Luna's Pov
Me, Chase and Bree were in the training area along with the students getting ready to tell them about the bionic battle.
I was standing next to Chase with his arm wrapped around my waist as the three of us walked towards the middle.
This caught the attention of the students as they stopped what they were doing and turned their attention to us.
"All right, listen up, guys. We're introducing a new element to training-- the bionic battle. Each week, two of you will be pitted against each other in a physical challenge" Chase said.
"To the death?" Spin asked with a small glare.
We all looked at him weirdly as Leo turned around to glare at him and answer for him.
"Yes, Big D built this multi-million-dollar facility to train and house you just so we could pick you off one by one" Leo sarcastically said.
The both of them glared at each other, making me sigh and roll my eyes.
"So each week's winner will earn points toward advancing to the next bionic skill level" Chase said.
"And the loser gets...well, humiliated" I smirked.
"Spin, since you're the youngest, you get to choose an opponent first" Bree said.
"Yes!" Spin yelled before turning to the other students and glared at them.
"Scared? Ya should be" Spin said, trying to be intimidating and it was actually working.
I've taught him so well.
"No, no. This isn't about scaring people. No one's going to get hurt" Chase said.
As soon as he said that a basketball is thrown at him and hits him in the back.
"Ow!" Chase yelled as he turned around.
Me, Chase and Bree all walked into the common area to see Adam, Bob, Alexis, Nick and a few other students shooting hoops.
Well, mostly the boys were playing.
Alexis was leaning against the wall with a small smile on her face.
"What are you doing?" Chase asked.
"We're throwing this thing at that thing. I'm an athlete" Bob grinned.
"Adam, you're a mentor now. You have to start acting like one" I said and Bree nodded.
"I am. We're supposed to teach them how to use their abilities. So...we're havin' a bionic slam dunk contest" Adam said.
"How is that teaching?" I asked in annoyance.
"Don't look at me, I'm just watching them" Alexis shrugged.
I looked at her and a smirk appeared on my face as I crossed my arms.
"You sure? Or are you checking out Adam?" I asked.
Her eyes widened when I said that and she started blushing as she playfully punched my shoulder.
"Shut up" Alexis groaned, making me giggle.
"Incoming!" Bob yelled.
We all turned to see Bob running towards the basket as he jumps and makes the shot but he's holding onto the basket and is now dangling from it.
"Bob, get down from there!" Bree yelled in worry.
"Sorry, little lady. No can do" Bob said while shaking his head.
"Why not?" Bree asked.
"Because I'm afraid of heights!" Bob yelled in fear.
"Bob, buddy, you can levitate" Nick said and Alexis nodded.
"Oh, I'm good going up. It's the going down part that never ends well" Bob said.
This made me, Alexis and Bree cringe in disgust as we slightly shivered while Chase sighed.
"I'll have to use my molecular kinesis to get him down" Chase said as he walked towards Bob to get him down.
"Or you could just use a ladder" me and Bree deadpanned before fist-bumping each other.
We watch as Chase walked towards Bob to get him down but before he could do that Bob starts screaming as he lets go of the basket and falls on top of Chase.
They both land on the ground and we all cringe when they landed.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Bob. That ended very well" Adam smirked and Bree nodded.
This made everyone laugh but me.
I turned to see Alexis staring at Adam with a small soft smile on her face as she let out a small giggle.
I groaned in annoyance before running towards Chase to help him off the ground.
A Few Minutes Later
We were back in the training room just teaching the students when dad walked in while talking to someone on the phone.
"Okay, Tasha. I-- I got it honey. Okay, now you're just growling" Dad said in slight annoyance.
He sighed before shaking his head as he hung up the phone as me and the trio made our way towards him.
"Trouble in paradise?" Bree asked.
"I've just been so busy with the academy, I haven't been able to spend any time with Tasha" Dad sighed.
"And she's complaining about that?" Adam asked while chuckling.
We all glared at him as I smacked him upside the head.
"Hey, Mr. Davenport, why don't you go back to Mission Creek for a couple of days" chase suggested and I nodded.
"Yeah dad. We can handle things here" I smiled.
Dad smiled back at me before sighing and shaking his head.
"Thanks, but there's too much going on here. Tasha will just have to wait" Dad said.
Just then Leo walked into the room while carrying a few things in his hands.
"Hey, Big D, what are you and Mom doing for your anniversary tonight?" Leo asked with a small smirk on his face as he walked away.
"Anniversary" Dad chuckled before his eyes widened in realization as he gasped loudly.
"I'll call you from the mainland!" Dad yelled as he kissed me on the forehead before running out of the room,
"Well that was easy" I said, earning laughs from the others as they nodded.
A Few Minutes Later
Me, Bree, Chase along with a few other students were in the common area as dad had already left to head back to Mission Creek.
