A few weeks later. At the my apartment.
I walked into the kitchen.
Suddenly i felt a burn in my throat.
I licked my lips and grabbed a blood bag from the fridge.
Then I downed the blood but the burn was still there.
I took another one and then another one, i drank them all.
I felt the veins under my eyes and drank another one.
It was like i was in trance. I couldn't stop. It tasted so good.
Suddenly i heard my dad waking up. I cleaned my mess, grabbed my stuff and walked into the elevator. I hit the button for the lobby.
The doors opened and i walked out.
I was at the nemeton and it was dark.
I looked around and saw some bodies lying on the ground. I looked closer at them.
My jaw dropped.
Scott, Stiles, Lydia, Allison, Dad, Isaac, the twins, Derek and a bunch of other people were lying on the ground.
I ran to Derek "no no no no no"
Then i kneeled down to him and shook him "Derek?"
He didn't move.
I shook him again, his head leaned to the side. I could see bite marks on his neck. I looked around and saw that the others had those too.
I bit in my wrist but stopped when i felt blood on my mouth. I tried to hear any heartbeats but there was nothing, they were all dead. I looked down at me and saw that i was covered in blood.
I did this. I killed the ones i love.
My voice cracked and i shook my head "You can't be dead!"
They were all lying around.
I speeded to dad's body and shook him "Dad, come on, wake up!"
Then i heard two people behind me.
I turned to them and i couldn't believe what i saw.
My jaw dropped.
Mom and Kate.
I shook my head "you can't be real"
Kate "but we are, sweetheart"
Mom "Do you understand now the heartless monster you are?"
I shook my head "I didn't kill them. I would never do that to them."
Kate "are you sure?"
I looked at them and noticed Derek's bite on my mom's shoulder and Peter's claw marks on Kate's throat.
Me "I would remembered it"
Mom "you have no control over it, Corina"
Kate"you killed them in cold blood! That is what you are, a blood thirsty monster!"
I yelled "Shut up!"
Mom shook her head "you can't control yourself. It's just a matter of time till you will break"
I yelled "shut up!
Suddenly my friends and the other dead people stood up.
My eyes widened "The hell? you are dead"
They "you killed us. You killed us"
I shook my head "No, i have it under control!"
They yelled "you killed us!"
Mom "understand now why we wanted to kill you so badly?"
I tried to speed away but Allison stood in my way. I tried to push her away but she then tried to stake me in the heart.
Then i saw a door there and speeded through it.
Allison called after me " You were right. You should've died that night in San Francisco!"
Next thing i remember was that i entered school. I was still shocked.
Lydia walked to me and asked worried "Cori, you okay?"
I just looked at her.
Outside of the school.
I told Allison and Lydia what i saw, i told them about mom and Kate but i let the part out where i killed everyone i love and that i don't have it under control anymore. Kate was right i'm starting to crack. I am a ticking time bomb.
We crossed paths with Scott and Stiles.
Stiles "... it happened to you too. You see things, aren't you?"
Lydia "actually, it's happening to the three of you"
We walked through the door inside.
Lydia smiled "well, well well, look who is the crazy one now"
I shook my head "we are not crazy"
Lydia nodded "yes, you are"
Scott "we died and came back to life. It's got it's side effects, right?"
Stiles "we are keeping an eye on each other. Lydia, stop enjoying this so much"
He walked past her.
Lydia asked innocently "what?"
In Art class.
Lydia sat next to me and Allison next to Lydia. I had a paintbrush in my hand and it had red color on it. I tried to draw something but i couldn't. The red color was driving me insane but somehow i didn't wash it off either.
It reminded me of blood.
My hand started to shake.
Lydia "you should relax"
Me "It's been happening for the past few weeks. Since that night."
I dropped the brush on the color tablet.
Red color splashed on the canvas.
My eyes turned black.
Lydia got up and teared the paper off the canvas "start over"
I inhaled deep, took the brush and draw something.
In the woods. Free period.
Lydia and i were standing few feet away from a tree. She told me that i should try to relax. So we skiped school.
Me "Are you sure?"
Lydia nodded. I took my daggers out.
Then I aimed the dagger and threw it. It flew to the ground. I sighed.
I took another one, threw and again it hit the ground.
Lydia "Maybe you should hold the dagger by the blade"
I raised an eyebrow at her.
