Dad- "You will have my answer this evening"
Lissy- "Okay," I said as I sat back down on the couch after he left
Now...
Lissy- I laid down on the couch and stared at the ceiling hoping my Dad would let me go. Most likely he will since I've been on his good side recently. I have also been thinking and playing how this evening could play out. I closed my eyes and dozed off to sleep
-1 Hour Later-
2:00 pm
Lissy- I shifted to my side and opened my eyes and saw my Dad sitting at his desk working on his laptop. I sat up then yawned and rubbed my eyes.
Dad- I look up and see Lissy has woken up for her nap. "How was your nap"?
Lissy- "Good. What time is it"?
Dad- "It's 2:00 Danny is picking up food from a Kamekona Shrimp truck right now"
Lissy- I nodded and then said "What did you get me"
Dad- "Garlic and butter" I replied
Lissy- "Okay. Can I go to the bathroom"? I asked getting up from the couch
Dad- " Yes but I want you to...." I said
Lissy- "Yeah yeah be back in 10 minutes. I know" I sat cutting him off as I stood up
Dad- "Lose the attitude, Allyssa," I said sternly looking at her
Lissy- "whatever" I mumbled starting to leave his office
Dad- "Allyssa," I said standing up from my seat
Lissy- "What"? I said stopping by the door
Dad- " You need to lose that attitude".
Lissy- I rolled my eyes
Dad- "I mean it, Allyssa. You either lose that attitude or I can give you my answer now. And the answer will be a no. I said folding my arms across my chest
Lissy- "Fine"
Dad- I raised my eyebrows at her
Lissy- "Yes Sir," I said. I waited for a second to see if I would be able to leave
Dad- I nodded my head indicating that she can leave. "Remember to be back in ten minutes Lissy"
Lissy- "I will"
-10 minutes later-
2:15 pm
Lissy- I walked back into the main office of Hawaii Five-O after using the bathroom. I got done with a few minutes to spare. I walked back to my Dads office only to find him on the phone. I sat down on the sofa and pulled out my phone. I started to scroll through Instagram as I waited for my Dad to be done with his phone call. I wanted to ask him about tonight but I had to wait until he was done. After I knew for sure he was done with his phone call I said "Dad"?
Dad- "Hmm"?
Lissy- "Have you thought about letting me go"?
Dad- "Yes I have"?
Lissy- "And"?
Dad- "You may go..."
Lissy- "YES"!!
Dad- "Allyssa," I said warningly
Lissy- "Sorry," I said realizing that I shouted a bit too loud
Dad- "Like I was saying you may go work on your project with your friends"
Lissy- "Thanks Dad"
Dad- "But..."
Lissy- "Why is there always a but"? I groaned
Dad- "Allyssa" I was said with a serious tone
Lissy- "What"?
Dad- "Watch it"
Lissy- "sorry" I mumbled
Dad- "As I was saying but before you can go there are some rules you will have to follow"
Lissy- "Awww...Dad"
Dad- "But if aren't able to follow these rules you don't have to go"
Lissy- "No I can"
Dad- "Good. As for the rules you are not allowed to leave the library under any circumstances"
Lissy- "So if there is a hurricane, tsunami, or tornado I'm not allowed to leave and die"?
Dad- "You know what I mean Allyssa. I expect you to be at the library when I pick you up. Nowhere else. Do you understand"?
Lissy- "Yeah I do"
Dad- "Good. I have some work to do so you can get started on that book report.
