Duncan quietly walked around the house, fully dressed up and making sure to keep himself quiet. He glanced at his mother's room from the window, checking to see if she was still in there. When he was sure that she was, he continued to make his way towards the door. Just then, he passed by the mirror and stopped as he stared into his reflection and held his throat lightly where he felt a little hot and dry ever since he has gotten his fight-or-flight ability called ''Fire Breath.''

He sighed and was open to open the door, but he ended up switching on the lights by accident and a familiar voice that makes Duncan flinch spoke from right behind him, "Duncan Rosenblatt."

He gasped, knowing that she was right behind him and that he was totally busted. He watched his mom walked up to him with her eyes narrowed from the mirror and smiled nervously as he cleared his throat a little.

"Where do you think you're going?" Margaret asked, giving her son's chest a firm yet soft tap, demanding to know an answer without any lies.
"Well, uhh, it's like this...I'm kind of going on...a date to a um, party," Duncan said, glancing at his mom's face here and there to see if she was upset or not.

Margaret's eyes widened at Duncan's words, "You were invited to a party? And you've a date?" she said before a very delighted smile appeared on her face. "Oh, I'm so happy!" she said happily as she pulled her son into a tight hug. Duncan smiled as he hugged her back, "Your confidence in my people skill is overwhelming, mom," he said before pulling away while Margaret continued to smile.

"Of course not! You've even gotten yourself a date! Let me guess. Is it that girl from the other day? (Y/n)? Oh, if it's her, I'm totally cheering you on for it," she said, and Duncan felt heat quickly rushing to his cheeks as he backed away towards the door.

"Umm...yea. Anyway, it's probably just a couple of dorks sitting around playing video games," he said as he reached for the handle.
"Well, I hope you have fun," Margaret said with a smile and Duncan smiled back as he went outside and closed back the door. He waved at her one last time before running out of the yard, heading towards (Y/n)'s house to pick her up.

It only took Duncan a few minutes to reach to (Y/n)'s house as he rushed all the way there, excited to see her since this was actually his first date with the girl he likes. He smiled when he saw her in the doorway, looking all so beautiful as always as she fixed her heels while holding her purse. For a moment, Duncan was taken back by how gorgeous she looks.

(Y/n) looked up and a bright smile appeared on her face when she spotted him. "Hey Duncan! You ready?" she said happily as she walked up to him.

"Hey! Umm...Y-yea. Sorry I was late," Duncan said and (Y/n) smiled as she shook her head. "No worries. I just finished as well. Thanks for picking me up by the way. Come on, let's talk on our way to the party," she said and the two of them smiled as they started walking together to where the party was.

"So, how was your day?" (Y/n) asked as she and Duncan walked side by side. "Nothing special. Just did my normal routine. How about yours?" Duncan asked and (Y/n) smiled as she shrugged, "I could say the same. Just reading one of the novels I bought not too while ago. Speaking of which, do you happen to like reading books like...I don't know novels and stuffs," she asked, and Duncan smiled, "I do, actually. Sometimes, I would just sit in my room all day, reading novels and some books I like...H-How did you know though? Most people usually think me of as more of a bad boy rather than a guy who likes to read," he said with a slightly amused smile, making (Y/n) chuckled at his words.

"I figured after we talked about how cockroaches remained unchanged for millions of years even after the evolution. Haha. You do have the bad boy vibes sometimes. I'd say...you're something in middle between a bad boy and a bookworm though," (Y/n) said and Duncan laughed as he jokingly patted his chest, "Ouch."

They laughed and continued to talk, enjoying their nice walk to the party. Soon, they eventually reached to the house where the party was.

(Y/n)'s pov,

Duncan and I stood at the door of the house where the party was. Duncan took a deep breath and glanced at me before knocking on the door.
Wow, he really has never been to a party.

