Luna's Pov
Me and Leo were cleaning up around the house.
We had to do some of our chores, it sucks, but at least we get paid once we're done.
Once we were done we walked into the kitchen where Tasha was.
"Ugh. Okay. Toilet's clean. Bathtub's clean, sink is clean" I said.
"And may I just say, you people are disgusting" Leo yelled and I nodded.
"Here's your chore money" Tasha said as she handed us some money and I smiled.
"Awesome, more money, I can ask dad to place this into my bank account when he returns" I said with a smile.
"Sweet! I have enough money to see the new Pig Zombie movie and get a T-shirt. Pig Zombie: Cruise Ship Massacre in 3-D. Hungry hogs on the high seas" Leo cheered.
"Leo, I don't want you wasting your brain, your money or your time on that trash. You are not going to see Pig Zombies. End of discussion" Tasha said.
"Well, but--" Leo started.
"Uh-uh" Tasha said.
"Can I--" Leo started but was cut off by Tasha making some weird noises and walking away from him.
"Glad to see we were able to talk this out" Leo sarcastically said.
The trio walked in and I walked over to Chase and kissed his cheek.
"Hey babe" I said.
"Hey baby" Chase said with a smile.
Adam looked at Leo and laughed when he saw what he was wearing.
"Leo, I know you want to be a superhero, but that's the worst costume ever" Adam said.
"I was cleaning the bathroom, so I could get some money to see my favorite movie. But someone who shall remain nameless" Leo said while looking at Tasha who smiled and waved.
"Won't let me go" Leo said.
"Wait a minute. You get paid money just for cleaning stuff?" Chase asked.
"Oh, yeah. Most kids have chores" Tasha said and I nodded.
"You clean things around the house, and then you get an allowance from your parents" I explained with a smile.
"I want chores!" Bree cheered.
"I want money!" Chase cheered.
"Oh, I want a big furry hat so I can wear it to scare animals!" Adam cheered and I giggled.
"You guys can finish my chores. There's no reason for me to have money since Miss Bank-Manager put a freeze on my fun account" Leo said as he glared at Tasha before walking away.
"So, where should we start?" Bree asked.
"Just look around the house and see what needs to be cleaned" Tasha said as she left the room.
"I got this" Adam said as he lifted the couch with his super strength and started shaking it so the dirt would come out.
"Oh! That's where I left my lucky floss" Adam said as he took it off and put the couch back down.
"If you use that, I will hurl" Chase said and I nodded.
"And then I will clean up that hurl. Ka-ching" Adam said as he used the floss and I gagged.
"You guys have fun cleaning, I'm going to get me a snack" I said while walking to the kitchen.
I got myself a bag of chips and water while the trio continued cleaning the house using their bionics.
It took them 3 minutes but they finally finished cleaning.
"Perfect!" Bree cheered, I looked around and I was really impressed.
"Nice job guys" I said with a smile and they all smiled.
"You could eat off of this floor" Bree said and Adam smiled.
"Could? Can and will" Adam said as he began licking the floor and I groaned in disgust.
Tasha then walked in the room and looked really shock but happy at the same time.
"Wow. You guys just did a day's worth of chores in three minutes. You know, if this whole mission thing doesn't work out, I can buy a minivan, and we can open up a cleaning service" Tasha said happily.
I giggled and shook my head at her.
"Here you go" Tasha said as she handed the trio $7 each.
"Oh, mama just got a new pair of shoes" Bree cheered.
"I am now worth seven dollars" Chase cheered.
"I wish I knew how to count" Adam cheered as he rubbed the money on his cheeks.
"Just make sure you all spend your money responsibly" Tasha said.
"Yeah, like me. All the money I get either from dad, Tasha, friends, or grandma Rose I put into my bank account dad made for me when I turned 14" I explained.
"How much money do you have saved up?" Bree asked.
"Almost $2,000" I said with a smirk.
All their mouths dropped in shock, even Tasha.
"When you're responsible and save your money, you have a lot saved up, take notes" I said with a smirk.
