"All right, guys," Mr. Schue said writing on the whiteboard "um...Time to start thinking about song selections." Mr. Schue turned around and he wasn't looking too good, I think he's got a cold.
"Lookin' good, Puckerman. Someone's been eating their Wheaties." Santana said to Puck not paying any attention to Mr. Schue
"These guns are fully loaded." Puck said back to Santana
"Mr. Schue?" Rachel said "I, for one, think we should use our setlist for sectionals to start exploring the oeuvre of one Bernadette Peters.
"Someday, I'm gonna go to Paris and visit the oeuvre," Brittany said
"I just want to dance," Mike commented
"Mr. Schuester, you look a little green." Mercedes said being the only other one who seemed to notice Mr. Schue wasn't looking good.
"Um... I think I'm gonna go see the nurse."Mr. Schue said looking across the group of us "But first I feel like I should get you guys a sitter." Huh, a sitter? What?

"I'm shaking. And it's either from low blood sugar or rage." Kurt said to Mercedes and me as the three of us were in the cafeteria getting our lunch "I knew it was only a matter of time before Rachel tried to take over the Glee Club."
"I know, maybe we should have let Santana at her," I say. Ever since Mr. Schue went home sick Rachel had decided she would run glee, and she was making it all about her.
"We'll forget all about it tonight at bowling," Mercedes said to Kurt.
"I can't. Blaine asked me to hang out." Kurt said.
"I've been looking forward to it all week," Mercedes said
"Why don't you two go bowling without me?" Kurt asked Mercedes and I. Mercedes and I looked at each other quickly before looking away. Mercedes and I aren't really close if it wasn't for Kurt we probably won't talk outside of glee.
"Wait." I say cluing into what Kurt had said about Blaine "Are you two going out? because that would be great"
"Yeah If you are I think you need to come clean," Mercedes said
"What? No." Kurt defended " I don't want another Jessie... Rachel traitor scenario to overcome. Please, Mercedes, Carrie. Mum's the word."
"Boo," I say
"We'd be happy for you. I mean, we know how lonely you've been." Mercedes said
"All right, we just hang out. Nothing about the Glee club even ever comes up. It's just nice to have someone to talk to." Kurt said
"What is that supposed to mean?" Mercedes asked
"I mean someone like me." Kurt said "But I promise to make it up to you. We'll hang out Friday night." We made our way through the food selection. Mercedes started to push her way to where one of the lunch ladies brought out a fresh batch of Tatter tots.
"Excuse you," Mercedes said pushing past some guy, Kurt and I just following. The lunch Lady scooped some Tots onto Mercedes plate "A couple more." Mercedes said as the lunch lady scooped more onto her plate "Thanks."
"Wow, save some for the rest of us," I say to Mercedes, holding out my tray to the lunch lady for some tots of my own.
"So what are we going to do about Glee Club while Mr. Schue is sick?" Mercedes asked as the three of us made our way to a table.
"I have an idea. Have you met the new Spanish teacher?" Kurt said

I was in the choir room the next day, We were waiting for Miss Holliday to arrive. I was standing next to Puck who was buttering the floor so she would fall. "Dude, what are you doing?" Finn asked entering the room.
"Kurt got us a substitute, so I'm buttering the floor." Puck said getting up from the floor.
"But sectionals is, like, two weeks from now," Finn said
"Hey, Gigantor. We're all gonna swap names, yo."Artie said calling to Finn, Mercedes and Tina laughing in agreement.
"Um, did I hear something about a substitute?" Rachel asked walking into the room slipping on the buttered floor. I couldn't help but laugh
"Yes! It works!" Puck said high fiving me.
"Well, at least I didn't fall and break my talent." Rachel said getting back up and making her way to her chair "I'm fine." she said to Mercedes and Tina who were still laughing. Then Miss Holliday walked into the room sliding across the floor where Puck put the butter
"Oh, what the hell?" Artie commented watching the woman
"Hola, class. Nothing says "Bienvenidos" quite like a buttered floor." She said addressing the class. Kurt walked in behind her slipping on the buttered floor "Let's start with some introductions. My name is Holly Holliday. What's yours? Go." she said turning to Puck
"I'm Finn Hudson. I'm quarterback of the football team." Puck said doing a horrible impression of Finn.
"I'm Rachel Berry, his loud, loud girlfriend," Santana said from her chair
"I'm Mike Chang," Brittany said, Mike, nodding in approval, making me laugh again.
"Those aren't your names. You know why I know that?" Miss Holliday said
"You're psychic?" Brittany guessed
"I know this because I recently watched a video of you guys performing at regionals, where you came in last." Holliday said, "Maybe it's because the songs were about 30 years old, but..."
"Those songs are classics." Finn defended
"Those songs are amazing. But they sounded like somebody else's favourite songs. Not yours. Just sayin'."
"She speaks the truth," Brittany said
"I'm not your average, run-of-the-mill substitute teacher. I want you guys to do things that you want to do. I want you to have fun in our fabulous but fleeting time together. What do you say we have class outside today?" Holliday said
"It's raining outside," Mercedes said
"Well, then let's take a field trip to taco bell."
"Oh, yeah!" Brittany said
"Should we take up some medical-grade marijuana? I wish."
"It's really hard not to like this woman," Finn said
"Okay, no." Rachel started "We can't just goof off all day. We have to write a setlist for sectionals."
"You're right. What songs would you like to do?" Holliday asked, no one said anything as we were thrown off by the question "...Oh. Don't get asked that question much, do we?"
"Ms. Holliday is right. Mr. Schuester's setlist sometimes seems like he hasn't listened to the radio since the '80s." Kurt said
"True" I mutter
"He never listens to what I have to say." Puck said referring to the other week when Puck asked if we could sing Cee-Lo's new song 'Forget you'.
"Cee-Lo! That's what I'm talking about." Holliday said
"Snap. Okay, excuse me? What would you know about Cee-Lo? 'Cause you're like, 40." Santana said
"Top 40, sweet cheeks. Hit it!" Holliday said and the band started to play the song.