Adam walked in with Bob and his students as he turned to us.
"Hey, is Mr. Davenport gone yet?" Adam asked.
"Yep. The hydraloop just left" Chase nodded.
"Good, 'cause the party train just arrived" Adam grinned along with Bob and his students.
Adam and Bob turn to face each other as they both do a chest bump but then Bob is knocked to the ground.
"Oh, sorry, dude" Adam chuckled as he helped Bob off the ground.
"It's cool. I'm a beast!" Bob grinned as Adam grinned back and nodded.
"All right. Who's get ready to do some things we'll regret" Adam grinned.
All of his students started cheering and clapping while I looked at the others in worry as me and Bree decided to step up.
"Adam! We're supposed to be responsible" Bree said and I nodded.
"Look, we're supposed to teach them life lessons and today's life lesson is about doing things we can't do when Mr. Davenport is here. Right, Bob?" Adam asked.
"Right" Bob nodded.
The two of them chest bump again which results in Bob getting knocked to the ground again, causing me and Bree to cringe.
"Adam" I groaned as he was quick to pull Bob back up.
"Adam, Mr. Davenport left us in charge. We're not just goofing around" Chase sternly said and I nodded.
"All right, well, I'm in charge, too, and I say we are" Adam said.
"And I'm this close to kicking your ass" I said in annoyance but he ignored me and turned to Bob.
"Bob. These are the moments that define us. The moments that prove we are men. Now let's go have a belly flop contest!" Adam yelled.
This caused his students and Bob to cheer and clap while me and the others groaned in annoyance.
"Adam, you're the best mentor ever. When I grow up, I want to be just like you" Bob smiled.
Awwww, that's pretty cute.
Adam smiled and nodded before he made a confused look.
"Then who would I be?" Adam asked.
"A dumbass" I deadpanned.
This earned laughs from Bree and Chase as Chase kissed me on the temple, making me smile.
Adam then took out his phone and his eyes widened just a bit before he placed it back in his pocket.
"Alright guys we'll do the belly flop contest later. I need to go because I'm going to go train with Alexis" Adam said.
The students nodded and walked away while I looked at Bree and Chase in shock and by the looks of it they were in shock too.
Did Adam just push aside a belly flop contest for training?
The three of us looked at him in shock and walked towards him to stop him from leaving.
"Wait, you're going to be training with Alexis?" I asked.
"Yeah I am. Is there a problem with that?" Adam asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No, no there's no problem at all but usually you only train with bob and your students. Or push training to the aside" I said.
"Yeah and Alexis isn't one of your students so it's just surprising you're training with her" Bree said.
"Or training at all" Chase said and I giggled.
"Well what can I say, she's just a really nice and confident girl. Sort of like Luna in a way. But different" Adam said.
"Is that all?" I asked while crossing my arms.
"That and because, she's just a really special girl. Really special may I add" Adam smiled and I swear I could see some blush on his cheeks.
He chuckled before nodding to us and walked away from us.
When he left the three of us looked at each other and smirks appeared on our faces.
"He's totally crushing on her" Bree smiled.
"I know right, oh my gosh it's so cute. I've never seen Adam like this" I smiled.
Chase chuckled as he pecked me on the lips and nodded.
"Me neither. I mean sure he's had a few crushes back when we were still in high school, but this is different" Chase said.
"I know, he even pushed the belly flop contest to aside just so he could train with Alexis. Isn't that cute" Bree squealed.
"I swear they better get together soon, they would be an amazing couple" I squealed and Bree nodded.
An Hour Later
Me, Chase, Bree, Sebastian and Nick were in the common area sitting at a nearby table together.
We were just talking together when Adam.
"Hey, has anyone seen Bob? Short, blonde, looks like a Bob" Adam asked, making me roll my eyes.
"I thought you were going to be mentoring him in the fine art of belly flopping after your training with Alexis" Bree said.
"I was, but I haven't seen him since he took out that swordfish" Adam sighed.
This made mine and Chase's eyes widened in shock as I stood up and walked towards him.
"You lost him in the ocean?" I asked in worry.
"No, in the cafeteria. It's Seafood Sunday" Adam said, making me sigh in relief as I placed a hand over my heart.
I turned around to see Sebastian placing his fingers against his temple, trying to do something but he frowned and stopped.
"That's strange. I'm not getting any trace of Bob on my bionic beacon" Sebastian said.
"So what are we gonna do?" Nick asked in worry.
"I don't know. But I'm not about to lose a man on my watch" Chase sternly said and I nodded as I held onto his hand.
"Forget about the man on your watch. We have to find Bob!" Adam yelled.
We all looked at him in annoyance as I sighed and smacked him on the arm.
We all started the search for Bob, Alexis ended up joining as well so it would be faster and better to try and find him.
It felt like a few minutes or maybe an hour of searching for Bob and nothing.
