Your heart was beating nervously as your eyes wandered around the white room.
Your friends and family were in the room, talking about how happy they were to be at your wedding. They were dressed in beautiful white dresses and suits. Beside your chair stood tables with beautiful light blue vases placed on top of them with pink roses in them.
“I can't believe you're finally getting married!”
“When you throw the bouquet, make sure to launch it toward me!”
“I'm so happy for you!”
“I wonder what the groom is doing?”
“You look so beautiful, Y/N!”
There were supportive compliments all over the place, making your face and heart smile. You were sitting elegantly in the comfy chair, your dress puffy and silky, a beautiful white. The floral decorations and every little detail of the dress were beautiful. The see-through veil was over your head, behind your hair.
You looked down at the pink and red rose bouquet in your hand, smiling ear-to-ear. The day was finally here and you couldn't believe it. You were going to become a married woman and your most beloved man would become your husband. Husband and Wife, that title you had waited so long for, today was the day for it.
You and your groom had planned the wedding for months after having been engaged for two years. Chan was always very careful with the planning, considering your ideas and making sure that it was both of your wedding, not just “his wedding” or “my wedding”.
Sitting in the white box room with so many happy people and laughs surrounding you made you think back on the day when Chan, your boyfriend, first proposed.
The day was completely unexpected. It started as a normal day, nothing out of the ordinary. You woke up in the morning and saw your boyfriend's peaceful and cute sleeping face by your side; you brushed his hair and cheek softly, gave him his daily forehead kiss, and continued with your day.
Chan didn't act out of the ordinary either. He was still sweet and loving, giving you soft kisses on the cheek, quick and touchy pecks on the lips, and warmly wrapping his arms around you from the back, the side, and the front.
It was just a beautiful and sunny day in the summer. The sky was a beautiful blue and the clouds looked like they could form heaven.
You were just spending the day doing some cleaning and laying around lazily. Chan was out of the house and you figured that he was probably called in for some last-minute schedule or something.
Just then, you received a call from Chan.
“Hello?”
“Honey, come out, I want to take you somewhere.”
You were flustered but you got up from the couch and turned off the TV, heading out of the house with only your comfortable clothes.
“Where? I'm not dressed for anything formal.”
“It's okay, come quick!”
When you got in the car, Chan helped you buckle your seatbelt and then he sped off into the sunset. You were surprised at first and while on the ride, you kept asking him what was happening, but he just chuckled confidently and continued driving.
You two drove on top of a hill where the view of the golden sunset was beautiful. The rays of sunshine over the horizon, the beautiful sky that was painted with red, purple, pink, and blue, everything was so beautiful from above.
However, just as you two were enjoying the view, there was a roar of thunder, causing both of you to flinch and fly into each other's arms. You laughed with Chan as the rain began to fall and the wind began to blow roughly.
You two ran back to the car quickly and shielded yourselves from the sudden pouring rain. The knocks of the raindrops hitting the window were calming.
“How strange, rain in the summer?” You commented, laughing, reaching your arm out toward the backseat to grab a towel.
However, before you could get a hold of one, you heard Chan mutter, “Oh, the perfect day is ruined.”
You stopped and sat back in the passenger's seat, staring at your cute boyfriend who looked mature with his hair slightly wet from the rain; a sight similar to when he gets out of the shower.
“A perfect day?” You asked, your full attention on Chan.
“Yeah, I was actually,” Chan lifted his hand to reveal a small box. “Today I was going to make you mine forever.”
You were overjoyed as you glanced at the diamond ring then back at Chan who was smiling disappointedly. You were at the edge of tears but Chan didn't realize it until he finally turned back to you.
“Y/N...”
His eyes widened and a small smile appeared on his face.
You were smiling and the happiness was pouring out of your eyes.
“Today,” You said softly, cupping his face with your hands. “You can still make me yours.”
Chan smiled and let out a soft breath.
Just as you were about to recall that soft kiss, someone came into the room.
“It's time, are you ready?” He asked.
You looked up to see him, the man who would walk you down the aisle. You smiled, feeling the tears already begin forming in your eyes.
You picked up your dress and nodded, standing up. You were so caught up in your thoughts that you didn't realize everyone had gone back to the large, noisy room filled with guests.
You walked toward him. He had his arm reached out and you linked your arm with his. He flipped your veil over your head and whispered.
“You're finally getting married,” He said as he walked you to the aisle where your groom would be waiting with his hands together, in a neat suit that made him look handsome. “Make sure you don't forget about us even when you're married.”
You smiled gently and proceeded to walk down the aisle with him, one of the most important people in your life.
With Chan's friend, Jihoon playing the piano in the back, you walked down the aisle with your arm linked with his. Through the veil, you could see the person you loved the most waiting for you at the end of the aisle.
Chan was staring at you, stars twinkling in his dark eyes. He felt his heart race. He was awed by your beauty. Chan couldn't believe that he was marrying such a beautiful, loving, sweet, and caring person as you. The day he had been waiting for all his life; the day of his marriage, was finally here, and you, the person he loved most, was taking every step down that red carpet toward him.
As the piano being played by Jihoon came to a stop, you arrived at the end of the aisle, facing Chan.