I flipped my hair and walked away to find Leo.
2 Days Later
I woke up and got into the shower.
After my shower I got out and changed into a black tank top, white jeans, and black sneakers
I walked downstairs and saw Chase and Bree.
"Morning babe" I said with a smile as I walked over to him and kissed his cheek.
"Morning baby" Chase said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
Adam then walked in with a smile on his face.
"Hey, guys. The neighbors are selling their stuff in the front yard. I spent my last five bucks on this whole basket of used socks" Adam cheered.
He placed a basket of huge socks on the couch and I groaned in disgust.
"You don't even wear socks" I said.
"Hello? Sock puppets" Adam said and I rolled my eyes at him.
"Well, I spent my chore money starting my hideous babies collection-- There's Lip-Sore Lizzy, Pink-Eye Peggy, and limited edition Triple-Chin Chuck" Bree said as she showed us her weird creepy dolls.
"Out of everything I never expected you to buy creepy ass dolls" I said.
She glared at me while the boys laughed.
"What'd you buy, Chase?" Adam asked.
"I bought financial security" Chase said with a smirk and I giggled.
"That's right. Just me and my money for the rest of my life" Chase said.
"Excuse me" I said as I glared at him.
He smiled and gave me a soft kiss on the lips, "of course you too baby" Chase reassured me and I smiled.
"I'm saving every last dollar. Friends come and go, but money and my wonderful relationship with my beautiful girlfriend is forever" Chase explained and I smiled.
He suddenly pulled out some handcuffs and handcuffed one of his arms to his brief case.
Tasha walked into the room and smiled at us.
"Hey, guys. How's it going?" Tasha asked.
"Pretty well for me so far" I said with a smile.
"Great now that you're back" Chase said before kissing my cheek and getting off the couch.
"Money, money, money, money, money, money, money" Chase begged and started making grabby hands towards her.
Tasha smiled before raising her eyebrows and sniffed the air.
"Is someone cooking bacon?" Tasha asked.
"Oh, turkey bacon. I'm cooking it in my new bacon pack" Adam said as he turned around to show us his new backpack that was covered in bacon.
He smiled and took a piece of bacon out.
"It's a bacon cooker! On my back in a pack in case I wanna snack" Adam said as he took a bite out of his bacon.
"Look-- I'm glad you guys all love your chores but you already did everything. You're gonna have to wait until next week" Tasha said as she walked away.
"What? No, no way! I'm down to my last two pairs of spray-on jeans" Adam said while shaking his can of spray jeans.
"And I have to get that Drooling Debbie doll. She's part of a set with Barfy Betty" Bree said as she held one of her dolls as it vomited.
I gagged and looked away.
"How cute is she?" Bree asked with a smile.
"Now, now, now. If only you had saved your money. You'd be feeling as secure as-- Oh, who am I kidding? I need more money too" Chase said and I glared at him.
"Seriously babe?" I asked and all he did was shrug and smile nervously at me.
"Guys you heard Tasha, there's no more chores to do, so just live with it" I said.
"Wait a minute. Why don't we just sell our things like the neighbors did. I mean, There is plenty of stuff around here that no one uses" Bree suggested.
"Well, yeah, like, this figurine" Chase said as he held a figurine.
"Or this book.
"Or this pillow" Chase said as he walked over to the couch and grabbed one of Tasha's pillows.
"Hey, I use that" Adam argued.
"For what?" Chase asked, clearly confused.
Adam looked at the pillow before hitting Chase in the face with it, making him fall on top of the couch.
Chase glared at him while Adam smirked.
"What? You asked" Adam said.
"Guys this isn't a good idea" I said and they all looked at me.
"What, why not?" Bree asked.
"Well for starters you could accidentally sell something important that belongs to either my dad or Tasha. If you then you're not going to get it back and you're all going to get in trouble" I explained.
"Baby relax, we're not going to sell any of their things, just ours" Chase reassured me.
"Yeah, we promise" Adam said.