A confused look appeared on his face when there was no answer. I smiled and gently put a hand on his arm, drawing his attention.
"Don't bother knocking again. I did the same when I went to my first party. They can't hear us with all the music inside. Come on," I said and took his hand as I casually opened the door and went in, pulling him along with me.

"Follow my lead," I said when we saw the living room being packed with people dancing here and there. Duncan nodded with a smile, and we started dancing our way around to get pass the crowd. I chuckled lightly when I saw how stiff he was and went to take his hand as I led him to where the drinks were. We grabbed ourselves a cup and finally sat down on the sofa where it was less crowded.

I sighed happily and took a sip.
"Whew. What a crowd," I said, jokingly and Duncan laughed as he started to relax while I waved at Jenna who waved at me as she passed by before she went to dance with her friends.
"So, um, do you often come to parties like this?" Duncan asked, trying to start a conversation which made me smile.

"Only once in a while. So... have you ever dated anyone before?" I said, blushing slightly and he blushed a little as he started to rub the back of his neck.
"Nope. I've never been on a date before actually. Umm...have you?" he asked as our eyes met again. My heart skipped a beat, and I blushed as I smiled nervously and looked away, "I've never been on a date either," I said and his eyes widened.

"Really? I mean...you're so pretty a-and gorgeous and not to mention that you have a great personality. How come no one ever asked you out on a date before?" Duncan said, putting his drink down and I couldn't help but smiled slightly at his words. Did he just call me pretty?
"Well...they do, but you know...most of them like Troy for example, just want to drag me into his little games like he does to Jenna or any other girls. All they do is just for fun while I want something more special like in... fairy tales," I said, sighing softly as I looked down.

A familiar hand in red sleeves gently held my chin and made me looked back into his eyes as he spoke, "And you deserve so much more than just something special."

I felt my cheeks started burning at Duncan's words and my heart starting to race a lot faster than before. I didn't know whether it was just because of the light from the fireplace that was near us or not, Duncan's features started to become more clearer in my eyes and everything else almost became a blur as he started to become the only one I see in this room.

Feeling a bit bold, I took a deep breath and leaned a bit more closer towards Duncan, never breaking my eye contact with his beautiful amber eyes. "Then...do you think we both could find it someday?" I questioned softly and Duncan's eyes fell onto my lips for a second before he looked backed into my eyes and smiled at me warmly, "I think we can."

I felt my hear starting to beat faster and louder than ever as Duncan started closing the distance between us slowly. There was something...there was like a spark between the two of us and we both weren't denying it.

His lips become more closer and closer to the point, I could feel his breath gently tickling my lips and I closed my eyes slowly, waiting for the kiss that was about to happen between us. Mm, did he always smell that good? Just when his lips lightly brushed mine, someone suddenly grabbed my arm from behind, yanking me away from Duncan which caused me to let out a startled yelp in surprise.

Urrgh! Of all the timing in the world, now?! I narrowed my eyes and looked up to see Troy as he glared at Duncan who glared back right at him.

"Wha-Troy! What's your deal?!" I yelled, glaring at him and he pulled me aside away from Duncan as he held my arm.

"Look, (Y/n). I know you don't want to talk to me, but this guy is bad news. You saw what happened in the cafeteria yourself! He can do freaky stuffs! Stay away from him!" Troy said and I narrowed my eyes as I yanked myself away from him and glared at him.

"What's up with you?! Stop talking like he's a freak and you have no right to talk about him like that!" I said and before Troy could say anything, the door slammed open and a very angry roared into the room, making the music stopped abruptly.
"Troy!"

Everyone gasped when they recognized who the man standing in the doorway was especially, Troy who flinched in pure fear when he heard his name being called. And everyone knew there was only one man in the world who can make Troy become like this.
He's so busted.

"What part of 'grounded' didn't you understand?" Troy's dad said sternly as he made his way towards us. Duncan immediately stood in front of me, pulling me behind him while we all watched Troy who almost whimpered as he was forcefully grabbed by the arm and was being dragged to the door by his dad, "You must be a glutton for punishment, boy."

