Luna's Pov
After two weeks with a sprained ankle I'm finally able to walk properly again.
No more crutches or anything.
And the best part about today is that it's christmas.
Before dad met Tasha, we would always decorate the house together for Christmas.
We would put on some christmas songs as we bake christmas cookies together.
And we would watch christmad movies at night together in our pajamas.
Even when I was growing up I didn't want any of that to stop because it would always bring back amazing memories of me and dad.
But now that dad has married Tasha, we're all going to have christmas together as a family.
I get to spend it with my family and my boyfriend, it's going to be amazing.
Right now we're all inside the house decorating
"Donald, I just noticed the holiday card we mailed out. What happened to the family portrait we took to celebrate our first Christmas together?" Tasha asked.
"Oh, I shredded those. These are way more festive" Dad grinned as he showed us the christmas cards.
It was a card of Santa and his reindeers and dad's face was on Santa and the reindeers.
"More like disturbing" I said, causing Tasha to giggle and for dad to glare at me.
I walked away as Adam walked over to me with a tray in his hands.
"Who wants a Christmas cookie?" Adam asked as he showed us the cookies.
There were two things wrong with them, one they were weirdly shaped.
And two, they aren't even cooked.
"Adam, those aren't even cooked" Leo said and I nodded.
"Oh, no problem" Adam said.
He then activated his heat vision and then he burns the cookies.
"Careful, they may be hot" Adam said.
Me and Leo coughed as we tried waving the smoke away from us.
Soon we turned around as Bree walked in through the front.
"Okay, who covered the entire house in blinking lights? People already think we're weird, we don't need to shine a light on it" Bree said as she walked over to us.
"No, I did that. I want to make sure Santa Claus comes to our house first" Adam said.
I sighed and ran my hands through my hair in frustration.
"Adam, we all love Christmas, but I think you're going a little overboard" I said as Bree and Leo nodded.
Soon the front door flung open as we turned around to see Chase walking in while being tied up in blinking lights.
Bree and Leo were laughing while Adam looked annoyed.
"That, however, is spot on" Bree said while pointing to Chase as Leo nodded.
"Hey! Get back up on the roof! You're ruining my display!" Adam yelled.
"You were lucky a raccoon chewed me free!" Chase yelled back at him.
Soon we heard an alarm go off and we looked at dad who had taken his phone out of his pocket.
"That's an urgent mission alert. We have to get to the lab" Dad said.
The others nodded as they all ran down to the lab, completely forgetting about Chase still tied up in blinking lights.
"Hello? A little help?" Chase asked.
He then tries hopping but that fails as he trips and falls to the ground.
I cringed before running up to him and untying him.
Once I gotten him united we held hands and caught up with the others down at the lab.
"The alert is coming from Facility X, my research center in the frozen tundra" Dad said.
"Hey, hey, I'm the Mission Specialist. I'll handle this" Leo said.
Dad rolled his eyes but nodded and motioned for him to continued.
Leo then looked at us and nodded, "the alert is coming from Facility X, his research center in the frozen tundra" Leo said, repeating the exact same thing dad said.
"Wait. The tundra's near the North Pole" Adam said before he gasped.
"Santa needs our help! You wrap, you tape, I'll go hang with the elves!" Adam said while pointing at Bree and Chase who just rolled their eyes at him.
Dad soon pressed a few buttons and soon on the big screen Dr. Evans appeared, though I can tell the signal was malfunctioning.
"Dr. Evans, are you there?" Dad asked.
"Yeah, I'm here! Although there's been a major volcanic eruption nearby and we're experiencing aftershocks. I'm afraid if we don't act fast--" Dr. Evans started but the call was cut off because of the signal.
"Oh, Merry Christmas to you, too, Dr. Evans. Rude" Adam scoffed.
"Sorry, guys. I know the timing's not ideal" Dad said but Chase shook his head.
"It's okay, Mr. Davenport. We know what we have to do" Chase said and Bree and Adam nodded.