I just groaned but nodded.
"Fine, but let's make one thing clear" I said while taking a few steps towards them.
"Don't go anywhere near my room, don't take my stuff at all, and if you do. You're all going to be sleeping with one eye open, got it?" I threatened.
"Yes mam" all three of them said in fear.
"Good, glad we got that cleared up, have fun with the yard sale" I said.
I gave Chase a quick kiss on the lips before walking upstairs.
I walked into my room and took out my song book so I could start writing some new song ideas.
After 20 minutes for writing I got a text message.
I took my phone and immediately smiled when I saw who it was.
Text Messages
Ian: Hey Luna, been a long time since we last talked huh?
Me: Hey Ian, and yeah it has been a while, how have you been? How's Australia?
Ian: Really well, me and my parents are really enjoying it here.
Me: That's great, I just wish you visited
Ian: I do too, but I've just been so busy with school and family
Me: Don't sweat it, I totally understand
Ian: I promise that whenever I can I'll come visit you and Mr. Davenport
Me: That's what I like to hear
Ian: Sorry to cut this short but I need to go, my parents are calling me for dinner
Me: No problem, have fun
Ian: Bye Luna, talk later
Me: Bye Ian, talk later
I smiled and turned off my phone.
I haven't heard from Ian since forever so it feels good knowing that he didn't forget me.
I closed my book and put it back into my drawer.
I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
A Few Hours Later
I woke up around 7pm and stretched my arms.
I got out of bed and left my room.
I headed downstairs and saw the trio by the kitchen counter.
I walked over to Chase and kissed his cheek and sat next to him.
"Hey baby, how was your nap?" Chase asked.
"Amazing, how was the yard sale?" I asked.
"Awesome, we sold a lot of stuff and made tons of money" Bree said.
"Nice" I said and laid my head on Chase's shoulder.
Just then dad walked into the kitchen looking a little panicked.
"Have you guys seen a jewelry box?" Dad asked.
"Is it a little brown wooden one with a gold heart on top of it?" Bree asked.
"Yes!" Dad cheered.
"Haven't seen it" Bree said and walked towards us.
"Me neither" Adam said.
"Nope, not me" Chase said.
"Me neither, ag-- again" Adam said.
"Don't look at me, I don't even know what's going on" I said and dad nodded.
"I don't know what happened to it. It was Tasha's grandma's. I was gonna fix it for her and surprise her with it. If you guys see it, just let me know" Dad explained.
"Awww that's sweet dad" I said and he smiled.
"See what?" Tasha asked as she walked into the kitchen.
"See-- See, uh, that new reality show about the dog and the-- and the bear. They, uh, fall in love and fight crime. It's adorable" Dad explained.
Tasha smiled and nodded.
"It's on TV right now. Let's go watch it" Dad said as he wrapped his arm around her and left the kitchen to go to their room.
"I can't believe we sold Tasha's jewelry box" Chase said.
"I can't believe we ruined his surprise" Bree said.
"I can't believe no one bought this peanut butter" Adam said as he held the peanut butter in his hand and ate some.
Then he gagged in disgust and nearly threw up.
"Huh. Chunky" Adam said.
"I'm sorry you did what?" I asked in complete anger.
"We were having the yard sale and we sold Tasha's jewelry box" Bree explained.
"You guys are complete idiots, I knew this was a bad idea" I complained.
"Don't worry baby, we can just find the guy who bought the box and ask him to give it back to us" Chase said.
"Fine, but you better get it back before dad finds out you guys sold it" I warned them and they nodded.
The Next Day
I woke up the next day.
I took a quick shower and changed.
I made my way downstairs to the kitchen.
I grabbed a cookie before heading to the lab.
When I got there I saw Adam and Chase but there was no Bree.
"Guys, where's Bree?" I asked.
"She should be here soon" Adam said.
Suddenly Bree walked into the lab with a smile on her face.
"So, that neighbor who bought the jewelry box agreed to sell it back to us" Bree said.
"Hell yeah" I cheered.
