I sat at the kitchen table with Erin as Hank and Antonio talked, Jay took Diego to school and Eva was upstairs sleeping. We've been up since I showed him the texts.

"when did you get the first one? Hank asked me

"I don't know about a month ago? Can you trace the numbers?"

"Mouse is looking into, but it looks like burner phones."

"That's a lot of burner phones isn't it?" I asked

"Not really all it takes is a new sim card."

"Has he called?"

"Yeah it started with hang ups,'

"What? Alayna why didn't you say anything?" Antonio walked over to me

"You were there I told you I thought I was a wrong number or one of those telemarketer. Babe I'm sorry." I said looking up him

"Have you spoke to him? Could you recognize the sound of his voice?" Erin asked and I shook my head

"He did play a song for me one time."

"What song?"

"I can't help falling in love with you by Elvis." I said and Antonio sighed

'Does that song mean anything to you?" Erin asked

"No, she hates Elvis." Antonio spoke up

"Alright have you noticed anyone hanging around? Anyone that could stand out a patient, a co-worker?"

"No, and I don't put myself out there like that."

"Here's the thing these guys are sick, it could've been something very simple and a smile or eye contact and they took it the wrong way."

"Well that's half of Chicago I'm all over that hospital, in the clinic, the ER. I'm taking some new classes I don't know." I said as I felt my stomach get tight

"Hmm." I placed my hand on my stomach

"What is it? The baby?" Antonio kneeled in front of me placing his hand on top of mine

"Baby?" Hank asked

"You didn't tell them?" I asked him

"Not yet, do you need to go to the hospital?"

"I'm fine, I just need to get some rest."

"That's fine we're done here." Hank said and Erin stood up

"Sarge respectfully I'm going to stay with my family today." He said

"Of course, man, call if you need me." He said and Erin hugged me

'Congratulations."

"Thanks." I smiled

Antonio walked them out and he came back

"Go lay down I'll make some breakfast; you need some rest and food." He said and I got up and walked over to him

"Are you mad at me?" I asked

"No." he said not looking at me but that told me everything I needed to know. I sighed and went upstairs to lay down. I dozed off pretty quickly, but I was woken up by Eva holding a plate of food

"Dad told me to bring this to you." She said

"Thanks sweetie." I said sitting up

"How are you feeling?" I asked her
