Minho immediately pressed the facetime button once he sent the text. And anxiously waited for a few seconds which felt like minutes until Jisung picked up.
Jisung was showing his ceiling instead of his face but Minho didn't want to say anything about that at the moment.
"Hi," Minho said as Jisung mumbled a "hello" back.
"Are you sure everything is okay?"
"Yeah I'm just really sleepy," Jisung explained and Minho wished he was there with him at the moment. He knew Jisung would be cuddly and he could imagine how he was pouting right now like he always did when he was extremely tired. The same pout that always tempted him to kiss him even though he knew he couldn't.
"What were you doing before you replied to the group chat?" Minho asked.
"Trying to sleep but I can't. And I knew Felix would ask why so I just said I was taking a shower. I don't want him concerned about anything and he probably would have threatened to come to my house until I fell asleep."
"Well, why can't you sleep?" Minho questioned. If he knew where Jisung lived he would do the exact same thing but sadly he didn't. Not that he entirely believed him. His eyes look slightly puffy but he didn't want to ask why when Jisung very obviously didn't want to talk about it. And it could just be him thinking too much into it.
"I'm just thinking about stuff and every time I'm almost asleep my brain decided to think about something else and I can't," Jisung explained with a yawn.
"What are you thinking about?"
"A lot of things. You probably don't want to know." Jisung said with a dry laugh.
"You can still always tell me. Do you want me to come over?"
"No, it's fine," Jisung replied. He wanted to say yes but he had no idea when his parents would be home and he didn't want to find out whether or not they would act differently because Minho was there. He doubted they would and he didn't want Minho to meet them anyway.
"Is there anything that you do want to talk about?"
"Not really. Sorry, it was kind of stupid for me to call you. I thought that having someone on the phone would help distract me but I'm probably bothering you."
"You aren't! I can talk to you until you fall asleep if you want. you don't have to respond. I can just tell you random things and stories."
"No it's okay you really don't have to do that. I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"What if I want to?"
"Why would you want to?"
"I like being on facetime with you. I can make sure you're safe and no one is bothering you even without physically being next to you."
"I wish you were here."
"Hmm?"
"Nothing," Jisung mumbled.
"you don't have to if you don't want to but I would love to see your face."
"I look like a mess," Jisung replied as he set his phone against one of his pillows so Minho could see his face.
"you're so cute." Minho complimented. He was right about the pout on Jisung's face. if he were there in real life he wasn't sure if he would be able to keep himself from kissing him this time.
He was half asleep yet still managed to look adorable to Minho.
"I regret moving my phone," Jisung said and covered his tinted pink face with his sweater paws.
"I regret not paying more attention to how to get to your house."
"I'm glad you don't remember," Jisung said although Minho didn't understand a word since the younger was yawning.
"What?" Minho questioned, trying not to deal out about how cute Jisung looked as he now let his eyes close.
"Nothing."
Minho decided from there to start telling Jisung random stories about him, Chan, Seungmin, and Hyunjin from there. He could tell Jisung was barely awake enough to respond by now anyway.
"Jisung?" Minho asked quietly a while later to check to see if he was still awake or not.
When Jisung hadn't moved at all he thought it was safe to assume that he was finally asleep. He wanted to stay on the phone with him longer to make sure his parents didn't bother him or wake him up when they got home but he didn't want Jisung's phone to die if something happened and he needed it for something.
"I love you," Minho said before hanging up the phone.
