"Good morning, baby." I greeted my girlfriend as she entered the morning. "Good morning." Santana smiled as she walked over to me while I was talking to my manager, Alison. She's breaking down today's agenda.
Today's the day, Santana, my mother, and I are attending the Chanel show for Paris Fashion Week. Later, we're gonna attend the after party and then, we're gonna grab some dinner with a few of my friends.
Today's gonna be a pretty eventful day. "Here. You need to eat something or else you won't be eating anything until the after-party." My mother said as she handed me a plate of breakfast.
She handed me a plain bagel, with a side of eggs, sliced fruit, a few pieces of sausage, and a few scoops of vanilla yogurt with honey drizzled on top. Santana had the same thing.
Since she was getting her makeup done before me, she had to eat while they did her makeup. She'll get her hair done once she finishes getting dressed. While I had got to eat as I waited for my interview to start.
"You two are tearing that up, you guys must've been hungry." Alison, my manager teased as she was sitting down in one of the available chairs. "We are." Santana laughed.
"We meant to go get something to eat after yesterday's fitting but when we came back to the hotel, we were out like a light." I added. "Is this your first Paris show?" Marcus, our hairstylist asked.
"Yes." I smiled as I looked at myself in the mirror. "I wanted to experience it with Santana." I smiled. "After our fitting, Jennie was like; Babe! We're going to tell our kids about this." Santana laughed.
"That's so cute." Giselle, our makeup artist smiled. "How long have you two been together?" Marcus asked. "Officially? Since our junior year. Publicly? Since our senior year." I answered as I continued to eat my breakfast.
"Alright, all done." Giselle smiled. "Once you're finished eating, get dressed. Mrs. Kim, you're up next." Alison instructed us. "Okay, great." My mom said as she stood up from the bed and walked over to the hair and makeup chair.
"Am I also wearing Chanel?" My girlfriend asked my manager in disbelief. "Of course. What else would you be wearing? What did you think the fitting was for?" My manager laughed. Santana's widened at the news.
"I'm wearing Chanel? Really?" My girlfriend asked once again in disbelief. "Yes." I laughed as I walked over to my manager. "I forgot how much I liked her outfit." I smiled as my stylist handed Santana her outfit for the day.
It didn't take her too long to get ready since the outfit was fairly simple to put on. Once she was dressed, she sat down in the hair chair. While they're still getting ready, I'm going to film a 'Get Ready With Me' video for Vogue.
When my manager Alison told me that Vogue wanted to film a video with me, I nearly fell out of my seat. It's honestly such an honor and an amazing opportunity for me.
Obviously, both Santana and my mother are going to be in the video. It's only right since both of them are attending the show with me. Once my microphone was properly hooked up, filming began.
I opened my hotel room door and smiled at the camera. "Hi, Vogue this is Jennie. I'm in Paris for fashion week. Come get ready with me." I smiled as I opened the door wide enough for the cameraman to enter.
We walked further into my hotel room and saw both my mother and Santana getting glammed up by our hair and makeup team.
"These are two of the most precious people in my life. My beautiful mother and legendary model, Ashley Kim, and my beautiful girlfriend, Santana Lopez." I smiled as I kissed both of them on the cheek.
"Okay, all done." Marcus, one of my makeup artists said to Santana. "Thank you." My girlfriend smiled as she stood up from the chair. I sat down next since I still needed to get ready.
"It's my first time attending Paris Fashion Week, and I'm excited and nervous." I said to the camera as Marcus was touching up my makeup.
"I'm based in New York City so, I've been to a few shows here and there. At first, it was a challenge to learn how I should conduct myself but after my third show, I got the hang of it." I expressed.
"All in all, it was a very exciting and surreal experience." I smiled. The film crew stopped rolling once they got all the footage they needed for this portion of the video. They began filming once I was finished.
"So, I'm done with my hair and makeup now. For my makeup, we wanted to do various shades of pink and a mixture of a few other colors." I smiled at the camera.
"Since I have some sparkly eye makeup on, we wanted to keep the rest of my face a little matte. The inspiration for my hair was my mom. She always used to wear her hair like this when she was up and coming in the fashion industry." I smiled.
After I filmed this bit, they took a few up close pictures of my hair and makeup. They then gave me a retro camcorder where I filmed Santana and I posing and messing around a bit in the bathroom.
