"Red, what are you doing over there? Get over here right now", Leaf yells.
"Leaf, I am standing right next to you?", said Red, annoyed.
Leafs from seeing Red to Red.
"If you're here, then who in blazes is that?", said Red.
Red, Blue, and Leaf all look at each other awkwardly unsure what they saw. Red, Blue, and Leaf are walking around in Sunny Town. They are staring in the distance at a look alike who is dressed like Red. Blue then sees something that gets his attention.
"Hey look at this, Jesse and James will be performing here tonight", said Blue, seeing a poster. "We have to go".
"What, where?", asks Red, as he and Leaf turn to see the poster.
"Here in Sunny Town, tonight", Blue repeats. "We have an opportunity to go see them".
"I will go get the tickets", said Leaf before walking away.
Leaf leaves and then comes back, looking upset.
"Boys, I have bad news, the tickets are...way too expensive", Leaf says sadly.
Leaf then tells them how much.
"Awww, man", Blue groans.
"Wait a minute," said Red . "Let's go ask Koga how he can reward us. Maybe he can get tickets to see the Jesse and James tonight".
"Great idea", said Leaf.
"The three trainers run back to the Pokemon Center and call Koga and then he answers.
"You want me to do what?", asked Koga.
"Can you get us tickets to see Jesse and James' concert in Sunnytown tonight?", asked Red.
Red then tells him the price.
Koga's mouth drops and he then shakes his head.
"I am sorry but those tickets are too expensive, even for me", said Koga.
Red, Blue, and Leaf groan in disappointment.
"I know you kids have a thing for those rock stars", said Koga. "My daughters enjoy them too. But there may be another way to get those tickets".
"But the concert is tonight", said Red.
"Then...I think you'd better get started", said Koga and he gives them a thumbs up. "Or I guess...you can't go. I am sorry. Good luck my students".
Red hangs up.
"We've been collecting shining things along the way, right?", asked Blue.
"Yes we have", said Red.
"Let's go to the market and see what we can sell", said Leaf.
Red, Blue, and Leaf go to the Market and present the cashier with all the stuff they can sell except things not they need, like Pokeballs and such.
The cashier looks at them and shakes her head.
"Sorry, this is not enough", said the Cashier. "Like I said, the Jesse and James tickets for tonight are beyond affordable. You'd have to give up your life savings to get those tickets. A lot of people all get broke when they buy tickets to see Jesse and James. With this amount with you, you can buy a large amount of things like Pokeballs and other items and such".
Red, Blue, and Leaf groan.
"I did hear that three people are in need of someone watching over their Slowpoke for an hour", said the cashier. "They can each pay a Pearl for their time".
"One Pearl won't be enough", said Red.
Red, Blue, and Leaf then leave the Market.
"Hey, we can battle other trainers to get more money", said Blue.
"No, that could take all day", said Red. "The concert is tonight. What kind of trainers would we be if all we did is battle just to gain more money? It would hurt our Pokémon to push them this far".
"Good point", said Leaf. "Hey, our Persians know Pay Day, maybe we could try that against wild Pokémon".
Red shakes his head.
"We don't have enough time for that either", said Red.
Leaf groans and accepts Red is right.
Red lets out a breath.
"As much as I want to go but we can't afford it, plus we just found out too soon at the last minute", said Red.
They suddenly hear a man laughing at them and turn to face him.
"Sorry dude, I am the guy who put those posters up at the last minute, just to see how many losers can go before it's too late", the man taunts. "Now I get to watch people in misery, not going while I get to go".
He waves a ticket in their face. This angers Red, Blue, and Leaf and are shocked that this was done on purpose.
He goes away laughing causing Blue to go after him but Red and Leaf stop him.
"Given today's last minute call, we will plan for the next concert", said Red.
"I don't think so, Red", said Blue. "I hate to say it but the Jesse and James concerts are usually at the last minute and at random. I didn't know think they'd be too expensive to purchase".
Red, Blue, and Leaf groan in disappointment.
"You know what? I am just as happy as listening to their music", said Blue.
A piece of paper flies on the ground and lands at Red's feet. Red picks up and reads it.
"Jessabelle?", Red reads.
"What's that mean?", asked Blue.
"Jessabelle is a name for someone, mainly for girls", said Leaf.
Red puts the piece of paper into his pocket.
