"I honestly think we should start looking for our own place once we get back." I told my girlfriend as we entered the lobby of my mother's hotel.
We were supposed to come over tomorrow morning but due to my annoying ass roommates, we're coming over an entire day early. "Do we even have the money for that?" Santana asked seriously.
"Living in New York is expensive. I mean, yes, both of us have been saving but still, rent here is not cheap." She added. "You want to continue living there a little while longer?" I asked as we stepped onto the elevator.
"I'm down with either or but, they can't legally kick you out since you're on the lease." Santana pointed out. "That's true but, why stay somewhere where you're not welcome?" I asked.
We stepped off of the elevator and headed to my mother's room. We had to let her know that we were on our way while we were in our Uber.
"That's a good point." My girlfriend laughed.
"We'll finish this conversation later." I said before knocking on my mother's room door. "Who is it?" She asked from the inside of the door. "It's your favorite child." I answered jokingly.
"I didn't know you were visiting me, Jonah." My mom teased as she opened the door. I gasped dramatically as I faced my mother. "I'm just joking sweetheart." My mom smiled before Santana and I entered her room.
"It's nice to see you again, Santana. I'm glad you will be joining us on the trip." My mom smiled before pulling my girlfriend into a tight hug. "You too, Mrs. Kim." Santana smiled.
"Is there a reason why you two came a day early?" My mother asked. "Should there be a reason? Is it so bad for daughter to want to spend some extra time with her mother?" I asked innocently and she gave me a look.
"Whoa are you trying to fool? I'm your mother, remember?" She responded and I sighed. "Fine. We got into it with our roommates and decided that we should come here a day early." I explained as we sat my bags down.
"Have you two thought about getting your own place? I'm certain that you two would like to have your own space. Seeing how you are a couple." My mother asked. "We were talking about it on the way up here." Santana told her.
We slid of coats and shoes off before we sat down on the spare bed. Aka, the bed we will sleeping in tonight. "Our only concern is that rent here is so expensive. Both of us have been saving but still, it's expensive." I added.
"If you want, I can help you with the process. I also have a friend who does real estate here, in the city." My mom offered. "That would be great, thanks." I smiled.

*CLICK*
I groaned as I heard a loud click sound. It sounded like someone was taking pictures. I slowly opened my eyes and saw my mother, with her phone out taking pictures of Santana and I.
"Mom, what the hell are you doing?" I asked confusedly as I gently sat up. I don't want to wake up Tana. "You two were so cute while you were cuddling." My mom gushed as she showed me the pictures.
"Go get ready. Our flight leaves in a little bit." My mom smiled as she brushed the hair from out of my face. I nodded tiredly before walking over to my suitcase. I pulled out today's outfit and took it to the bathroom.
Since we're going to be on the plane for majority of the day, I'm dressing casual. Nothing too fancy since we're just going to the airport. After I took my shower and got dressed, I woke up Santana.
"Babe, it's time to get in the shower." I said softly as I gently shook my girlfriend. She slowly wat up against the headboard of the bed, trying to wake herself up. "Good morning." My girlfriend greeted me.
"Good morning, beautiful." I smiled as I picked her lips. She climbed out of bed and walked over to her suitcases. She pulled out an outfit before making her way over to the bathroom.
After she was finished getting dressed, we packed up everything. The three of us double checked the entire room, to make sure we didn't forget anything before we headed downstairs to checkout.
While my mother was checking out, I ordered us an Uber to the airport. I didn't drive here so, the three of us will have to take an Uber. It would be pointless to drive my car since, we'd be leaving the very next day.
The three of us waited in the hotel lobby as we waited for our Uber. "I'm starving." I announced. "Let's get something to eat at the airport." Santana suggested. "Fine but, airport food is too expensive." I sighed.
"We could split a meal while we wait. It should be able to hold us until we board the plane. They'll feed us on a real meal plane." My girlfriend pointed out. "Sounds like a plan." I smiled.