We all ran back into the common area to see Adam and Alexis standing next to each other, trying to catch their breath.
"Did you find Bob?" Sebastian asked.
"No, but I was thinking. What if we're the ones who are lost and Bob is looking for us?" Adam asked.
We all looked at him weirdly as he shook his head and sighed.
"This is getting weird. It is not like Bob to just disappear. And I should know, we've been best friends for two days" Adam said.
We just sighed and nodded at him.
Before I could open my mouth to speak we heard a noise and looked to see that the big screen turned on.
My eyes widened along with the others when I saw that it was Bob.
"Hello? Is this Pizza Planet?" Bob asked.
"Bob?" Chase asked as we all made our way towards the big screen to get a closer look.
"Oh, hey, guys. I must've dialed the wrong number. But while I got ya, wanna go halfsies on a peperoni?" Bob asked with a smile.
"Are you on a plane?" Chase asked.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion until my eyes widened when I realized where Bob was.
"Is that my father's jet?!" I asked in shock and worry.
"I hope so. His picture's all over it" Bob said as he moved the camera to show us a huge picture of dad's face.
"Yeah, that's his jet alright" I sighed while shaking my head.
"Bob, what made you think you could take Mr. Davenport's plane?" Sebastian asked.
"Cause Adam said we were supposed to do all the stuff we can't do when Mr. Davenport is there" Bob said.
This made all of us turn to glare at Adam who looked a bit nervous as I crossed my arms at him.
"I did say that, but in my defense, I only meant to think it" Adam defended, but this just made me more annoyed.
"I was going to surprise you with your favorite pizza from Mission Creek. So...surprise!" Bob grinned.
Alright, as sweet as that is I'm still worried because he's literally in the sky right now.
"Awww" Adam and Alexis said together.
They both looked at each other with smiles on their faces before looking away while blushing.
This made me and Bree smirk, Chase chuckle and shake his head while Nick and Sebastian were glaring at Adam.
Of course, cue the overprotective brothers.
"Hey, when he gets back, act surprised" Adam said as he turned back to face us.
"How is he even flying that thing?" Bree asked and Chase sighed.
"It's a self-flying jet. As long as he doesn't disengage the auto pilot, he'll be totally--" Chase started but was cut off.
"What does this button do?" Bob asked as he pressed a button and then all of a sudden he started screaming.
This made our eyes widened in worry as the others turned to me and Chase.
"Wai-- what just happened?" Bree asked in worry.
"He disengaged the auto pilot! The plane is in a freefall" I said in worry.
"Classic Bob" Adam chuckled while shaking his head.
This made all of us turn to him and glare at him as I growled and smacked him upside the head.
"Not now" I growled in anger before turning back to Bob.
There's no way I'm letting anything happen to him, no way in hell, he's getting out of this alive and I mean it.
"Okay, Bob, I need you to rotate the stick to level out the plane" I said.
"Okay" Bob nodded as he started doing what I told him to do.
"Now we want you to reactivate the auto pilot by pushing the two red buttons on the panel next to you" Chase said.
"I don't see any red buttons. Only green ones" Bob said, slowly started to panic.
This made me furrow my eyebrows in confusion, along with Chase and the others except for Alexis, Nick and Sebastian.
"Green? There are no green buttons" I said.
"Sorry, but would now be a bad time to tell you guys that our brother is color blind?" Nick nervously asked.
This made me and the trio sigh in annoyance as I ran my hands through my hair.
Chase let out a frustrated groan as he turned to Adam and started walking towards him with an angry glare.
"This is all your fault!" Chase yelled.
"How is it my fault Bob's color-blind?" Adam asked in confusion, making me sigh.
"This is what happens when you're not a responsible mentor" Chase said while glaring at him.
"I'm very responsible" Adam defended but Chase shook his head.
Before we knew it they started arguing with each other and it was getting a bit too much so me and Bree stepped up.
"Guys! Stop fighting!" Bree yelled as they stopped arguing and turned to us.
"We have to figure out a plan to save Bob before it's too late. He's our responsibility" I said.
"They're right" Sebastian said as Nick and Alexis nodded.
"Well, thanks for backing us up" Bree smiled as I smiled and nodded.
"Thanks for having such lovely hair" Sebastian smirked.
This made Bree's eyes brighten as she smiled at him and started playing with her hair.
Me, Adam and Chase look at each other with confused yet weirded out looks as we turned back to the others.
I could see Alexis scoffing and rolling her eyes while I could see Nick glaring at Sebastian.
"Maybe I can hack into Mr. Davenport's mainframe and try to override the auto pilot from here" Sebastian said.
"Well, that's an awesome idea" Bree said.
"Thanks" Sebastian smiled as the two of them started talking and laughing together.
"Great. Now we're dealing with two disasters" I scoffed, earning groans from Adam and Chase and a snort from Alexis.