Red, Blue, and Leaf walk on and after passing by a bush. Red looks to his right side...suddenly sees someone who looks just like him. They walk up and stare at each other.
"Umm....", Red starts
"Umm...", said the look alike, sounding exactly like him.
"Ok this is creeping me out", said Red.
The look alike suddenly looks guilt ridden.
"Oh ok, my name is Duplica and I heard you are very popular these days", said the doppelgänger, sounding not like Red anymore.
"Who are you? Some kind of love-obsessed fan of Red's?" Blue growls.
"BLUE!," Red and Leaf shout.
"What?," asked Blue, confused.
"MIND YOUR MANNERS", Red and Leaf shout.
Red then turns to Duplica.
"Just curious, why are you dressed like me?" asked Red.
"It's a hobby, people from Saffron City call me Copycat", said Duplica. "I like to mimic and copy people. Plus, I heard you're good in a Pokémon battle, want to go for one?".
Red smirks at her.
"You're one, Copycat", said Red.
They go outside.
Red withdraws a Charizard and Duplica withdraws a Ditto.
"Charizard, Flamethrower", said Red.
"Ditto, Transformation", said a person who looks just like him.
Charizard shoots a large flame attack now transformed into Ditto but it did not have much of an effect.
"Ditto, Slash", said the look alike.
Ditto flies up and slashes at Charizard and slashes it again. Charizard and Ditto attack each other, from using Flamethrower and Slash repeatedly. Thinking fast to end this battle, Red returns Charizard and withdraws Golduck.
"Golduck, Water Pulse", said Red.
Golduck then shoots a pulsing blast of water at Ditto, causing it to fall on the ground. Ditto shoots a Flamethrower attack at Golduck which isn't very effective.
"Finish it Golduck", said Red.
Golduck then runs up to Ditto and scratches it before giving it another Water Pulse attack. Ditto faints and returns to its normal state.
The look alike person stares and returns her Ditto.
The person takes off her hat costume revealing a girl a red shirt with a yellow star on it and a pair of blue jeans. She has blue-ish green hair in two pigtail-plants.
"Wow Red, you are good but...but how did I lose?", Duplica asks, sounding confused. "I've always won with Ditto".
Red, Blue, and Leaf look at her awkwardly.
"Your Ditto did great until I decided to change my Pokémon on you, Duplica", said Red, calmly.
"What?", asked Duplica, still not understanding.
"I mean Ditto is a great Pokémon to have until your opponent changes their Pokémon to something else", Red points out. "Which makes it vulnerable to its opponent Pokémon's attack. Your Ditto transformed into a Fire Type and I switched my Pokémon to a Water Type and it still remained that way the whole battle, causing it to lose".
"So in other words, Ditto copies everything from the first Pokémon it battles and it stays that way throughout the whole battle or until it is defeated", said Duplica.
"That is...Ditto's greatest weakness which makes it not a best choice to use in battle", said Leaf.
The girl smiles at Red and his friends.
"Well I think differently", said Duplica. "I have to keep training Ditto into a perfect transforming Pokémon".
The girl smirks at Red.
"Watch out Red, I will work on Ditto's transformation weaknesses and show them off to you at the Pokémon League", said Duplica. "Thanks for the lesson".
Red smirks at her.
"I will look forward to it, Copycat", said Red.
Blue gives her a thumbs up
"You go girl", said Leaf.
Duplica joins them.
Red pulls out his pocket and the piece of paper falls out of his pocket and Duplica
"What's this?", she asked.
"Not sure, just a random name", said Red.
"I have heard that a Jessabelle person should be in the park right now", said Duplica. "Unless, this person has connections to Jesse and James".
Red, Blue, and Leaf stare at Duplica.
"I can't go either," she said "It's too soon and it got announced at the last minute".
"Lets go to the park", said Red.
Red, Blue, Leaf, Duplica walk to the park in the city and suddenly find themselves surrounded by Rocket Grunts.
"Hey, what's going on here?" Red shouts.
"Back off, this is a secret operation", shouts a red haired woman grunt.
"I guess it's a secret until you get caught", said Red.
Red, Blue, Leaf, and Duplica notice several Rocket Grunts holding two individuals hostage. One is a woman with violet-red hair and the man has periwinkle hair.