"Yep. Let's crack open some eggnog and hit it hard after the New Year" Adam grinned as he ran out of the lab.
"Sometimes I just stop trying with him" I said and the others nodded.
After a few minutes we got Adam back into the lab.
"I can't believe you guys have to go on a mission on Christmas Eve" I said in sadness.
Then Leo turned to dad, "just to be clear, I don't have to wait for them to open my presents, right?" Leo asked
I glared at him while dad rolled his eyes at him.
"Well, I'm not going to let this ruin my Christmas spirit. So, I will be wearing my Santa hat" Adam said as he took out his santa hat and placed it on his head.
"Really, Adam? A Santa hat with a mission suit?" Chase asked.
"Hey, if the ladies at the bank can wear them at work, so can I!" Adam defended.
"I can't re-establish contact with Dr. Evans. The volcano must have knocked out satellite communications. This giant ash cloud has plunged the area into total darkness. There is no way rescue teams will be able to get through" Dad explained.
"Well, that means Dr. Evans is trapped" Bree said and I nodded.
"Eh, he's better off. The airports are packed this time of year" Adam said and we all gave him annoyed looks.
"There's an automated transport ready to take you up there, but without satellite communications, Leo and I won't be on the comm set" Dad said.
"Well, it will be tough navigating through a mission without the constant sound of Leo chomping on carrot sticks." Chase said.
"Hey! You know I'm a stress-eater!" Leo defended as he stuck more carrot sticks into his mouth.
Adam and Bree walked away while I quickly walked to Chase and pecked him on the lips.
"Be safe bubba" I said.
He smiled softly at me and kissed my forehead, "always sweetheart, always" Chase said.
Giving me on more peck on the lips he walked out of the lab.
Back Upstairs
We made it back upstairs so we could help Tasha with the decorations when the doorbell rang.
"Oh, I got it. Must be Grandma with her holiday feast. Or perhaps, some carolers have come to spread some holiday cheer" Leo grinned.
"They're always so nice doing that every year" I said with a smile on my face.
Me and Leo walked over to the door as he opened it.
"Merry--" Leo started but my eyes widened as I saw Principal Perry outside.
"Hey, Dooley. Walker" Principal Perry said.
Leo let out a shriek as he quickly shut the door and looked at dad and Tasha.
"Code red. Turn out the lights. Everybody, hide" Leo said as he quickly hid behind the couch while I just walked over to the couch and laid down.
"Leo" Tasha scolded him as dad laughed.
Tasha then opened the door to reveal Principal Perry once again.
"Hi" Tasha kindly greeted.
"I'm with him, I'll be behind the tree" Dad said as he tried walking away but Tasha grabbed his arm.
"Sorry to bother you, but I ran into some car trouble while doing one of my favorite yuletide traditions" Principal Perry said.
"Oh, were you were driving around looking at Christmas lights?" Tasha asked with a smile.
"No. I was tearing through puddles trying to splash carolers. Took a corner too fast and accidentally ran over some of your decorations" Principal Perry explained.
My eyes widened as she brough out our santa decoration that had been completely destroyed and had tire marks on it.
"Ho-ho-ho, here you go" Principal Perry grinned as she handed it to dad.
"Nice aim. What are you driving a tractor?" Dad asked.
"I'm stuck. I popped a tire and I can't get any cell phone service up here on Rich Man Mountain" Principal Perry said as she walked in and grabbed a nearby phone.
"Uh, we like to call it Billionaire Butte actually. There's a history--" Dad started but she cut him off.
"Stop talking, I'm on the phone" Principal Perry said in annoyance.
Dad glared at her before walking away.
"Jose, Terry Perry. Ah, yeah, had another accident. I'm gonna need a tow. No, the cat wasn't driving this time. Uh-huh" Principal Perry said.
Leo then walks by with a mug in his hands, and just as he walks by her she takes the mug out of his hands.
"Ooh, cocoa" Principal Perry grinned.
