"I don't get it..." I spoke after a second.
Shawn led me to walk on the bridge and we were now sitting on the edge, our feet dangling off.
"Don't get what"? He questioned, not making eye contact.
I shrugged.
"I mean.. It's beautiful here but it's..."
"In bad shape? I know"
"Yeah..." I bit my bottom lip.
"It didn't use to be this shitty but people still party. It's tons of fun. Crazy shit happens."
I didn't like that.
I'm not sure why, I'm not even sure if I had the right to not like it.
But for some reason, in the core of my stomach.
I did not like the thought of Shawn doing 'crazy shit'
"Oh..." Was all I managed to say.
We sat there for a few more minutes, just water the river and hearing the wind.
It was so peaceful, almost impossible to picture music blaring, people dancing with drinks in their hands.
And as we sat there in silence, I wanted to talk to him.
Ask him all sorts of questions,
Like why he never came to school?
Why he never spoke much and when he did, he seemed to be an asshole.
How was he the most popular at school, yet I never saw him have a real conversation with anyone?
It didn't make sense.
"We should be going soon.." My words were quiet but not impossible to hear.
"Why? Why have all day"
"No," I looked at him.
"We have until lunch is over"
"Well, do you have a clock because my phones in the car" he smirked.
I patted my pockets.

"Well then give me your keys and I'll go check the time"
"No way" he stood up, brushing off his bum.
"Why not"? I stood up aswell.
"Because, we don't have to go back to school. It's one more class anyway, what's it gonna hurt to skip"?
I watched as he slowly slipped his vans off and kept a slide smile to himself.
What was he doing?
"Shawn just give me your keys. I'm not skipping class."
"Nope" he began to take his pants off and my heart started to race.
"What are you doing.." I ignored his stubbornness and embarrassingly couldn't take my eyes off his lower half, as he only stood in grey boxers.
"Going for a swim? What does it look like"
"Oh.." Was all I choked out.
He grabbed the collar of his shirt and tugged up, not a slight bit of hesitation as he knew I stood there in bitter sweet shock.
His body breath taking,
Muscles moving as he stretched his arms high above his head,
He had a perfect v- line and abs that begged could pull any girl in, in an instant.
"Umm.. It's.. It's gonna be cold.." I turned my head, trying to focus on something else.
I wasn't innocent,
I wasn't what Shawn thought I was.
I'd gone to parties, I'd drank.
But no.. I had never been intimate with another being.
Not that me and Shawn were intimate.
"Who cares.." He jumped in, and with a splash, crystal water drops smacked me in the face with a cold scream.
I couldn't help but laugh.
"You got me wet you idiot.."
He smirked.
"Shawn.." I chuckled, covering my face with my palms.
"Come in"? He asked as more of a command than a question.
"No way"
I was by no means getting undressed in front of Mr. Mendes.
"Why not? The waters nice." He teased while pushing back his soaked hair.
"I can't.."
"You can't" He swam to the side of the bridge, resting his arms ontop.
I looked down into his appealing brown eyes.
"No."
"Just come."
"Shawn no." He tugged my ankle.
"Don't." I tried to pull away as he laughed.
He tugged harder.
"Shawn your gonna pull me in"! I laughed, coming closer and closer towards him.
"If you don't come, I'll just splash you.." His smile caused my heart to jump,
I didn't like the effect he had on me.
Why was he suddenly being so nice?
"No you won't.." I pulled my ankle away, and backed up.
"You asked for it"
Before I knew it, a wave of freezing water smacked me in the face.
I squeezed my eyes shut and pursed my lips.
"SHAWN"! I couldn't help but laugh while wanting to tackle him all at once.
"Willow..."? His tone of voice changed.
I rubbed my eyes,
"What? Jerk."
"Willow what's on your face"?
My heart stopped.
My stomach twisted and I felt as if all the air got sucked from my lungs.