"Oh my gosh, they have Jesse and James", Blue yells out.
The lead Rocket Grunt woman with red hair withdraws a Vileplume. Red withdraws Charizard.
"Charizard, Flamethrower", said Red.
"Vileplume, Stun Spore", said the Grunt.
Charizard flaps away the Stun Spore back Vileplume, causing it to become paralyzed and Charizard sends a Flamethrower attack at Vileplume. Vileplume faints.
After a long fight, the last Rocket Grunts give up.
"You want them, fine, take them! You'll regret this", said a Rocket Grunt before leaving.
Red, Blue, and Leaf go to untie Jesse and James.
"Hi Jesse, James, I am Red and these are friends, Blue Leaf, and our new friend Duplica", Red announces. "We are here to rescue you", Red greets as he tries to untie Jesse.
Jesse and James smile at them as they are about to tell a funny joke".
"Why thank you Captain Obvious, it's nice to meet you", Jesse said humorously.
Jesse and James shake their hands.
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
They feel almost electrocuted for moments and after they release their grip, Red, Blue, Leaf, and Duplica look at their hands and realize Jesse and James are wearing joy buzzers on their hands.
Red, Blue, Leaf, and Duplica roar with laughter with Jesse and James grinning at them wickedly.
"This is why I love them", said Blue under his laughter. "They're master of trickery, pranks, and they know how to make people laugh".
After they stop laughing...
Jesse pulls out a walkie talkie and listens to something that angers her.
"WAIT A MINUTE, YOU WERE RECORDING ALL THAT AND YOU NEVER TOLD US?", Jesse screams.
"Sorry!", said the person on other end. "We wanted to wait and see what happens".
"ALL THE NERVE!", Jesse screams again. "WE WERE IN REAL DANGER. HOW WERE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW A GROUP OF TRAINERS WERE GOING TO COME AND RESCUE US?".
"Sorry", said the person on the other end. "We thought it would look good for film".
"Well don't ever do that again", Jesse snapped. "How much do you get?".
"Every piece and it's beautiful", said the person on the other end. "The Pokemon League is going to love this".
"The Pokemon League?" asked Red.
Jesse turns to Red.
"Part time", said Jesse.
Red, Blue, Leaf, and Duplica look at them awkwardly.
"Part time?", asked Red.
"We work for the Pokemon League on the side", said James.
"Oh", said Leaf amazed. "What do you in the Pokemon League?".
Jesse and James give each other a high five.
"We go around and pretend be bad guys to Pokemon trainers", said Jesse humorously.
"And we're very good at it", James adds. "It gives inspiration to our songs and acting. We always lose and we like to lose".
"Why did Team Rocket kidnap you both?", asked Red.
Jesse and James frown.
"They kidnapped us so they can use our great all powerful influence to get fans and followers to join them", Jesse replies.
"But we refused"', said James. "They brought us here to torture us until we agree to their demands. It was horrible. They even tried using Hypnosis Pokemon on us".
"Disgusting Team Rocket", said Blue.
"Amateurs", said Duplica.
"Exactly!", said James. "For saving us, Jesse and I think you four deserve your reward".
Jesse looks at James and they beam.
"My thoughts exactly, James", said Jesse. "How about tickets for our concert tonight?".
Red, Blue, Leaf, and Duplica beam.
"Thank you, we accept", said Red. "My friends and I are big fans of you but we can't afford the tickets because they are too expensive".
"Say what now?", asked Jesse.
"They're very expensive", said Leaf.
Red, Blue, and Leaf show Jesse and James how much the tickets cost.
Their mouths drop with horror.
"How can this be?", asked James.
"The tickets are supposed to be affordable for everyone", said Jesse, upset.
"Unless...", they both said.
Jesse and James light up with angry faces upon hearing this.
"So that's what our manager is up to", said Jesse, grumbling as she and James suddenly frown.
"Nevertheless we will make sure you come to our performance and have front row seats and back stage passes", said James.
Jesse beams
"Oh James dear, you read my mind", Jesse squeals.
James pulls out four cards and hands to Red, Blue, Leaf, and Duplica.
"Here are four tickets for you, both front row seats, and backstage passes", said James.
Red, Blue, Leaf and Duplica walk Jesse and James back to their hotel.