"Yes!" Adam cheered.
"For $200" Bree said and my smile faded.
"Are you kidding me?" I asked in disbelief.
"Yes! Wait-- is that more than 70?" Adam asked.
"It's an antique, so that's how much he's selling it for" Bree said and I groaned.
"I mean, What are we gonna do? We don't have enough" Bree asked.
"Well, we could sell your stupid dolls" Chase said and Bree glared at him.
"Or, we could sell your stupid face, although I doubt anyone would buy it" Bree said and I glared at her.
"I would buy it for $1,000" I said with a smile and Chase smiled back at me.
"And I'm not selling my bacon backpack. Not just because I've looked everywhere and I have no idea where I put it" Adam said.
"Sorry bud, but it's gone" I said as I patted him on the back.
"You know, we don't have to give up our money or our things if Chase coughs up a few bucks from his wrist vault" Bree said as the three of us faced him.
"Are you kidding me? I didn't sell Tasha's jewelry box, Adam did" Chase protested.
"Oh, I didn't want to sell it. I wanted to sell the bubble wrap" Adam defended.
'For once I'm impressed with Adam being smart and reasonable' I thought.
"We all agreed to have a sale" Bree argued.
"You guys did, I had nothing to do with any of this so don't drag me into this" I said.
"Now give us the money, you greedy, little brat" Bree demanded.
"No, get away from me. No one is getting near my beautiful box of cash" Chase said as he held up his hand where his box was handcuffed to.
Adam activated his heat vision and shot at the cuffs and they were burned off. He ran to him and grabbed the box.
"Hey!" Chase yelled.
Bree superspeeded towards Adam and grabbed the box.
"I'll take speed over smarts any day" Bree said with a smirk and superspeeded away from here.
Chase smirked and let out a laugh.
"Lot of good that'll do her. She doesn't have the key" Chase said as he held the key in his hands.
"And neither do you" Adam said as he snatched the key from Chase and ran away.
Chase ran after him while I rolled my eyes at them.
I walked over to an empty chair and sat down and scrolled through my phone.
Bree superspeeded back into the lab and tried opening the box.
Adam and Chase came running in and cornered Bree.
"There you are!" Adam yelled.
"Aha!" Chase yelled.
"Get her" Adam yelled.
They both ran towards her but she superspeeded away from them and the both of them hugged each other.
They groaned in disgust and pulled away from each other.
"What has life become?" I asked to nobody in particular.
"Give me back my briefcase" Chase demanded.
"Never!" Bree yelled.
"Okay, then" Chase said with a smirk.
He held up his hand and activated his magnetism app and the box flew towards him, nearly hitting Adam but he ducked just in time.
"Ha! Magnetism app. Didn't see that coming, did ya?" Chase asked with a smirk.
"Get him!" Bree yelled.
Adam and Bree ran after Chase and he ran into his capsule and locked the door.
"Try to get me now! It's locked" Chase said.
He opened his capsule and threw his money into the air in happiness.
"This is getting a lil weird" I said.
"Oh, he thinks he's so smart? We'll just use the dryer to blow the money out of his hands" Bree said with a smirk.
She started typing somethings from the cyber desk and activated the fan in Chase's capsule and soon his money started flying everywhere.
"No, please! Come back, old friends! Come ba-a-ack!" Chase begged as he tried grabbing his money.
"Once again, weird" I said.
"Ha! Yeah! Now let's suck the money out by reversing the fan" Adam said as he started typing some buttons and my eyes widened in fear.
"NO STOP" I shouted.
"Adam, no" Bree yelled but it was too later.
Chase's money was getting sucked up and soon turned into shreds.
"Oh, you were like, "Adam, no!" You were like, "Adam, no!" The fan will shred the money. Now I get ya" Adam said as he soon realized what he did.
"I'm going to kill you" I said in complete anger.
Dad walked into the lab and saw Chase inside his capsule with his money.
"Look at you showering in your money. I prefer to bathe in mine" Dad said.
