-Outside the police station-
Lissy- We walk outside and towards the truck. I walk to the passenger side and my Dad walks to the driver's side.
Dad- I unlock the truck and said to Lissy "Get in"
Lissy- My Dad and I get in and close the door. I sit there staring forward not looking at him.
Dad- I turn the truck on after we both buckled. I sat there for a minute before backing out and leaving the parking lot.
-Drive Home-
Lissy- I glance over at my Dad and see him gripping the steering wheel hard. Hard enough that his knuckles are turning slightly white. We sat there in silence for a little bit.
Dad- I looked over at Lissy and see her leaning her head against the car door. I couldn't believe her.
Lissy- "Dad..."
Dad- "Save it Allyssa" I interrupted her
Lissy- "Dad..."
Dad- "Allyssa I advise you to be quiet right now. I don't want to hear anything from you until we get home"
Lissy- I nodded my head
Dad- I didn't want to hear her excuses or apologies at that moment. I was extremely upset and angry with her. I knew that it was for both of us we rode in silence. I drove back to the house.
-Home-
Dad- We got home and went inside. I placed my keys and wallet down on the table next to the door.
Lissy- I stood there not knowing what to do next
Dad- "Go upstairs and get ready for bed," I said
Lissy- I nodded then went upstairs to my room.
Ring Ring
Phone call...
Steve- "Hey Danny"
Danny- "What did Lissy do"?
Steve- " She got arrested at a party that gets too loud and out of control. I also smelled alcohol ok her when I went to go pick her up"
Danny- "She planned this"
Steve- "Of course she did. Now I know why she asked to stay home"
Danny- "This didn't occur to you when she asked"
Steve- "It did but I got to let her make her own mistakes and hopefully learn from them"
Danny- "What do you mean"?
Steve- " It means that I knew that she planned to go to this party"
Danny- "You knew"?
Steve- " Of course, I knew but I was hoping she would either tell me the truth or she wouldn't go"
Danny- "She didn't do either"
Steve- "Now she has to face the consequences"
Danny- "What are you going to do"?
Steve- "Grounding, extra chores and lecture on drinking"
Danny- "Good luck my friend"
Steve- "Thanks. See you tomorrow" I said to then ending the call
End of phone call
Dad- I headed upstairs to Lissy's room
Knock knock
Lissy- I sat up on my bed when I heard the knock. "come in" I replied
Dad- I walked in and went over to the desk chair and pulled it out. I moved it over to where her bed was and sat down in it.
Lissy- Oh no....he is sitting down
Dad- "What happened tonight"? I asked calmly
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- " I know for a fact that you heard me, Allyssa"
Lissy- (no response again)
Dad- "Allyssa I'm starting to lose my patience. Now answer the question"
Lissy- "I snuck out of the house after you told me not to"
Dad- "What else"?
Lissy- "I got arrested"
Dad- "If you had stayed home like you were supposed to none of this would've happened. Right"?
Lissy- I nodded
Dad- I cleared my throat
Lissy- I looked up and saw him raising his eyebrows at me. " Yes Sir"
Dad- "I don't know what to do anymore Allyssa. You ask me to give you more freedom by staying home this evening and not going to the palace with me. So I agreed even though I didn't want to. I thought you were ready to show me that you were mature and responsible enough yet you have shown to me that you are not"
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "With that being said. You are grounded until further notice and I'm not leaving you here or anywhere by yourself again until I on my own think you can be yourself without having adult supervision"
Lissy- "fine"
Dad- "You are also going to have extra chores as well"
Lissy- I nodded
You guys can think how the rest of the punishment and how that part played out.
If you think Lissy deserved more or not.