"See you four tonight, my loves", said Jesse as he and James went inside. Red, Blue, Leaf, and Dipleca went to find a cheap hotel nearby and get ready tonight.
When tonight finally arrives. Jesse and James have fixed up their prices so they can be affordable for all audiences and more people came than before. In addition, Jesse and James always wear a popular villains' costumes in their performances. Tonight as they step up on stage with an Arbok and a Wheezing, Jesse is wearing a vampire costume and James is a werewolf's costume.
"Motto, motto, motto", the audience yells.
"You hear that James? They want to hear our motto", said Jesse, pleased
"You know what to do, Jesse", said James. "Let's give them what they want.
The light goes dark and two spot lights shine as if an evil villain is about to emerge from the darkness, followed by a familiar evil music.

Big bad monsters, are coming for you tonight

Jesse and James raise their hands at them like their claws. The audience cheers and Jesse and James bow and begin their concert and performance. Red, Blue, and Leaf are having a fun time at the Jesse and James' concert, cheering for Jesse and James. The concert is so good, the audience eventually find themselves laughing too hard. They all lost their breath for a while and all had to see a doctor to get some breathing medicine.
Later, at the end of the concert, this unexpected event happens.
James: "Ladies and gentlemen, we have an announcement to make. You know our manager. Say hello to him".
They all wave at him.
Jesse: "Well I have some news about him. He conspired with Team Rocket and forced us to provoke them into kidnapping us. But it went too far because they tortured us into doing what they want and be their slaves while he sits there, laughing and getting all the money. Should I add he's one who made our ticket prices unaffordable".
Random person: "What are you trying to pull on me?".
Jesse and James: "SIR, YOU'RE...FIRED".
Furious, a man gets up, pulls out a gun and then aims at Jesse and James. Before he can fire, Red, Blue, and Leaf quickly tackle him and the gun goes off but no one gets shot, which scares the audience for a moment. The three trainers wrestle the man and eventually pin to the ground.
"I made you for what you are", the man yells as Red, Blue, and Leaf hold him down. "You are nothing without me. You won't succeed without me. I am the one who gave you the names, Jesse and James".
But Jesse and James ignore him. Officer Jenny marches in and cuffs the man and Red, Blue, and Leaf get off him.
"Gotcha sir, you're under arrest for working with Team Rocket, helping arrange a kidnapping, cover up of a crime, abuse as a manager, and now charges for attempted murder", said Officer Jenny. "And guess what, we also have other charges on you too".
Red, Blue, and Leaf are surprised as they recognize the man. It is the mean man who intentionally put that poster up at the last minute and made fun of them for being unable to go to the Jesse and James concert, and he turns out to be the manager. He has been abusing his power as a manager and he has been working with Team Rocket to gain more wealth for himself. He actually conspired with Team Rocket to arrange Jesse's and James' kidnapping by them and didn't care what happened to them as long as he got more and more money. He covered up the kidnapping and made sure it appears like nothing had happened and Jesse and James are doing great. This would explain why there is no report of Jesse and James going missing.
Jesse and James had realized this when Red told them the tickets are too expensive which they were not aware of. They get to their hotel room and call Officer Jenny, who investigates the manager and they soon realize he is working with Team Rocket and is involved with their kidnapping and other crimes. Then they come up with a plan to expose him by humiliating him, knowing he will react badly and expose his true colors. Once he reacts in such a way, Officer Jenny will come in to arrest him as planned.
"How did you know about me?", asked the manager angrily.
"Simple, why were you doing things behind Jesse's back and James' back?", said Officer Jenny.
The manager growls at her in defeat.
This angers the manager more, now having lost everything. He then glares at Jesse and James as he gets led away and the crowd gives an applause to his arrest.
"One more announcement", said Jesse.
"Julian, you're hired", said Jesse and James, pointing to a person in the audience.
A blonde man with glasses and a clipboard stands up and bows to the audience and they give an applause to him. Then he goes on stage with Jesse and James.
"Julian is a good friend of ours and he did not apply for the position", said Jesse.
"We're just hiring him anyway because he has no job", said James.
After the concert, Jesse and James invite them back to get pictures with them, except for Duplica.
"Red, Blue, Leaf, this where we must part ways", said Duplica. "I had a great time hanging out with you, helping save the day, and joining you at the concert. See you three around".