Leo glared at her and looked at Tasha for help but she sent him a soft smile and waved him off, allowing Principal Perry to keep his mug.
"What? Ugh, great" Principal Perry groaned as she hung up and placed the phone and the mug on the coffee table.
"There's only one driver tonight and there's 30 people ahead of me" Principal Perry said.
"Hey, well, I have a bike pump. Let's see if that works" Leo suggested as he stood up and walked to the door with Principal Perry following behind him.
"Leo!" Tasha scolded him.
"Principal Perry, what are you Christmas plans?" Tasha asked.
"Not much. Just enjoying my cats' production of the Nutcracker. With me as the stage" Principal Perry laughs before looking at Leo.
"The soundtrack comes courtesy of my belly growls" Principal Perry grinned while Leo looked uncomfortable.
"You are more than welcome to spend Christmas with us" Tasha said with a smile.
My eyes widened as I looked at dad and gave him a look that said 'do something' and he quickly shook his head.
"No, she's really not" Dad said but Tasha glared and ignored him.
"Ah, I couldn't...without grabbing a few things from my car" Principal Perry grinned as she ran out the house to get some of her things.
Me and Leo glared at Tasha.
"What curse hath wrought upon this house?" Leo asked.
Dad pointed at Tasha while all she did was give Leo a glare.
A few minutes later Principal Perry had gotten so many things from her car and brought them inside.
"That's a few things?" Leo asked in annoyance.
"I keep my car stocked with supplies in case of emergency. Or if I'm just too tired to walk to the house" Principal Perry said.
"More like too lazy" I whispered to Leo who nodded.
"Oops, one more thing" Principal Perry said as she quickly left for a few seconds but then came back with her cat on a leash.
"What a nice surprise. You brought your cat" Tasha said as dad bent down and picked up her cat.
"No" Principal Perry scoffs as she once agains goes back outside.
A few seconds later she walks back in wheeling in more of her cats that are in their cages.
"I brought my cats. You won't even know that Scratch, Thumper, Boom-Boom, Mr. Whiskers, Dingle, and Widget are even here" Principal Perry said while pointing to her cats.
"They'll sleep with me inside the tent. They form a living blanket around mama" Principal Perry grinned.
"Uh, tent?" me and dad asked together.
Principal Perry nods as she reaches into her pile of stuff and she pulls out a pop out tent as she places it on the ground, which soon becomes a real big tent.
"I don't sleep on other people's bed linens. And, no offense, Dooley-Davenports and Walker, but I don't know where you've been" Principal Perry said.
"More like we don't know where she's been" Leo whispered to me and I nodded.
A Few Minutes Later
We were putting the last decorations for the house which was the stockings.
Tasha had finished putting them all up until she turned to Principal Perry and gasped.
"Sorry we don't have a stocking for you" Tasha said.
Principal Perry then gasped as she rolled up her pants.
"I got it!" Principal Perry said.
She then kicked off her shoe as she took her sock off and I gagged in disgust alone with Leo, Tasha and dad.
She smiles as she hands over her sock to Tasha who was clearly annoyed and disgusted like the rest of us were.
"Make sure you push the candy way down in there so it fills up my tootsies" Principal Perry said before getting up.
"I'm gonna go squeeze into my Christmas jammies" Principal Perry squealed as she ran over to her tent and got inside.
"Okay, we have got to get rid of her" Dad said and we all nodded.
"I agree, but all my plans end with us going to jail" Leo said.
"And all my plans ends up with us all using shovels to cover up something with dirt" I said in annoyance as I glared at the tent.
We could hear a lot of noise coming from the tent, and honestly we were scared to even know what was going on in there.
Soon the noises stop as she unzipped the front of her tent and got out.
And let me just tell you when I saw her pajamas.
I wanted to die right then and there.
She wore a red onesie with tons of bells on it.
We all stared at her outfit in shock but mostly disgust.
"What...are you wearing?" Leo asked, clearly disturbed.
"My Christmas pjs" Principal Perry said with a smile.
