Lissy- "your credit card," I said softly. I looked up and saw my Dad's face. I gulped when I saw it. Shit!

Dad- I took a deep breath as I was trying to control my anger. I couldn't believe her. "I can't hear you"
Lissy- "Your credit card," I said a bit louder
Dad- "Are you telling me that you stole my card and bought a phone without my permission"? I asked
Lissy- I nodded
Dad- " Are you kidding me"? I raised my voice
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "What were you thinking"?
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- " I asked you a question, Allyssa"
Lissy- "I wasn't thinking"
Dad- "Clearly you weren't thinking because if you were you wouldn't have stolen my credit card and bought a second phone"
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "I cannot believe you, Allyssa. Going behind my back and buying a second phone when I already gave you one"
Lissy- "So what's my punishment"?
Dad- "The phone that you bought is gone forever and the phone I got you is gone as well"
Lissy- "You can't do that"!
Dad- "I can't do what"?
Lissy- "Take my phone. I need it"!
Dad- "Need it"?

Lissy- "How long is my phone going to be gone for"?
Dad- "That all depends on your behavior and attitude but I know you won't be getting your phone back at least a month"
Lissy- "A month"!
Dad- " I said at least a month. It could be longer"
Lissy- "Longer than a month"!
Dad- "Like I told you it all depends on your attitude and behavior during this month. The way you act and behave all determines when you get to have your phone back"
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "And honestly, I don't think you should get your phone back at all"
Lissy- My face fell when he said that. "Why"?
Dad- " You have proven to me time after that time that you don't deserve to have a phone"
Lissy- "I should have a right to have a phone"
Dad- "A right? You think that you should have a phone because it's a right"?
Lissy- "Well yeah, I'm a teenager. Teenagers my age has a phone"
Dad- "So you think just because your friends have a phone you should have one too"?
Lissy- "Yes"
Dad- "I told you from the very beginning and even before when I gave you a phone that having a phone is a privilege, it is not a right. Yet you have abused that privilege multiple times either by being disrespectful, giving me attitude, not doing your chores, falling behind in school, and that resulting in you getting a bad grade or a bad report card."
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "In this leads me to take away your phone from you for some time but I do end up giving it back to you even though I don't think you should have it.
Lissy- "Why"?
Dad- " Why what"?
Lissy- "Why do you think I don't should have a phone"?
Dad- " You have proven to me that you don't deserve to have one, especially what you just did"
Lissy- "It's not my fault" I mumbled
Dad- "What's not your fault"?
Lissy- Shoot! He heard me.
Dad- " So, what's not your fault"?
Lissy- "Me buying a second phone"
Dad- "Explain to me why you buying a second phone isn't your fault"?
Lissy- (no response) I was hoping he wasn't going to ask me this.
Dad- "Well"?
Lissy- " Nevermind" Knowing my answer wouldn't make him happy
Dad- "No, tell me how this isn't your fault," I said fully knowing what she was going to say
Lissy- "It's not my fault because if you didn't take my phone I wouldn't have to buy a second one"
Dad- "Excuse me"? I said
Lissy- I froze in my seat.
Dad- "So let me get this straight. You are blaming me for your actions"?
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "I asked you a question, Allyssa"
Lissy- " I guess"
Dad- "You guess? You either are blaming me or you're not blaming me"
Lissy- "I am"
Dad- "I cannot believe you, Allyssa. You are seriously blaming me for your actions and behavior"?
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- " Me taking your phone doesn't have anything to do with you buying a phone. You made that choice when you stole my credit card and bought a phone"
Lissy- (no response)
Dad- "You are going to pay me back for that phone"
Lissy- "How"?
Dad- " By doing extra chores and you won't be getting your allowance either for a while"
Lissy- "whatever"
Dad- "Allyssa"
Lissy- "What"?
Dad- " Watch it. You are walking on very thin ice right now. Don't add to your punishment"
Lissy- "Anything else"?
Dad- "You are also grounded"
Lissy- "of course I am"
Dad- "And..."
Lissy-"There's more?
Dad- "What did you expect"?
Lissy- I shrugged my shoulders and said " I don't know"
Dad- "You are getting a spanking as well"
Lissy- "But Dad"
Dad- "But what Allyssa. What were you expecting to happen"
Lissy- "I just get grounded and I guess now besides paying you back"
Dad- "You bought a second phone without my permission and with my credit card.
Lissy- "So"?
Dad- "So, this punishment warrants more than just a grounding and paying me back"
Lissy- "But Dad"
Dad- "But what Allyssa"?
Lissy- "Nothing"
*After Spanking and Hugging*
Dad- "Go upstairs and get ready for bed"
Lissy- "Okay," I said as left his office and went upstairs

Lissy- I showered, did my nightly stuff, and got into my pajamas.
Knock knock
Lissy- "Come in," I said as I sat on my bed
Dad- I walked in and asked "You ready for bed"?
Lissy- "Uh-huh," I said getting under my sheets
Dad- "Goodnight Lissy, I love you"
Lissy- "Love you too Dad"
Dad- I kissed her forehead and hugged her. I got up and went to turn off her bedroom light
Lissy- "Dad"?
Dad- " Yes"?
Lissy- "When will I get my phone back "?
Dad- " Allyssa"
Lissy- "What? I was just asking"
Dad- "And I already gave you my answer earlier"
Lissy- "And"?
Dad- "You will get it when I think you deserve to have it back"
Lissy- "But I really want my phone back Dad"
Dad- "Goodnight Allyssa"
Lissy- "Dad"!
Dad- " What"?
Lissy- "So when do I get my phone back"?
Dad- "Enough Allyssa. You aren't getting your phone back anytime soon. So drop the subject"
Lissy- "But..."
Dad- "I mean it"
Lissy- "Fine"
Dad- "Get some sleep. You got a busy day tomorrow with doing extra chores"
Lissy- "whatever"
Dad- I decided to let that comment slide as I turned off her light and closed the door.