Nick was still glaring at Sebastian as he crossed his arms and looked away.
He's totally jealous.
A Few Minutes Later
"Hang on, Bob. We're trying to reactivate the auto pilot from here" Chase said as him and Sebastian were typing a few things on the cyberdesk.
"The altitude thing is flashing 'danger.' What does that mean?" Bob asked in worry.
"It means you're in danger!" I yelled.
"Are we talking good danger or bad danger?" Bob asked.
"How about neither" Alexis said and Nick nodded while I sighed in annoyance.
"Guys, we're running out of time" Adam said.
"Don't worry. I hacked into the jet" Sebastian said as he turned around to look at Bree as he smiled and leaned closer to her.
"All I have to do is press this button, the auto pilot will be back up in no time" Sebastian smiled.
Bree smiled at him and I swear I could hear gagging noises from Alexis and Adam.
Sebastian then pressed the button but he was still staring at Bree so he wasn't looking at the console.
Then to our shock the screen turned off.
"Uh, where did he go?" Bree asked in worry.
Sebastian finally turned around and his eyes widened in worry when he realized he pressed the wrong button.
"Oh, no! I must've hit the wrong button" Sebastian said in worry.
"Maybe because you're staring at my sister!" Chase yelled at him, causing Bree to glare at him and cross her arms.
"And now you just disabled communications with the jet" I sighed while running my hands through my hair.
"Classic Sebastian" Adam chuckled, making me smack his arm.
Chase and Sebastian started typing onto the console when the big screen turned back on but it wasn't Bob.
It was dad.
Oh dear lord.
"Bob, what happened? You look awful" Adam asked.
Dad furrowed his eyebrows at him in confusion as Alexis smacked him upside the head.
"Uh, hey there, Mr. Davenport" Chase smiled.
"Any kids missing yet?" Dad asked with a smile, causing all of our eyes to widened as we looked at each other in worry.
"I'm kidding" Dad chuckled.
We all sighed in relief before laughing nervously and nodding at him.
"Oh, this one with the jokes" Bree and Alexis said together as I nodded.
"Look, I just wanted to check in and make sure everything is running smoothly. It is running smoothly, isn't it?" Dad asked as he moved closer to the screen and started looking around.
"Yep, real smooth. Uh, hope your anniversary's going well" I said as dad smiled and nodded.
"It's great. I just made this rosemary chicken--" Dad started but was cut off by Chase.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, chicken. Have a nice dinner" Chase said as he quickly hung up, making all of us sigh in relief.
A Few Hours Later
So apparently Adam had a plan to get Bob out of the sky and back home safely.
He was going to use the jet wing and fly up to him and get him down and we allowed him to go since we were running out of options.
And turns out it worked, but they had crashed back at home in Mission Creek and ruined the anniversary dinner dad had planned for Tasha.
So now they were all back at the academy as dad stared at us before sighing in annoyance.
"I am never leaving you guys in charge again" Dad said.
Before me or Chase could speak Adam did it for us, much to our shock.
" Mr. Davenport, it's not their fault. It's mine. I was goofin' off, and the students thought it was okay to goof off, too. I...I should've been a better mentor" Adam sighed.
"Actually, Adam was a good mentor" Bob said.
Our eyes widened in shock and confusion as we stared at him.
"He was?" Dad asked.
"He was?" Chase asked.
"I was?" Adam asked.
"Yeah. When I was up in the jet, I didn't wanna jump, but Adam boosted my confidence, and helped me conquer my fear of heights" Bob smiled.
Adam smiled at him and ruffled his hair, making me smile softly at the two of them.
"Wow. I'm impressed, Adam" Dad nodded.
"Never thought I'd here those three words together" Bree said, causing me to giggle and nod.
"What I don't understand is why you had to jump in the first place" Dad said.
This made everyone, minus me, to look at him in confusion.
"Hmm?" Adam asked in confusion.
"It's a smart plane. Even without the auto pilot, it has an emergency homing beacon that allows it to land automatically" I explained.
Everyone, minus dad, looked at me in shocked as dad nodded.
"So we jumped for nothing?" Bob asked.
"Wait. Does you jet wing land itself too?" Adam asked.
Dad's eyes widened as he glared at Adam and gritted his teeth in anger.
"No" Dad said through gritted teeth as Adam smiled nervously at him.
"Classic Adam" Bob chuckled, earning laughs from Nick and Sebastian and a small slap to the back of the head by Alexis.
"Wait, wait, wait. Luna if you knew that the jet would automatically land why didn't you just tell us in the beginning?" Bree asked.
This made everyone look at me with crossed arms while I smiled nervously at them and shrugged.
"I forgot" I said.
Everyone, minus dad, just groaned and facepalmed while I just let out a small nervous giggle.