Everyone started murmuring about what happened as Troy disappeared out of sight. At one point, I honestly felt kinda bad for Troy, but on the other hand, I was also glad that he was gone.

"Who was that?" Duncan asked as he raised his brow, pulling me back from my thoughts. "Oh right. You don't know about him yet. That's...his dad," I said and Duncan's eyes widened, "Wow. I guess the rage issue doesn't fall very far from the tree, huh?" he said and I forced up a smile since it was kinda true.

"Come on. Let's just go take some fresh air," I said, wanting to change the subject and Duncan smiled as he nodded. I was taken back by surprise when he took my hand and started leading me towards the balcony slowly. I blushed when I started to remember what almost happened a few minutes ago before Troy came.

I looked down and quietly let him guide me, trying to ignore the way how my cheeks were suddenly becoming so warm. I stopped when I saw a little creature disappeared between people's feet.

Huh? Was that...a Gomorradon?

"What's wrong?" Duncan called, noticing that I've stopped and I looked around for a while trying to spot that little creature once again, but it was nowhere to be found. Was I imagining it?

"Uhh...Nothing. I thought I saw something. I guess I imagined it," I said, looking back at Duncan who smiled as he continued to hold my hand tight and lead me through the crowd to the balcony. Then, we bumped into Isabel who smiled happily when she saw us.
"Well, well, look who took my advice and getting all cozy," she said with a smirk when she saw me and Duncan holding hands. She winked at me before smiling. "How're you guys enjoying the party?" she asked, and Duncan and I looked at each other before we shrugged, "Not bad for a start," I said and suddenly, someone screamed, making everyone jumped in surprise.
"THERE'S A RAT IN HERE!!"

"Whoa. Something just crawled on my leg!" someone else yelled again, making everyone gasped.

"My purse...it's in my purse!" I heard one of Jenna's friends yelled and I felt Duncan held my hand tighter as we started looking around at all the commotion going on.
"There's one right there!" someone yelped again and then, I saw it. A Gamorradon jumping into a bowl of juice. "It's them!" Duncan and I said at the same time as our eyes met while Isabel spotted them too, "The Gamorradons!" she said between her gasps.

Just then, the floor started cracking and everyone screamed as the ground started to shake violently and started to tear apart as if it was an earthquake. I gasped and tried my best to keep the balance as Duncan continued to hold my hand tight and pulled me to safety with him. And then, we froze when we saw it.

Blazing red eyes like fire and huge fangs.

Everyone started to scream even more when the huge kaiju stood up, its shadow dawning upon us as Duncan and I stood there frozen. "They didn't come alone! That's their master!" Isabel yelled, looking at the huge kaiju we all recognized.

Belloc.

"Kaiju! Look out!" People screamed as they started to run away.
"It's Belloc! Seriously...Belloc!" Isabel screamed as she put a hand on my shoulder, her eyes filled with fear.

"Run!" she yelled once again, and Duncan started running while still holding my hand while I pulled Isabel with me as we all started to run outside when Belloc started to take his step.

We hid by near a parked car which was able to hide all the three of us and watched as Belloc started to walk around, snarling his fangs.
It doesn't make sense. What's Belloc doing here?!

"It doesn't make sense! Why now?! Why here?!" Isabel said, holding her head in fear as she looked at us. I turned towards Duncan and noticed the hint of guilt in his eyes for a second before he looked at us. "Because I am here! He's looking for me!" he said, making our eyes widened. "What? Why?!" Isabel and I said at the same time, confused.

"Because he's not only Belloc, King of the Kaiju. He's also...my dad," Duncan said, glaring at Belloc who roared as he looked down at all the screaming people who were running away for their lives while my eyes widened in shock at Duncan's words.

BELLOC IS HIS DAD????!!!!!!!!!!!
