•kylie's pov•

we arrived at the airport and all the guys were there. no shawn.

"he didn't come?" i asked cam.
he slowly shook his head and hugged me.
"i'll miss you," he whispered.
"miss ya more cam," i told him.
i hugged the other boys, we all cried like children.

my mom pushed me through the gates as we said our goodbyes to our family. she never was good with goodbyes.

"i'm sorry sweetheart," she told me.
i just shook my head watching my friends. i turned around to give the women my boarding pass, she stamped it and i started walking to the tunnel.
"kylie!" someone yelled.

shawn?
i whiped around to see him running towards me.
"shawn!" i screamed.
i ran under the medal bars and into his arms. he embraced me with tears in his eyes.

"i'm sorry for ignoring you, i should've-"
"stop we only have like two minutes," i told him.
he nodded.
"i'll miss you." he whispered.
i just watched his mouth move.
"ky?" he whispered.
"kylie?" he asked again.

"i can't shawn." i whispered.
"what?" he asked.
"i can't be with you." i told him.
"i know," he told me.
"i just can't." i told him.

I looked up to see his brown eyes watering.
"it's okay ky, i know." he told me.
"it's so hard shawn, i want to be with you so badly, but i can't give you what another girls can." i told him bawling.

"what can other girls give me ky?" he asked.
"they can give you themselves shawn, i'm all the way in australia," i told him.
"kylie just shut up and listen okay, we are going to be together. it might not be today, tomorrow, or in four years. but we will and i'll wait for you. no other girl compares to you, not even a little bit." he told me.

i smashed my lips to his as he smiled.
"i love you," i told him as the speaker came on telling me to board.
"i love you more," he whispered.
he pulled out his obey sweatshirt i gave quinn.
"don't even try to give this back," he smiled.
i smiled back and took it.

"last call to australia!" the speaker shouted.
"bye shawn," i told him.
"bye ky," he whispered back.
we kissed one last time, then i walked into the tunnel.

i sat down next to my mom on the plane as she stroked my hair. i watched shawn wave through the glass in the airport. i smiled and waved back.

then he disappeared from my view, just like he did when we were fourteen.
