causing Y/n to grit his teeth as the electricity flowed through his body until the soldier pulled the baton back.
As he regained his breath, Y/n noticed his bioelectricity levels were raised by one level.
Roxxon Soldier #1: "Gotta say, I thought I'd get to play around with the other Spider. But Krieger wanted to have a little chat with him before I could get a spin"
Y/n: (Miles is here?) *mutter* "D.A.R.C, find out where Miles is and bring him here"
D.A.R.C: "On it!"
With the situation being handled by D.A.R.C, Y/n looks back to his bioelectricity levels and then to the soldier's baton. Hatching a sick plan, Y/n takes a deep breath before proceeding with his idea.
Y/n: "Okay, I've given you enough free shots"
Roxxon Soldier #1: *confused* "Huh!?"
Y/n: "I'm going to count from 5. If you don't... there'll be Hell to pay"
Roxxon Soldier #1: "We'll see about that"
Raising the shock level of his baton, the soldier jabs his baton, shocking Y/n again with the same prolonged duration.
As he grits his teeth he watches his bioelectricity levels slowly tick up, but right as he is about to reach the level he needs to use his venom power, the soldier pulls the baton back.
Y/n: "5..."
Roxxon Soldier #1: "You have a lot of nerve threatening me in your position"
Y/n: "I'm trying to warn you. Be glad I'm being so generous with my time"
Roxxon Soldier #1: "I'll show you 'generous'"
Putting his baton to the maximum voltage, the soldier jabs his baton once again, holding it in place longer than his prior shock.
With gritted teeth, Y/n watched as his bioelectricity levels bumped up exponentially, up to his normal levels.
Y/n: "4..."
Roxxon Soldier #1: "You just never seem to quit!"
The soldier goes to smack Y/n in the head but fails to see Y/n charging his feet with his venom blast.
Y/n: *rapidly* "5-4-3-2-1!"
Y/n ignites the air around his feet, causing an explosive kick to be sent to the soldier's chest, sending him across the room to be slammed against the steel wall, knocking him unconscious.
With his tormentor out for the count, Y/n curls to his binds and breaks his wrists free; resulting in him dropping to the floor on his knees as he lets his body heal.
Not a second later, a ventilation grate drops to the ground behind Y/n, with Miles dropping in soon after.
Miles: "Y/n!"
Miles quickly goes over to his friend and puts their arm around his shoulder before helping him up.
Miles: "You alright?"
Y/n: *groans* "I'll live..."
Once Y/n balanced himself on his feet, Miles parted away from Y/n before the two began to exit the room.
Miles: "Come on, we gotta get out of here. Phin's gonna blow up the plaza tonight"
Y/n: *sigh* "Man...I just got shocked loads of times. Can't ever catch a break"
With a jog, Y/n and Miles go through the facility looking for a way out.