"Wanna see my belly dance Frosty the Snowman?" Principal Perry asked as she slowly started dancing.
"No! No!" me and Leo yelled together as we were quick to run out of the room with dad following behind us.
Trust me.
Nobody.
And I mean nobody at all, wants to see that women dance in weird ass pajamas like those.
The Next Day
It was the next day and the trio still haven't come back from their mission and I was getting worried.
I really wanted to spend christmas with them, especially Chase.
This would've been our first christmas as a couple.
But anyways, right now we're all in the living room opening our presents.
I had opened mine first because I didn't want Principal Perry stealing them from me.
Dad had gotten me a nice charm bracelet, Tasha got me a beautiful hat and Leo had gotten me a nice silver hair pin.
Once I had opened them I quickly ran to my room and left them there.
Right now the others are opening theirs but it was really hard to talk to each other because of Principal Perry's loud ass snoring.
"Thank you for the scarf, Donald" Tasha yelled but dad gave her a confused look.
"What?" Dad asked.
"I said thank you, for the scarf!" Tasha yelled again.
"Oh, you're welcome" Dad yells back with a smile and a nod before turning to Leo.
"So, Leo" Dad said as he shook Principal Perry's tent and thank gosh is stopped her snoring.
"What'd you get?" Dad asked.
"I got socks" Leo said as he took out his socks, only to see that they were half ripped and wet.
"Wet socks. Oh" Leo said.
"That have been marked by a cat" Leo said as he smelt them, only to gag in disgust as he threw them away.
"Okay" Leo said.
"Thats's just gross" I said in annoyance.
Then we hear beeping and see that it was Tasha's phone.
She takes it out of her pocket and looks at it as a frown forms on her face.
"Oh, no. Grandma's snowed in. She's not gonna make it" Tasha said.
I sighed in sadness while Leo looked annoyed.
"Great. So, no Adam, no Bree, no Chase, and no Grandma turkey? How much worse can this get?" Leo asked.
As soon as he said that Principal Perry walked out of her tent, looking completely tired out as she was yawning and stretching.
"And there's your answer" I said to Leo who only nodded.
"Merry Christmas, Principal Perry. I hope you slept well" Dad said in a polite tone.
"Mind your own business" Principal Perry snapped at him, causing dad to glare at her.
"Ooh, Santa came. What'd I get? What'd I get?" Principal Perry asked with a smile.
She then bent down and our eyes widened as he onesie ripped.
Me and Leo were quick to look away along with dad.
"Hopefully, some new pjs, 'cause those just ripped" Dad said and I nodded.
"Um, no one got you--" Leo started but Tasha cut him off.
"Ooh, uh, of course we got you something. It's Christmas. You can't not get a gift on Christmas" Tasha said.
"It would be rude" Principal Perry nodded as she sat down.
"Here you go, Principal Perry. Merry Christmas" Tasha said as she handed her a random gift.
Principal Perry smiles as she starts opening it and gasps at what she was seeing.
"A QHT video game system! I can exchange this for a nice blouse and two pair of slacks. The good kind that you don't have to iron. Or wash" Principal Perry grinned.
Leo's eyes went wide as he slowly stood up from the couch.
"But I asked for a QHT!" Leo said as he turned around to glare at Tasha and dad.
"Worst Christmas ever" Leo said as he walked away, making me frown.
I felt really bad for him because Principal Perry just came here and his gift got handed to her just like that.
"Ooh, somebody needs a nap. Did he like the socks?" Principal Perry asked.
I glared at her as I got up from the couch and grabbed my present for Leo.
"No he didn't, but what he would like is for you to leave and stop runing our christmas" I said in annoyance.
I grabbed my phone and walked out of the living room and headed down to the lab.
Once I got there I frowned when I saw Leo sitting at the cyberdesk, looking completely down.
"Leo I'm so sorry Principal Perry took your gift" I said while walking towards him.
"It's fine Luna, it's not your fault" Leo said.