Lissy- I looked at him wondering how does he know
Dad- " I'm your Dad. I find out everything"

-45 Minutes Later-
3:00 pm
Danny- "Foods here," I said walking into Steve's office with food
Dad- "Thanks Danny"
Lissy- I got up and my Dad handed me my box. I took it and went back to the couch to sit down. I opened it and took a bite out of it
Dad- I grabbed my food and I noticed Lissy just grabbed the food but didn't thank Danny. I cleared my throat but she didn't hear me. So I said "Allyssa" I bit loud and stern
Lissy- I looked up and saw my Dad staring at me. Uh oh. What did I do now? I wondered
Dad- I gestured with my eyes towards Danny hoping she would get the message
Lissy- I saw his eyes gesturing towards Uncle Danny. "Oh...thanks Uncle Danny"
Danny- "No problem Lissy"
-1 hour Later-
Lissy- "So when can we go"? I asked as we finished eating lunch together. We mainly chit-chatted about stuff.
Dad-"Well right now it's 4:00 so maybe like in a half hour or so," I said looking at my watch
Lissy- "Remember I'm supposed to be there at 5:00," I said t
Dad- "I remember. I'll get you there on time. Don't worry about it"
Lissy- "Okay," I said getting up from where I was sitting and moving to the couch and laying down
Dad- "Lissy can you throw away your trash please"
Lissy- "Do I have to"?
Dad- "Allyssa"
Lissy- "What"?
Dad- I raised my eyebrows at her
Lissy- "Fine" Getting the hint
-30 minutes later-
4:30 pm
Lissy- I've been "working" on my book report. Meaning I haven't done anything about it. I have been mainly surfing the internet and switching to Word Document whenever my Dad or Uncle Danny would walk by me. "When are we leaving"? I asked seeing it was 4:30 pm
Dad- "I'm almost an at a good stopping point then I'll drop you off at the library"
Lissy- "Okay," I said going back to working on my 'book report' that my Dad thinks I'm working on.
-15 minutes later-
4:45 pm
Dad- " Alright let's go," I said closing my laptop and standing up
Lissy- I nodded as I logged off my laptop and packed all of my school stuff into my backpack.
-Drive-
Dad- "So who's all going"?
Lissy- "Stephanie, Erica, David, and Matt"
Dad- "What class is this for again"?
Lissy- "Science"
Dad- "What's the project going to be about"?
Lissy- "Solar system"
*Library*
Dad- " Right now it's 5:00. I'll be back here at 6:45 to pick you up" I said pulling in front of the library
Lissy- "Okay Dad," I said grabbing my backpack.
Dad- "Remember you are not to leave the library," I said parking the truck
Lissy- "I won't," I said unbuckling my seatbelt
Dad- "Have fun and be safe"
Lissy- "Yeah having fun doing homework," I said as I opened the door
Dad- "I'll see you later Lissy"
Lissy- "Bye Dad," I said as I got out
Dad- "Bye Lissy. I love you"
Lissy- "Love you too," I said as then closed the door and walked up to the library
Dad- I watched her go inside and then drove off.
*Palace*
Danny- "So you let her go to the library"?
Steve- " Yes I did"
Lou- "Why"?
Steve- "She had a school project due and she said that her friends needed to work on it tonight"
Adam- "And you believed her"?
Steve- "What else was I supposed to do? Prevent her from doing her part of the project? Besides I can't have the come-over here."
Lou- "Did you think of offering for them to cover over to your place or have Lissy go over their houses"?
Steve- " Yes but Lissy says they wouldn't come over and she knows that I won't let her go over to people's houses without knowing the parents. Plus I don't want to hear her complain either"
Danny- "Well hopefully letting her go to the library goes well"
Steve- "Look can we get back to our case"?
6:30 pm
Steve- I checked the time and it read 6:30 pm. "I'll be right back. I got to go pick up Lissy"
Danny- "I'll go with you"
Steve- "Why"?
Danny- "Because in case she isn't there. I got to calm you down"
Steve- "Fine. Let me go grab my keys and wallet" I said then headed to my office. We both left the palace.
*Drive*
Danny- "How sure are you that she is there"?
Steve- "I'm not but I'm hoping for her sake that she is. I told her that isn't allowed to leave"
Danny- "When has that ever stopped Lissy from not listening to you"?