"Oh-oh-oh", Quinn, Brit, Santana and I started singing back up.
"I guess the change in my pocket wasn't enough I'm like "forget you and forget him, too Yeah, I'm sorry I can't afford a Ferrari But that don't mean I can't get you there" Holliday sang dancing in between Finn and Puck, "I guess she's an Xbox and I'm more an Atari" Holliday came back to the center of the room doing the robot "Mmh, but the way you play your game ain't fair" Holliday gestured for Kurt to join her which he did. "I pity the fool that falls in love with you" the two danced together.
"Oops, she's a gold digger Just thought you should know it" Us four of us girls sang meeting up in the center of the room.
"Ooh, ooh I've got some news for you Yeah go run and tell your little girlfriend I see you driving round town with the guy I love And I'm like 'forget you'" Everyone but Rachel started dancing.

By order of The now principal Sue, Tatter tots are sadly being banned, and she ordered Me and the rest of the Cheerios to get rid of them. So led by Santana and me, we entered the cafeteria and grabbed the tots out of the food line up. "Wait. Where do you think you're going with those?" Mercedes asked angrily.
"Principal Sue banned the tots," Santana said as the cheerios started dumping the tots in the garbage, included the tots already on people's plates.
"She can't do that!" Mercedes said to Santana, Brit, and I as we stood next to a trash can each with a full tray of tots.
"They look like deep-fried deer poop," Brittany said looking down at the tots.
"Take it up with principal Sue." Santana poured her tray into the trash, Brittany following her lead.
"Carrie" Mercedes said looking over to me.
"Sorry," I say pouring my tray into the trash and walking away.

"Look at this crap. Foam fish sticks? Principal Sylvester's only serving predigested food now to give us more energy. I mean, do I look like a damn baby bird?" Mercedes complained the next day when Kurt and I came to sit with her.
"Don't fret your culinary disappointments. I come bearing gifts." Kurt said to Mercedes
"You brought tots?" Mercedes asked hopefully
"I wish," I say sitting down.
"Better." Kurt said sitting down as well "I've set you up on a date. I get it. My new budding friendship with Blaine is making you feel left out, jealous."
"Who's the guy?" She asked unamused
"Anthony Rashad," Kurt said
"Why him?" Mercedes said looking over to where Anthony sat at the football boys' table. He was watching her, so she gave him a small wave.
"No reason," Kurt said
"Oh, so it has nothing to do with the fact that he's one of the five black guys at this school?"
"Uh, no, he is a wide receiver on the football team, he is very good-looking, and he is a member of the black student union."
"Any non-black activities?"
"I don't know... my Google search was a little..."
"I can't take this anymore."
"Mercedes, trust me, love is just around the corner," Kurt said as Karofsky walked past our table
"What's up, homo?" Karofsky said to Kurt making Kurt uncomfortable.
"That's not what I'm talking about," Mercedes said pulling out a large sketchbook and writing something on the page.
"I want the tots back too, but what could you do about it," I say figuring out what Mercedes was talking about. Mercedes raised up the sign she had just made that just read 'Tots'.
"Tots!" Some girls cheered, others joining in.
"Oh, my God!" Kurt said shocked
"Tots! Tots! Tots! Tots! Tots! Tots!" everyone around the cafeteria cheered

The New directions were all in the Choir room celebrating the return of Mr. Schue to the club. "All right, all right, thank you very much, guys. Please, please, sit down. Just... Thank you... For that and... and for all the kind words you said about me to Sue. The feelings are mutual. Now, we got to get crackin', though. We lost a few days there, and it's all gonna be about focus and hard work for the next couple of days." Mr. Schue was saying
"I guess Ms. Holliday really is gone." Puck said
"I know you guys liked her, and she was a lot of fun, but she and I both agreed that this is what was best."
Don't get us wrong, Mr. Schue, we always wanted you as our teacher. She was just kind of a nice break." Tina said
"She did loosen us up" Quinn added
"And she actually had some good ideas for a sub," Artie said
"Yeah. I get it. And maybe we can, uh, incorporate those..." Mr. Schue paused "after sectionals. Now, when I'm sick, there is only one thing that makes me feel better."
"Gin and juice."
"No. 'Singin' in the rain'. I must've watched it, like, ten times over the past three days. It's actually what inspired me to try this out as a contender for our first song at sectionals."
"When is the song from?" Sam asked
"Well, the movie opened in 1952. But-but... but it's... But it's really timeless." looking around the room I could tell no one was excited about this.