"Here, maybe this will make you feel better" I said with a smile.
He smiled as he took the gift from me and started unwrapping it.
He let out a gasp as he took it out.
"A QHT video game system!" Leo yelled and I nodded.
"But Principal Perry already had one in her hands, how?" Leo asked.
"I knew you've been dying to have that since forever, so I saved up enough money in order to buy you one. And since I knew Tasha would've given Principal Perry a random present because none of us got here anything, I hid mine for you behind the tree so she didn't pick it" I explained.
"Thank you Luna, thank you" Leo said as he hopped off the cyberdesk and hugged me.
I giggled and hugged him back.
"Anything for you Leo" I said as we pulled away from the hug.
"Christmas just got a little bit better" Leo said, causing me to giggle.
A Few Hours Later
Dad had joined us down in the lab as we all watched the grinch movie together while eating cookies.
Trust me, this was better then being upstairs with Principal Perry.
"You know, after spending time with Perry, the Grinch doesn't seem like such a bad guy" Dad said and me and Leo nodded.
"Yeah, at least after he took everyone's presents he went home" I said.
"Mm-hmm" Dad and Leo said together.
Soon Tasha walked into the lab.
"What are you three doing down here?" Tasha asked.
"Same thing I do at school. Hiding from Principal Perry" Leo grinned as he took a bite out of his cookie.
"Leo, she is our guest. It is rude to leave her upstairs by herself. So get up there and let us know when she's gone" Tasha said as she sat down on dad's lap.
"Yeah" Dad nodded.
I giggled as Leo shook his head.
Soon we heard the doors opening and we turned around and a smile appeared on my face as we saw the trio walk in.
"Oh!" Tasha said with a smile.
"You're back!" Leo grinned as we all got up and walked over to them.
"It's so good to see you guys. Merry Christmas!" Tasha said.
"Merry Christmas!" Dad said with a smile.
We all hug each other one by one while saying merry christmas to each other.
I hugged Chase really tightly as he does the same.
We pulled away from the hug as I gently pecked him on the lips.
"It's good to see you safe and sound" I said with a smile.
"Me too sweetheart" Chase said as he kissed my forehead and wrapped one arm around my waist.
"So, how'd the mission go?" Dad asked.
"Yes" Chase said with a smile.
"Well, how's my research facility?" Dad asked and the three of them started to laugh awkwardly.
"Oh, you wouldn't even recognize it" Bree said and dad nodded with a smile.
"Hey, why are we down here when the presents are upstairs?" Adam asked.
The three of them smile and nod as they were about to go upstairs but Leo stopped them.
"Hey, wait, wait. Not so fast. Um...Principal Perry is upstairs. I repeat, Perry is in the house" Leo warned them.
They looked at me and dad as we nodded.
"You know, I am very tired" Chase said as he started walking back.
"Yeah, I could use some sleep" Adam said as he started walking back too.
"See you in the new year" Bree said while following her brothers.
" Freeze" Tasha said as they stopped walking and turned to look at her.
"Look, the poor woman is all alone" Tasha said.
"I wonder why" I sarcastically said while rolling my eyes.
"And it's Christmas. Hey, at least we're all together. So, let's make the best of it, right?" Tasha said with a smile.
"Absolutely not. Enough is enough. We are going to march up there right now and tell this woman, vamoose, lady! This is our Christmas!" Dad yelled.
All of us smirked as we all start cheering and started to walk out but Chase stopped us.
"Wait! She can't see us in our mission suits" Chase said as we all looked at dad.
"Well, hurry up and change, I'm not telling her without backup" Dad said.
The trio nodded as they hurried into their capsules to get changed.
Back Upstairs
Once the trio had finished changing we all went upstairs to talk to Principal Perry.
"Principal Perry, we-- Uh, smell food" Dad said.
We all looked around to see that she was cooking and that there were so many nice delicious foods around the kitchen.
"What are you doing?" Leo asked.
"What's it look like? I'm making dinner" Principal Perry shrugged.
