While Kairon spoke to my mother on the cellphone, i took the groceries out of the vehicle .
He offered a hand but i declined.
Taking last bag of groceries out of the trunk, i close it with my elbow and walked towards the door that's lead to interior of the building.
I then closed the door with my foot and made my way to the kitchen .
I found Kairon propped in the couch listening to my mother speaking, with my phone rested on the coffee stand and his phone in hand, maneuvering over the screen.
He raised his eye brows when a notification chimed in and quickly masked it.
Hmmm.
I placed the groceries on the counter top and started to unpack them, putting them in their respective areas.
"Weh yuh say you did wah talk to me bout me son." My mother said, emphasizing on the son.
I glanced at Kairon and caught him looking over at me. He told my mother that he'll talk to her about it another time and give her his cellphone number.
The call then hung up and he marched over to me.
"So babes." He started.
I stopped packing and looked up at him.
"Me know me did say we a spend the whole day together today but me ago a quick run wid Kiers to Ragsdale yer.
and a the branch ina Kingston so it nah take more than 30 minutes."
I hissed my teeth and continue what i was doing.
"Karissa."
"So this cah put off till another day? A wah so urgent?" I asked, putting the cereal box back on the counter and folding my arms.

"So this cah put off till another day? A wah so urgent?" Karissa said derisively, folding her arms while giving me a once-over.
Ah bwoy. One ting wid mada miserable enuh, she ago take any opportunity fi argue wid me cause wah dis fah?
"Bredgin buil nuh. Me know yuh hear the word Ragsdale so obviously a business dis." I informed her.
But Karissa took up the cereal box aggressively and continued packing the groceries, "Gwaan bout yuh business Kairon."
Even though I know this wont change anything , I held her by her waist and kissed her on her forehead.
She pushed away my hands and I sighed, walking out of the house towards my vehicle before the argument arises.

When I arrived at Ragsdale, I pulled the building door and went in search of Kiers.
I took out my device to call him and ask him where he was but put it back when I him, his girlfriend and Jayvion seated together at the lounging area having a conversation.
I interrupted them, "Me deh ina the place now enuh."
Kiers looked up at me and leaned back in the seat, placing his hand around Ana, "Dawg yuh ever late. Change dat fi the likkle new year mon."
I chuckled and sat in the spare seat facing them, "Coulda reach earlier but babes never me go no where."
Ana and Kiers looked of me with shock when I said that, with Jayvion having a weird expression on his face.
He then looked away and at something random, resting his hand on his head as he slant his body into the seat and shook his leg.
"Wait. A over your place Rissa deh?" Ana asked, easing up from her seat so she could hear what I have to say.
"Ye."
"No wonder sister gyal she nuh text me. Me baby in love."
"Ana" Kiers said sternly, "Back to the program."
She looked at him and layed back unto his arm, playing with her ring.
"The vehicle fi your B birthday a land next week Thursday enuh Kairon." He continued. "But memba say me and you ago ina one meeting so how that ago work?"
"Simple, make a man collect it offa the ship and sign for it." I responded, clasping my hand and leaning forward.
"Yeah but who?"
I looked at him as if he's speaking gypsy, "Wah? Jayvion nah go free?"
Ana and Kiers looked in between each other then looked at Jayvion for his response.
Lost out of this world, Jayvion looked back at us and fixed his posture when he saw us looking at him, "A wahm?"
"A bout the vehicle fi Karissa birthday. Collect it fimmie nuh and sign for it. A true me and Kiers nah go deh-deh fi sign for it and a trust you enough fi dweet." I asked
"Ago have tings fi do ina the day but if me free me will maths up dat." He said with a grimace expression, diverting his gaze from us.
The fuck do dah ute yah these days.
"Ah you know wah. See true a my ooman, me will pay the fine or whatever them a charge fi overstay pon the ship and collect it a next day." I said with frustration
"So wah bout me? Me can drive." Ana interjected.
I smiled at her offer, "Yeah you could but it a come down ina the company name so a one a we affi dweet and sign for it."
"Oh oh, me understand." She said, picking something off Kiers face.
Dem lover birds yah dawg.
"We done now?" Not waiting for an answer I stood up, getting ready to leave.
Kiers shook his head, "Follow me go talk to one employee deh. Anna see the car key here, me will see you when me reach home."
She took the key from his hold and kissed him then left.
Jayvion then stood up, "me ago cut outta dis enuh so see unuh ina the lates."
"Wull on, me wah have a talk wid yuh." I told Jayvion,
"Kiers me will ketch up to yuh." He nodded his head and went in the direction of the conference room.
I averted my gaze to Jayvion, "Bredgin, a waa yuh problem?"
He then started to laugh as if I said something funny, "Weh yuh mean?"
"True me see you a gimmie a cold shoulder but it look like a me a pree too much ina it." I said, knowing it's the opposite.
Me know when a man a move certain way.
"No mon me general. We gov" He said, even though it was blatantly obvious that something is wrong. "Just nuh too ina nobody like one time, yuh know?"
Regardless I said "Know dem way deh mon. But ah, me a come hurry up and done wid yasso before likkle miss sassy start ring off me phone yuh zimmie."
He looked down at his shoe and said, "Ah G" , then dapped me up and left.
Either something wrong wid me or dah man yah have feelings fi Karissa. A man just try make sure it anuh the latter.

