Luna's Pov
Me, the trio, Leo just got back to the academy after a mission.
We actually ended up bring Sebastian, Nick and Alexis with us since we needed the extra help.
And since they're the best students so far at the academy and they're improving with their training they were the best ones for the job.
We all got off the hydra loop while carrying our bags with us and setting them down.
"Nice work, guys. That mission was a total success" Chase smiled and I nodded.
"Maybe for you. Nothing caught on fire or blew up. To me: colossal failure" Adam said while shaking his head.
"Adam I swear" I groaned while shaking my head at him, causing Alexis to giggle.
"Well, good news, you've got heat vision and a whole afternoon ahead of you. Go make something happen" Leo grinned while patting Adam on his shoulder.
Adam grinned at him and nodded as Leo walked away.
Then Bob walked over to Adam while carrying something in his hand with a huge smile on his face.
"Hey, Adam, check it out. While you were gone, I got to boogie board with the dolphins" Bob smiled.
He held up a boogie board that was now half a boogie board because of the big ass bite on the side of it.
"Bob, those weren't dolphins. These are clearly the bites of an angry catfish" Adam said.
"Wow! Is there anything you don't know?" Bob asked with a huge smile on his face before walking away.
Bree, Sebastian and Nick all looked at each other in worry.
"I don't think we should let those two play together anymore" Bree said.
"Uh-uh" Sebastian and Nick said together.
"No shit sherlock" me and Alexis scoffed, causing the both of us to look at each other with smirks on our faces.
"Hey, Chase, on the next mission, do you think I might actually be able to do something?" Sebastian asked while walking towards him.
"Well, you did get to do something. You, along with Alexis and Nick watched me be an amazing mission leader. Most people would pay to see that" Chase grinned.
Sebastian, Nick, Alexis and Bree gave him annoyed looks while I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"And then demand a refund" Bree said, causing me to giggle.
"I'm just saying, the whole purpose for me going on the mission was to get some hands-on training" Sebastian said.
"Yeah I agree with him" Nick nodded.
"I don't really care. I just want to go to bed and sleep" Alexis shrugged while crossing her arms.
Yeah, she's totally my sister.
"And you did. You handed me my flashlight and Nick handed me my lip balm. Thank you!" Chase smiled while patting him on the back.
"Bubba" I sighed at him.
Sebastian looked annoyed and fed up and Nick did too but not as much as Sebastian.
"But I'm the best student here! I've been acing all of my training exercises. Without practice how am I ever gonna be mission leader?" Sebastian asked.
"Oh, that's just it, you won't. 'Cause I'm mission leader" Chase scoffed as he got up from his chair.
Him and Sebastian started glaring at each other, causing me to sigh as I walked over to them.
"Alright ladies, you're both pretty. No fighting" I said while lightly pushing them away from each other.
"But yeah dude you can't be mission leader, too, because then I would have to make fun of both of you, and there just aren't enough hours in the day" Adam said.
We all looked at him weirdly as he sighed and patted his shoulder.
"I need some me-time" Adam said before walking away to look outside the big window.
"Hey, Chase, stop being such a control freak, okay? Sebastian seems perfectly capable" Bree said, making Sebastian smile.
"Oh, thanks" Sebastian smiled.
"My pleasure" Bree said in a flirty tone.
They both started smiling at each other in a flirty way and then they started laughing.
"Okay, our next mission: stopping that" Chase said.
"Yes please, that's just gross" I gagged in disgust while looking away.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Nick glaring at Sebastian while clenching his fists.
I sighed and shook my head at him, he obviously likes her but he's too afraid to say anything.
It's honestly annoying.
We then heard noises from outside, like water being splashed.
"Hey, look! I'm riding an angry catfish!" Bob yelled from outside, causing all of us to look out the window.
"Whoa, look at him go!" Adam chuckled while shaking his head but then his facial expression changed into a worried one.
"Yeah, that is not a catfish" Adam said, causing all of our eyes to widened.
"Bob!" Adam yelled.
"Buddy!" Nick and Alexis yelled as we all quickly ran out of the academy to get to Bob in time.
The Next Day
In The Training Area
Me and the trio were in the training area with the kids, just doing the usual training like we always do.
I was with Alexis while Bree and Adam were with Nick and Chase was with Leo.