"Dad please, nobody wants to know that" I said and the others nodded.
Chase got out of his capsule and walked towards us.
"Adam and Bree stole my money and turned it into confetti" Chase said as he placed his shredded money on top of the cyber desk.
"I was just trying to get Chase's money to buy back the jewelry box that Adam sold" Bree defended.
"That's right. Chase's money. Who's money? Chase's money. It was mine! It was all mine!" Chase wined like a 5 year old kid.
"Babe stop whining or you're not getting any kisses after this" I threatened and he immediately stopped.
"Whoa, back up. Did somebody say jewelry box?" Dad asked.
"Adam sold it" Chase and Bree said together while pointing at Adam.
"All right, you guys have exactly two seconds to explain what's going on starting now" Dad demanded.
"We saw Leo had chores and earned money, so we wanted chores to get money, we cleaned the whole house, there was nothing left to clean, so we had no chores and no money and that's what happened" Bree explained as she used her superspeed to talk really fast.
Dad looked confused yet surprised.
"What, you said two seconds" I defended and Bree nodded.
"We're sorry, Mr. Davenport. We were doing chores to make money but we wanted more money. So, we held a yard sale. In the house" Chase explained.
"You let people in the house?" Dad asked.
"Now, I know what you're thinking, but don't worry. Only one person took a nap in your bed" Adam said and dad looked at him weirdly.
"When we found out the jewelry box was important, we fought over all the money just to buy it back" Bree explained.
"Which leads to where we are now" I said.
"How could you sell my things?" Dad asked in disbelief..
"Just to be clear they did, I had nothing to do with any of this" I defended and the others glared at me.
"Oh, it's super easy. You just put signs up and people go nuts. I mean, they show up before you're even ready" Adam explained.
"Look, guys, money can make people greedy and selfish" Dad said and I nodded.
"I mean, I know it's hard to tell looking at me because over the years I've learned to hide it with my debonair outer charm" Dad said with a smile.
"What charm?" I asked, making the others laugh and dad glare at me.
"We can get the jewelry box back, we just need $200" Bree said.
"For that piece of junk?" Dad asked and we gave him weird looks.
"I mean, uh, that's reasonable. But you guys are gonna have to work off that $200 by doing every filthy, disgusting chore in the house for a month" Dad ordered.
"No problem" Chase said with a smirk.
"Without using your bionics" I said.
"Exactly" Dad agreed.
"That's a problem" Chase said.
"It's not a problem for me. I've got two helpers. I love to clean. Scrub, scrub, scrub, scrub" Adam said as he showed us his sock puppets.
"Seriously, Mr. Davenport, I will donate some of my brain cells just to even things out a little bit" Chase offered and I nodded.
A month Later
It took the trio a month but they were able to make enough money to get the jewelry box.
Once we got it back dad immediately started working on it and finally fixed it.
Today was the day we were going to surprise Tasha with it.
"All right, keep 'em closed" Dad said as he walked in with Tasha keeping her eyes closed with his hands.
"Okay" Tasha said, "keep 'em closed" Dad said.
"All right. All right" Tasha said.
She then bumped into the couch leg and let out an "ow!"
"Watch where you're going" Dad reminded her and set her down on the couch.
"Okay. And... open 'em" Dad said as he released his hands and Tasha opened her eyes.
"Surprise" we all yelled and Tasha gasped.
"Oh! You fixed my grandmother's jewelry box" Tasha said with a smile and dad nodded.
"It took a long time, but Leo and I painstakingly restored it to its original condition" Dad explained.
"Emphasis on the painstaking part" Leo said and we all laughed.
"That is so sweet of you guys" Adam said as he patted dad on the back but because of his super strength dad dropped the box and it smashed into pieces.
"Oh" we all groaned.
"I'll clean that up for five bucks" Adam offered and I glared at him.
"I'm this close to punching him" I whispered to Chase as I laid my head on his shoulder and he laughed.
"I love you baby" Chase said as he softly kissed my lips.
"I love you too" I said with a smile.