He lifted the veil and without realizing it, he spat out, “Wow, you're really beautiful.”
The audience laughed.
-
Chan gulped as he opened up his personalized vow.
His eyes locked with you for a second before he looked back at his letter, clearing his throat then beginning the first sentence with a heart-fluttering smile.
The white in the wedding hall made his figure shine.
“First things first, I love you, Y/N. This is to my one and only. I don't know how to write a vow so for the first time, I researched hard on how to make one, only to end up going with whatever I felt like writing. I wanted to sound sincere because from this day on, I'm going to be your only husband. I know there are going to be times when we cry and get angry, but even then, I'd still love you.
I'll be there for you through thick and thin and I'd go through whatever with you. I love you so much that it overpowers everything else in this world. I never knew I could love someone so much until you came into my world. You're a precious gem to me, you're rich in flavor, and I want all of you. I don't want to leave out a single speck of you when you're with me. I'm going to accept your everything and love you forever. I love you, Y/N. I promise to love you until the end.”
You smiled and watched as Chan finally lifted his head from the microphone that was pressed against his lips. All of the beautiful decorations that you two took so long to prepare didn't even matter anymore. All you could see was Chan.
Chan smiled shyly and then passed you the microphone. You gently smiled and unfolded the letter that you wrote a few days ago.
You took in a deep breath before glancing at Chan, who was staring at you with hearts in his eyes, then back at your paper filled with your hand-written vow.
“To the man I love the most, Lee Chan. I vow to love you forever. It may sound exaggerated in the future but now, to me, I want to believe that. I want to stay with you forever. I didn't think that I would be lucky to come across such passionate, beautiful, and emotional love but because of you, I can experience such sweetness.
I love you so much, Chan. I promise to be your motivation, you could make me your muse. I'll try my best to be understanding and I'll fight my flaws for you. I'll be the best version of me, because, well, you bring the best of me out. I love you so much and this vow can't even express how much more I want to do for you. I love you.”
Chan was grinning ear-to-ear. He was happy. This day may have been the best day of his life.
He brought the cold ring into his warm fingers as he picked up your elegant hand. With his eyes on your hand, he gently slid the ring into your ring finger, the place where it belonged.
You did the same, placing the ring onto his finger as if sealing a promise that you knew you wouldn't regret.
Of course, you two didn't even hesitate to say “I do” when asked.
Chan knew that his members would probably tease him a little but he couldn't help but hold your face gently with his hand and plant a sweet and genuine kiss on your lips to further seal the promise of loving each other forever. Chan kissed you softly as the guests cheered; the members of SEVENTEEN either were laughing or shouting while clapping or clapping.
-
When you and Chan threw the bouquet, it landed in the hands of Seungkwan. You and your relatives, friends, plus Chan's relatives and friends then snapped a “family” picture in memory of the wedding.
After that, your boyfriend's mixtape “0” was put on by the DJs Seokmin and Soonyoung. You found the song choice a bit strange but everyone seemed to be loving it as it transformed the wedding hall into a dance floor under a disco ball.
Chan was dancing around you romantically and you were having the most fun you've ever had in your life, dancing with the people that were most special and important to you; all your friends and close relatives. Chan didn't hesitate to make you join in on his crazy dance moves.
The members of SEVENTEEN were also going crazy with their youngest brother, Chan, who they practically raised. They were overjoyed at Chan's wedding and may have been too excited.
Some people were dancing, some were conversing, and some were eating the delicious wedding cake and delicacies that were prepared; also sipping drinks and eating dinner.
Chan was holding your hand and dancing. His dances were funny but also cool.
After a while of dancing, he pulled you close to his chest amid the cheering crowds.
“Are you having fun?” Chan asked, wrapping his hands around your waist.
You smiled and threw your arms around his shoulders.
“Of course, my husband.”
Chan chuckled. “Gosh, that sounds nice. Call me that again.”
You leaned in a bit closer and said softly, “My husband.”
Chan giggled out of joy, holding you closer in the crazy atmosphere.
Your foreheads kissed and he said softly, “I swear, I'm going to spend every day with you. You're freaking perfect.”
“Back to you,” You replied, pinching his cheeks softly.
“Aww, look at them,” Jeonghan said, sipping a bit of the wine that was on the table.
“You're drinking already?” Seungcheol asked.
Jeonghan turned to Minghao and Mingyu who were already celebrating Chan's marriage with alcohol while reminiscing the days when Chan was still considered a baby.
Wonwoo, who was watching Chan dance with you fondly smiled. Vernon placed his hand on Wonwoo's shoulder, knowing how proud Wonwoo was of Chan and how far they had all come together.
Joshua and Jun were losing themselves on the dance floor with BooSeokSoon, jamming to their song, “VERY NICE”, which was also quite a strange choice for wedding music.
With Chan still holding you tightly, you gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
“I love you,” you said.
Your eyes held the most sincerity and Chan could see it as he stared into those beautiful eyes with his dazzling, just as sincere ones.
“I know,” Chan replied, returning the peck. “And I love you too. Should I sing a song for you after this?”
You hit his chest playfully and you both giggled.
The exchanges of “I love you” seemed like another promise; to stay with each other forever.