Alexis had tried striking a punch at me, but I grabbed her arm as I turned around and flipped her over my shoulder.
She landed on her back as she groaned in pain while I smirked.
"You've gotta be better, but I'll say that you were doing better than last time" I said.
"Thanks" Alexis scoffed but I could see a small smile on her face.
I giggled and extended my hand for her as she took it and I helped her up.
We turned around to see Leo trying to punch Chase, but Chase easily grabbed onto his arm and shoved him to the ground and onto the mat.
"Ah!" Leo yelled when he landed on the mat.
I smirked and walked over to them as I wrapped my arm around Chase's waist.
"Progress isn't looking too good, is it dooley boy?" I asked.
"Thanks for stating the obvious Luna" Leo said in annoyance as he glared at me and got off the mat.
"It's what I do best" I shrugged.
This earned a chuckle from Chase as he turned around and pressed his lips onto mine.
I smiled into the kiss as I started kissing him back as I gently cupped his face with my hands as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Hey!" Spin yelled.
We both pulled away from the kiss and groaned in annoyance as we turned to see Spin walking angrily towards us.
"I just heard Leo go to go on a mission. Why'd he get picked and not me?" Spin asked.
"I wonder that myself sometimes too buddy" I said.
This earned laughs from Adam, Bree, Alexis, Nick and Chase as Leo glared at me while I just shrugged.
"Well, Spin, Leo, Sebastian, Nick and Alexis all excelled in their training this week. Plus, Mr. Davenport considered many other factors, like experience, bionic ability, social dynamics--" Chase started to explain but Leo cut him off.
"Too short, too young. Bye-bye" Leo smirked as he patted his head.
I glared at him as dad walked in and Spin made his way over to him, with me and Leo following behind him.
"Mr. Davenport, do you think I'm too young to go on missions?" Spin asked.
"Yes. And too short, I thought Leo just covered this" Dad said.
This made Leo smirk and nod while both me and Spin glared at him.
"But Leo always brags about how you sent him on a mission when he was young to stop a runaway train" Spin said.
"Uh, yeah, technically he wasn't 'sent,' he snuck on the train" Dad said, causing me to nod.
"But I was there. And I was awesome" Leo grinned while placing his hands on his hips.
"And reckless, annoying, dumb and stupid" I said while smacking him upside the head.
He winced and rubbed the back of his head while glaring at me while dad and Spin snorted in amusement.
"Look, just focus on your training and eventually your time will come" Dad said while placing his hand on his shoulder.
"This isn't fair! I'm never gonna get to go on a mission!" Spin groaned in annoyance and anger.
My entire face softened at his annoyance and anger.
I can see where he's coming from, I know he really wants to go on a mission but he just needs to be patient and wait for his time.
"See how I handled that, Leo, Luna? These kids are so lucky to have me" Dad smirked.
Me and Leo both gave him the 'really' looks.
"Too old, too vain. Bye-bye" Leo said as he walked away.
I snorted while dad scoffed and rolled his eyes before walking away.
I turned to see Spin still standing where he was with his arms crossed and his head down.
I let out a small soft sigh as I crouched down in front of him and grabbed onto his shoulder, making him look at me.
"Spin, buddy, your time will come soon. I promise. Right now it's best that you focus on your training so that you'll be ready to go on a real missions" I softly said.
"But I'm ready now. I know I am, but everyone just seems to doubt me and look down at me just because I'm a kid" Spin said.
I smiled softly at him as I gently caressed his cheek with one hand.
"I don't look down at you or doubt you. I know that you're a strong, independent, fierce and confident young man. Those are the reasons how I know that you can handle yourself and handle a mission" I smiled.
His frown turned into a huge smile.
"Do you mean that?" Spin asked.
I smiled softly at him as I cupped his face with both of my hands.
"Of course I do buddy, I'd never lie to you" I smiled at him as I kissed his forehead in a sisterly way.
"Your time will come one day. Just focus on your training and continue doing your best so that you're prepared and ready" I said.
He smiled and nodded enthusiastically at me, causing me to giggle.
"Thank you Luna, you're the best" Spin smiled as he hugged me.
My heart melted as I felt my eyes beginning to water as I hugged him back really tight.
"Anything for you buddy" I softly said.