In a flash, Duplica dresses like Red, then into Blue, then into Leaf, and back into herself.
"Wow, you're quite the little shapeshifter", said Blue. "What's your secret to do that?".
Duplica's cheeks turn red and she blushes.
"Sorry Blue, top secret, said Duplica. "Who knows! Maybe someday I will go into acting or something on stage".
"You'd probably make a good actor and you keep working on that Ditto", said Leaf.
"When we meet again, Ditto's transformation flaws will be perfected", Duplica declares.
"We also understand you have to go, every Pokémon trainer has his path to follow", said Red.
Duplica nods thankfully. In a flash, she dresses like Red again and she leaves, giving a smile and wave.
Then they go meet Jesse and James. They even get to meet the new manager of Jesse and James who is pleased to see them.
"Jesse, James, I just got word that Rainbow Dustman wants to perform at the Pokémon League Tournament this year", said Julian.
Jesse and James beam upon hearing this.
"Tell Rainbow Dustman we want to perform at the Pokémon League Tournament this year, whether he likes it or not", Jesse sneers .
"And we won't take no for an answer, no exceptions", said James.
Julian smiles at this.
"We're gonna make a great team", he said to which Jesse and James nod in agreement.
"It's too bad our nephew's talking Meowth is not a part of this, he could help Jesse and Jame go to the top", Jesse adds.
Nephew?
"With all due respect, Meowth has his path to follow and he's happy with Ralph", said Red.
Julian smiles.
"As long as he is happy", said Julian.
"If I can add to it, can you do your motto at the beginning of the Pokemon Leage when that happens?", asked Blue.
Jesse and James turn to Blue.
"Yes", said both Jesse and James, sounding pleased.
"By the way, do you have a relative named Ralph Robertson?", asked Red. "He is a Pokemon trainer we met and are friends and he says you're his relatives".
Jesse and James look at him and smile.
"Yeah, little JayJay is our nephew", said James.
"My sister and his brother married each other and that is where JayJay came from", said Jesse.
"JayJay?", Blue sneers and begins to snickers.
"I am sure you all heard about our nephew's past", said Jesse. "A stupid murderous psychopath he was. But...we are most proud of him because he made his choice from his evil ways".
"It's hard to believe that someone like Ralph could change", said Red.
"It's not impossible Red", said James. "Jesse and I were former criminals too until something hit that told us we need to change. Hollywood gave us second chance to make things up and we never looked back".
"We realized being bad can be so much fun so we decided to make it pretend", said Jesse. "That's why villains and bad guys are our themes. Sadly...we unintentionally scared some people as a result".
Afterward, Red, Blue, and Leaf go on their way to leave Sunny Town the next morning. Boy, they are so happy, they are smiling the whole time as they walk.
"My gosh, it's not everyday you get to see Jesse and James in person", said Blue.
"Their kidnapping really did inspire them", said Red. "Not to mention, they're the heroes on that stage and we just helped out this time. They and Officer Jenny had a plan and found a way to catch the bad guy off guard".
"I still find it hilarious how Jesse and James use bad luck, always losing, bad guys to their theme in their performances", said Leaf. "In addition, they also do all kinds of bad guy themes for their performances. Their singing voice...oooooh, I love it. I can't get enough of them. Jesse and James are the biggest and funniest rock stars in the Kanto Region".
"I love how they put so much slapstick comedy in their performances, also their humor makes it even more hilarious", said Blue.
"I know, Mom tried to get me to watch cartoons and other things because Jesse and James scared poor Ash to death", said Red. "But who needs cartoons when you have Jesse and James. Jesse and James are a cartoon themselves. Sad part is Ash is not the only one who is afraid of them. Jesse and James have scared the daylights out of everyone because they act and dress on stage. Good news is not everyone is afraid of them at all and can see past their acting personas".
"Exactly", said Blue. "May I remind you and Leaf that Jesse and James always play the greatest villains in the greatest movies of all time?'.
"You may?", said Red. "I loved Jesse's role as the Bride of Count Golbat and James playing the Arcanine Man is just amazing".
"Oh my gosh, I love Jesse who played the Wicked Witch of the West from The Great Pokemon of Oz and James played the Sorcerer from Pidgeot Lake", said Leaf.
Red, Blue, and Leaf continue to move forward, who knows what awaits our heroes.
