A few days later. At the hospital. Night.
Allison, Dad and i were in the mortuary of the hospital.
Dad walked to one of the covered bodies "this one is Shane. Shane was killed by, what Gerard says kind of shapeshifter, who has been around for centuries"
Allison "The thing that you shot outside the club the other night..."
Dad nodded "the south American legends we know call it the Kanima"
Allison and i looked at each other.
He pointed at the other body "this one Jessica. She was strangled to death after giving birth. The police thinks it was done by someone else. We think it's the person who's controlling the other shape shifter. That means two killers, girls. One human one not. You know, the question i have asked Gerard was 'why my family?' he said 'price of greatness is responsibility' but we know the truth and that makes us responsible. For a young couple, the new born daughter, for anyone who doesn't have the powers to defends themselves. Are you two starting to get it?"
Allison nodded "we can. It's not an enlightenment,..."
Me "...it's a interrogation"
Dad "depends on what you know. Gerard showed me the library, Cameras didn't catch everything but do you really think a little high school fight blamed him out of the little damage. We know that you two are trying to protect your friends but people are dieing. The child is now a orphan and that makes you responsible.."
He took the cover off the body and it showed us the naked dead body of the woman.
Allison and i looked away.
Dad "...makes you responsible for this."
I took a deep breath and looked at him "What do you wanna know?"
Dad "Anything you know. Anything that can lead us to the one question. Everything. Who controls the kanima!?"
Allison and i looked at each other.
at home. in the basement.
Allison and i sat on the stairs while Dad, Gerard and other men were preparing their weapons.
Dad looked at his men "Alright! the party is in a warehouse. Allison and Jessica are convinced that Jackson will be there seeking his next target out of the crowd. When the girls have Jacksons location they will sent it to us so that we can take him down. They will lead him out of the crowd. No other will damaged tonight."
Then he looked at us "go ahead"
Allison and i walked upstairs.
Allison "how are you supposed to get into the club? you don't have any tickets"
I shrugged "i'll just compel the guy to let me in"
Allison"who's driving you?"
Me "Stiles"
Allison nodded.
At the club/Warehouse.
We got out of Stiles car.
Me "you know what you have to do?"
Scott nodded but Stiles seemed a little bit distracted.
Scott looked at him "are you okay?"
Stiles nodded "yeah. Why?"
He opened the trunk.
Me "You didn't say anything on our way here"
Stiles "i'm fine. are you taking the bag?"
Scott shook his head "i can't, remember? Deaton said that you have to do it alone."
Stiles nodded "okay this plan is really starting to suck"
Scott's face fell and shook his head "no, not here, not now"
I looked at him confused.
Scott ran into the club and i followed him. I lost him, though.
i looked around and saw Erica and Isaac.
I walked to them "Are you looking for something?"
Isaac eyed me.
Me "My eyes are up here, Lahey"
He looked up.
Me "Where is Derek?"
Erica raised an eyebrow "why?"
Me "because my Dad and Gerard are here, ready to kill Jackson"
Erica sighed "he's outside"
Me "Thanks"
I walked past her outside.
Outside.
I walked to Derek and Boyd.
They looked at me.
Derek "What are you doing h-"
Me "You need to get out of here, Derek. Take your pack and go"
Derek asked confused "Why?"
Me "Gerard and my Dad are here"
Derek thought about it but then shook his head "we are not leaving"
I sighed "Derek, don't be-"
He looked at something behind me.
I turned around and saw Gerard, Dad and the other guys there.
Dad "Derek, back off!"
Derek chuckled"back off"? that's really all you got? i'm gonna be honest, Chris, i really was expecting more from the big bad werewolf hunter"
I whispered to Derek "Don't push it, D."
Dad "okay, then. Didn't anyone tell you not to bring claws to a gun fight?"
Suddenly everybody aimed their guns a us.
Boyd "that one sounded pretty good"
Gerard "Corina, you shouldn't be here"
Me "Who sold me out?"
Gerard "your mother"
I breathed out amused "My own mother betrayed me. Why does that not surprise me?"
Suddenly they started to shoot.
Derek, Boyd and i hid behind a dumpster.
Derek "Cor, get out of her"
Me "And let you have all the fun? no way"
Then we shifted and attacked the men.
I threw one of them against the wall.
Suddenly I heard Scott calling my name.
I speeded to him.
He was at the other side of the building.
Me "what's wrong?"
Suddenly a car rammed both of us.
Everything went black.

I woke up on the floor and saw Scott next to me. I coughed and saw my mother looking at us.
Mom "you probably will recognize this. Pot used to be smoked in a piece of paper. "
a hookah.
I saw her smelling on something.
Mom "this smell of mixed vervain and wolfsbane..is one of my favorites. Lovely smell. You two will probably think otherwise."
Then she put it in the hookah and turned it on.
Scott and i couldn't move.
I think she inject me vervain because my body burned like hell.
Scott pressed out "what are you doing?"
Mom asked amused "isn't it obvious? i'm killing both of you. It'll look like an accident like you had a asthma attack and you couldn't get your inhaler in time."
Me "you really want to kill your own daughter?"
Mom "You are already dead."
I started to cough and rolled onto my back.
Scott "Let her go, stop"
I looked at him. He had shifted. I had too.
Mom "looks like it's working"
Me "you are not better than Kate"
I coughed again.
Mom "Kate did the right thing but i won't fail like she did "
I coughed "There were h-humans in that h-house"
Mom "i think you should stop talking. You only fasten your dying process."
I closed my eyes.

Scott and i were both on our backs. Weak, and shifted.
Mom "Alpha, beta, omega. What are you, Scott? an omega? you know, omegas don't survive long without a pack"
Scott with weak voice "I'm not alone"
Mom "What ?"
Scott raised his voice"i'm not alone"
Then he howled but broke down seconds later.
I leaned to my side and closed my eyes.
Animal clinic.
I started to cough and opened my eyes. I looked around. I was lying on a metal table, Scott was on the one across from me.
Then I slowly sat up, coughing "What happened?"
I looked around, i was still dizzy.
Derek walked to me "Cor, you're okay"
i coughed out "My chest hurts. My whole body hurts"
I let my feet hang down off the table.
Derek put a hand on my cheek and eyed me "what did she do to you?"
I chuckled weakly "I'm so full of vervain that i can barely feel your hand on my face"
The veins in his wrist turned black.
I sighed "Derek, don't"
The pain was still there but i could handle it.
Me "thank you"
He nodded "told you i wouldn't let anyone hurt you. I failed, though"
I shook my head "you didn't."
Derek looked down.
i looked down in tears "My own mother just tried to kill me"
Derek's heart skipped a beat.
i raised an eyebrow "what did you do?"
Derek "I bit her"
My eyes widened "you did what?"
Derek shook his head "i had no choice, Cor, i had to"
I nodded and drove a hand through my hair "What about Jackson? Is he-? did you-?"
Derek "Jackson escaped. "
I breathed out relieved "thank god"
He scoffed "of course "
Me "Were you really going to kill him? without even looking for a cure?"
Derek looked down for a second but then looked up "you need blood"
I pleaded "please, Derek, answer me"
Derek took a deep breath "catch him, then try to safe him and if there's no cure then..."
He finished the sentence with a look.
Me "... kill him"
He nodded but then sighed "you still need blood"
I shook my head "But not from you. "
Derek "I don't think you have much of a choice"
I bit my lip "De-"
Derek "you're not gonna heal if you don't drink"
I sighed and put a hand his chest.
I grabbed his neck with the other hand and bit into his neck.
He sucked in a breath.
I started to drink.
It was pretty good.