I looked up to see Chase standing in front of us with his arms crossed and a soft smile on his face.
He sent me a wink and blew me a kiss, causing me to giggle and blow him a kiss back.
In The Common Area
I was walking around in the common area with dad and Bree as the students were walking around talking to each other.
"Look, I got to admit, Mr. Davenport, Luna, you guys did a really good job designing this place" Bree smiled.
"This academy is one of our greatest achievements" I smiled as I kissed dad's cheek.
Dad chuckled as he ruffled my hair and kissed me on the cheek before looking at Bree.
"Of all the things I've built, this is the thing I'm most proud of" Dad smiled and I nodded.
We then turned around when we heard the hydraloop coming up and when the doors opened our eyes widened in shock.
The one person that none of us wanted to see was standing right in front of us.
"Morning, Don. Morning, girls" Perry smiled while waving at us.
Oh you've gotta be fucking kidding me right now.
Dad quickly turned to me and Bree with wide eyes and a crazy look on his face.
"The island is contaminated. Get everyone to the life boats. We can blow it up. I wasn't that attached to it anyways" Dad said while smiling weirdly at us.
Me and Bree looked at him weirdly before turning to Perry.
"How did you get on our hydraloop?" Bree asked.
"I dated your security guard for 3 weeks to gain his trust. When that didn't work, I knocked him out and stole his keys" Perry said.
"How much ocean do we have to put between us to get away from you?" Dad asked as he walked towards her with a glare.
"Ain't enough water in the world. My webbed toes double as flippers. When I spread them out, they look like baby pterodactyls" Perry said.
"Why the hell are you here?" I asked.
"I retired. The school just wasn't the same without my favorite freaks to torment. I tried, but I couldn't hate the new kids as much as I hate you guys" Perry smiled at me and Bree.
The both of us just rolled our eyes at her as she smiled and turned to look at dad.
"Anywho, a little birdie told me your robot school is looking for an administrator" Perry grinned.
"Yeah, we're not. But tell you what, leave your resume and we'll call you if we lose our minds" Dad deadpanned.
"Oh, how about a gardener?" Perry asked.
"No" Dad said.
"Short order cook?" Perry asked.
"No" Dad said.
"Unlicensed psychotherapist?" Perry asked.
"No!" me and dad yelled.
"Look, I'm bored and I want to get back in the game. Just tell me what you need. I could be your barber. Nobody likes pretty girls with long hair" Perry said as she pretended to cut our hair with her hands.
Me and Bree got annoyed and shoved her hands away from us as I started fixing my hair.
"Okay. The only thing we need is a security guard to keep people like you out" Bree said in annoyance.
Perry gasped in realization while I groaned and facepalmed.
Why Bree? Just why?
"Yes! I could be your head of security" Perry gasped as she turned to face dad.
"I've been a warden, a guard, any position in prison, I've held it, including inmate" Perry smiled as she pointed at herself.
"Sorry, cell block Sally, we're not hiring" I said as dad nodded and he quickly started pushing her towards the hydraloop.
"But you need me!" Perry yelled but dad ignored her and shoved her inside the hydraloop as the doors closed.
The three of us sighed in relief but then we heard a ripping noise as we turned around to see Perry's shirt in between the doors of the hydraloop.
"Her shirt got stuck" Bree said while giggling just a bit.
"Yeah, that's the mainland's problem now" Dad said while holding up his hands.
"Agreed" I said before walking away.
In The Training Area
We were back in the training area training with the other students.
Alexis and Nick were both trying to aim hits at me while using their bionics but I kept on dodging them all.
A few of my other students were doing the same but no luck.
Alexis tried to aim at me with her heat vision but I backflipped away from it to avoid getting hurt.
I smirked while Alexis and the others groaned, obviously from annoyance and tiredness.
"Nice work guys, still need some improvement on a few things but you're doing better" I said while crossing my arms.
"Now can we take a break?" Nick asked while rubbing his eyes.
I rolled my eyes but nodded as they all sighed in relief and sat down.
I then walked over to see how dad was doing, and of course Nick and Alexis followed behind me.
"Okay, using the technique I just taught you, attack me" Dad said as he held up his shield.
The group of students start attacking dad all at once with their bionics as dad was struggling to defend himself with the shield as he was being sent back into the wall nearby.