"We've had enough of this. Get out!" Adam yelled.
Tasha lightly smacked his arm as her and dad walked into the kitchen.
"Principal Perry, this is amazing" Tasha said with a smile.
"Well, I didn't see you cooking anything" Principal Perry shrugged, causing Tasha's smile to turn into a frown.
"Wow. I can't believe you actually did something nice" Bree said and I nodded.
"It's a Christmas miracle" Chase said.
"Ah, it's nothing. I figured I crashed your holiday, it's the least I can do" Principal Perry said.
"Yeah, well thanks for doing this" I said with a small smile.
"Oh, look, how fancy. She made a Christmas goose" Tasha said as her and dad peek through the oven.
"It's actually a swan from the pond down the street. You know, you could walk right up to 'em" Principal Perry said.
Then we heard a cat meow from across the room.
"Please tell me that's not coming from the oven" Dad said while looking around.
"I got it. The Christmas tree is one big scratching post for those cats" Principal Perry said as she ran over to the christmas tree.
"Ooh, come on, Dingle. Come on, boy. Oh, he's usually very, very good" Principal Perry said as she tries getting her cat otu.
"Come on, Dingle, come on. He's getting really feisty now. Sorry about this. We're guests, Dingle, we're guests. Come on, Dingle. Come on. Get out of here!" Principal Perry yelled.
Then she jumps over the tree and starts throwing the ornaments at us from behind as we all tried dodging it.
Dad managed to catch one green ornament as Principal Perry continued fighting with her cat.
A Few Minutes Later
Now we were all sitting at the kitchen table and eating together as a family.
I was sitting next to Chase as we ate the dinner Principal Perry made for us as she continued serving us.
"Principal Perry, thank you again for this meal" Tasha said with a smile.
"Oh, you're welcome" Principal Perry smiled before she took out something from her pocket and placed it in front of dad.
"I'll take that whenever you're ready" Principal Perry said.
"What's this?" Dad asked.
"Uh, your bill" Principal Perry said.
I should've seen that coming.
"I see you included tax, tip, and the cost of a new tire" Tasha said in annoyance.
"Sorry, gratuity is included for parties of six or more. I have no say in that" Principal Perry said.
"You're actually gonna charge us for dinner?" Dad asked in disbelief.
"Well, I didn't make this meal with love. I made it with skill, sweat, and whatever came off the tip of my pinky when I was chopping the veggies" Principal Perry said as she walked away.
We were all quick to spit out our food as dad spat his water out and we all started coughing.
"I'm going to be sick" I said in annoyance.
"You and me both" Bree nodded.
While the others were still recovering from spitting out the food I had stood up and grab Chase's hand and pulled him away from the others.
I took the medium present from under the tree and turned back to Chase with a smile on my face.
"Merry Christmas Bubba" I said while handing him the present.
"Sweetheart, you didn't need to get me anything" Chase said.
"I know, but this is your first christmas and I wanted to get you something special. So take it and open it" I said.
He chuckled and nodded as he took the present from me.
He then unwrapped it and revealed a medium black box.
He then opened it and a smile appeared on his face.
"Well, do you like it?" I asked.
"Sweetheart, I love it. It's beautiful, but why are there two?" Chase asked in confusion.
"Because they are couple bracelets. The black one is for you while the other one is for me" I said with a smile.
I took the gold one out of the box and placed it on my hand.
"Here, let me help you with yours" I said and he nodded.
He took out his bracelet and gave it to me as I gently clipped it onto his hand.
"There" I said softly.
"Sweetheart, I love it. Thank you" Chase said.
"Of course bubba" I said.
"Hey guys!" Leo yelled as we looked over at him.
"Look up" Tasha said.
Me and Chase looked up, only to see a misletoe above us.
We looked back at each other and smiled.
"Might as well" I said with a smile.
Before we knew it we pressed our lips against each others as I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around my waist.
We both smiled into the kiss and made no effort to break.
Yeah, this was the best christmas ever.
