October 31st
I went to all my lessons today, even the ones Draco was in.
I just ignored him the whole day.
Classes were over and I was heading to the room of requirements to have a go at the cabinet.
I went inside and made my way to the cabinet.
I saw on the table next to it a stack of books about enchanted pathways.
They were clearly Dracos.
I flicked through a couple before I heard the doors opening.
Draco turned the corner stopping when he saw me.
"Sorry I didn't know you'd be in here" he said
"Sorry I haven't helped in a while" I said
"Il go and we can work separately then" he said turning to leave
"Draco wait" I said and he turned back around
"We need to work together if we want to fix this thing, as much as I don't want to we both know we have to" I said
"Fine" he said walking up to the table and picking up one of his books
"I found something in this one about creating bricks for the path, we need to enchant pebbles and turn them to bricks that can be concealed within a spell" he said
"And how do we turn pebbles to enchanted bricks?" I asked
"Transfiguration, and we need certain pebbles" he said
"Lakeweed pebbles" he added
"Where are we meant to get lakeweed pebbles?" I asked
"I don't know but there the only ones that will work" he said
"Well why don't you find a transfiguration spell whilst I find the stupid pebbles?" I suggested
I thought that was the best solution that way we didn't have to see each other for a while.
"Alright fine il start now" he said leaving the room.
I left as well but I headed to my dorm.
"Y/n! Your here have you decided if your going to the party?" Alina asked as I shut the door
"Fine il go but I have no clue what to wear" I admitted
"We can help! We're going to get you looking so godamn beautiful Malfoy will realise what a mistake he made!" Alina said excitedly
I agreed and the two girls quickly got themselves ready whilst I showered and washed my hair.
There was no dress code so they put me in a spaghetti strap dark green silk dress with a corset style top.
It was short and fit me perfectly accenting the right parts of my body.
I used a concealing charm to hide my dark mark, it physically hurt to use the spell but I needed to, plus it only lasts 3 hours.
I put on some silver thin strap heels and a matching anklet.
I realised I still had the locket Draco gave me on.
I never took it off.
I decided now wasn't the time to take it off either.
I put on one of my mothers old bracelets and a ring of narcissa's.
Pansy curled my hair and put in up in a half up half down style with front strands out.
She secured it with a silver clip that matched my shoes.
Alina did my makeup.
She did a full face with eyeliner and a dark pink lipstick.
She also used a spell to get me a fresh set of acrylics.
I got french tips with a silver outline.
This was the nicest I'd look in weeks.
The three of us were ready and we headed to the great hall.
The party was being held there so all houses were invited.
The hall had been decorated with floating pumpkins and black tables at the sides full of halloweeny treats.
We joined Theo Blaise and Draco at a table.
"You came!" Theo said as I sat down next to him
"I did" I said
"You look flawless" he said
"Thank you" I said
Astoria came over sitting next to Draco.
God she makes me sick.
"Wanna help me with something?" I whispered to Theo
"Of course" he said
"Dance with me and make Draco jealous?" I asked
"Absolutely yes" he replied getting up and offering me his hand like It was his idea.
I looked at Draco secretly who was watching us intensely.
Theo took me to dance right in Dracos eye-line.
He spun me round and we danced closely.
He had impeccable hand placement and I could see Draco becoming infuriated.
At least this proved he still cared.
He should feel how I feel when I see him with Astoria.
I caught Astoria noticing what was happening and she took Dracos hand and kissed his cheek trying to get his attention.
He ignored her and was fixed on me and Theo.
"Kiss me" I said to Theo
"What?" He asked shocked
"Theodore.kiss.Me." I said strongly and he did.
I made eye contact with Draco before closing them to kiss Theo.
Me and Theo knew it meant nothing.
Draco didn't.
We pulled away and Draco rolled his eyes.
The song ended and I sat back down next to Alina.
Theo left to get us drinks.
Draco was still watching me across the table,
"That was amazing he's definitely jealous!" Alina whispered
"At least now he feels how I feel when he's with Astoria" I whispered back.
Alinas boyfriend jacob came over to take her dance just as Theo got back with our drinks.
He put my cup down and sat next to me.
"Thank you" I whispered to him
"Anytime" he said laughing at what we did
Draco looked miserable across the table.
"What's wrong dracy?" Astoria asked
I almost spat out my drink laughing at how she called him dracy
"What are you laughing at?" She asked looking me dead in the eye
"You pathetically begging for Dracos attention" I laughed
"Keep your fat nose out of my business" she snarled
"Seriously his attention is like a drug to you" I said
"Shut up!" She yelled holding onto Dracos arm again
"I can't be here anymore it's too hard not to laugh at your pitiful advances" i replied getting up
I caught her pulling her wand out and grabbed mine as she cast her spell
"Locomotor mortis" she yelled
I blocked it easily
"Leg locker curse the best you got?" I laughed
"As if you could do better" she remarked getting up and storming towards me
Is she for real?
"Petrificus tortalus" I said pointing my wand at her
She froze and dropped to the floor still.
I had temporarily petrified her body.
McGonagall began making her way over to see what was going on so I quickly cast the counter curse.
"What is going on here?" She demanded
"professor she's attacking me!" Astoria snitched
"You started it!" I yelled
"Miss riddle please follow me to my office" she said
I rolled my eyes as McGonagall lead my to my office
Astoria smirked as I left the hall.
We reached her office and she told me to sit down.
"Miss riddle would you care to explain?" She said sitting opposite me
"Astoria started it by casting locomotor mortis at me" I said
"So you decided to petrify her? That doesn't seem like an even spell" she said
"I hope we're not having a repeat of 2&3rd year, are we?" She added
She was referring to when I fought anyone who even looked at me the wrong way resulting in detention with her every week.
"No professor" I said
"Good and you best hope nobody from the daily prophet saw this little argument" she said
"What do you mean daily prophet?" I asked
"They were documenting Halloween at hogwarts" she said
Shit
I definitely hope they didn't see.
"Now I will let you off as long as you don't fight any more students" she said
"Fine" I said
"You may go" she said
I got up and headed back to the common room.
I could feel my left forearm burning and knew my concealing charm was wearing off.
I hurried up to my dorm and changed into leggings and a hoodie.
I re did my hair into a low ponytail to be more comfy and sat on the windowsill.
I was reading a book on stones and where to find them.
I came across something about lakeweed pebbles.
Apparently they were extremely rare but that the black lake was the most well known place for them.
They were said to be gathered in the deepest part.
I needed to get some.
I decided I'd go and try to get some next week.