He then falls to the ground as they all stop with their bionics as dad turned to glare at them.
"Not all at once!" Dad yelled in annoyance.
I cringed along with Nick while Alexis was full on laughing.
"Just everybody take five. Okay? Let's just take five. Thank you. Thank you" Dad said as he turned around and pointed to Noah, one of Chase's students.
"You take ten" Dad said before sighing and walking over to me as Bree, Chase and Sebastian joined us.
"This is ridiculous. There are too many kids here for me to train them all at the same time" Dad sighed.
"And I don't want a single student to be denied the Donald Davenport experience" Dad smiled.
We all groaned and rolled our eyes at him.
You mean the Bionic Academy experience" Bree said as me and Chase nodded.
"No, you mean the Bionic Academy experience" Dad chuckled while patting her on the shoulder.
"Hey, maybe I can design a new virtual training simulator. And each group can take turns using it" Chase suggested.
I smiled and kissed him on the cheek, causing him to smile back.
"Or even better, I can design one that will allow every student to train at the same time" Sebastian suggested.
Chase turned to him and started laughing while also glaring at him.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. If anyone's gonna design this thing, it's gonna be me" Chase said.
"Control freak" Bree said in a sing-songy voice, causing me to hit her on the arm.
Dad then walked over to the both of them and placed his hands on both of their shoulders.
"How about this, you guys design it together" Dad said and I nodded.
"Yeah. After all, two minds are better than one" I smiled as dad nodded and walked away from them with a smirk on his face.
"Unless of course it's this mind" Dad smirked while pointing to himself.
"And after that, maybe you can build something that'll shrink his ego" Bree said in annoyance, causing me to snort.
"Bree, there's no machine in the world that could do that" Dad scoffed before smirking again as he started walking backwards.
"But if anybody could build it, it'd be me" Dad smirked while pointing at himself yet again before turning around and leaving.
"His ego is gonna get him killed, literally" I said, making the others nod.
In The Common Area
Me, Bree and dad were back in the common area.
Me and Bree were both sitting on chairs together with our new tablets in our hands that dad made for everyone.
Right now we're tesing them out to see that they work.
"Okay, let's test our new video conferencing system. I'll try and call you girls" Dad said.
Me and Bree smiled and nodded as dad started the video conferencing system.
The screen popped up, but we didn't see dad.
No, we saw someone we didn't ever want to see again.
"You rang?" Perry asked with a smile.
"Turn it off! Turn it off!" me and Bree yelled while looking at dad with wide eyes.
Dad sighed and looked down at his tablet to glare at Perry.
"How did you break into my secure line?" Dad asked in annoyance.
The video calls end as we turn around to see Perry in the room with us as she had walked out of her small hiding space.
"Better question is, how did I get in your equipment room to steal this?" Perry asked while holding a helmet in her hand.
"Give me that" Dad said as he grabbed the helmet back from her as me and Bree made our way over to them.
"Or into your bedroom to steal this" Perry said while holding one of dads shirts in her hands.
"That" Dad said as he snatched the shirt from her.
"Is island wear" Dad said while glaring at her.
"More like weird wear" I whispered to Bree, who giggled and nodded.
"Mm-hmm. Still think you don't need a head of security?" Perry asked while smirking.
"No. A couple more tweaks and I'll have this place locked down tight. And we will never see you again" Dad smirked.
Me and Bree smirked as well as dad turned to look at us.
"Bree, Luna, any parting words?" Dad asked.
"Yes. Get out" Bree smirked.
"See ya never bitch" I smirked while waving at her.
"Mm-hmm" Dad nodded as he started pushing Perry to the hydraloop.
"But you need me" Perry said but dad shook his head.
"No we don't" Dad said before shoving her inside the hydraloop.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Perry yelled but the doors to the hydraloop already closed.
The three of us all sighed in relief before we heard a ripping noise, again, as we turned around to see Perry's shirt in between the doors of the hydraloop.
"Really? She needs to start wearing tighter clothes" Dad said while rolling his eyes as me and Bree nodded.
It took us a few seconds to realize what dad had said as we all looked at each other with wide eyes.
"No, she doesn't" the three of us said together.
A Few Hours Later
Me and Bree were talking to some of the students that needed our help with something while dad was inside the hydraloop fixing things.