My mom even jumped in a few of our shots. Once that was over, I finally got dressed. After I got dressed, I had a few touch-ups on my hair and makeup before we carried on with the filming.
"This is my final look for my first ever Paris fashion show. As you can see, it has a very classic and timeless yet, modern feel to it. This is what it looks like 360." I smiled as I turned around in my outfit.
"I'm so happy to see how everything came out with my jewelry, my hair, makeup, everything. We're kinda running just a bit behind schedule so, I gotta go. But, thank you for watching. Bye, Vogue." I smiled as I waved to the camera.

"You ladies ready for this?" My mother asked as our driver pulled in front of the venue. "As I'll ever be." Santana replied nervously. "Babe, you got this. We got this." I reassured her as I gave her hand a supportive squeeze.
"You're right. Let's do this." Santana smiled. The three of us climbed out of the van and were greeted by a few security guards and staff members.
As we headed towards the building, there were a lot of interviewers and paparazzi who tried to shove their microphones in our faces. My mom knew this would happen so, she warned us beforehand.
Once we made it inside, we headed straight to the photo op wall. It's where a bunch of magazines, tabloids, and anything of the sort will take pictures of you. Basically, it's for social media.
I took a few photos by myself. I took some with my mom, Santana, and some group shots as well. My mother and Santana took some individual photos before we headed to our seats.
"You did great, Santana. You're a natural in front of the camera." My mother complimented my girlfriend. "Thank you, Mrs. Kim." Santana replied bashfully. I smiled proudly as I grabbed her hand.
Before my mother and I could take our seats, we had to pose for a few pictures on the runway before the show started. To say that everyone was surprised by the fact that my mother is the great, Ashley Choi is an understatement.
A handful of people asked for a few pictures with her and since liked to be the center of attention, she agreed. Some people recognized me from my Adidas and Calvin Klein campaigns so, I took a few pictures here and there.
What surprised me during the show was how close I was to some celebrities. My mother was seated by Penélope Cruz and Brie Larson just to name a few.
Being my overbearingly supportive mother, she introduced them to Santana and I. Proudly telling them about all of my fashion accomplishments.
I doubt that they actually care and are just being respectful. After Santana and I introduced ourselves and snapped a few pictures, the show finally started.

When we returned to the hotel, my mother decided not to go to the after-party with Santana and I. She claims that she's too tired. Since she was no longer going, Santana and I changed outfits before heading back out.
Being the angels that they are, my childhood friends Lisa, Rosanne, and Jisoo waited for us outside of the venue. "Ladies." I smiled as we walked over to the girls. "Jennie!" My best friends smiled.
All three of them gave me hugs. "Girls, this is my girlfriend Santana. Babe, these are my childhood best friends I was telling you about. Lisa, Rosanne, and Jisoo." I smiled, introducing everyone to each other.
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Rosanne smiled as she hugged my girlfriend. "The pleasure is all mine." Santana smiled as the rest of my friends gave her hugs. "Are you ladies ready to party?" Lisa asked excitedly.
"Been ready. I'm ready to unwind from a long day." Jisoo expressed before we headed inside. I was surprised to see that it was like a club. Though, it was not as full. "I wish we could hit up the bar." Rose pouted.
"That's why I brought this?" Lisa smiled as she sneakily pulled out a flask. "Where were you hiding that?" I laughed. "In my boot." She answered nonchalantly. "Smart. I like her." Santana laughed.
"See, I knew someone would get me. Jennie, you got yourself a keeper." Lisa said dramatically and I halfheartedly rolled my eyes at the younger girl.
After we grabbed ourselves some drinks from the bar, we started to secretly pour the alcohol into our cups. "I never asked but, what type of alcohol is in here?" Jisoo whispered. "Jack Daniel's." Lisa answered.
"Good thing I didn't pour a lot." Rose laughed before taking a sip of her drink. Once our drinks were made, we headed over to the dance floor. I had my glass in one hand and Santana's hand in the other.
I danced with her as I took a sip of my drink. "Do you two go to clubs often in New York?" Rose asked abruptly. "No, why?" Santana asked. "It looks like you've done this before." She explained.
"We've been to parties and a few clubs here and there but, we don't go often." I explained. "Enough talking. Let's dance!" Lisa said seriously.