My mom, Santana, and I boarded the plane and we thanks to Chanel, they gave us first class seats. My parents may be well off but, this is my first time sitting in first class. I'm happy that I can experience with my girlfriend.
I'm also happy that I'm able to give my mother this experience. I'm happy that I'm at a point in life where I can start giving back to my parents. Even though it's nothing compared to what they did for me and my siblings.
It's a start. Santana and I are sitting next to each other while my mother is sitting in the row next to us. There's two chairs per row so, I'd rather sit next to my partner then my mother.
While we were waiting for people to board the plane, Santana and I took a bunch of selfies. Not only for memories but, for bragging rights. Nobody back home has ever flew first class.
Hell, I don't think any of them even have traveled by air before. So, this will be added to the list of things I'll be bragging about when I return to Lima.
"We're taking off. Soon, I'll be in Paris." Santana said excitedly. I smiled as I watched my girlfriend ramble excitedly. "Once we land, we have to check into our hotel and then head back out." I informed her.
She looked at me confusedly. "The three of us have fittings to go through." I informed her as I pulled out my neck pillow. "Fittings?" Santana asked confusedly.
"Yep. You didn't think you were wearing your own clothes, did you?" I asked. "Chanel is styling us for the Chanel show. Our pictures re going to be taken so, we must look our best." I stated.
"We'll also be getting our hair and makeup done." I informed her. "And all that is for free?" Santana asked in disbelief. "My modeling agency has a team that does my hair and makeup. I don't pay a dime." I shrugged.
"Honestly, I'm just excited for you to get a taste of my world. You've only seen the behind the scenes of my photo shoots. This is nothing compared to that." I said excitedly.
Us going together, will be like we're announcing ourselves as couple to the world. Which, is a little scary. Not only because of social media but, some brands aren't very LGBTQ friendly. I don't wanna get blacklisted.
A few months ago, I went to my first fashion show. It was for Calvin Klein and it was hosted in New York so, I didn't have to travel too far. That was my first time ever attending an event like that before.
Yes, I might've gone to a few minor press events for my mother's boutique but, it was nothing like that. There's going to be we'll known celebrities at this show. I also plan on meeting some of my friends while I'm here.
My friends Lisa, Roseanne, and Jisoo are also attending some of the fashion shows. We're all with different brands so, we won't see each other until all of or business commitments are completed.
Well, except for Jisoo. Jisoo and I are attending the Dior show together. Though, I doubt our seats are near each other. Lisa is going to the Celine show and Roseanne is going to the YSL show.
I've been friends with them for years now. I met them when I used to live in South Korea. Since we were young at the time, our parents exchanged numbers so we could keep in touch.
During my brief time in Japan, the girls flew over to Japan during their school break to visit. My first year in New Zealand was difficult for me. It was a completely new environment with people I don't know.
I'm assuming my parents caught onto that because, the three of them appeared on my front door step during my summer break. Apparently, our mothers were in cahoots and they planned a surprise trip for us.
As we grew up, we still kept in touch. We FaceTime all the time though, I haven't seen them in person in years. It's been almost a decade since the last time I've seen them in person. I'm excited to see them.
Once our plane landed my mom, Santana, and I filed off of the plane and headed to our baggage claim. After we retrieved our bags, we waited for our driver to pick us up so, he can take us to our hotel and then our fittings.
"Greetings, Ms. Kim and company. My name is Paul and I'll be your driver during your stay in Paris." My driver greeted us as he walked over to us. "May I take your bags?" The older man asked.
"Of course." I smiled. He loaded our bags into the trunk of the car. The three of us climbed into the SUV and fastened our seatbelts. "First stop is to your hotel. Please help yourselves to the snack I prepared for you all." He smiled.
"I think I could get used to this." Santana smiled. "You haven't seen nothing yet." My mom smiled as she ate one of the packaged macaroons.