We smiled at the two students we were helping as they walked away and dad walked out of the hydraloop.
"Okay. I reset the security settings" Dad smiled.
"So the island is finally on lockdown?" Bree asked as she crossed her arms.
"Mm-hmm" Dad nodded.
"Nobody in, nobody out" I said and dad nodded.
"Yep, and I control it all with this one remote" Dad said as he looked for the remote in his pocket.
But then his eyes widened in shock and confusion when he couldn't find the remote.
"Yoo-hoo!" Perry yelled.
The three of us turned around to look outside the big window to see Perry swinging from a rope while holding the remote in one hand.
"Looking for this?" Perry asked.
The three of us all turned to look at each other before turning back around to glare at her in annoyance.
A Few Minutes Later
Me and dad were walking around in the common area talking.
I've been wanting to tell the students everything, about Krane, the triton app and about me being their half sister.
I've gotten so close to all of them that I really hate lying to them.
I really want to tell them, so that they know the truth about their leader, about their past.
And that's what I'm talking to dad about right now, we're discussing when we should tell them, when it would be the right time to tell them.
We stopped talking when we heard the hydraloop coming up.
The doors opened to reveal Spin, Bob and Leo but the weirdest part was that Bob and Spin were both covered in mud.
Me and dad looked at each other before walking towards them.
"Where were you guys?" Dad asked.
"On a mission" Bob smiled.
This made mine and dad's eyes widened as we stared at them in shock.
"What?!" me and dad yelled.
"Don't worry. We didn't help anyone" Bob smiled.
This made dad glare at him while sighing as I turned to glare at Leo and walked over to him and smacked him upside the head.
"Leo, how could you take them on a mission?" I asked in disbelief and anger.
Leo opened his mouth to say something but Spin beat him to it as he gently pushed me away from him.
"No Luna, he didn't take us, he saved us" Spin said.
I looked at him with wide eyes, along with dad, as Leo smiled and nodded.
"It was all my fault. If it wasn't for Leo, we wouldn't be standing here right now" Spin said as Bob nodded.
"Is that true?" Dad asked while looking at Leo.
"Well, I don't want to brag, but, yes, I was there. And I was awesome" Leo smirked as he placed his hands on his hips.
This made me and dad roll our eyes at him as I turned to both Spin and Bob and gently smacked their arms.
"You two head over to the capsule dorms to get cleaned up. We'll discuss this later" I said, giving them both a stern glare.
"Yes Luna" Bob and Spin said as they turned around and got back onto the hydraloop.
When they were gone me and dad walked over to Leo as dad wrapped an arm around Leo's shoulder.
"Wow, Leo, it sounds like you really stepped up and acted like a true bionic hero" Dad smiled and I nodded.
"Yeah dooley. I think it's time we bump you up a color" I smiled as Leo looked at both of us with wide eyes.
"Really?" Leo asked with a smile as me and dad nodded.
Dad opened his mouth to speak when the hydraloop came back up and we turned around to see Bob walking towards us.
"Bob, I thought I told you to go back to the dorms" I said.
"You might have told Bob..." Bob trailed off before pressing the back of his neck.
Mine, dad's and Leo's eyes widened when 'Bob' had changed into a smiling Perry.
"But you didn't tell me" Perry smiled.
Before me or dad could speak Leo let out a loud scream, causing me and dad to jump in surprise.
"Who let that in here? Stay away, evil woman!" Leo yelled.
"Where did you get that cyber cloak?" Dad asked.
"From your equipment room, which, by the way, is still not secure. You know, if I was your head of security, I could have stopped those two runts from sneaking out" Perry said as she walked towards us.
Alright, I ain't ever going to admit this to her in her face but what she's saying is true.
Someone like her could've easily stopped Spin and Bob from sneaking out to go on a mission.
"And no one would have to know that you wear these" Perry said as she held out zebra striped leggings.
Me and Leo cringed in disgust when we saw the leggings as we looked at dad to see him blushing.
"Give me those!" Dad yelled as he snatched the leggings back from her.
I sighed in annoyance and ran my hand through my hair as dad turned to glare at Perry.
"You're not gonna stop this until I give you this job, are you?" Dad asked and she shook her head.