Lydia shrugged, irritated "What? i read. try it"
I tried it and failed again.
Lydia put her hands on my shoulder "Okay. take a second. close your eyes and imagine the dagger go to the target."
I closed my eyes.
Then I took a deep breath and opened them.
I looked around and called out "Lydia!?"
I heard something behind me. I turned around and saw my dead friends.
Again.
I groaned, annoyed "not again"
They had still their bite marks on and they looked like zombies. They came closer.
I put a hand out"Stop!"
Dead Scott asked amused "Why? you didn't stop either"
I shook my head "i didn't do anything!"
Dead Derek pointed at the bite wound "This doesn't look like anything"
My voice cracked "Der-"
Dead Derek "I was the last one you killed "
I had tears in my eyes and shook my head "I didn't -"
Dead Dad "What? you regret it?"
They were standing around me.
I sat down on the ground and buried my face in my knees "please stop"
Dead Stiles "you don't regret it, do you?"
I yelled "I didn't even do anything!"
Dead Isaac "That's saying your human part but the vampire part enjoyed every second of it."
I shook my head "No!"
Dead Peter chuckled "don't deny it, sweetheart"
I shook my head "There's nothing to deny, Peter!!"
Dead Mom "just kill yourself and you won't have to live with the pain"
I shook my head "No!"
Then I looked around and got hungry. I shifted. I heard a heart beat. It was only one but it was enough for me. I speeded out of the circle and at it.
Before i could bite the person i got thrown to the ground.
I looked up and saw that it was Isaac.
What in the hell?
I growled at him but then i saw Lydia's face. She was scared.
My eyes went wide and my stomach dropped "I-I- I'm so s-sorry"
Lydia "Wh-y didn't you tell us?"
Me "Tell you what?"
Lydia "that you can't control yourself anymore."
I looked away, ashamed.
At school. at lunch. Outside.
Isaac had told Scott and the others. Great. We were sitting at a table.
I was sitting between Scott and Stiles.
Across from us Alli, Isaac and Lydia.
Scott "Okay. So what happens to someone who has a near death experience, comes back and sees things?"
Stiles added"and is unable to tell if it's real or not"
Isaac "they get all locked up because they are insane"
Stiles "ha ha , can you at least try to be helpful, please?"
Isaac "half of my childhood i was locked in a freezer, so being helpful is kind of a new thing for me"
Stiles asked annoyed "Okay, are we still on that?"
Isaac nodded "yes, we are still on that"
I snapped "could you idiots shut up, please?"
They shut up and i leaned my head on Scott's shoulder.
Then a girl came to us.
Scott told me about her. She was new in his class.
Girl "Hey, I couldn't help overhearing of what you guys are talking about. And actually i might know what you are talking about"
I raised an eyebrow, surprised "you do?"
She nodded "there is a word for it, it's called Bardo. It literally means 'in between state' the state between life and death"
Lydia fake smiled "and what do they call you?"
Scott answered "Kira"
We looked at him. Awkward!
I looked at Allison and there was a hint of jealousy in her eyes.
Scott shrugged "she is in our history class"
Lydia "so you are talking about Bardo in Buddhism or Indian?"
She sat down next to Stiles.
Kira shrugged "neither i guess, but those things that you are talking about, all that happens in Bardo. There are differences progresses where you can have hallucinations. Some you see, some you just hear. You can be visited by demons"
Stiles with sarcasm "Demons? Why not"
Allison "hold on, so if it says that there are different progresses, then what's the last one?"
Kira "Death. You die"
I let out an annoyed breath "How many times do i have to die to get left in peace?."
Scott and Isaac looked at me.
Night. Home.
Lydia, Allison and i were lying in Allison's bedroom on her bed.
Lydia and Allison were sleeping but i couldn't. I couldn't because every time i close my fucking eyes i get this fucking dream or visions or whatever it's called.
I played on my phone.
Suddenly Allison jerked awake and i jumped in surprise.
I whispered shouting "What the hell?"
I didn't want to wake Lydia.
Me "what were you dreaming?"
Allison made sure that Lydia was asleep.
She whispered "i dreamed of Isaac and me making out but i woke up before more happened"
I smirked "well, that's a new one"
She rolled her eyes "go back to sleep"
