On their way home, Yamato tried to force herself to go faster, as to get the injured home quicker without her slowing down the rest of the fleet. Thanks to that however, she blew out an engine and couldn't move her rudders at all.
Yamato:*blushing* Can it at least not be so embarrassing?!
If you're wondering, Kurfürst is carrying her on her shoulders, despite the empress being as tall as her sister, Kurfürst didn't mind the weight and only enjoyed the motherly bonding time.
Maya:...
Chitose: This is such a weird day...
Maya: Agreed
Yamato: Put me down!!
Kurfürst: Nein!

Despite the many cries of protest, Yamato was still held on Kurfürst's shoulders, her embarrassment getting the better of her, covering her face as many of the girls watch the scene.
Kurfürst: Looks like everyone's safe, so me and Yamato will report in. You all rest well ok?
They saluted and went their separate ways.
Kurfürst:*sigh* They need to lighten up sometimes

Yamato stayed quiet after that. Soon enough, they were inside the shrine and going to the garden area, knowing it was Mutsu's favorite spot.

Mutsu: You're back!...umm-

Kurfürst put Yamato down before sitting down herself.
Kurfürst: Well, the fleet was taken down, Maya and Chitose took some damage, while Fubuki is completely fine, albeit a bit scruffed up.
Mutsu: That's good, no major injuries. So how did Yamato do?
Kurfürst: I just told her to observe since she doesn't have actual experience yet
Mutsu: So you decided to tell her huh?
Yamato:*blushing* Shut up!
Kurfürst: Anyway, I'm sorry to say Mutsu, but I have to leave soon

In the somewhat crowded streets of the Sakura Empire, many were moving out of the way for the trio.
Mutsu: Oba-san, I know somewhere we could go!

Mutsu ran off, turning to the two and waving for them to follow her.
Yamato:*sigh* Real roadrunner that one is

The soon caught up to Mutsu, who was standing in front of a large pond, in said pond was some of the other girls.
Kurfürst: Mutsu, is this what I think it is?
Mutsu: Yep! It's a public pool!
Kurfürst: I haven't gone to a pool in a while, so this will be nice. What about you Yamato?
She turned to address her, but was met with Yamato lying face first on the ground.
Kurfürst:...You ok?
Yamato: I...can't...run...
Kurfürst:*sigh* We need to work on your stamina...
Mutsu: CANNONBALL!!
*SPLASH*
Yamato: Hey! Watch the tails!
Kurfürst: Stop your whining and get in the damn water!
She grabbed the fox, who started to squirm and claw at her, not even breaking her skin.
Yamato: Nononono! These take hours to dry!
Kurfürst: That doesn't matter, enjoy your youth!

She threw Yamato in the water, when she emerged from under the water, her hair was a mess and her tails were laying flat on the water.
Yamato: What the hell Kurfürst!!

Yamato growled at her, before she felt a splash behind her. Turning around, she saw Ayanami with a squirt gun.
Ayanami: Yamato-Dono, you should join us

She turned back to Kurfürst, who was giving her a thumbs up.
Yamato:*sigh* Fine! I will

Kurfürst: Haaah...kids
She was sat on a chair with sunglasses, tanning in the high rise sun.
?: Are you jealous of them?
She looked to her side and saw a...gifted woman.
Kurfürst: You are?
?: Sorry for late introductions, my name is Taihou
Kurfürst: Well then Taihou, no I'm not
She looked back to the group of girls in the water, Yamato was cheering victoriously as she sprayed Yukikaze's ear, earning a shriek from the cat.
Kurfürst: I've long outgrown them, and it's time for them to take the mantle. Besides, the water isn't good for my old bones
Taihou:*giggles* I knew you would say that...Oh! Before I forget, can you join me in the kitchen later?
Kurfürst: For what reason?
Taihou: I've heard about your cooking from Nagato-sama, I wish to learn how to cook like you can
Kurfürst:*smiles* I'll be happy to teach you Taihou! Maybe one of these days, you can teach the others how to cook my foo-

Taihou covered her mouth in shock, as the woman she was just talking too was now drenched head to toe in water. Her swimsuit was now hugging her figure tightly.

Kurfürst looked back to the water, watching as nearly everyone pointed at Yamato, who was holding a few water balloons.
Yamato:...
Kurfürst: Taihou, we'll continue this later
Taihou: H-hai...
Yamato: H-hey Kurfürst, that was a joke! Hehe...just a joke!...please don't kill me...
Kurfürst sat up and placed her sunglasses on the table next to her, turning back to the nervous super battleship with red eyes.
Kurfürst: Du bist Schon tot
Yamato:...Nani?

Kurfürst was drying off with her towel, making especially sure that her hair was dry.
Mutsu: Are you sure she's alright?
In the background, Yamato was on her stomach, while Ayanami was rolling her hands up her back, making Yamato spit out water.

Kurfürst: She'll be fine, she's a battleship after all
Mutsu: Well...if you say so
They walked into the changing room, both coming out wearing their usual outfit, with Kurfürst simply in her under armor.
Mutsu:*Yawns* Today's been a day
Kurfürst: Yeah, I agree
They walked back to the shrine...after Kurfürst picked up the passed out Yamato.
Kurfürst: Where's her room?
Mutsu: It's down the main corridor, it's the only room in it
Kurfürst: Alright then
She kissed Mutsu's forehead and wished her good dreams before going to Yamato's room.
*creak*
Kurfürst: Wow...your room is pretty nice
She looked around Yamato's room and noticed the many antiques around.
She laid Yamato down on the bed, tucking her in and making sure she was fine.

Kurfürst: Hm?
She noticed something in the corner of the room, it was a ship model.
Kurfürst: Oh...my god
It was a model of Großer Kurfürst herself.
Kurfürst: I guess they drew models off of my plans eh?
She looked next to it, spotting a small book near the model.
Kurfürst: "The art of Naval Warfare: Siren Combat"
Kurfürst smiled and looked to Yamato.
Kurfürst: You were studying using my book? Warms an old lady's heart
She set the book down and turned to leave the room, but she stopped before she left.
Kurfürst: What is that?
She turned to the bed and saw the battleship tense up in her sleep, clearly having a nightmare.
Kurfürst:...Guess it's time to adopt again
She walked over to her bed and opened the covers, laying down next to Yamato. She slowly stroked Yamato's hair, watching as the girl calmed down from her nightmare.
Kurfürst: You're just like Bismarck...
She wrapped the battleship in a hug, letting her rest on her chest. A smile graced Yamato's lips as she started resting peacefully once more.
Kurfürst: Gute nacht, mein schüchterner Fuchs
She drifted into sleep as well, happy to have extended her family once more. Having sweet dreams knowing Amagi was watching from the Heavens.