"Nope, and I've got nothing but time. The average lifespan of a Perry is 112 years. And I'm one of the healthy ones" Perry smirked.
Me and dad both looked at each other as we let out loud groans before looking back at her.
"Okay, fine. You win. You're hired" I said in annoyance.
"Whoo! Ka-ta-ta-ta-ta!" Perry cheered with a smirk on her face, making me more annoyed than before.
Leo's eyes widened as he quickly walked towards the hydraloop.
"Leo, where are you going?" Dad asked as Leo turned to look at us with a scared look on his face.
"To bury myself in quicksand" Leo said as quickly hopped inside the hydraloop and left.
Me and dad looked at each other weirdly while Perry just smiled and waved at him.
A Few Hours Later
In The Training Area
After Bob and Spin finished getting cleaned up I had a stern talking to them about going on missions behind our backs.
They promised to never do it again and as their punishment they're on cleaning duting for the next 2 weeks.
I had both arms wrapped around their shoulders as we walked into the training room to see everyone there.
"So kiddos, what are we not going to do?" I asked.
"Not delete a mission alert and go on the mission ourselves" Spin sighed.
"And what are we going to do?" I asked.
"Tell you, Mr. Davenport or the other mentors about a mission alert so they can handle it themselves" Bob said.
I smiled and ruffled both of their hairs.
"Nice job kiddos. And remember that your cleaning duties start tomorrow, got it?" I said while raising an eyebrow at them.
"Yes Luna" Spin and Bob said.
"Good, now run along and go find a place to sit" I said while gently pushing them towards the others.
I sighed and made my way over to Bree and sat down next to her.
"Hey, everything alright?" Bree asked as she wrapped her arm around my shoulder.
"Everythings fine sis, just finished giving a stern talk to Spin and Bob and gave them a punishment too" I sighed.
"Why? What did they do?" Bree asked.
"I'll tell you later, promise" I smiled as I laid my head on her shoulder.
Chase and Sebastian both made their way to the middle of the room as everyone stopped what they were doing so they could speak.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Chase Davenport and Sebastian...last name to be determined" Chase said while pointing at Sebastian.
This made me and Bree giggle and shake our heads at them.
"Proudly present to you the future of bionic education: the Bionic Training Simulator" Chase smiled.
We all smiled and clapped for them for a few seconds before stopping.
"Now to demonstrate, we'll need a volunteer" Chase said while looking around the room.
Nobody had raised their hands and it was silent for a few seconds before Sebastian spoke up.
"How about Mr. Davenport? I mean, he is the reason we're all here" Sebastian suggested with a smile.
Dad looked at him and smiled as he slowly made his way towards them.
"What, me be the center of attention?" Dad asked before hopping onto the platform with a smirk on his face.
"I couldn't" Dad chuckled, making me roll my eyes.
"Go ahead and power up the mainframe" Sebastian said as Chase nodded.
"Alrighty" Dad smiled as he turned around to turn on the machine.
However as soon as he turned it on he was blasted across the room, really high as his back hit the wall really hard and he fell to the ground while groaning in pain.
"Mr. Davenport!" Bree yelled.
"Dad!" I yelled as I shot up from where I was sitting and immediately ran towards dad with the others following behind me.
I crouched down next to him and gently placed my hand on his shoulder.
"Big D, are you alright?" Leo asked in worry.
"I think so" Dad said while holding onto his chest in pain.
"Chase what the hell happened?" I asked while looking up at him.
"I don't get it. Our design was flawless" Chase said in confusion and worry.
"Well what are we waiting for let's get him to the medic" Alexis said.
"Good idea. Go!" Sebastian yelled.
Nick and Adam both grabbed dad's arms and gently pulled him and started walking to get to the medic with the rest of us following behind him.
I immediately grabbed onto Chase's hand and he didn't hesitate to give me a gently squeeze in reassurance.
How the hell did this happen?
I know for a damn fact that Chase wouldn't have messed up anything, he's too smart to mess anything up.
So why did the machine act up and blast dad across the room?
Unless...
We have a traitor at the academy.
It could be one of the students.
But that's not possible, is it...?
I'm not sure what to think.
But now we're dealing with two problems.
The possibility of there being a traitor among us.
And Perry's now going to be working here as the security guard.
The universe must really really hate us.