Steve- "Never but I'm trying my very best to let her have more freedom. I don't want to be that father who doesn't let their daughter do anything"
Danny- "True but has she proven to you that she doesn't deserve to have that freedom"?
Steve- "Of course she has but you know how Lissy can be"
Danny- "I do"
Steve- I pulled up to the library and parked the truck in a parking spot. I pulled out my phone and texted Lissy that I was here. I waited for about a few minutes but I didn't get a reply back from her. I even saw that she didn't even look at the message. "Hmm"
Danny- "What's wrong"?
Steve- "She hasn't read the text yet"
Danny- "Maybe her phone died"?
Steve- "Could have but not possible since her phone was charged when I dropped her off plus she had her charger with her. Even then she doesn't let her phone out of her hands unless it's taken away from her"
Danny- "Sounds like Gracie"
Steve- I called her but it went straight to voicemail. I tried again but again straight to voicemail again.
Danny- "No answer"?
Steve- I shook my head no. A couple of seconds later I said "Something doesn't feel right"
Danny- "What do you mean"?
Steve- "I have a feeling that something is off but I don't know what"
Danny- "Do you think something happened to her"
Steve- "I don't know but I'm going in"
Danny- I followed him into the library.

Steve- We got in and I scanned the library to see if I would spot Lissy. But didn't see her. Danny and I split up to cover the library more quicker. After looking around for a few minutes we didn't find her. I went up to the receptionist to see if she saw Lissy and her friends at all. "Excuse me, ma'am"
Receptionist- "Yes"?
Steve- "I'm looking for my daughter. I dropped her off earlier she that can study with her friends but now I'm not able to find her"
Receptionist- "What does she look like"?
Steve- I showed her a picture of her to the receptionist
Receptionist- "Oh yes I remember her"
Steve- "Do you know where she is"?
Receptionist- "I saw her leaving soon after she came in"
Steve- "Do you know where she went"?
Receptionist- "No Sir"
Steve- "Did she leave with anyone"?
Receptionist- "I think she left with a young man"
Steve- "Do you remember what he looks like"?
Receptionist- "No I don't"
Danny- I was looking around and saw a security camera. "Does that security camera work"? I pointed to it
Receptionist- "Yes"
Danny- "We will be needing to look at that"
Receptionist- "I'm sorry but I can't do that"
Danny- Steve and I showed her our badge. She quickly directed us to an office and pulled up the security footage.
Steve- "I'm calling her again," I said but no answer once again
Danny- "Hmmm"
Steve- "I'll be needing this footage," I said looking at the receptionist
Receptionist- "Certainly"
-Palace-
Steve- We walked into the office and walked straight to the tablet and pulled up the security footage from the library there.
Tani- "Were is Lissy"?
Steve- "I don't know"?
Lou- "What do you mean"?
Danny- "Lissy wasn't at the library when we got there"
Steve- "Apparently she left with some guy after I dropped her off"
Danny- "We were able to get the security footage from the library"
Steve- I rewatch the video. I see her walk into the library after I had dropped her off. She then walked up to a teenage boy who was sitting at a table. At first, I was thinking that he was one of her friends who were in her class. But a few seconds later I got a better view of his face and he wasn't a teenage boy. He was a young man. He looked much older than a teenager, about 26 years old. That's like almost ten years older than Lissy is. Who is that young man I wondered? They talked for little awhile and then left the library together. "Go back," I said
Tani- I nodded
Steve- "Stop," I said when his face was in full view.
Tani - I stopped the video footage
Steve- "Run his face through facial recognition"
Tani- "Got it"
Steve- I stood there with my arms crossed as we waited. After a few minutes, we got a match with a guy named Ian Wright. My blood boiled when I saw his face pop up. Who is this jerk meeting up with my daughter or better yet why in the world is my daughter meeting up with this guy? "I want every single information about this Ian Wright guy"
Tani- "Got it"
