Lester and the lawyer arrive in the Wilderburg house.
It's been a while since Lester meet Kei.
"Sir," Unexpectedly, Asher is the one who greets Lester.
"Uh...Young Master Settir.."
Lester awkwardly smiles.
Asher frowns and pout.
"Why arw you greeting me just the same way our employee greets me?"
Lester chuckles.
"Well, Is it fine for me to call you your name, young master?"
Asher snorts.
"What else will you call me?"
Lester laughs.
It appears that this kid is actually that easy to get close to.
"Hello Asher."
"Well Hello."
Asher giggles and run back to hug his mother.
Lester feels privilege.
The lawyer urge him to proceed.
"Lester, who is with you?"
Kei asks.
"He is the family lawyer." Faye answered.
"Go upstair Sir Lester,Attorney Chavez."
Lester nods at Kei and Faye and they go up.
"Why would they need lawyer? Are they sueing each other?" Kei frowns.
Aurora smacks the back of his head.
"Don't meddle in their affair. Just make sure you are entertaining Madam Ashley."
Kei looks at Aurora who looks like she is seeing her idol.
"If you want to talk to her, just go like Faye."
Aurora glares at Kei.
"It's not that easy. What if we bother her too much and she got tired?"
"I don't think she is that fragile."
"But she is too beautiful."
Aurora said fan-girling.
Kei rolls his eyes.
"You are impossible."
Aurora sneers.
"Happy to be allowed to call her mother? I am so envious and you actually decline? Why?"
"I never have anyone to call mom or mother. Suddenly asking me to call someone else...."
Aurora seriously rubs Kei's head.
"Don't you call your mother,mom?"
"I don't."
"As in Never?"
"Grandma never talk about mother. She calls her a disgrace and a hard headed woman. She waste her beauty and her education to steal a married man's heart. Grandma is never proud of her."
Aurora looks away.
"If it's hars to talk about it, don't. Why do you want to hurt yourself?"
"Hurt myself? I don't." Kei frowns.
"I never had an attachment towars her since I never met her. I am just grateful she never abort me. That is all. Everything I feel for her is gratitude."
Aurora hugs him.
"Don't make me pity you! I hated you for so long. I an starting to pity even that homewrecker!"
Kei chuckles.
"Don't pity her just because she dies. Death is not an excuse to forgive someone."
"That's too sad! Shut up!" Aurora wipes her eyes.
Kei pats Aurora's hair.
"To be honest, I hate her. For so many years. She made me a criminal. She made me an illegitimate child. But if I said that I will sound ungrateful..I just hope if she got reborn...she would never choose to become a mistress again."
Aurora holds Kei's hand.
"There is no woman who wanted to become a mistress!"
Kei laughs.
"Now you are defending her?" He wipes Aurora's tears with his free hand.
"She never wanted to but she choose to. Aurora, love is not something you are free to feel but it is not an excuse to hurt others. I know it...and so I am living her sin."
Faye walks to them and heard Kei's words.
She kicks the back of his knee making Kei kneel in one knee.
Kei glares at Faye.
"Don't talk badly about your mother! Who gives you the right to talk badly about her? She died for you!"
Faye angrily pointed at her.
"In whatever court we go...Her giving birth to me and dying for me is not to be blame to me!" Kei stands up and pats his knee.
"How heartless are you?"
Faye angrily clenched her fist.
"What do you mean?" Kei frowns.
"As I am growing up, some adults tease me calling me my mother's killer. Children call me a parentless monster.
Our neighbors always laugh while I walk pass them and whispering about my mother climbing up a rich married man's bed. If there is someone who should be mad at my mother......"
"It's not your turn to get mad at her."
Kei turns his head and saw a familiar but also unfamiliar woman.
"Hello, it's been a while now Kei."
".....Maam."
Belle Victorian.
She is beautiful and elegant.
And also...Aurora and Faye's mother.
"Mom!"
Aurora and Faye went to greet their mother with a kiss to her cheek.
"I heard you." Belle flicks Kei's forehead.
Kei rubs his forehead.
"...I am not wrong."
"You think you are not wrong huh. You are the one that grows inside her stomach. How awful and painful it was to give birth...in the end she give up her life for you. Even if the world hated her, you alone has no right to feel that."
Kei looks down pouting.
He feels repulsive inside.
"She is the reason why Grandma cried every night.." he whispers between his teeth.
"You are such a fool." Belle rubs his head.
"She is wrong but you are her redemption. Through you, she can right all her mistake. Wouldn't it be right for you to do that?"
Kei didn't answer.
Belle sighs.
"Why am I going to carry her sins for her? You are not a child anymore. How long will you be stubborn? Just admit that you love her. And everything will be easier."
"Maam, do not put words in my mouth. When did I say I love her?"
Belle rubs his head.
But Kei moves his head away.
Faye and Aurora look at them, unable to meddle.
Ashley stops Asher from running to Kei.
"This is Kei's problem. He should face it alone."
"Why? I won't bother Kei. I will just hold his hand. There is no rule that people should face his worries alone."
Asher said.
Ashley was dumbfounded.
She smiles and rubs Asher's head.
"Right, you really mature fast when you have people you want to protect." Ashley let Asher go.
Asher holds Kei's hand.
Kei is looking down while biting his lips.
He hated it.
Everyone is telling him to let go and forgive his mother.
Telling him he loves her.
Who is she?
She is just someone he barelt knows.
He admits that he owes her his life. He is grateful.
But why does he has to love that mistress?
Half of the misery in his life is cause of her wrong choices.
When Asher holds his hand, Kei looks at him.
Asher smiles at him.
Kei remembers when Asher is lost. He is crying alone.
The first thing that enters his head is to run away and not involve himself with him.
Someone will help him.
Someone else who has a lesser problem.
He is not a hero.
He doesn't want to get involve.
But in the end he stops running away and help him out.
He just want to help him and they will part ways.
But Asher become a huge part of his life.
Talking to Asher is fun because though he is a child he wanted to sound and talk adult.
"Don't worry Kei. You are allowed to feel what you want to feel."
Belle froze hearing Asher.
Kei hugs Asher and he cried hugging him.
This time, it was Kei who is lost.
Kei is always insecure not about being the illegitimate child...what he doesn't know deep inside is....what does he really feel toward his mother.
He believes he hates her.
She is stupid and selfish and she is a homewrecker.
But deep inside he is always feeling like his heart is being stabbed every time he said those words toward her.
But logically, he should not care about her. He barely knows her.
And he agrees that she is a bad woman.
"Not a bad mother..." Kei hugs Asher tighter.
"But she is not a bad mother." This is the only truth that Kei knows about his own mother.
Belle sighs.
Ashley heave a sigh.
Asher pats his head.
"Cry Kei. But make sure not to crush my bones. I still wish to live atleast 70 more years."
Kei let's go of Asher.
Aurora and Faye hug him from the back instead.
Kei wipes his tears.
"Okay, I am fine now!" He angrily pushes them away.