After spending longer than I've promised at Ragsdale, I pushed the door open and heard a male voice speaking to Karissa and her laugh came after,
"Me nah too look pon you enuh Jay. If me follow you essi you put me ina trouble."
I stepped ina the living room and she acknowledge my presence, "Hey." she said with a chirpy smile.
"Wahm"
"Nothing. You alright." She asked with concern.
"Alright fren, later since yuh busy now." The male said again.
"Who dat?" I asked her and she hung up the phone and placed it on the couch walking towards me.
She then fling her arms around my neck and tipped on her toes to kiss me on my lips.
I grabbed her hand, and placed it around my waist since she was straining my neck, "You a avoid me question."
She rolled her eyes at my statement, "Me nah avoid nothing. Just cah take the contention.
A me school friend who you did vex bout."
I stared at her as she came with her shit of an explanation, "Nothing nah gwaan between we Kairon. Him have him ooman. He's just a flirt and did a ask me fi one me friend dem. That's all."
"Anything you say stills." I asked, rubbing her back then went upstairs, leaving her downstairs.
I took off my shirt and my jeans pants that I wore today and placed it in the wash.
I then took a jogger from my dresser and began putting it on. Just then Karissa came into the room,
"You alright? Yuh mood seem off."
I looked at her and inhaled and exhaled loudly, "Siddung desso me wah talk to you."
She moved to the front of the bed and sat on it waiting for me to talk. "What's up? Why you take so long fi come home."
I smiled at the fact that she classified my house as home.
"Did ina one meeting wid two employee cause one conflict did arise."
"Oh." she said dryly, fidgeting with her fingers.
I held her hands and stood between her legs, "Anuh nothing fi yuh worry bout B.
"Me nuh say nothing."
"Karissa me know how you stay.
Anyways make me ask yuh something."
She tilted her head with a confused expression, waiting for me to continue.
Me nuh wah seem like a pussy watcher enuh but fuck it.
"You supposed to know Jayvion don't it.. Him ever bring a certain argument to yuh before" I asked.
"Wah kinda argument? As in fi look me?"
When I didn't respond nor budge, she continued "No Kairon, he didn't. A wah?"
"Nothing." I said, and pecked her on her lips.
She then twisted her hands out of my hold and pulled my jogger pants string so I could go closer to her.
I smirked at her shyness, "Yuh wah fuck?"
Her cheeked heated up when I said that and she let go of my strings, "No! yuh too horny. Dinner is ready so come eat."
She jumped off the bed and began dragging my hand so I could follow her downstairs.
"So lay back down nuh."
She stopped for a second and looked back at me with her eyes wide open as if I didn't just say what I said.
I chuckled and placed my hand in the pocket as she held the other. My hand brushed against my phone and i remembered the text message from this morning.
