When they arrived near the location where Mad dog is hiding-everyone got out of their cars, getting ready to silently walk the distance from where they were standing to the abandoned house.
Sergeant Lowell's team, on the other hand, are behind those high ranking officers of SF unit. They are only here to assist, not to lead, so they will follow every instructions from the other team. Maybe the Commander saw that they have potentials that's why they were asked to assist high ranking officers.
Some of the SF soldiers are tasked to watch the whole West Land, the country isn't a small one so all of the teams are scattered everywhere.
When they reached the abandoned house, everyone scattered. Someone is hiding in the bushes, some are climbing up in the trees, and some soldiers silently went near the abandoned building.
Sergeant Lowell asked the five of them to position their selves in prone position. They will be the snipers and they will cover all of the soldiers that will enter the abandoned house.
When they saw the go signal, the soldiers who are hiding near the house entered using the windows and the back door. While Sergeant Lowell's team are on standby.
"Nakakangalay," reklamo ni Drey. That's true, staying in prone position for a long time while watching everyone's movement using the telescopic sight is numbing their whole bodies.
"Silence," saway ni Sergeant Lowell mula sa sound device nila. Malayo itong nakaposisyon sa kanila.
Ilang minuto matapos pumasok ang mga sundalo ay walang labanan na nangyari, tahimik lamang ang buong paligid nang biglang may sumabog mula sa loob ng bahay.
"What the fvck is that?" sigaw ni Warner.
"Stay on your position, don't move and don't talk. That's an order," sabi ni Sergeant Lowell na seryosong nakatingin sa telescopic sight.
Walang nagawa ang lima kun'di maging tutok sa telescopic sight para tingnan ang nangyayari sa loob ng abandonadong bahay. May nakita silang mga lalake na puros naka black tuxedos, nakatutok ang mga baril sa nakatalikod na mga sundalo. "Ready to shoot those people wearing black tux... Aim... fire!"
They immediately shot everyone who are wearing black tuxedos. Tila nagulat pa ang mga sundalong kanina ay nakatalikod ngunit agad rin naman silang naka-recover at kanya-kanyang nagtago sa sulok-sulok.
'Mad dog is really a member of a mafia?' Danica asked herself.
Men in black won't be here if he's not an important person in the mafia. But whose mafia? Kaninong mafia siya galing?
'Is it from the Frey's or the Pedroarias'?' Kitty asked inside her mind.
Everyone knows who the Frey's are, not because they have a crime family but because of business. Only the people from the underworld know that they are from a crime family. But the Pedroarias, kaunti lang ang mga nakakikila sa kanila.
Pedroarias crime family is the second in the rank in the underworld-in the gangster world. Of course, Frey mafia is always on the top and the Pedroarias are the second. Despite of being in the 2nd rank, they are still discreet about everything. The boss of the Pedroarias-Ivest Pedroarias-never comes out. Kailanman ay wala pang nakakakita sa kaniya mula nang maging ganap siyang mafia boss maliban sa pamilya nito at sa mga high ranking officials ng Pedroarias.
Even their mafia underboss, wala pang nakakakita sa mukha nito kahit pa mga high ranking officials. Some says, he/she's the son/daughter of Ivest Pedroarias. But everytime they'll have a meeting, the Underboss always wear a mask and a hoodie jacket so no one can tell if he/she is a man or a woman.
Ilang sandali pa ay may sumabog muli sa loob ng abandonadong bahay. Ano bang nangyayari sa loob at puro pagsabog na lamang ang nagyayari?
"Mad dog is Dead. I repeat, Mad dog is dead," rinig nilang lahat mula sa sound device na nakalagay sa kanilang tenga.
Gulat at pagkalito ang bumakas sa kanilang mga mukha. "Who killed him? Did someone from the SF accidentally killed him?" tanong ni Sergeant Lowell.
"No, he's already dead before we came here. His body says it all that he's been dead for a while," the captain of the leading team said.
There is a question that keeps on running through their heads. 'Who the fvck killed him?'
"Retreat!" sigaw ng Captain ng kabilang team.
Sobrang dami ng mga taong nakaitim, hindi alam nina Kitty kung ilan na ang nabaril nila. Gusto man nilang patamaan ang mga ito sa kanilang ulo ay hindi nila ito pwedeng gawin. Labag sa batas kung ang mangyayari ay intensyonal na binaril ng isang sundalo o opisyal ang isang kriminal direkta sa ulo. Maaari silang makasuhan sakaling mamatay ang isang kriminal sa kanilang mga kamay.
There are also acceptable cases like a soldier didn't intentionally kill a criminal but the officer conducted a self defense that killed the criminal.
Nang makitang papalabas na ang leading team ay naka-take cover pa rin ang team ni Sergeant Lowell habang ang ibang teams naman na nakakalat sa paligid ay gano'n din ang ginagawa.
Sunod-sunod na putok ang ginawa ng kabilang grupo, gano'n din ang ginawa ng SF unit. "The AF unit will be here in 30 minutes. The Commander wants us to hold on," another captain said.
"Is the Commander insane? Hold on? What the fvck is wrong with you, father! We'll be killed here," inis na sabi ni Danica.
"It's our duty to die for West Land, Private Estrella," may diin na sabi ni Sergeant Lowell.
"It is! But how can he-"
"Danica, just stop okay? Walang magagawa 'yan," naiiritang sabi ni Kitty habang nakatutok pa rin sa mga taong nakaitim.
Nang makarating ang ibang miyembro ng leading team sa kinaroroonan nila ay walang tigil na putukan ng baril ang maririnig sa buong paligid. "Where's Sergeant Hirsh? Where's your captain?" tanong ni Sergeant Lowell sa team na dumating.
The other team are in tears at halos hindi makapagsalita. Ang iba sa kanila ay mayroong tama ng baril sa katawan. "C-captain..."
"Private first class Poncho, where is Sergeant Hirsh?!"
"H-he was shot, Sergeant Lowell."
"Then where is he?"
"Our captain is d-dead," umiiyak na sabi ni Poncho na mas lalong ikinaiyak ng iba nitong kamang sundalo. Their team is one of the best teams in SF unit, Sergeant Hirsh is one of the bravest soldiers in the unit. And hearing that he's already dead made everyone lose their hopes. They won't be able to hold on, masyadong marami ang kalaban.
"You should have at least brought his body back!" inis na sigaw ni Sergeant Lowell. Losing a comrade and a brother in a mission is painful. Sergeant Lowell knows that the team can't bring the body back, they'll die if they will.
In a war between countries and in a war between soldiers and criminals, Sergeant Lowell knows that bringing a dead body will be the death of yours. It will only become your burden. He knows and yet he asked due to the disappointment and the sadness he's feeling.
"We called each other brothers-in-arms but we can't even bring his body back. I'm sorry, Sergeant Lowell," another soldier from their team said with tears falling from his eyes.
"Stop crying! The fight isn't over yet, stop being dramatic. You are all soldiers! A soldier shouldn't cry just because a comrade died. We should be honored that someone like Sergeant Hirsh died for our country! He's a hero, so please stop crying and prevent that fvcking tears of yours from falling. Because if you'll keep on doing that, we won't be able to hold on anymore!" the captain from another team stated.
Everyone stopped for a moment before realizing something. The fight isn't over yet. Crying won't help them win and hold on until the Armed Forces unit arrive.
Kitty-who's still in prone position-saw something from the men in black. All of them has a crest tattoo at the back of their necks.
'It's Pedroarias.'
